I Didn't know anything about this restaurant but was in the area and decided to give a try and it was awesome! from the great hostess and servers to the food its a busy restaurant so be prepared but they were fully staffed and service was on point. restrooms clean too! I was a little nervous as I didn't see too many Asian guests but when I walked by the open kitchen I saw all the Wok chefs were and they crushed it! will definitely recommend to anyone who likes Chinese food I was impressed!

Came in today on a super busy Sunday, and by looking at the reviews, and videos of this place I think it's always that way lol.. so book a reservation. I decided to order out because of how packed it was, and honestly it's not a very big place as well.. I ordered an assortment of things as usual.. Crab Xiao Long Bao Soup Dumpling MiYa House Fried Rice Eggplant & Green beans in Garlic Sauce Next time I would check my order before leaving because I said eggplant and green beans but maybe because it was so loud and she did seem a tad bit frazzled, she didn't hear it all, so I just ended up with a side of green beans.. I do want to cry a little lol cause I hate getting an incorrect order. Overall Everything was good, I'd definitely go again, and dine in this time.

We arrived at almost opening time, it was not too busy yet! The food is good. The service was excellent. Everything was clean and tidy. Our food was perfect. The shrimp were huge in my dish and my wife's chicken fried rice. That was maybe the best fried rice ever. We had the pork spare rib appetizer and there was enough for three, they were large pieces. Go!

We placed a to-go order do dinner recently and had a great experience. Their online system was easy to use. We decided on delivery over pickup because it was about the same time frame. The reusable bag that the food came in was pretty neat. The sesame chicken had great flavor. The chicken egg rolls and crab wantons were tasty. The pork belly bao buns were amazing. We were able to make 2 meals out of the sesame chicken, so the portion sizes out match the price. We will definitely check this place out again soon.

Went to Miya Chinese food in Dallas during happy hour from 3pm-6pm and it was actually really good for the price. They have $5 happy hour menu, so I tried the chicken fried rice, chicken lo mein, and spicy dumplings. Everything tastes good and was definitely worth it. The place was packed when we went, but the service was still amazing. Definitely would go back !

Always delicious! Food was delivered fast! Just don't compromise cleaning all of the shrimp- it was only two but something I definitely check for when eating shrimp. Love having this close to home. Service is always spot on! Oh and if you don't like the vibe-70/80s music like you're at the club then this isn't the place for you! For us it was great!

Random weekday dinner dine-in. I was super shocked to see such a crowd. However we were quickly seated. Our server for the evening promptly greeted us and shared a glass of water and made house recommendations. We decided to try egg rolls as an appetizer and decided on our entrees shortly after. I went with the black pepper beef noodles and my beau got orange chicken. All the dishes came out plated beautifully and was pretty decent in taste. I think I need to try the dumplings or buns next time to get the real experience of this place. We weren't too exploratory during our visit and stuck to the basics. We will definitely stop in again.

My husband has been wanting to check this place out since it opened and it did not disappoint. The spricy shrimp wonton were my absolute favorite. We got two orders of them they were so good. The bbq ribs fell off the bone and were also really good. We also shared the beef tossed noodles! Everything was fresh and hot . We will definitely return to try more things.

Best Chinese food I've had in ages!!! Our server was super attentive, upbeat, and made great suggestions. We started with a pot of Jasmine tea and then proceeded to order an array of delicious items. The ribs were fall off the bone and perfectly sweet and savory. Both dumplings were perfect in their own right. I liked sipping the soup from the soup dumplings then filling with some of the chili sauce from the spicy shrimp dumplings. Finally, the hand pulled noodles were perfectly chewy and soft. Really wish this was closer to home because it was a knock out of the park!

We were not aware that a sit-down Chinese restaurant existed in Lake Highlands, so this discovery was unexpected. It was a pleasant surprise. We went for a late lunch/early dinner on a Sunday. Long story short: the food is excellent, easily 5 stars. The rest of the experience was a 1 or 2 stars. If the food was not so good, we would never return. We arrived shortly before 4pm and were surprised to see that the restaurant was completely full. We put our name on the wait list and were told about 20 minutes. In reality, 20 minutes turned into 45 minutes. One of the problems is that people linger after paying their check as if they have nothing else to do except occupy a table. Maybe they don't. That is not controllable by the restaurant. But another problem is that the restaurant appears not to have a dedicated busing staff. I observed that when a table came open, one waiter would take one thing off and walk away. Then a few minutes later another waiter would take off one more thing. A third waiter would take off the rest. A fourth waiter would eventually wipe the table and set it up. Isn't it possible to have a more efficient system? They had 3 hostesses at the front but no busing personnel. Odd. We were next in line when a table came open that seated 5. We were 3 people. I asked if we could sit there but was told that it was for 5 people, So we waited more. Eventually, we got a table that seated 4, but the table was so small that it was really difficult to fit our order onto the table. As we were eating, I noticed a party of 2 seated at a table with 5 chairs. Right next to the 5 table was a table for 2, so that was curious. Another criticism was that the bathroom was extremely dirty. They have only two but the one I used to wash my hands was really disgusting. There were lots of waiters even though the restaurant was not very big. The overall impression is chaos and disorganization. There appeared to be a lot of take out orders but the kitchen did a good job getting our food quickly. That was a plus. The food itself was outstanding. The Bao soup dumplings were excellent, easily as good as at Jeng Chi which is our favorite place for dumplings. The wife loved her Mongolian beef and the beef was very tender. My Mu Shu chicken was also excellent and I was very pleased to get enough pancakes and plum sauce. Often, a restaurant will give you a huge portion of mu shu chicken and then a couple of small pancakes and insufficient sauce. The Jasmine tea was good quality and very tasty. Absolutely no complaints about the food. When we clearly had finished eating, our waiter came by to ask if we wanted soy sauce. Odd. I don't know how long this restaurant has been open but maybe they are going through the pains of newness. Everything was disorganized and poorly run. This restaurant is a welcome addition to Lake Highlands. If they can get organized and correct some operational aspects, it will be a gem for excellent Chinese food for a very long time.

I thought this place was super cute! I was excited because I expected an authentic Chinese restaurant similar to those in Chinatown. The portions were a great size and meant for sharing. Positives--the xiaolongbao and the customer service was amazing! However, the crab rangoons were sweet with no crab meat or scallions, and everything else was just okay for me.

    MiYa Combo Hand-Pulled Noodles
    Jo W.

I cannot recommend the Jade Shrimp Dumplings enough! Would suggest getting the combo noodles with added spice, other wise it was slightly lacking in punch. The restaurant is a great mix of casual and refined, the atmosphere was welcoming. Service was quick and very well staffed.

    Amber S.

Easily a 5/5 for the food alone. I only held back one star because the ambiance could use a little refreshing. When you walk in, you're immediately in the dining area--there's no real entryway or waiting space--so the tables near the door feel a bit too close to all the in-and-out traffic. That said, everything else was fantastic. Kathy, our server, was wonderful: attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. We ordered several dishes--bao buns, sesame chicken, and lo mein--and everything was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. My family and I are already looking forward to our next visit. This place is seriously delicious.

The restaurant has vibrant decor and murals that transport you to a diverse neighborhood. Every employee who helped us was approachable and kind, checking on us after we were seated and served, going as far as taking photos for us when we asked because we were celebrating our anniversary, and bringing out things we asked for once we were seated. It seems basic to say that, but the warmth and kindness was felt from each employee we interacted with, and I don't want to gloss over their good service. Our order: - Angry Pho Birria Platter - Elote + Chips - Strawberry Lemonade - Ube Horchata The pho (a little spicy) and bao (a little sweet with super tender meat) will make you want to do a happy dance. The wings could have been a little crunchier but they were sauced so it's understandable. The Bang Bang and Spicy Chili flavors were delicious. The Birria tacos were good, but we loved everything else on the platter more. The Elote + chips starter was authentic and yummy. The chips felt like an odd pairing, but it tasted good together! The Strawberry Lemonade was sweet but refreshing. The Ube Horchata was creamy and delicious. Not too sweet, and the ice didn't ruin it. Know before you go: - Arrive early! We got there when they opened at 11 AM on a Friday. Two other parties were already there and waiting to dine, as well. By 11:30 AM, a nice-sized crowd had rolled in. They had no problem getting everyone served quickly, though. - You order and pay first, grab a seat, and then they bring your food out to you. - Yes, the platter sizes are sufficient for two hungry adults to fill up on! You might even have trouble finishing it all. - Their online menu has awesome pictures of each platter option. The platters look smaller in person than in those photos, but as I said, you will definitely get full. - My husband, who is not a pho lover, loved the Angry Pho. - They are closed on Saturdays and Mondays. - They have gluten-free and halal options.

The deviled eggs, dragon…read moreroll, and pigs in a blanket were all tasty, and that's honestly the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, everything else was a struggle from the moment we walked in. We didn't have reservations, but eventually found seats at the bar. Given how busy the place was, we figured the bar would mean faster, more attentive service. We were very wrong. We ordered two beers, a non-alcoholic drink, and three appetizers. The drinks arrived, and the appetizers followed about 10 minutes later -- fine so far. But there were no utensils. We had to ask for them, and we asked for plates as well, which never came. The empty dishes from our appetizers sat in front of us for a solid hour with no one clearing them. The bartender who took our order never once checked on us. With 3-4 people working behind the bar, only one server approached us during the entire 40-minute wait between appetizers and dinner to ask if we needed anything. The bartender told us twice that our food was "coming out shortly" -- and still, 40 minutes passed. When dinner finally arrived, my order was wrong. I ordered the Mongolian Short Rib, listed clearly under the Entree section of the menu. The bartender claimed I had ordered off a "happy hour" menu -- one I never saw or was told about -- and had swapped it for BBQ Pork Ribs without saying a word. Knowing a replacement could take another hour, my friend swapped plates with me and took the ribs. He had ordered the steak frites, which, for a rare steak, should have taken no more than 5-6 minutes to prepare. The third entree, fish and chips, was just okay -- a bit soggy and not particularly fresh. To top it all off, after everything we dealt with, the bartender never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything else. The food has potential, but the service was inattentive, disorganized, and frankly unacceptable for a busy restaurant that should know better.
