I was excited to try the Mizuki Buffet with my co-workers during lunch. Parking was easy as this place is close to the Southcenter mall. Restaurant was relatively lightly packed. As for the buffet, it is seriously endless. Lots of different food to try. From meats, veggies, sushi, hibachi, desserts, soups the selection is endless. It is expensive though. Overall, the food stations were clean, the service was prompt and the facilities were acceptable. I personally liked the sushi, sashimi, chinese delicacies and the desserts. Others on my table felt the food was more oily and salty. You can figure out which dishes are made with canned ingredients. Here is what I saw and some that I tried with the ratings: 1. Sushi - OK 2. Sashimi - Good especially tuna 3. Hot and Sour Soup - OK 4. Egg drop Soup - OK 5. Salad - Did not try 6. I came back after hearing they have improved after being under a new management but I was incredibly disappointed. I'm not usually a hater but I felt like nothing much has changed. The sushi & sashimi was still extremely underwhelming with the tuna tasting very fishy and the nigiris were simply a brick of rice with a hint of fish on top, however the rolls were alright. The pasta & mac n cheese tasted like well...carbs and dairy, it was extremely under seasoned. I also never knew different flavors of cakes could taste the same until I ate the ones here! This place has changed significantly from when they opened till now. For how much you pay, $30/per + drinks, tax & tip is really not worth the ambiance, service, food options & quality! We went here on a Sunday @3pm. It was quite upsetting that the quality of the food seemed poor, dry and bland. There were just a few favorites that I enjoyed which was a few of the sushi selections, peppered shrimp and stuffed crabs. You'd think there would be more side-salad options, and beautifully prepared desserts, but it was sloppy and disappointing overall. Mizuki is a great buffet spot. I took my son after a double header of baseball because we both were hungry hungry. Went on a Saturday at about 6:30pm, so was expectly potentially even to wait. But we were sat relatively quickly in a large dining room. You don't interact much with your server, because you're grabbing your own food, but ours was friendly and refilled our drinks and asked how we were enjoying everything. They have steaming hot food that is fresh and varies from sushi/poke, Asian soups, steamed buns, crab rangoon, eggrolls (so everyone's app favorites) and also General Tso chicken, Mongolian beef and chicken teriyaki (the staples of take out). They have seafood a variety of ways, from stuffed scallops and crab to prawns and lobster. (I will say the lobster was so steamed that I couldn't find any meat). But if you're not a seafood fan, there's also something for you. Really yummy ribs and mac and cheese. Mashed potatoes, sausage and beef. Let's just say there is something for everyone. Interesting desserts as well. This is a kids dream come true. If you have a kid that can eat, definitely worth the price too. The quality of the food is buffet. Don't expect anything fancy (although I was very impressed with their poke). You come to a place like this to try new things and fill your belly to the brim. It's a Chinese restaurant, with a Japanese name, serving in an American buffet style and low quality...for the price, I don't understand it. There are a ton of options, few of them tasty. It was enough to win my 6 year old over because they had pizza and fries, but the variety doesn't matter when so little of it tastes good. It's Saturday, they charged us $32.99 per person. We saw some positive reviews and thought maybe it would surprise us. Not sure what we were expecting, but at that price I expect a lot more even from a buffet. I think people come here for the cheap shellfish. Most people seemed to be doing that in bulk, maybe that's the secret...it certainly wasn't virtually everything else. The food is okay, the Chinese section tastes like Panda Express, the seafood is not fresh to be honest. The mussels and scallops are yummy and I love my dessert. However, the cashing out part is so awkward because the lady was staring at my husband if he wanted to tip and how much. They don't give you option to customize the tip, she brought the machine to our table, charge his card right away, and looked at him when it popped up the tip option. I always feel bad leaving a review like this as I am sure this place is struggling after pandemic shut down especially for buffets. I travel a good bit so see a lot of food and am always surprised how poor Seattle area food is in general with being so close to cities like Portland with such a wonderful food scene in every neighborhood. I went for the lunch buffet and all of the foods were stocked up well. The food quality is buffet quality but that's why you go to a buffet it's about all the options and flavors you can enjoy. They had your standard Chinese buffet foods but they shined with the sushi selections. Dude, eff this place so hard. Our group simultaneously had stomache aches or symptoms of food poisoning. It was NOT worth $27 per person. Our group went on a Wednesday at 8PM. Several years ago, Mizuki Buffet was the shizznizz. But now? Definitely not, I do not recommend going here at all. When you walk in, they give you gloves to wear when you go get food. Our waitress had seated us at a table, and asked us what drinks we wanted. Keep in mind, that there were only 3-4 other groups in the restaurants, and 3-4 waitresses roaming around. After our group had grabbed food, we sat down and there were still no drinks. We only noticed after another waitress had came up to us after we had started eating, and asked what drinks we would like. The food here is not worth it. Chicken anything was terrible - it either had an off taste or was really dry. The crawfish tasted off as well. Do not get the baked crab salad, that tasted off and so did their hot and sour soup. I was so turned off by the food here that I only got two plates worth of food (their prime rib, Mongolian beef, seared salmon, Chinese donut, and vegetables were pretty decent), that I did not even go for dessert. There were a lot of things that were empty, I guess they stop cooking 2 hours early? $27 and no honey walnut shrimp/coconut shrimp and only several pieces of snow crab legs with barely any food left? You crazy. The same waitress that sat us down and took our order for drinks did it again - She asked if we needed refills in which we said yes, and 30 mins go by - nothing! She was preoccupied by setting up tables with cutlery. We just decided to pay and leave after that. My wife warned me, but I still drove us from downtown Seattle to Tukwila, passing Famous Dave's wonderful BBQ restaurant. I do give them a positive note on the presentation and cleanliness. But, it ends there. I knew we were in trouble when I couldn't peel the heads on shrimp. The meat dissentigrated. The tempura consisted of sweet potato ONLY. Heavily battered and cold. Although from a distance, steam was visible. But, it had no effect on heating the food. Dim sum consists of only two offerings, and I feel for the pork hash which came across gamey. Sushi was just okay. I wouldn't taste any of the rolls as they just didn't look fresh. The scallops at the end of the Sushi section - well, I just took one for the team and regretted it. Deserts became comical. All the pudding tasted the same, and the texture of the jello was like rubber. The highlight was the almond cookie, obviously backed somewhere else. We ordered hot tea, and it was served in a plastic beer mug. I scratched the inside of the mug to see if the cloudy stuff would rub off. One of apparently several places where one can completely destroy oneself in the Seattle area. As I haven't been to Feast or Haiku (as of the time of writing), the only equivalent I can compare this place to is the Bacchanal in Vegas (Caesar's), which sets the gold standard in my books. As for how it actually compares, read on. Parking is plentiful in the lot surrounding the building. There are 2 waiting areas for this restaurant. Looks like they added the 2nd area as an extension. Good thing, because both rooms were packed with eager patrons. The dining area is basically surrounded on 3 sides by food, food, and more food. And some more food. Staff were friendly. One guy brought us our drinks (which aren't self serve for some reason), and the dishes were cleared regularly by another guy. The food (as one can guess by the name) is mostly Japanese style, though many items are more Chinese style. Special mention goes to their poke and sushi section. One of the longest sushi sections I have seen in any restaurant. Just when one thinks one is done, there are 2 more sections. This alone would've probably made many people happy, but then there's also the cooked stuff. Clams, ribs, pork, chicken, frog, prawns, beef, lobster, salmon, tilapia, and more. If the animals were all still alive, this place would be a freaking zoo. The trick to survival here is to resist gorging on one item, and at least walk the entire length of the food sections first. Overall the food is fairly decent quality. However, the lobster was definitely not fresh. It was actually soggy (ie not firm) on the inside. Not sure if it was because we arrived around 2000 to eat, but that put a damper on the experience. Would the food be all "fine dining grade" like the Bacchanal? Also no. The food would be a solid 4 stars (3.5 to 4.5 depending on the items), but none of the items would be what I call life-changing. With that said, the dinner here is $38 USD (all in), while the Bacchanal I hear is now closer to $60. My friends and I all left clutching our stomachs. Money well spent. I'd imagine in the floor tiles, the tables, the wall, the counters, the bathroom partitions... dang! The bathroom section is no different. I've not been to Vegas, yet, but I thought of Vegas. My son caught hives all over his body from eating the food here. They don't tell you the price of the buffet until you are done and you are about to pay. They don't have signs also indicating how much it is. The setup made the food look disgusting and the little food I did eat had a weird taste. Mizuki's is officially my favorite buffet here in the Seattle area. Not gonna lie, I get around (buffets, that is). Firstly, the selection at Mizukis is very impressive. Sushi: lots of sashimi, some of the best quality rolls found at a buffet, 'fusion' rolls aren't too bad either. Meats: sausage, ribs, prime rib = yumm. Chinese: your typical fare that's found in every buffet, nothing special here. Fried rice, yakisoba, etc. Seafood: not my favorite sections. Clams, oysters, lobster, fish? I liked this place back years ago (before covid) when this place still served high quality sushi and sashimi, and all good quality of hot food: prime ribs, lobster tails and crab legs etc. However all these good memories are gone after my visit today. Nothing was fresh on this Sunday night. My favorite sushi were all with cold, dry and hard rice, like they have been on the display for days!!! The prime ribs chewed like dried paper with fishy bloody smell. None of the deserts has any taste, I mean the taste is so plain that I am afraid there is no sugar in them at all. My friends have ranted for a year about how this place has great food and SUSHI and I have wanted to come for over a year now after hearing about it but never really had the chance to just GO. I rarely give 1-star review but Mizuki buffet is one big appalling mess. Based on my dining experience (4/7), I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Let me explicate why. As you come in, there are six different buffet stations dispersed throughout the room (sushi+sashimi, dessert, salad/cold food, chinese food, seafood, and western food). I started with sushi rolls and sashimi because how bad can you be to mess up sushi rolls? Well damn, they were a complete let down. They were mostly bland and the fish slices weren't the freshest. I've had better tasting rolls from a grocery store. Moving on, I think we all can agree that people go to a buffet for the seafood. Well bad news, every single seafood dishes I had (oysters, mussels, shrimps, and scallop) with the exception of crab were clearly not fresh and reeked vile odor. What about the non-seafood dishes then? I tried crispy pork belly, shumai, cold noodle, vegetables, custard bun, and fettuccine. Unsurprisingly, they were extremely underseasoned. Fortunately, there are salt and pepper on the table to slightly salvage the blandness. In the end, just when I hope the desserts could at least mend my vexation, they rubbed salt to the wound. Three mini cheesecakes tasted way off and the crust was salty and bitter, as if they were about to go rancid. The green tea ice cream didn't taste like green tea at all. The only dessert I found decent was the custard. Everyone in my party shares the same opinion of the atrocious food. The quality here on the weekday is bad. Also they got rid of some of the hot dish area to make it a "stir fry" station- which looks quite unappetizing. The crabs here are old, mushy, bad texture, skinny and has no meat, but I did see a cook have a whole pan/tray of fresh dungenous crabs served for a private party in the room. All you can stand almost food. 10 kinds of chicken fried unidentified. Teriyaki/sort of maybe Barbecued Chicken. Mongolian shoe leather. Something that used to be Multi colors of sawdust cake-- all the same flavor. Crème almost Brûléed. Jello so hard it could double as a yoga mat. You know the drill. For close to 40 bucks you can stuff your gullet into a food coma. The only thing missing is a bowl of antacids on the way out. I wish the food was better, it simply lacks flavor--for lots of reasons. The biggest is likely the 4pm time we arrived. Pastries were stale. "Prime Rib" was past it. It was dry and bland. The sashimi was a combo of either too frozen or not fresh. The sushi rice overly salted. Escolar (white tuna) on a buffet is brings to mind much of what I was thinking. The desserts, even the custards lacked salt or any kind of balance. The cakes were tasteless. The servers were very attentive. The establishment itself was clean and there is an attention to food safety. Overall it's not a place I'll revisit. I barely like the buffet at Wynn in Vegas-- it's just not my thing. Mizuki unfortunately is unremarkable. YMMV read more

So so buffet with Las Vegas prices. I go here often because my mom loves the crab and my brother doesn't care about quantity as much as quality. I do like the fried stuff like the gyoza, fried shrimp, chicken wings and egg rolls and the there are a lot of seafood items, but never have I ever seen the mongolian grill ever fired up, and I only go there on weekends when you'd think they have enough guests to justify having someone man the station. they have a big sushi bar but the sushi is nothing special. My parents also like the dim sum/hot soup station but nothing is memorable. I like how the ice cream station is self-serve (they're the ice cream cups with the paper lids that you get at the school the rare times they give you ice cream) so it's sterile. I'm not really impressed with the buffets up here in Washington, but I still have hope that I'll eventually find one. For now, you'd honestly be better off paying less for Golden Corral because at least their rolls are bomb. read more

This was way better than I thought it would be since it's a buffet, as I tend to not like buffet food. But it's actually worth a visit. We came here for a late dinner on a Monday night and the place was packed even then. It was about 23 bucks for dinner on a weekday. The place is huge and there are a lot of food options, including sushi, seafood, and a dessert area with a chocolate fountain! I liked their sashimi, especially the tuna and the baked salmon. They also have crab legs that everyone was grabbing, but it seemed to always be refilled. Our server was really busy with a bunch of other tables he was waiting on, but he was really efficient. We never had to ask him to refill our waters or take our plates - he was on top of it. The only negative is that there weren't very many veggie options. I liked that they had bok choy, but wish they had more steamed veggies, to go with all the great protein they have. Also, there's a sign on the front door that says the area is a heavily car-theft spot. So, that was a little scary, but just be mindful of your surroundings. read more
