    Baked Blue Cheese Stuffed Dates

I would love to come back and try everything on this menu! It was so hard to decide which apps and what entree to get. The dates had the right amount of blue cheese on them so that it wasn't overwhelmed in that funk flavor. And all I have to say is lobster cones are AMAZING. Buttery, lobster in one perfect bite. I could eat these all day. The duck was cooked perfectly. The Brussels were fried an delicious. They weren't oily at all and had a crisp with each bite. Z I couldn't be happier my maid of honor picked this as a dinner spot for my bachelorette!

I rarely give out a five star review, I save those for the places I will keep coming back to over and over and have an absolute amazing meal, service and space. MK Kitchen does this every time I go. The most recent time we went, we sat at the bar and our favorite bar tender was working. She is great, quick and makes the best drinks. MK kitchen has the best dirty martini I have ever had, and I have had ALOT of dirty martinis, I am not sure what they do but they are the best. All their drinks are amazing. I have never had a bad meal. Some dishes are a little pricey but totally worth it. I think I have tried everything on their menu, even the burger is great! I can't say enough good things about this place and will keep coming back!

A snowy, crappy evening and a chance to try a new spot with dear friends led us to MK Kitchen. We started with cocktails to pair with butternut squash soup, a wedge salad and a grilled caesar - yum! For entrees duck served on lentils (duck was great, lentils not so much). a burger that was very good - just the bottom bun was a bit overdone and bolognese over rigatoni that was the star. All great food paired with a lovely pinot noir. And then - desert! Perfectly done creme brûlée and a chocolate martini. The atmosphere is great and the service second to none!

Outstanding service and amazing bolognese. Good beer selection and not overly pricey. Gorham is so lucky to have this place.

Came here for dinner the other night. Had a pizza and potato skins. The food was good but the…read moreservice was subpar at best. Despite not being overly busy it took the waitress forever to greet us. After she took our order she said she would get us plates but never did. The wait was ridiculously long and some other woman threw a plate of skins on the table and immediately walked away. No plates. One tiny sour cream for two people. We tried to wave our waitress and this other woman down but they were too involved in personal conversation and going back into the kitchen. I had to go to the host and ask her if she could bring us plates and get our waitress, but then I noticed the plates on the shelf and was able to self serve. The hostess was able to get us the sour cream. I'm not a monster so I still tipped 20% but I low key wish the tip went to the hostess instead.

She didn't seem thrilled to be there and every other worker we interacted with sucked too. Everyone seemed snobby which is the opposite of what I want to experience on a first visit somewhere. We were told which late to go to the booth and table was dirty. We looked around to make sure we went to the right lane, almost all of the tables were dirty. We were at the right lane. An hour ish in, we finally got waited on and we finally got our food which was just a buffalo tender basket for us to share and we planned on getting more food. The tenders were good! We waited around for someone to come over so we could order more and it took so long we ended up just leaving and going somewhere else. But the tenders were good. Whole place extremely pricey though. Wouldn't recommend. I feel like my 2 star rating is pretty generous lol.

A friend and I met here for breakfast on a Sunday at 9am. It wasn't busy at all, which was…read moresurprising for any breakfast place in Maine. There was plenty of parking for us in the private lot to the right of the building. We were greeted and seated within seconds of walking through the door. There's a lot of sun exposure, for the window seats, choose wisely. LOL Our server Logan was great. He was friendly and personable. We asked him about the "weird" item on the menu and he agreed, he didn't understand it and has only seen one person order it. If you are curious about what I'm referring to, you will have to see for yourself. Unfortunately, no one in the restaurant had it, as I was curious to see what it looked like and why they ordered it. My friend ordered the classic eggs benedict that comes with homefries. I order THE Pancake with blueberries and a side of DELICIOUS bacon. Everything looked great and was presented nicely. My friend said her dish lacked some flavor, however, it was helped by the salt and pepper on the table. My pancake was gigantic - literally bigger than the plate it was served on. It was a heavy pancake - and it was thick. It was ok - definitely recommend the real maple syrup, even though it's an extra cost. I ate half of the pancake. I prefer fluffy buttermilk pancakes, this was more "bready". It was ok enough, where I wanted to bring the leftovers home. It's convenient, it's local, service is excellent! I would certainly return if I have time and am in the area in the future.

So this is a long standing establishment in the Portland area that is on its third building. And…read moreit's just... Not good enough for what it charges. The service is fine. Nothing bad about it. The food is fine. It is standard diner fare. But my meat breakfast burrito itself was roughly $21. They charge $2 to put the scramble in a flour tortilla. The mimosa I had was of poor quality and was $11. My husband just did the breakfast tacos and a coffee. Our bill was over $60. Nothing was bad, but it's just far too expensive for the quality of the food. We can and have had the same meal of the same quality for $40 down the road at Stacks. It's a shame that some of the long term staples of the Portland area are pricing out the locals but until prices come down, can't really recommend it here
