Needed to update my review because mixed has surpassed sweet green in my book. The peachy and the bacchans bowl are to die for. The sauces are unique and delicious and they go "heavy" with no extra charge. I prefer dining there. The plates are nice, but the vibes are chill.
This is my go to spot for a quick weekday lunch when working from home. They have so many salad options with tons of customizable options so you can get it exactly how you want it. Much more flexibility than going to a restaurant and choosing from 4 salads on the menu. My favorite is the Puebla salad. If you're a valkyries fan they have a salad named after them too! Prices could be a little cheaper, but that's what you get in this neighborhood, so what can you do.

Here's how to went: Quality: it's good it's fresh, nothing super out of this world but the quality of the veggies are good Options: plenty plenty plenty Cleanliness: the bathrooms were clean, the ground, the tables, and utensils were clean as well, the prep station was a little messy and there's definitely cross contamination but I guess it wasn't the word but definitely not the best Customer service: not good. I wanted a build my own and I thought there was unlimited toppings, I wasn't told there was a limit and I asked for more toppings and was told no he just started mixing the salad. He said it would be extra and that's fine he shouldn't have assumed. I went to pay and I wanted and they said "you paid already, went through" and kept chit chatting no you need utensils or napkins or a bag. I sat down and did some work and had to ask for a bag and they just stared at me. Idk they weren't customer oriented, not the worst but definitely not welcoming.
Eating the Mandarin Salad, you'd forget you got it from a fast casual salad bowl chain (not that there's anything wrong with that kind of establishment). The ingredients are complementary but also stand out on their own, both in terms of flavor and texture. And while the pre-composed salad is excellent, the customization option is appreciated--especially being able to sub tofu for chicken. Plus, the tofu is well-seasoned and delicious, not a raw afterthought like so many tofu substitutes. While the service is friendly and efficient, I wouldn't strongly recommend the restaurant for dining in, as it's not a super warm space. That said, Mixt doesn't seem architected with dine-in in mind, so I don't consider that a demerit.

Ordered the chili crunch salad 1 oz of chicken, if I'm being generous Dry, not flavorful (I ordered heavy dressing - mixed in) Crispy cauliflower very good So obviously a sweetgreen copy cat, down to how they stack the salad cartons.
We were close by and decided to come here for dinner. We ordered the barbecue bowl and the Dave's taco bowl with kale. I asked to substitute the cilantro lime rice in the taco bowl for quinoa and staff were happy to help me. They also asked me how much dressing I would like- heavy, medium, or light. The inside was minimalistic and modern, and there were plenty of open tables and booths to sit at. I would definitely come again when I'm too tired or don't have time to make dinner.
Roach in the rice bowl, which also was room temperature rice and chicken. I have liked other locations of this store but this one has seemed dirty before to me and now this.
Shroom scramble was not great. No seasoning at all. Bacon was 6.50 each for 2 pieces. Not my first choice of spot for breakfast.
Split is a super cute restaurant located on Polk street. The interior is modern and spacious- a great place to catch up with friends. You order at the counter and pick your seat. Sonoma Sandwich: chicken breast, sliced apple, goat cheese, pickled fennel, arugula, and walnut currant spread. I absolutely loved this flavor combination. The sandwich tasted heavenly and light. My only gripe is that I felt like the sandwich at times was dry. Maybe the chicken could've been juicer or they could add more spread or an aioli to the buns. Split fries: this was made to perfection, I love the freshly grated Parmesan that was added on top! Overall I'd definitely come back! Wish their to-go boxes were a little bigger or had a fastening feature on it because the lid wouldn't close on my other half of my sandwich. :)
I come here for caffeine and French fries. my phone service doesn't work well in the space, but hey it's T-Mobile. Is 3 stars a bad review? I like most service, the French fries are good and sweet potato fries. The eggs weren't very good when I had them as a scramble, and the chicken tenders were small with a lot of breading. But the burger was great. I should give them a 4, but can't because of the eggs. I'll be back, just not for the scramble or chicken tenders
My husband and I were looking for something new. So we found this place. After what happened I wish I went somewhere else. I got really bad food poisoning after I ate the Buffalo chicken sandwich. I am miserable. I had stuff coming out both ends of my body.(sorry for being detailed) I'm still sick. I'm thinking the chicken wasn't very fresh when they cooked it. My husband got the beet salad. He he enjoyed it. I definitely won't be coming back here again, not going to recommend this place either. I hope this food poisoning will be gone by tomorrow so I can enjoy my Thanksgiving vacation.
I love getting my salads here. I really like the Cobb salad, and Puebla. I've had almost everything on their menu and have enjoyed it all. Everything is super fresh. I've been obsessed with the Puebla salad. The crispy chicken pairs really nicely with the crunchy veggies. I usually get it without sweet potatoes, add kale and cilantro rice. So yum! They are really accommodating and you can add or take out ingredients depending on your diet or preference. I usually take it to go or pickup from this location but they have quite a bit of seating inside. Cute place to get a salad! read more
I wanted something healthy as I've been eating out a lot since my fridge broke. And that's when I ran into Mixt. I ended up getting their Jing's Chili Crisp salad. I'm glad I got it with light dressing because it was just right. The dressing had a nice spicy kick that didn't overpower the rest of the ingredients. The salad consisted of romaine lettuce, blackened chicken, roasted sweet potatoes, avocado, edamame, carrots, red bell peppers, scallions, wonton crisps, and a lime wedge. It's a lot but they all worked together, especially when getting a pop of sweetness from the sweet potatoes. They're small but they make their presence known. I especially liked the crunchy textures of the wonton crisps, lettuce, and carrots. It's pretty spacious inside, though it was a bit hot from the high temps earlier that day with no wind. But I sat next to the windows, where there's bar seating, so it was cooler there. And there are some tables outside. Service was fast and friendly. Overall, I enjoyed my salad and would come back here to try more off their menu. read more

Bachans bowl (subbed arugula for kale and mixed greens) with extra sauce. It's okay. This is the third time I've tried Mixt and each time, I always have the same thought. That it's okay. I think sweetgreens tastes much better. The ingredients are fresh here too but it's just not as tasty. Good and fast service. Immediately made my bowl as I walked in. It was fun to play the claw game after ordering. You might be able to win a free salad, drink, or baggu if you're able to pick up a sphere! read more

I come here for caffeine and French fries. my phone service doesn't work well in the space, but hey it's T-Mobile. Is 3 stars a bad review? I like most service, the French fries are good and sweet potato fries. The eggs weren't very good when I had them as a scramble, and the chicken tenders were small with a lot of breading. Fast service, I came out of a different meal/ restaurant still hungry, was craving fried chicken. I checked a few restaurant close by including the Japanese one (closed during lunch), Mediterranean (chicken not fried) and the grocery market (there wasn't a cooked food aisle) and conclusion was closest I'm coming is a fried chicken sandwich. Sandwich was $16.71. I would come back. Buttery rich bun, but bit cold. I'm happy. read more

Ok....choose Split for a late lunch and the sunny seating outside. Nice outside area with dividers, unfortunately when patron get a table in the sun, they aren't quick to leave the space. Then around the corner a few more regular seats. Anyway...the food: Ordered split salad...it was kinda low on my list...like a 2/3. Then, we get to the Crispy Deluxe...unexpectedly AMAZING! I'm taking about perfectly cooked fried chicken. PERFECTLY COOKED, PERFECTLY SEASONED, FREAKIN AMAZING chicken. Avacado, bacon, lettuce. if I only had the sandwich this place would have 100% been 5 stars. The funny thing about it...I love salad....one of my favorite foods...and this place I'd pass on future salads. Then there's chicken...normally, I could live without ever eating chicken. And yet...the Chicken is a star ...worth a drive. Staff pleasant and helpful. Thank you for the amazing chicken....is a wonderful dish. read more
Needed to find a casual place to meet up with a friend for lunch and we settled on Split. I had the classic crispy chicken sandwich while my friend had the 'cado sandwich. It was a super rainy day when we went, so the place was extremely quiet and it was hard to speak to each other without our voices carrying and becoming an annoyance to the few other customers. I felt like the chicken sandwich was very mediocre and not worth the money. read more

I got a Build Your Own salad from here and it was good!All my additions didnt necessarily have added flavor (like the carrots and radish are both raw and plain; the cauliflower was just plain; the chicken was juicy but had zero flavor). If it wasn't for my dressing, I would've given 2 stars. Not that I expect my spinach to have intense flavor but when salad places just add random raw veggies and don't spice up the protein, it makes it very plain. My colleagues have gotten sandwiches from here and they said it's good. I got the Parmesan sandwich months ago and enjoyed. read more

Variety of vegetarian options: 4/5 Really enjoyed Split - their veggie burger is house made and holds together quite well. I also loved that they had a fried cauliflower option to top salads with instead of a meat option. Mac and Cheese was also solid. Overall really wholesome place if you're looking for a great lunch or casual dinner option and we'll definitely be back! Space is clean is spacious as well. read more
Split has closed a few locations, but this one remains open and offers indoor and outdoor seating plus to go options. We had The Grove salad, which was a generous chicken salad and Crispy D'lux sandwich. The sandwich was a perfect combination of bacon, avocado, fried chicken and shredded lettuce on a roll. It usually comes on a Brioche roll with siracha ranch dressing. However, I am allergic to eggs so had it on chiabata, with dressing on the side. I was very satisfied and only ate half. I brought the remaining half home for my son. He thought it was a great sandwich, but thought the half was a small half! Definitely worth returning to. read more

We have always liked this place for a quick sandwich or salad but today we tried the breakfast menu and were blown away! The breakfast croissant sandwich with brown sugar bacon was absolutely phenomenal and the butterball potatoes were worth coming back for on their own. The staff is always very friendly, service is quick and the atmosphere is upscale and pleasant. Cannot recommend this place enough! read more

Despite Split being known for their chicken sandwiches, I've only ever tried their salads. I just KNOW I'll be sleepy if I have one of their chicken sandwiches for lunch LOL. Been here twice so far to order to-go and I've had their Grove salad the first time and Cali salad the second time. Personally, I enjoyed the Grove salad a lot and would come back here for that. The roasted chicken was so smooth and not dry at all. I love balsamic vinaigrette as my dressing and adding apples lended sweet and juicy notes to the meal. On the other hand, when I ordered the Cali, my roasted chicken was on the drier side and the avocado wasn't fully sliced, which meant I had to manually break it apart in chunks with my fork. In my second visit, I ordered a bunch of food to-go for a team lunch and if you're looking for catering options, Split is a great option! They packed everything neatly into two large bags, was ready when I arrived at the set pick-up time, included a bunch of utensils, and most importantly, got all our orders correctly! Amazing service!! All factors considered -- it's a nice, casual American restaurant to grab a meal at. Would love to dine in (if I have time!) here sometime soon since I don't know if my eyes are playing tricks on me, but...it seems like the salad plate is a lot larger than the to-go box for salads! Like if I can have more of the Grove salad??? Yes, please!! read more
