5/5 for the service, ambience, and cleanliness of the restaurant. Where the review falls short is honestly the the food. If a restaurant is going to advertise as fusion, I would hope both cuisines they want to specialize in is yummy. Sadly, the Thai dishes that we had were not that very good. Edible, but flavorless and texture was chewy. I had the Thai yellow curry. I can appreciate the option of having a no spice level, since my tolerance is really low, but I still expect to taste the coconut and herbs from the curry. It was also runny and more broth-like than rich. Unfortunately, I barely tasted any. I ended up taking it home and combining it with my own yellow curry. My friend had the Pad Sa Ew with chicken and the noodles were too mushy and overcooked. Interestingly, it was topped with shredded red cabbage and had both broccoli and Chinese broccoli. She was not able to finish the rest of her meal. We finished with the Mango Sticky Rice and they definitely captured the flavor, but the consistency of the rice was clumpy. This was their only dish, during our visit, that was decent. While I can appreciate all the hard work that goes into starting a restaurant, having a solid menu with good cooking is essential. I hope to see improvements with the flavors, at least for the Thai dishes. Overall, we had a good experience, but disappointed by the food.

We found a gem for Vegetarian dishes!! I'm not but my friend is so I try to find Veg friendly!! We didn't even get to try everything they offered but everything we did try was delicious!! Do not skip the papaya salad it's so well balanced down to the toasted sesame seeds!! Garlic Fried rice and curry!! All so good!!

Vibe: A small but cozy space. The decor is somewhat minimal but looks elegant. The seating looks appropriately spaced out so it doesn't feel cramped despite the small space. Service: So sweet and friendly! They make you feel at home and will help you understand anything on the menu or answer any questions. Food: Delicious! There wasn't one bad dish. The flavors were all just right and the portions were a decent size. Papaya Salad - We added shrimp to it and the taste was perfect. My mom really enjoyed it and since it we asked for non-spicy, she loved it even more. I accidentally forgot they included the chili with the peanuts and dumped it all on, so be careful with that! Maybe ask for only peanuts if you can't handle spice and are forgetful like me. Tofu Garlic Noodles - A little sweet and a little savory. Wonderfully fragrant of garlic and onions. I enjoyed it a lot and finished off the whole plate. Veggie eggrolls - I love the size because so many places make thick ass eggrolls and this was a good size. Not tiny, not huge, etc. Fried to a crisp with a yummy filling. Pho Chin - My mom is a picky pho eater. She rarely likes a pho bowl made by other people. The broth was just right and they put less noodle like we asked. My mom only likes fatty meat cuts and they indeed only gave her that. Overall, a wonderful experience! We will definitely be back. I'm glad I decided to make the trip here after seeing them on Tiktok!

Such a cozy and lovely restaurant. The place is clean and lots of tables inside and outside. The owners are very friendly and help recommend so many good dishes. Big portions to share and each dish is packed with flavor. The fried rice - loaded with seafood!! Sampler - loved this plate. It has a little of everything so it's perfect to share with friends. Chicken wings and eggrolls were crispy and delicious. Salmon garlic noodles - noodles had good texture, great garlic flavor, and salmon cooked nicely Mango papaya salad - fresh, sweet, tart, and spicy. Everything you need in a good salad

Nice cozy little restaurant that's situated off Valley View. The restaurant is very clean. As we walked in, we were welcomed right away. Everyone in the restaurant was so nice and attentive. Very sweet. The food was great! Pad Thai (Beef) - big portion and the beef was very tender. lots of flavor. Pho Tai - big portion and the soup was flavorful. they give the right amount of noodles but wish they gave a little bit more meat. Overall I would come here and eat again. I would want to try other dishes next time though.

Saigon Bistrot, a Vietnamese-Thai fusion which opened late April of 2025 which I had to bookmark and visit with my girlfriend whenever we were around the area. Well we've finally took the time and visit, TWICE and here's a few of my thoughts on the place! The restaurant has a pleasant, homey vibe with all types of crowds coming in and out whether dining in or ordering for to-go/picking up which I found exceptional. The owners Sam and Angela took good care of us and made sure we had the best experience on our visit. Very calm and friendly people with a lot to say through their food! During our couple visits, we made to sure to order an appetizer along with each of our dish, so let's talk about Saigon Bistrot's entrees! FOOD Tom Yum Wings We love chicken wings and Tom Yum soup. What better way to fuse 2 of our beloved dishes together! Honestly, one of our favorite appetizers that come in a variety of flavors! Tom Yum is our favorite but we'll be trying the other flavors the next time we visit! Cajun Butterfly Shrimps(5 pieces) Perfect crisp with the Cajun seasoning, complimenting the entirety of each bite. This is a MUST-HAVE, especially if you love shrimp. Goes great with the dipping sauce that's provided! Filet Mignon Pho Now, I've only taken a couple sips from the broth and it was delightful! Saigon Bistrot nailed it with this dish cause my girlfriend already had it each time we visited so looks like I'll be ordering it the next time we're there! Seafood Deluxe Tom Yum Soup Definitely a heart-healthy type of dish that's served with vermicelli noodles! Loved everything about it and I'm not just saying that cause I love Tom Yum soup but the balance of flavor, vegetables and protein is consistent! Exceptional soup dish that I highly recommend! Chicken Pad See Ew Great dish and an absolute crowd-favorite! Packed with flavor in every bite! I really enjoyed that they added their own twist onto this dish to make it their own. I'll have to give this one another try with a different protein next time! Signature Viet-Thai Super Topping (Che Thap Cam) Highly popular dessert mix that's a great way to end a delicious meal! If you're familiar or interested in giving this a try after eating, this is the perfect dessert to top everything off! OVERALL I really enjoy places like this. Very chill vibe to bring some friends, family or significant other along. Owners, Sam and Angela are very sweet, friendly and hard-working. They've got an energy that synergizes with each other and the customers, which makes being there and eating their delicious food even better! Thank you again for having us Saigon Bistrot, we'll be seeing you soon!

    6/25 House pho

Stopped for early lunch with my MIL. Been meaning to try this new spot since they opened. Interior is modern & comfortable. An upgrade from previous occupants. My MIL had the pork Ban Mi with side salad. She raved about the sandwich. Not a Chinese style cha sui flavor but more of a soy sauce sugar type roast pork. Salad was dressed lightly with an Asian rice vinegar sugar/honey (maybe ginger) dressing. She LOVED the dressing. My choice of the house pho (rare beef, brisket, tripe & tendon) was SO GOOD! Complex slightly sweet broth. For me, broth really is the star when it comes to pho. It's very good here. There were ample meats & tender tendons. One of the meats was cut a bit thicker than I'm use to. It wasn't difficult to chew, just thicker. Could have used a bit more bean sprouts which was probably available upon asking but we were n a hurry. The coolest thing was the utensil drawer beneath the table. Like a utensil drawer at home which housed the spoons, forks, chopsticks & straws. Had the usual table top condiments:housing, chili sauce, Sriracha, etc. Overall a nice place so close to my neighborhood. We're so happy to have a viet/thai fusion place nearby. It was sorely needed in this neighborhood. With the extensive menu, we both decided we needed several more trips to taste all the menu items we were drooling over. The proprietress was VERY attractive. Service was quick & helpful.

Excellent new Vietnamese / Thai fusion restaurant that took over the Kerostena and Taboon location. Instead of just taking over the spot they gave it a beautiful makeover adding both booths and tables. Owners Sam and Angela are the friendliest people and they have so much pride in their restaurant. Prices are reasonable with a large selection Vietnamese and Thai dishes that includes a vegetarian section. They've got interesting beverages and desserts too! I live within walking distance of this restaurant so I am really glad they're here! If the menu looks familiar they used to own Saigon District in Huntington Beach and carried over a lot of items. My favorite that they kept is the sautéed tofu salad. Sounds boring yet it's packed with so much flavor and makes for a healthy satisfying meal. The cajun salmon is also delicious! Place was busy the entire time we were there so it seems like this is exactly what the area needed. Welcome to the neighborhood!!

To go #22 with tripe, tendon, rare beef

$5 for 2 chicken spring rolls $17 pho #22 special (tripe!) Portions are just ok but I know everything is expensive nowadays. There is an option to order additional protein but not a larger pho size in general. The broth is really good; I was told it was pressure cooked bone broth. The owners are very nice and hard working. All in all due to the location being very close I will likely come back. I got my order to go & it was very quick. There were a few other customers so it wasn't loud but they had music on. There's a few outside tables too which is a nice option & breeze.

My wife was feeling Pho would be a good choice given the cold weather. We happened to be in Garden Grove that day and thought we'd give this place a shot. My big word for the spot...grace. While the food was quite delicious, our service was sub par. My wife and I were hoping to get in and out in roughly 30 minutes (infant was sleeping). We were sat immediately but no one took our order for literally 20 minutes. I'm sitting across the table from my now angry and frustrated wife. She says "let's just leave." Right as we are closing the menus, our server comes. We obviously ended up staying but to my wife's reluctance. From ordering to food delivery was about 5 minutes. And while the interior is cute and gives a Saigon vibe, my wife was just ready to go. And finally, grace... As we are leaving I spot the "open on X day" sign. They just opened their doors a couple days ago. With that in consideration 4 stars was appropriate. I'm willing to give them another shot but I'm not going out of my way to come back.

A nice little hidden gem in Garden Grove serving the best Vietnamese and Thai fusion! Immediately as you walk in, we were greeted by the staff and the interior was decorated beautifully. The service was amazing, got seated immediately and food came out so fast. We ordered the wings, deluxe fried rice, and the chicken pad Thai and everything was absolutely delicious.. The deluxe fried rice had different types of protein chicken shrimp shell fish etc and was the star of the show. The wings were fish sauce coated, an item that you can't find anywhere else. Also their Thai tea was one of the best I had. Overall, everything was good. Come out and support the business! 5/5 stars.

This place looks new but I want to say everything is decently priced and it tastes really good! The service was nice and the guy who took my order in a crutch was very friendly. Ambiance wise everything was clean and it offered a nice table sitting.

This Vietnamese restaurant in West Garden Grove is a welcome addition to our community! The food is delicious-from the spring rolls to my favorite classic Vietnamese dish, vermicelli noodles. The owners are gracious Prompt and helpful in serving the customers. If you like Thai food, they have some wonderful Thai offerings as well. Although we are close to Little Saigon is wonderful to have a great Vietnamese place nearby. This is also a great freeway close option to the 405 and the 22 if you're traveling. Will definitely be back!

Once seated, you'll notice the menu if full of items that you rarely see here in the USA but we have had in Bangkok. We ordered 4 items for 4 people even though in Thailand you always eat family style. I selected the first 3 and asked the waiter to select the 4th based on my first 3 choices. That was a good idea. I chose Kao Soi Noodles, Dry Boat Noodles, and Crab Fried Rice based on Yelp reviews. My server, Veerawan, chose Fried Fish Fillet in Spicy Herb Salad. The Kao Soi Noodles came with several pieces of perfectly fried crabs and a bundle of crispy noodles. Underneath that was a delicious yellow curry on soft noodles. The fried bits were not greasy and the coating well seasoned. The yellow curry noodles were so delicious and rich that I couldn't put my chopsticks down. The Crab Fried Rice should be mandatory. Instead of a stir fry of rice and eggs with some surimi, at Manaao the entire cap of the fried rice mound is covered with lump crab meat. At first I thought $24 was expensive, now I think it's a steal. Look at my picture! The flavor was spot on too, the rice was chewy, the crab flavor throughout but you also get mouthfuls of crab without the hassle of shells. It comes with a lime wedge but also this spicy, tangy lime sauce that just sends the dish to the moon. The name of the restaurant is lime in Thai so they are supporting their brand with this sauce. Bottle this stuff! The Dry Boat Noodle was our least favorite but not because it wasn't tasty. The ingredients were braised beef and morning glory and meatballs. Because we messed with the recipe and ordered it dry (I didn't want two soups) the meatballs were cold-to-room-temp and flavorless. The noodles were some kind of special noodle too, that required the soup to separate. This dish should not be ordered dry. It's an easy fix since we all splashed some of the broth they knowingly brought on the side to wake it up. The broth is rich and should not be missed, so don't skip on this dish just because it was my third out of four dishes. The Fried Fish Fillet in Spicy Herb Salad was the unexpected plot twist. This scored very high in all the major Thai flavor categories of spicy, sweet, salty and sour. You get the benefit of lots of snake head fish without the chore of avoiding bones. The coating on the fried fish pieces were coated in the delicious sauce. Since it's technically a salad underneath and the fish is mixed with all those fresh herbs and large cashews, you get a dish that is one-of-a-kind. I would order this again in a heartbeat. I wrote too much already so I'm not going to say anything about the service and ambience except they both get 5 of 5 stars. Perfect, perfect, perfect.

I saw people ordering large party tray for papaya salad. Tom Yum Soup with seafood: Great soup option especially in the winter. The portion is seafood is great. The taste of sour and spicy balanced well together. The restaurant seems to be under-staffed. We waited for a while to be seated because the only person working in the front was helping in the back. And our Pad Thai was left out when we did make the order. Luckily the front staff was friendly and the food really made it up. I came here with three friends, and even though they technically open at 11:30 AM, we showed up around 12 PM, so they were a bit late in getting things going. We ordered the wet pad Thai, the crying tiger steak, and the Thai sausage. The pad Thai was flavorful and had just the right amount of sauce, wet, but not soggy. The crying tiger steak was cooked well despite being on the thinner side, surprisingly tender, soft, and flavorful. The Thai sausage was also great, not totally sure what meat was inside, but it was delicious enough to not care. It seemed like it was pan-fried, because the outside had a crispy, bubbly texture, while the inside stayed piping hot. The interior is simple and nothing out of the ordinary, similar to most Thai spots. It's located in a strip mall, so while there's a dedicated parking lot, it's a shared space with other restaurants, which means it can fill up depending on when you go, but overall, not too bad.

I loved the ambiance for sure. We saw a couple order a few things I asked what they had ordered. One was grilled pork neck and they suggested the Tom Yum Mama Seafood soup and for dessert mango and sticky rice. I also got green thai tea for drink. We got it all mild because my spice tolerant isn't as good as it use to me, and my mom usually tolerates mild as well in regards to spice. The presentation of the food is great. The Soup was so delicious! I'll definitely order again. It had noodles, like thin ramen. The seafood was delicious with the crunchy pork. It blended so well. I love that the soup was sour and spicy. The pork neck was a bit too spicy, and so I believe they might have not prepared it mild. It was a bit difficult to eat because of it, but still really good. The mango and sticky rice is delicious as well. Perfectly made. I will definitely come back here.

Once you're in though, the wait becomes worth it. Everything has big shareable portions including the apps. The dishes are all super flavorful and cooked perfectly. I'm basic but my favorite was the pad Thai. The noodles were cooked exactly where they should be (not over but not under) and the flavor was just perfect. The tom kha was also surprisingly yummy. I'm not usually the type to get soup at Thai but I really enjoyed how well each flavor balanced out. Would definitely come back!
