Getting seated: There was a piece of something gray in my water cup and a stain on the table but the waiter cleaned the table and replaced the cup immediately upon request. Pho broth: Of all the OC pho spots I've had in the area (including Phoholic and pho 79), this one does not begin to compare to the others. The pho was not beefy and tasted mostly of pho flavoring cubes. Although the combination pho and oxtail pho broth tasted different, the mildness and lack of beefiness could be generalized to both these bowls. That being said, the bowl was still decent and I finished it regardless. Pho beef: The beef slices and rib bone were all quite tough and not very flavorful. I would expect that the beef is tender and fatty but it was neither of those things. In contrast, the oxtail was actually quite tender and fatty.
