Mizuki is a spot that has not aged well. This used to be my family's go-to asian buffet, but after our recent trip back, I'm sad to say that we will not be eating here again....it's expensive, low quality, and 100% disappointing. I should have known when we walked in and saw that there were barely any customers for a Saturday night and the food didn't looked like it was touched for a few hours. I can't believe I spent $200 for 4 people and you definitely should spend your money elsewhere. Mizuki has the same selection as before (hot food, sushi bar, desserts) and I swear to god everything was either not fresh, frozen or otherwise unappetizing. The sashimi was literally a block of ice and then the crab was mushy and bitter. The desserts were stale and the only thing I could stomach was the watermelon slices. I left feeling so gross and I'm glad I only took a small bite out of everything because if I ate more I would be sick. Please do not go here T_T trust me read more

Food was not fresh. Prime rib and ribs were tasteless. It was either too much salt or no salt at all. Service was mediocre at best. You didn't see the waiter/waitress until they gave you the check. Music too loud can't really talk to my wife without saying "WHAT?" Every time. Not a recommendation for fresh Chinese food. read more

Used to really love going here but after the last time I went I probably wont return. It was my husband and I my mother and her friend as well as another family friend my son and daughter. My son was a little over a year old and had napped most of the meal. Once he woke up I got him a plate of fruit and some meat to eat. The buffet didn't close for another hour and I had a women staff member hovering and staring at my ONE YEAR OLD SON who was eating his dinner that I paid for. I looked at her and asked what was wrong and she proceeded to pop her hip and fold her arms annoyed. I said "my son is eating his dinner as he should be able to since Ive paid for it and proceeded to pop my hip in response as well as folding my arms." She left us alone afterward but still continued to go to other employees and point at us. I could understand if they were about to close but there was an hour left and it wasn't like we didn't pay for our food. Would give this place negative stars if I could. The sushi was horrible and hard to eat idk where it's ok to have dry rice with sushi, it is here I guess. The crab was no good and tasted like it was sitting out for hours. The only good part of dinner was the fried rice. The desserts were super dry and unappetizing. This buffet is one of the first in the area. I was invited to this buffet for lunch the day after I ate at the Feast Buffet near by. Staff was friendly but can't say much for the food. The restaurant served the very basic dishes that you would find in a Chinese buffet; nothing flavorful to boast about. Items tasted were bland. The baby back ribs were nicely barbecued in smoky bbq sauce, not the Chinese type... can't see why not since this is a Chinese buffet. Sushi bar were limited in the display; a few pieces at a time. Desserts were also limited in variety; Fruit/melons were not fresh... dried out. Ice cream served in pre-packaged individual cup was tasteless and artificial. I've been to Mizuki twice. On both occasions I left thinking the sushi was great for a buffet and that everything cooked was bad. Everything I tried was over cooked and items like crab and lobster were ruined by boiling or deep fat frying. I don't know what training the cooks have, but it's not much. My ENORMOUS herd, ...er, family, went to this buffet, at the behest of our, now, 14 year old eating machine. The food was of decent quality, and the service was great, even though, you could tell they were short staffed. I haven't made a review this low ever, but this was really not a good experience. We got shown to our table, they took our drink order, but they didn't say we could start on the buffet. Of everything I tried, I would eat the nigiri and sashimi. Those were decent. I liked that there were a variety of rolls, but they just weren't good, like slightly better than the supermarket ones. I was excited they had seafood, but that was really disappointing. I tried some of the Chinese dishes and honestly all the entrees were very bland. Sadly the cucumber side dishes was also bland, the kimchi didn't have flavor, just spiciness. The jello was pretty hard, but I did think the fruit cheesecake was ok. Overall, I'm not coming back, but I still say staff seemed nice, they checked on our drinks several times and cleared our plates fast. read more

I decided to stop at this sushi buffet in the Seattle metro area for a weeknight dinner on June 7th, 2023. The place had a large variety of sushi and sashimi. I got tuna, salmon, yellowtail snapper, mackerel, freshwater eel, shrimp, escolar, octopus, squid, and many more. Also, the place served local seafood from the area, including locally caught oysters uncooked and Dungeness crab. My dinner was excellent, and it cost $33 per person. It was a bit on the expensive. Food was horrible. Went on a Sunday at 1pm. Flavor was not good and the food was old. I was hoping to give it the benefit of the doubt and try everything, hoping to get something good. The fruit was the best thing they had. The crab were stringy and overdone. The shrimp was chewy. The clams tasted off and were overdone. The prime rib was so tough you almost needed a chainsaw. I never rate food bad unless it's really bad. This unfortunately meets that. Please work on food quality. I won't be back until I see your ratings with fellow eaters go up. read more

For what you get here, which consists of raw nigiri, assorted sushi rolls, and wide variety of fried/steamed seafood. I had an entire plate of crawfish, which honestly wasn't too bad for northwest standards. Short ribs (Kalbi) wasn't too salty compared to Feast Buffet. Went on a Saturday afternoon and there weren't any lines for the seafood section, which was a plus compared to Feast buffet's ridiculous lines for their crab legs or lobster tails. I was quite disappointed with this buffet. The last time I was here was when it was two or three years old and it was fairly good. This time, it was dark inside, a part of the serving line was closed and the carving station was non-existent. There were precut pieces of meet that were tough, the crab which was I wanted so paid the dinner price for, was soft shell so hard to crack and eat and everything else was the same. The service was good and the servers were attentive but even good service can't make up for mediocre food. I came here 1-2 years ago and the experience we had was subpar. But recently I saw there was a new management sign outside the buffet and decided to give it a try again with our family since we were near the area. And it's safe to say the experience was amazing! The sushi tastes more fresh, the foods are more favorable and the service was way better than the last time I visited. They also now have a habachi grill, 6 unique Icecream flavors (they have choco mint which is my fav!), and also a cotton candy machine which was really cool. This place is AMAZING but $$$$ (worth it)! It's a mix between a sports bar (large big screens with sports playing), Chinese buffet, sushi bar and Golden Corral. They even have a chocolate fountain Walking in there's a very open seating area with buffet tables all around. It's extremely clean, family atmosphere, American pop music, extremely friendly staff and way too much good food to mention here. But I will try: baked fish, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, bbq ribs, grilled sausage, lobster, many shrimp dishes, dim sum, generals tso chicken, fruit bar, salad bar, dessert bar, sushi bar and more. The food was clearly left out for a long time, stale food everywhere. Lots of bland, processed, and over or under cooked food. We payed over $100 for 2, very overpriced. With all things said about the food, some of the staff were nice. My only complaint with staffing would be for the host. We dined around 3pm so it was slow. A-MA-ZING buffet!!! I only wish we had a Mizuki in Austin, Texas. Unfortunately for us Austinites, our city doesn't sit off the coast of the Pacific Northwest like Seattle. Otherwise we'd have fresh ass seafood buffets like this place! They have everything from sushi and sashimi, to oysters and clams, to Dungeness crabs and Alaskan King crabs, lobsters, and even prime rib! What more could you want? They even have a chocolate fountain at the dessert station with real, "scooped" ice cream to boot! Service was polite and timely. We did not need to flag anyone down to refill our glasses. I'm big on that because it usually indicates bad service. Try to at least fool me by always topping off our glasses with water. Haha! Anyway, the lady who took care of us was prompt and courteous. So no complaints. But that food! Every time I went up to the self-serve stations I saw something else I wanted to inhale. I'd need a few more visits to this place to be satisfied with trying all they have to offer. We dined on 4/24/2024, at 530pm. The food was cold, all of it. We tried the coconut shrimp, it tasted like it had gone bad. The crab leg shells were soft instead of hard and held little meat. The chicken and all the desserts (except the ice cream) were so rubber-like, you could not even put a spoon it. The custard was frozen hard, unable to eat it. The sushi bar was horrible as well. Their warm items were ice cold and the cold items were luke warm. ALL the food tasted as if it had been sitting out all day. We did mention it to our waiter and the front desk, "We are so sorry! Had family from out of town visiting and told them how great of a place it is. When everyone drifted to get their items, one member saw something crawling. I went over by the crab legs and it was a roach. There was a napkin by the crab legs. I lifted the napkin and another roach. They seemed to be fully grown, so definitely has to be an infestation at the rate they reproduce. We left all plates served and walked out. My sister found this buffet on a whim because we were all hungry & wanted to grab a bite before we called it a day. Wasn't too far from our hotel so we decided to give it a try. The buffet was huge, loved the layout. Plenty of parking since it shares parking lots w/ an AMC/mall. Ceilings inside were tall. Everyone is seated in the middle & the buffet was all around the edges. They had typical buffet options, seafood, sushi, desserts. Huge variety of things to eat. Buffet food is buffet food. Took my grandma here for her birthday lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. She's a lil ol Filipino lady, so it's perfect that Mizuki is located right next to Seafood City (we went shopping after). The lunch buffet is super worth. You fill up on sushi, ribs, Chinese food, dim sum, and like 10 different little desserts. Bonus points for having a chocolate fountain. One thing I would note is that the COVID precautions were meh. We were indoor dining plus self serving throughout the buffet and they didn't ask us for vaccination cards. Overall the place seemed clean and they weren't crazy busy, which was a good thing. For 2 seniors and 2 adults it came out to like 48 bucks. Worth it! Private parking lot. Food is okay...wouldn't say there are as many options as Feast but still a solid offering. I gave two stars because it felt like we were being rushed by the servers, they asked us if we were done at least two times (we were there around 45mins) and it took awhile for our waters to be refilled despite the restaurant being anywhere between 25-50% full. Food is just okay, some (1-2 dishes) were better than others but nothing had me going back to it for seconds. Fun to try but don't think I'll be coming back. read more
