Our reservation was at 5:45 PM, but the entire meal (one appetizer, one main course, and one dessert) stretched to nearly three hours. It took over an hour just to receive drinks, which set a very frustrating tone for the evening. When our main dish arrived, it was overcooked. What stood out most was that the staff acknowledged this--bringing additional tuna and apologizing--yet the dish was still sent out in that condition. If the kitchen knew it was overcooked, it should not have been served. To end the evening, when I left a $10 tip on a $200 bill (which, given the experience, was more than fair), the waiter sarcastically remarked, "thank you for the generous tip." This comment was unprofessional, unnecessary, and frankly, the worst part of the evening. I understand that every restaurant can have an off night, but the combination of extreme delays, poor food execution, and a rude closing interaction is unacceptable. First time here and came for my husbands birthday. We love trying new places and were looking forward to it. We arrived on time for our reso but they looked very busy so there was a delay in getting us seated but wasn't a big deal. The tables on the other had were on top of each other so was really awkward and kind of hard to get to our table itself. We were greeted pretty quickly by a young man who started us with water. He was great throughout the night and had the best service of our experience. The server came by a few minutes later and got our drink order. I tried to ask about specials but they seemed off put and said they were planning to do that when they came back. Was kind of awkward and felt uncomfortable asking questions throughout our time there. We started with the shrimp tempura roll which the server highly suggested. It was meh and a lot of the shrimp tempura piece on top were just tempura. Not sure what happed to the shrimp. Followed by the calamari which the server said was the best they'd ever have. My husband and I love calamari, so we had to get it. It was so over cooked and chewy that it was unpleasant to eat, but we loved the Asian style sauce and slaw. Next we had a ceasar salad and shrimp bisque. Both were tasty and you can't go wrong with a classic soup and salad. For the entree my husband got the bone in ribeye special, I got the sea bass, and we split a twice baked potatoes. Everything came out timely and tasted good, though nothing special. Lastly we were treated to the butter cake for my husband birthday. Which I was very excited about because that is one of my favorite desserts. Sadly it was over baked and not the gooey rich butter cake people hope for, though it was on the house. I and giving the 2 stars for 3 reasons 1) the service was some of the least personable and awkward I've ever had. It wasn't just one person, but through out our experience I felt they had an unpleasant look on their face when asked anything. For example I asked for small plates when my husband and I split the app and the server never came back. Or when I declined them putting the sauce over my fish and just have it on the side. 2) the table set up is wild. You'd think it's was a holiday weekend like Valentine's Day were they are trying to cram as many people as possible. At one point they pushed a table so close to me and my husband that it felt like we were sharing a table with the couple next to us. Also trying to get to our table and out of our table leaving was super difficult and cramped 3) I wouldn't usually comment on cost but given the execution on the food and what we ended up getting, it was way overpriced. They consider themselves an "Upscale supper club". I'm going with "Top shelf steak and Seafood" Pretty phenomenal occurrence. Great steaks, great seafood, better service. The mixologist was genius! The drinks are served with dry ice infusion. Looks wicked! The smoked old fashioned reminded me of my dad's drink. Presentation was great; taste was smooth. Everything you order is prepared painstakingly accurate and unique and it all tastes exquisite. I highly recommend the Point Judith Calamari (with the sweet chili sauce), the Florida Grouper (Lobster, gnocchi and peas) or the Twin Lobster Tails (with incredible asparagus). On the Steak side, I only get the Fillet (usually the 10oz). The seasoning alone is perfection, it's broiled in the same manner. Three visits and three separate wait-teams, Erin, Tryan and Dave. All so great, one didn't stand above the others. Bare with the expense. The entire experience will put you out $100+ per person. An elegant dining experience to say the least. This is an amazing place to have a date, or a classy gathering with close friends or coworkers. The indoor seating has low light with beautiful glows from the vases filled with a large array of wines. There's also an outdoor terrace seating, that's well heated and even has a fireplace on the end of it. You can enjoy the views and overlook the activity taking place at Easton Town Center. The service was impeccable, as expected. The presentation of the martinis were unique and lovely. Who doesn't love a smoking martini or cocktail? The delivery and explanation of the special menu items were greatly appreciated. I ordered the Blackened Snapper, which was the best decision I ever made because it was cooked to perfection. Not really sure what was going on but we were ready to check out and things just took a long time to flag him down. Food was so good. We order the hamachi crudo to start, and for entrees, the salmon and the lobster linguine. The hamachi was fresh and the flavor was amazing. Tangy, sweet and spicy. The pickled mangos were not extremely pickley in flavor, went so well with the seaweed salad. Wish there were more. Lobster pasta was delicious. Big chunks of lobster. Def get what you pay for it. It was creamy yet light in flavor. Reheated well the next day. My bf crushed his salmon. Sweet teriyaki flavor. The rice was sticky! Husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and thought this would be the perfect splurge spot as we've been wanting to go for a while. 8pm reservation, we were sat on time but at the worst table in the place. Directly on the path for everyone walking by and all of the staff seemed to gather directly in front of us between our table and the bar. Glasses were shattered and glass was sent flying onto our feet, one hostess took off her shoe and was adjusting her sock(?) while standing directly on the floor in front of us while we were eating. Server was kind, service in general was slow. 10+ mins waiting on drinks and 25-30 mins btwn courses. Ordered a 10oz medium rare steak and it was cooked perfectly inside but absolutely charred on the outside, while my husbands ribeye had no charing at all. All of the food we got was fine... but for those prices it should have been amazing in our opinion. I did send my steak back and was given another that was again, perfect on the inside but black on the outside. We did speak to a manager who offered to move us or how he could help but at that point we just wanted to wrap up and get out of there. I was surprised at how dim lit some areas were but the overall vibe was very casual. Like sweatpants casual. I usually will take some food photos but I failed to do so this time. The food was so delicious I forgot to take photos!! So let's start there. Blackened snapper was amazing!! Seasoned perfectly and a big portion. My mother and sister both had the salmon and it was just lovely. And my 11 year old niece had pasta. The chef wiped up a special tomato sauce for her and she loved it. So that brings us to the service. Impeccable. We had an amazing wait staff. Through, kind, responsive.... And now ambience. It was so lovely in there but also lively (in a good way). I love fine dining just like everyone but sometimes the atmosphere can be a little dull. Ocean sushi roll was excellent; I would go back just for that. 1/2 Caesar salad with Salmon was exactly what I wanted with crisp romaine and seared salmon cooked medium as requested. Matt and others waited on us and conversed with us a nice amount (conversational, but also left us alone). We went back again late the next night while we were still in town because we enjoyed it so much! Less busy on a Sunday. Had 1/2 order goat cheese raviolis (light pasta with very buttery sauce that went well with house bread) and 1/2 order calamari (good, very fried, think there's better, more interesting app options). I like my portions small, and I think sushi and tartare were more than enough. Presentation was nice too. The restaurant itself has a nice calming atmosphere with dimmed lighting and the seating is nice and comfortable! There are a few tables close to neighboring tables but not many. Took my brother here as a pre bachelor party dinner to celebrate somewhere nice. We showed up 30 minutes early for our reservation but still sat us right away. Service all night was incredible. Between our waitress being extremely helpful and attentive to the bussers taking plates to the staff checking our food was up to standard we were pleased with it all. The food itself was incredible. We started with the jumbo crab cake which was spectacular. The slaw on the side was different, but the sauce with the cake itself was great. We both got the 8oz filet and it was just fall apart tender. Every bite just melted in your mouth and was cooked perfectly. The Gouda tater tots were like biting into clouds and the brussel sprouts were tender and roasted just right. We finished with the black raspberry chip ice cream which was super delicious but we weren't convinced that it wasn't just from Graeters. Parking: This location does not have close designated parking. I had to park my truck down the street and walk through the outdoor shopping center. Not safe for single women at night. Customer Service: I arrived at 5:30pm since I had a 5:30pm reservation for 8 people tonight, but was not allowed to sit at my table until a majority of my party arrived, I do not understand this rule, but just fyi to everyone (-1 star). My waitress did well and no one's order was wrong. Our water glasses were continually refilled and our wine bottles were quickly replaced once empty. Boyfriend surprised me for our anniversary with dinner at Mitchell's Ocean Club. This was my first time here. The restaurant is so beautiful and the staff very nice and professional. It doesn't seem like it is on the second floor of Easton Mall. We started each with a glass of Marenco Strev Moscato d'Asti. We were brought a small precut loaf of bread with whipped butter. We shared a Shrimp Cocktail, consisting of four Jumbo Prawns with a homemade cocktail sauce and wedge of lemon. I ordered Land & Sea, which was an 8oz Filet Mignon with three Jumbo Scallops in a butter sauce. My boyfriend ordered an 8ox Filet Mignon with a Lobster Tail. They brought him a side of melted butter over an open flame. We also had a side of Creamy Mashed Potatoes. We finished with a piece of Carrot Cake and Creme Brulee with blueberries, raspberries, and a sprig of mint. Our waiter, 'T' was great! Very knowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating. We spoke to the manager to let him know they have a great employee who make the whole experience fantastic! The evening was like a well oiled machine. My wife had the lobster tails and I a filet. Both were very good as were the garlic mashed potatoes we shared. Service was fine but my wife's wine came out about half way through her entree. Bad: Prices for cocktails and wine were 20% to 30% higher than comparable prices at other high end restaurants. The restaurant instead of having bread at the table made it an appetizer for $8.00. Bread should not be an appetizer bread is the signal that real food will be coming (apologies to John Pinette). Ugly: We were able to pay at the table with the option to leave a tip. There were suggested amounts, 10%, 15%, 20% you could also leave a custom tip. The problem with the suggested amount is that they were on the entire tab, including tax. Now a tip is supposed to be for service and as far as I could tell the state of Ohio was not involved in our dinner. I left a custom tip of 20% of the dinner bill excluding the tax. read more
