I ordered the barg am filet mignon, that meat was beat up, slapped, toss through the ringer or something cause it was dry and no where near tender like filet mignon supposed to be, this place had to be lying about serving filet mignon. I've had carne Asada and beef stew meat that was more tender. Hell even my cars tires could be more tender. Love this place! It's consistently good and it's comfort food. Meat and rice! My husband gets the chicken koobideh and I get the beef koobideh. There is a lot more on the menu but it's hard for us to stray away from our favorites. WARNING: Employees at this business expressly do not wear masks. A couple of hours ago I arrived to pick up my online takeout order at this food establishment and observed that the two workers present in the kitchen and cashier area were wearing neither masks or gloves while handling food. I approached the cashier counter and told a middle-aged male worker named Max (the individual pointed at the name written on his uniform when asked for it) that I have canceled my order because they do not wear masks while preparing food, to which he responded that it is fine and that they will eat that food themselves. As I asked if that is how they operate, Max stated "yes, we don't wear them; we are not going to wear masks here". This place was a great little find for my wife and I a few weekends back. They have a great lunch special, for $3.99, and a menu full of a wide variety of items to suite everyone's needs. Went there and ordered 2 breakfast burritos. The cashier asked me if I wanted everything in it. As in all the meats; ham, bacon and sausage. I asked " It comes with all that ?" She replied "yes" so I told her yes that's fine. Couple minutes later she comes to me and tells me her boss told her that they have to charge me extra for all the meat. I told her just make 1 burrito, bacon and the other sausage. So after about 20 -30 minutes waiting for my order, I get home and one burrito is ham and the other is sausage. The food was plain and sad to look at. I could have made a better tasting burrito. The service was not good. It was their fault I was told it comes with all the meats. I have been driving past this place for several months now and wanted to try it. Went in to have a lunch with a friend. It was almost empty except for a couple sitting towards the back. A man was manning the store. Ordered the gyro wrap combo and my friend the gyro combo plate. He handed us two cups for water which my friend had requested. I wanted a soda. I asked if both cups were for water. I had ordered a diet soda. He seemed annoyed and replied that I said I wanted water, not soda. I figured he didn't hear me so I got water. The table we sat at initially was smeared with something, which I had not noticed til we sat down. We moved tables and waited for our food. I decided to check my receipt and noticed that he did charge me for a drink and when i mentioned it to him he claimed that the soda machines did not have carbonation. I asked for a $3 refund for the drink but I only got $1.50, which he claimed was the difference for the salad. I didn't argue, but sat down to wait for the food. Later as we ate, I saw a couple of people stop by to pick up orders and get directed to the bottled soda. I guess that could have been offered as an option. My gyro was sparsely filled and the tiny salad was not brought with it until I inquired about it after I noticed that my friend got her complete meal all at once. When I asked for more of the cucumber yogurt sauce he seemed annoyed again and said the wrap already had some. I could not taste it or see it so I related this to which he incredulously repeated after me. He handed me another sauce cup. The food was mediocre at best. The lamb in the gyro tastes like the pre-packaged kind from Costco. Parts of my wrap were still cold. It was also a little dry. As I sat there waiting for my food, I began to see how Tun down everything looked and noticed more dirty tables. My overall impression is that the place is poorly kept, serves mediocre food and is pricey for what you really get. We ordered take-out and were disappointed. We had ordered the babaganoush and pita for an appetizer and two orders of mixed koobideh plates. Must say the babaganoush was delish. But there was only one pita bread with it. A regular sized piece of pita bread for both of us to share. We could only eat a small amount of the babaganoush because for the two of us, one pita bread didn't go very far. I understand one pita bread (each) for each dinner, but for the appetizer? So now we have to go out and buy more pita bread to finish eating the appetizer. On to the dinners: the side of hummus was small...very small...and there was one very small piece of pita bread under the meat to use for the hummus. Again, there should always be a generous amount of pita bread with the dinner...even without the appetizer. The chicken koobideh was very dry. The beef was OK. My husband is Armenian. We love Mediterranean food. When we eat out many times we choose Mediterranean. I wouldn't mind trying the wraps here but wouldn't order a dinner here again. Wish I had better news. Food is really delicious. The 1 vacant star is because of when I purchased a bottled yogurt flavored water it was expired. I did not look at the expiration date prior to drinking it.
