To the business owner that wrote out a comment: I appreciate your response, there are a few items that I'd like to clarify for you. I tipped in cash on Mother's Day that's where your missing amount is. Yes as I mentioned in the review the courtesy of doing my nails to fix the previous experience was a nice gesture and I never said your prices were unreasonable. what's unreasonable is paying regular salon prices with a travel fee for nails that last only 3-4 days. Most customers are expecting their nails to last a week maybe even 2, but every 3-4 days is just not practical. I don't think it's fair to say that most salons wouldn't fix a chip after day 3, any salon I've ever been to would have immediately fixed it if anything was wrong in that amount of time and the previous encounters I've had with a salon the owner cleared out time the same day I called if not the next day. Although the offer to fix my nails was presented I was told to wait a week and then the day they were supposed to be fixed it was cancelled because I got a text minutes before asking if the apppintment can be pushed out . I had already waited a week and changed my schedule to accommodate another nail appointment and it was being pushed out with little to no communication regarding the reason just that it needed to be pushed with no regard to me mentioning I had to travel for business and that I've had chipped and cracked nails for longer than I had solid nails. I shared that I couldn't keep changing my scheduled appointment minutes before. The technician nor the owner made an attempt to try to reschedule with me after I returned from my business travel. I was more than flexible with everything up until the appointment change could've disrupted my plans. I was not contacted upon my return to reschedule. I reached out and when it came down to completing the booking and paying the deposit I just didn't have the confidence that the service was going to be any different than the previous two times. So I decided to not continue with paying the fees for a third try. It may come as a shock but I did try and I was being flexible but after everything is said and done the entire experience was negative and completely dissatisfying. I wouldn't want to have this feeling of worry about the quality of my nails when booking for my bridal party, my wedding, my friends for a girls night out, or just because. I think that's the point you're missing. I don't mind paying $175 for nails for myself, but they should last at least a week in my opinion. read more

I found Carolyn on Yelp and I'm so glad I di! I was hosting an end of the season gymnastic party and thought it would be a cute idea to have someone come out and paint their hands and toe nails. After a few adjustments, by moving some other appointments around and by us changing our time for her to arrive, Carolyn made it happen. She was about 30 mins late due to traffic, but what can you do. Traffic is traffic She immediately set up, she had brought a rolling case which carried her own little stool in it! So cool! I always wanted to try a mobile nail tech. I am used to going to busy salons where they always rush rush rush, and I was longing for a relaxing manicure in my own home. It was an incredible experience and I don't think I will be able to go back to a traditional nail salon ever again! Carolyn is professional, respectful, friendly, easy-going, and made me feel very comfortable. She is very careful and meticulous, and she made sure she was never hurting me. I told her that I have had some bad experiences at salons with being cut and burned in the past. Carolyn cares about the health of your nails, not just the appearance, which is so rare. I had my old set taken off and got a new full set. Carolyn took the time to remove my old acrylic set properly by soaking them rather than just drilling, which I have never experienced before. Usually nail techs in a salon will drill acrylics to remove them, because they are in a rush and by doing this repeatedly it is impossible to not end up with weak, thin, brittle nails. She even asked me several times if the nail drill was too hot, which no one has ever asked me before. And she didn't drill my cuticles which most nail techs do when you get acrylics. I wasn't cut or burned at all...I didn't even know that was possible because every other nail tech I have had has always cut and burned me to some extent. Carolyn also took the time to explain different options to me for my nails, from gel, to acrylics, to dipping powder, to gelx, and more. She was not pushy at all and let me decide for myself which route I wanted to go. I ended up going for acrylics with a nail tip. I showed her a picture of the design I wanted, and she had no problems replicating it perfectly on my nails. She has a seemingly endless array of high quality color options, glitter, and chrome powders. She even had two different shades of white and helped me decide which shade would go best with my skin tone. I am beyond thrilled with my nails and the entire experience, and am looking forward to having Carolyn create my next set! read more

Carolyn is my go to nail tech. Friendly and does exactly what I ask for. I always do a pedi and SNS dipping powder. Once in awhile I do acrylic for special occasions or vacations. All of it, she does well. She makes her best suggestions, as far as regular vs. gel for my toes if she knows I'll be on the beach or tells me what color looks better on my skin. She does a good foot scrub for the pedi, when other places charge extra. She takes her time and offers to fix if you have any issues. One big thing is that I've expressed how I always get cut at every nail salon I've been to so I do get anxious when that time comes to grind down the powder around the outer rim of the nail. Carolyn is aware of it and each time says "I know you don't like this part" and does her best to be gentle and concentrates even more during this part which I'm grateful for. Thanks Carolyn! In the current Covid-19 era, personal care businesses in California have been mandated to close. Sadly, this includes nail salons. I can take or leave my massages, waxing, eyelash extensions, and hair appointments, but I NEED to have my nails done. Fortunately, Mobile Couture Nails has somehow found a legal loophole, and is available for a wide variety of private at home nail services. I made an appointment by text, where I was asked to make a $20 deposit. On the day of my appointment, my nail tech Coco arrived at my house on time. She set up shop in my living room, and banged out a flawless full set in one hour. I have had acrylic nails for 15 years, and have never seen someone work so fast, without seeming rushed. I highly recommend Coco. Prices are only slightly higher than what you will pay at a salon, plus a travel fee depending on where you live. Be sure to wear a mask and tip well.
