This place is a joke. Came here yesterday to show them that my windshield started cracking even when there was no impact from a rock. It is a a defect on the windshield and should be covered under warranty since my car is only 6 months old. Arrived at 4:15 PM and was told the manager must take a picture and asses the damage and that he is normally in between 9-5 but he has already gone for the day. Came back the next morning around 10 AM we kept waiting for the manager but was being told he is busy or unavailable. He never came out to see my car. They kept me waiting for almost an hour and a half and 3 different guys looked at my car and said a rock hit it but could not pinpoint the location of impact. They are obviously avoiding repairing this under warranty and wants me to pay out of pocket. I will file a formal complaint with the BBC read more

Went in yesterday with concerns about my '08 Honda which had a cat problem. Had a side mechanic who had given me a gd deal on the repair. Followed my instinct and went to Mistlin to get on quote on the cat repair through Honda and it would have cost $1500 for the cat not including labor. Jorge was a nice guy. He broke down that if the cat were to be replaced I'd also have to be concerned about the sensors being repaired as well.. I couldn't risk spending that much on an '08 for repairs. I went to sales and spoke with Esteban, and drive off the lot with a '17 accord with 23 miles on it. Esteban was real cool, no pressure. The salesman I was paired up with, whose name is Bryan Christenson, is the guy you want to help you pick your car. He was very kind, patient, and more than willing to answer any questions I could come up with. If an oil change takes 2 hours to complete, it is not considered an Express Oil Change. Got there 10 minute before the opened and there was already a line. At 8 when they opened their doors, we all had to wait for the mechanics to finish their coffee and donuts before they would do anything. After they brought the first cars in, we had about 5 cars in front of us. They told us to get out of our car and go inside. At this point, when we were inside, they move a bunch of cars out of line and park them somewhere. There is no order or method to this. A lady that was paying in front of us said she was the fourth car in line and people that were behind her were finishing before her. We watched her complain to someone and then they started on her car. If she didnt say anything she would probably still be there. We waited outside on the benches. The mechanics spent more time wandering around than working on cars. When they were at the cars, they were just standing by it talking. No wonder is took so long for them to get anything done. read more

Auto paint repair does an excellent job I had them fix a scratch on my Chrysler 300 in 2008 owner Mike was able to match the paint by painting only 1/2 the door. Me and my fiancé came in Mistlin Honda about a year ago and was helped by a friendy gentleman named Thomas. He helped us right away and made sure we found the right vehicle and we did 17 civic hatch sport. Sami helped us out with the financing and ran into a problem so Sami gave us options to help our situation and ended up fixing it. Thank you Thomas for treating us like family and letting us know to ask if anything is needed to just ask. If you're looking for a new or used HONDA from a knowledgeable friendly dealership, this is not the HONDA dealership to visit. Numerous accounts I've gone here to search for a specific model I've wanted (purchased 3 hondas in the last 3 years) and a staff member offers to assist me only to come to discover they don't know the packaging options offered with that model or unwilling to budge on MSRP price. The last time I visited Mistlin HONDA (DEC 2016) an older gentleman offered to help me. When I asked if he had any 2017 hatchbacks in stock he said "they're in the back, you'll have to go look for yourself," he didn't even offer to walk with us or drive us over in a golf cart to view their inventory. He literally walked away from us. So we looked and didn't see the right color combo and asked the same staff member if he could locate one for us and he said they didn't do that. Now I know a dealership is willing to trade vehicles with another dealership if both parties agreed upon the trade. But his positive attitude and ethic had resigned the moment I asked this question. I left and gave my business to Mel Rapton HONDA in Sacramento. What's sad is this is the dealership close to home and I had to drive an hour away to get outstanding customer service and recognition. I was not "attacked" when entered into your showroom, but actually took a few minutes to make eye contact with Nick (who thought I was with a couple other people). From there, Nick was patient and answered all my questions, listened to me patiently as I talked the decision making for myself outloud, treated me with respect as a single woman shopping for a car. He made the experience a wonderful one. First time for me buying a car "alone". Made it a great experience. He is to be commended highly. When I came back to pick up the car the next day with my 85 yr old dad, he was respectful to him as well. And he was juggling another sale at the exact same time and juggled the two of us very well. Just had the most awful experience at this place. Sales representatives were rude and had discriminatory behavior. Let me clarify that we are a family of darker skin tones. We walk in and clearly see three sales reps in the front and say hi, no one comes over to help. We ask one of the reps to help us and he clearly doesn't want to. We then go look at the vehicles ourself and go again to ask for help. The sales rep was uncooperative and clearly didn't appreciate us being at the dealership. He would answer our questions with hesitance and rudeness. Also, it seemed as if the other two reps were cracking jokes about us? Go there if you're of a lighter skin tone and look rich, avoid it if you're the middle class or a minority. We ended up purchasing a car from their much more friendly and awesome neighbors, Toyota. We actually ended up getting an awesome deal at Toyota that we clearly weren't going to get from Mistlin Honda. I had purchased an 02 Civic from them when it was brand new. That being said, Im not rich or anything of that nature but I believe everyone should be respected. When I came to the service department and asked them If I could get some service performed, and asked if it would be finished that day (simple question) they said "mam your not driving a $30,000 car!." I wasnt being rude at all. I just wanted to know when it would be finished. Ive been getting this vehicle serviced here forever. I then went to the dealership and a salesperson didnt even come out to talk to me after 20 minutes! I was actually thinking about purchasing a new vehicle that day. I bought my Honda in 2016 brand new with extended warranty and I just trade the Honda for a different car. I came back to the dealership to speak with the financial manager to cancel my extended warranty and have my money back since I sold the car. The financial manager KARL NIEMANN told me he needed to see the paperwork for the new car to see if I could have my money back. The paperwork was in a flash drive, exactly how they do at the Honda dealership, and this MF told me they don't accept flash drive as proof of documentation, since they do the exactly F*** the same. He is an A$$ Hole, and denied to help me. Thanks to the salesman Noberto and the other financial manager whom after 2 hours waiting came out to help me. I'm completely disappointed with this service, never will be back to buy a car in this place again. And hope this MF be punished before you guys loose all the customers. read more

Sammy, was amazing! I believe he is floor mgr. He really went above & beyond 2 help me get a good deal. I found my car at another dealer (it was the only 1 & no other dealer eould be able to get this car) I met Sammy at a previous test drive at Mistlin. He said if I needed anything to call. I did & can't believe the time he spent on advising me thru my entire procees. Who does that for a deal they are not part of. The other dealer proved to be dishonest & was trying to take advantage of the fact that I really wanted the car. Thanks to Sammy, I didn't get ripped off, became aware of what all was going on, and ended up w/my car at a great deal. It wasn't a quick process tho but thats how it goes when u get armed with knowledge and gain a more power position as a buyer. Only regret is that Mistlin had no way to get this car, because after being treated so well, I would have loved to give them my business. I've always gone to Mistlin Honda since I've owned a Honda which was way before 2003 I have never had any problems or issues really until recently. I Purchased a pre-certified Honda car at Tracy Honda and I took it to Mistlin Honda in Modesto two times and both times I was told that they couldn't find anything although there is clearly a problem and I was treated disrespectfully , I was told three inconsistent stories and at one point the service manager by the name of Dennis Kraut came up and did not identify himself and just asked if you he could help me and when I explained about all the inconsistencies which I have pictures of when they had it up on the rack , as well as before I brought it in and they were trying to tell me several times that it was not oil , nothing was there , then the service manager tried to say it was fuel, no I didn't overfill the tank it wouldn't be on the bottom undercarriage of the car and it would've evaporated by then if that was even possible and basically he was very unprofessional and very rude. He also told me that he wasn't going to waste his service technicians time looking at my car when they couldn't find anything wrong with it when they had only driven it to a small area and back. Really , what a way to lose a longtime customer . The only polite one there was Named Nick and I think he sets up appointments or something like that. This place is now terrible , Honda people beware . He also put a bunch of things on the service request because I asked for documentation , they were not true like basically saying I refused service and that I refused a battery and that I was told I needed one when I was never told that that Nick in fact told me that my battery was low voltage but it was probably because I hadn't been driving it around very much because I didn't feel safe or comfortable in it and I had stated that several times and at no time was I told that I needed a battery. Dennis Kraut basically told untruths and then only documented it on the service request in the way in which he wanted it to appear and not in the reality or the truthful situation. Be aware of this . I asked him several times for his card and finally gave me his card and that's when I found out he was the service manager , very very unprofessional and rude. I had to see him again when I picked up my car with a representative from Tracy Honda , and he again was rude and raised his voice . You do not treat customers like this . read more

I took an after market key to get programmed and it would not work. They told sometimes they dont work and still charged me for programming fee. Do they think that I have the money to see if an after market key will program or not??? They should of told me that before they tried to program the key.
