A solid 3 star buffet. I have not been to this buffet in more than a year and decided to try this again with my boyfriend because of the recent 4-5 star reviews. My boyfriend has been to many Vegas buffets and he says that this is by far much below the standard of Vegas buffets so DO NOT go to this buffet thinking it is Vegas quality. The sushi and sashimi selection seemed fresh and abundant. My boyfriend liked the hand rolls in particular and I liked the salmon sashimi a lot. The oysters seemed fresh but I would have liked to see slices of lemon or cocktail sauce to put over them. The hot items left much to be desired. Here's how I would describe it. The items APPEAR to be what the names suggest but when you try it, if you've had the real thing, it is not nearly as good. Basically, things look better than they taste. For example, the crab legs look good but when we tried eating them, we noticed that they were cooked for way too long and that the meat was no longer sweet. Buffets at casinos are much better. It's a very solid 2-3 star Asian type buffet. Not the cleanest place but I actually wasn't too worried about eating there. I did steer hubby away from raw sushi. Service was good and they did include gratuity on our group of 6 adults and 2 kids. Nothing food wise stands out as remarkable but the shrimp and crab were okay. Not as big or busy as feast buffet in Renton. Soda costs extra. We only went because an out of country family member wanted to go- we likely won't be back anytime soon. read more

Food is simply bland and terrible. They hired the cheapest and overworked Mexican labor available that do not know how to properly cook the Chinese food. Their crab and lobster are NOT fresh and crab meat turns to powder in your mouth. Service is decent. Ambiance is dark and dingy, with very old and overused silverware and cups. This place is a shadow of its former self. The management seems only interested in extracting the maximum amount of money with the lowest effort. It shows in the quality of food presented. An alright buffet. I like that they're open a little later than your average dinner spot because it came in handy when we had a mishap at another restaurant we were supposed to eat at. It's a decent size and covers your seafood, asian and american spread. Staff is friendly and helpful and I enjoy that all desert options are help yourself. Most times ice cream needs to be tended to because it needs to be scooped but they have the individually packaged soft serves for you to grab. The only thing that was a bit of a let down was that some of the seafood (mainly the sashimi) were frozen. I guess they don't take it out early enough to thaw out and they placed it on the spread where the pieces were frozen together. My wife told me Mizukis was a really good buffet so we decided to try it. We barely got any food because everything looked as though it had been sitting out for hours. The food we did get was very underwhelming and wasn't good at all. The sushi didn't look fresh. The dessert bar was alright, but still nothing tasted even remotely fresh. I understand you pay for a set price, but leaving without really eating anything but still paying 60 some dollars was extremely disappointing. I guess this place really went downhill because a lot of people say it used to be good years ago and isn't anymore. On another note, the service wasn't horrible. Server was quick with drinks, but when I went to pay, there was no one there and we waited for a while. And the atmosphere just felt extremely moist. It was not a lot but the ones that were there were good quality. The sashimi quality is just as good if not better than the more expensive AYCE buffets I have been to in Washington. First of all; I have no idea how people give this a 1-3 star rating. How could you expect to pay less for the quality of the seafood here? I only had one thing i didn't like (a "lobster" dish) out of the 5 plates I had. My friend with me had 6-7 plates and SHE (yes she ate more lol) liked everything. I'm going to rate my last visit just because my visit prior was probably way before pre-COVID, which was 2+ years ago. I went here on a weekday night last week & was disappointed by the food choice. Their nigiris looked dry & the sushi rolls tasted decent at best. You can tell that they have been sitting there for a while. The meat on the Mongolian Beef was chewy, like it's been cooked a second time around. My family and I go to buffets often and used to love going to Mizuki. The dumplings were dry and rubbery. The beef was jerky-chewy. The fish tasted old. Their desserts were all lukewarm. If the cooked items were bad, would you trust the raw items like sushi? The final check came out to approximately $90 and I would NEVER go back again. Honestly, just pay the extra dollars and drive the extra miles to go to Feast Buffet. Came here last weekend and it was really disappointing... At $37 a person, this is considered very steep for lunch, and serving you really bad food is just kinda of sad. It makes sense why it was cold and empty because no one comes to clear out the food because lunch on weekday is 22$ while weekend lunch is $37... No one would come... People on tight pocket wouldn't come. Recession means tech workers wouldn't come if they were laid off... $37 is just insane! Drinks were not even included... If you're visiting Seattle then this is one spot that you must visit if you're looking for unlimited snow crabs, dungeons crabs, lobsters and plenty more.... Unfortunately, their lobsters are only served during dinner time (Fri-Sun) but regardless, going any other day would still work with all the other yummy foods that they carry. The snow crabs were meaty and warm when served and they were huge and fresh. I also loved their dungeons crabs, esp when it's salt baked and was encrusted with all the flavor and fat that I love. Overall, I was very satisfied with my meal and love their location. There were plenty of parking space and not hard to get to by car. The decor and service was excellent and if I was visiting Seattle again, I would definitely hit this spot again and again. read more

Been to this place several times for lunch and dinner. Large selection and I love weekend buffet. It is a bit pricey on the weekend, 30$ per person. But on a weekday it's $16 for lunch and I believe $23 for dinner. Good sashimi selection and rolls are delicious. I go here mainly for sushi, every so often I go to the stir fry and other section. I've heard so many good things about this place, and I was totally disappointed. The sushi bar was decent, some of the rolls had been out for a while, you could tell by the rice. The "steamed vegetables", which was only broccoli, was cold. The green beans, were also cold. The entrees were okay, but you'd think there would be more options for $30 a person. The desserts were so so. A lot of options, but there was a chocolate fountain, but nothing to dip in it? Except marshmallows? Pointless. I went here with some of my neighbors and unfortunately, was left with a pretty lackluster experience. While the customer service was above average and the restaurant was clean, the food was very mediocre overall with what was provided. Trying out the sushi, ingredients were pretty much imitation quality bundled with cheap rice to make you more full. Some rolls were somewhat flavorful from the amount of cream cheese or whatever they inject, but I feel like I've had better sushi prepackaged at the local Fred Meyers/QFC. I then went on and tried some of their teriyaki chicken with rice and found that the rice wasn't fully cooked due to not having as much water. The meat was also bland being rough and somewhat tasteless. On my 3rd run, I tried the egg flower soup and can describe it as watered down and lukewarm making me think it was sitting out under the irradiated heat for quite some time. While I did have some fun connecting with my neighbors with the awesome customer service, I hate to give this place a 2 star rating due to the disappointing food they serve. While Mizuki does showcase good customer service, food variety and quantity, quality on the other hand is pretty much lacking. read more

Pretty disappointed really. :( The food looks quite good at face value, but the taste is very bad except for a few items. Many dishes tasted like they substituted cheap ingredients that don't match the intended dish. For example the hot and sour soup literally taste like campbells minestrone soup with egg mixed in, and their siu mai has spam instead of ground pork, the cream puffs had no cream inside, etc. Considering the cost this was not worth it, especially compared to other similar buffets at similar or cheaper price points. The 1 star is honestly only for the staff which were great at their jobs. Anyways, not gonna be coming back unfortunately. :( read more

3.5 stars Why do Asian parents love Asian buffet so much?? I have low expectations of Asian buffets - the quality tends to not be there. So I was actually surprised that the food at Mizuki was not that bad. They had tons of options: sushi, sashimi, crab legs, oysters, fried rice, chow mein, teriyaki chicken, gyoza, tempura veggies and shrimp, and all the other usual Asian buffet offerings, plus a meat carving station with sausage and steak and things like Mac and cheese and shrimp fettuccine Alfredo. They also had a made to order noodle station where you could get pho or beef noodle soup. I liked the various sushi roll stuff and the some of the Asian food. I didn't get any of the meats from the carvery, but I did try the pasta which was not bad. The beef noodle soup from the noodle station was gross and I regret getting that. This place is huge with tons of tables. When we went to eat there on a Sunday evening, we didn't have to wait at all. We were seated right away and went to get food immediately. They have a waiting area with a TV so I guess it could get packed sometimes? Staff were quick to clear away our empty plates and bowls. Overall the food was good enough (although some of the dishes were skippable) that if my mom or dad wanted Asian buffet again, I would come back. They do have signs warning people to not leave stuff in their cars though, so I guess they have problems with theft, so be aware of that! We come here at least once every two months for either lunch or dinner. It is kinda costly on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It's always the exact same food, I truly wished they would add something new to the food line. It's pretty good food depending on what you choose. They get extremely packed on the weekends and you can wait up to an hour. The place gets pretty dirty and they need to do a better job of keeping this place clean! Mizuki is a solid choice for lunch. For $17.99 you get a great selection of sushi and hot foods to choose from. I like to come here especially when I can't decide where to eat or when I want AYCE sushi. For a buffet they have decent tasting sushi!
