First night in Dodgertown and needed to eat something delicious ended up here! We were initially told that our party of seven could not be invested. As that was happening the owner was approaching us. We informed him of what was recounted to us he then said to wait and he will provide seating for us. Once we were seated we were told that a couple of staff had walked out during the hour and they were short staff! That was not a problem because the young man who waited on our table did an awesome job serving both of our tables. We ordered Red Snapper, Curry Chicken, Stew Beef, Chicken Wings and Curry Shrimp. Wow! Just wow! My husband ordered the grouper sandwich and I ordered the grouper dinner. Incredible doesn't even begin to describe the dinners! I'm not a huge seafood fan but the grouper was so fresh and delicious that I loved it!! I wasn't sure how it was going to be served with pecans, I was blown out of the water it was that good! The mashed potatoes with spinach were delicious too. Our plan was to eat half of our meals and switch... mine was so good that I didn't want to switch and be disappointed... but my husbands grouper sandwich was just as good as mine. Both meals were insanely good! To finish off we had the banana rum cheese cake! Oh my god! AMAZING! My wife and I both work at the local hospital. We went to this restaurant to have lunch last week. Now we have lunch At this particular restaurant twice in the past. Normally their lunch specials range from $9 to $18 per person. On this particular day the server recommended the two daily specials. Halabit with veggies and the scallops over mashed potatoes. We had ice tea and water and when our bill came for lunch size portions of fish and scallops it was $73. Yes $73 without the tip. I was appalled. I felt duped. I tried to talk to the manager or owner and he was busy. I have since emailed the manager with no response. I did however take a photograph of the bill again without the tip for 2 lunch specials no cocktails no drinks water and iced tea the bill was $73 at the end of the day it cost us $85 for lunch. I love jerked chicken and there's was just a big ole mess of overcooked white meat chicken with a ton of goopy sticky sauce that barely had any flavor on it. Just plain as you please; Did not enjoy at all. Dad had shrimp scampi and enjoyed it too their credit. There were Four of us and it was pleasant atmosphere. Food is awesome every time. Never a disappointment. Go today everyone . I got the quesadillas and my husband got the swordfish. The only complaint was he should have ordered a rice. It came with some fried corn things which were just ok. We also had chicken wings and conch fritters- very good. Service was great. My daughter spilled some of the chicken wing sauce on her shirt and the waitress came right over with soda water. The take out guy is also so so sweet . Great place. I love that the owner walks around the restaurant greeting guests. He wasn't there yesterday though. read more

We went to MoBay expecting a pleasant lunch, and got insulted instead. On arriving I informed one of the frontline staff that we would be sitting on the patio, and was told someone would come out to take our order. After an extended wait, a server came out and gave us a sharp reprimand that "You should have told me you were out here!" On informing him that I had done just that, he responded that "You told someone else, but you didn't tell me!" I suppose I should have asked to review the Mo Bay organization chart to identify who thinks they are the Big Boss instead of assuming the employees actually communicate with each other, but since rudeness and insult weren't advertised expectations for the place, we left. Take your patronage to businesses that appreciate their customers. MoBay doesn't. read more

My 86 year old father was apprehensive about our restaurant choice, he kept saying " I'm just not very hungry." Father choose Sweet Potato Encrusted Haddock over a bed of veggies (cabbage & carrots). At first bite he said "mmmm this is very good" Needless to say, he all but licked his plate clean. He also had unsweetened ice tea, which was passion fruit, he was not a fan. Plain ole tea for him. Hubster, who choose Mo Bay, had Parmesan Encrusted Haddock over a bed of veggies. Now the man doesn't like Parmesan, yet we know what he ordered, he stated "Wow, this is good, you have to try a bite. " he was correct, the cabbage was tender yet crisp & very flavorful. The Haddock was tender flakey with crispy Parmesan crust. I choose the jerk seasoned salmon with veggies, red beans and rice. Salmon was cooked to perfection, flaky, tender, loaded with flavor. Red beans and rice was red beans and rice, ha ha. I was slightly disappointed my cabbage and carrots weren't prepared the same as father's & hubster's, just plain steamed. I enjoyed the passion fruit ice tea. All three of us enjoyed our meal and will return, hoping for the same waiter, a young man who was very professional, friendly, and knew his menu! read more

We were staying in the area and chose to eat here because of the high Yelp rating. We stopped and ordered food to go, for a special occasion. Got to our destination and the order was missing an important item. Yes we should have checked the order before leaving the restaurant, and so we take some of the blame. We then called to find a solution and they said they could do nothing. Because of the big expense we ate what we had and the potatoes were terrible and the hogfish (normally my favorite) was very fishy smelling and tasting. So bad I couldn't finish it. The birthday celebration desert was paid for but didn't make it in the to go order. Thus the one star. read more

Stopped in for dinner after reading yelp reviews. Was seated almost immediately and service was spectacular. Started off with Fried Plantains. I ordered Parmesan Crusted Haddock with lemon butter angel hair pasta, my significant other ordered "I"Tal Vegetable Stew and son ordered Stuffed Flounder with Crab Cakes. Presentation was great, the portions were generous and the food was fabulous. Was thoroughly satisfied with food, service and atmosphere. Price of admission was well worth it in my eyes. One of our favorite Caribbean restaurants in Florida. Owner came to all tables and spoke with customers. An extremely nice gesture. At first it didn't look any different than any other surf side restaurant/diner. The clientele were dressed very casually and I was not expecting fine dining. The menu is quite extensive which could tend toward quality control problems. Nothing could have been further from the truth. The meal was outstanding. I don't have any specific recommendations because everything we ate was delicious and prepared and presented correctly and with fine garnish. From the seafood gumbo/chowder to the herbed salad dressing to the HUGE crab cake....the fall apart beef stew (prepared gluten free as are dozens of other menu items for those with Celiac's) and finally the rice pudding covered with roasted coconut and cinnamon.... it as all great! Did I mention that the meal was served piping hot just minutes after we finished our soup and salad? Reservations highly recommend as the line was forming on a Thursday night even with the quick, courteous and knowledgeable service. read more

Eek! I think not. Husband and I wanted to try something new so opted for Mo-Bay, as it seemed to have a lot of good reviews. We arrived early to avoid crowds. It seemed nice, not overly elegant but not shabby either. Waitress asked for our drinks and when she didn't hear me, because of nearby things going on, she made a crack about "using our indoor voices now." She may have been trying to be funny but it fell flat and felt like an insult to be honest. She brought our drinks quickly, two Pepsis in cocktail glasses. Next up our orders . Husband ordered the curried goat and I the Bleu cheese sirloin with garlic smashed potatoes. We also both got salads. The salads came out and were okay. It had a lot of cucumber and tomato and a green dressing that we liked, if a bit sweet. We ate the salads and then waited... And waited for our food. It was a long while before the entrees came out. Finally they arrived. I noticed right away that the steak had a brown gravy like substance on it, which would be okay by itself but rather clashed with the Bleu cheese, which was just a small pile on the side of the plate. The meat was well done instead of the medium I had requested and there was no Bleu cheese on the steak or in the gravy, but just a small pile on the side as an afterthought. The garlic mashed potatoes tasted fake, like instant mashed potatoes made from a box. Any garlic here was purely by mistake, not design. And the vegetables were very sorry looking: there was a single green bean, a single broccoli floret, and a mishmash of something green that I'm fairly certain was broccoli stem mixed with lettuce. Husband's dinner was worse, if you can imagine it. He had the curried goat which came with the same sorry collection of green vegetables which might have included cabbage, but who knows. He also got a rice and beans mixture which was underwhelming and then the curried goat itself was full of bones. Not gristle. Not tough meat. Bones. Throughout the piece such that he had to go through and pick the small amounts of meat off of the bones. He reports that the little bit of meat he did get to eat was nothing spectacular, but rather dull. My husband eats very small portions at meals to begin with, but there was not enough here to satisfy even the smallest of palates. Hence, dessert. Somewhere else. I cannot in good faith recommend this place to anyone. Sebastian has a lot of nice places to dine, but this is not one of them. read more

Holy Cow, this was hands down the best huervos rancheros I've ever had. It was a unique twist on the traditional dish and it was amazing. Make sure you bring your appetite because it is a lot of food. I was able to finish my plate but had to take a nap in the parking lot before driving away...... Enjoy! read more
