I wasn't expecting this pizza chain to be as good as it is, but they proved me wrong. It's fast, affordable, customizable and delicious. They don't skimp on the toppings, either. I usually get one of their menu posted pizzas with my own personal twist. The 11 inch mega dough is enough to enjoy half in one sitting, then the rest reheated later on that day, which is what I do. Their regular sized pizzas are small enough to be filling and finished in one sitting. The workers are generally friendly, there are one or two grouches, but I've learned to stay away on the weekends when the teenagers are working. Plus the interactions are minimal, but it's not cool when they run out of toppings and the staff decides they can't be bothered to go in the back to get a refill. I just brushed it off and kept moving. Utilize their curbside option, that's what I do!

This MOD Pizza is probably one of the better walk-the-line Chipotle style pizza places I've been to. I chose this because they did have a non-dairy (vegan) cheese option. They actually put enough cheese on the pizza unlike some of the other places who dust it on. It's also a good size and pretty filling for me (a big eater), so I'd imagine many people will be getting to-go boxes for their leftovers. They even had a balsamic drizzle to give it some extra flavor. The staff was helpful at answering my questions on which crusts and which toppings to get (veggies) and not get (meat) for my plant-based meal. It wasn't overly crowded as it was right before the dinner rush, but on the way out, there was a line, but it seemed to be moving quickly. They do have some beer choices as well, a few on tap, but the plastic cups are a bit small. It's the same size cup for soda pop as well, so if you're thirsty, you'll be refilling often.

I love MOD Pizza. We normally go to the location in Rivergate, but we were meeting someone else and wanted to go to this one to be closer to I485. After being a MOD Pizza customer for 3 years at the other location, I have come to find my favorite pizza creation that includes garlic rub, couple different cheeses, veggies, and meats, with red sauce dollops on top! I love that you can get as many toppings as you want at the same price! This particular time, I saw the sign for the cauliflower pizza crust and decided to give it a go. Unfortunately that was a mistake. I have had cauliflower pizza crusts before and have found them enjoyable! Here, it was overcooked - could not even eat the entire crust as it was too crispy and again, just overcooked. I did enjoy the overall flavor of it, but I would just stick to the regular crust here. I would still recommend MOD as I love the variety of topping options and the pizzas have excellent flavor! Probably won't be back to this location any time soon as we just have another location closer to us! I will also add in that while the staff was friendly here when ordering, they weren't has outgoing as you were coming and going like the location at Rivergate.

I prefer these type of chains than Pizza Hut , Papa John etc. With this pizza place you can pay one set price and get any toppings without paying xtra. I liked how they weren't stingy with the toppings. The staff was great. My pizza was very good.

July 2021. Hello my friends. Not gonna lie - I'm typically cool for Dominoes or shii like that but I think MOD's Pizza has kinda changed that for me. Even though it's slightly pricier than your typical chain pizza , I think it's pretty worth. Its thin form factor with pretty much unlimited toppings is a game changer in many ways. The crust is crisp and baked to perfection (or mine was at least). However if you're just tryna bulk and pack some cals/get full and do not need lots of toppings then look at other chain deals to get your calories worth. BUTT, if you're down to throw in some extra money for a pizza to get double(?) dough/crust, this will def be a great option. I have a suggestion if you're down tho: - 11in pizza, tomato based sauce, cheese, pepperoni, sausage, bacon, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, cilantro, spinach, then cheese again - seriously such a great combo. My staffer person was friendly and engaged! This location was cleannn. Will definitely come back for dis shi again.

Mod Pizza makes a great pie. I love the thin(ner) crust because it allows for a crispy, crunchy bite and a little charred flavor. Lots of great flavor, toppings and ingredients. I like the predetermined pies or "build your own" options, but the down side is the predetermined are all amazing, and on the flip side, build your own is exactly what you want. A great big open, well lite dining room with bar height tables, traditional tables. Very clean, organized and comfortable. Was able to relax and enjoy company and the food. Staff was really nice and focused on customer service.

I am a huge fan of this customization thing that seems to be taking over. Pick your base, pick your sauce, pick your toppings. Easy! I chose a classic 11 inch pie with the regular sauce and added chicken, bacon, sweet and hot peppers, red onions and extra Parmesan cheese, Despite all of these toppings, when the pizza was ready it was not wet or drippy at all. Flavor? Excellent. Crispy crust, well cooked toppings. Coke fountain with lemonade and sweet tea. They also have some OMB and other local beers on tap. Inside and outside tables.

First time at MOD Pizza. Never heard of the joint actually. It was a recommendation from a guy I was conducting a Craigslist transaction with. So my girl and I stopped by to check it out. Groovy place. Build your own pizza joint. Assembly line similar to Qdoba. We went freestyle and ordered a margarita with a twist (pineapple) and a meat lovers with extra meat. Dynamite flavor, great sauce, friendly service and the order came out quick. The price was even better! If we're ever in the area again we'll check it out.

I'm so glad we finally got a good restaurant in Steele Creek! I love the build your own pizza and you can't beat the price. They give you so many toppings that the mini pizza is more than enough food for one person. You can't find a better dinner for less than $5. Their blackberry lemonade is absolutely delicious! This was my 1st time here. Just landed and wanted to meet the Hubby for lunch. This is were he picked. We walked in and everyone was so nice. I came up to the counter and they helped me through adding things to my pizza. I asked for it to be crispy and they made it just right. I had a mini mad dog with ricotta, garlic, onions and oregano added. They were out of mushrooms. All in all great little place to get a pizza with fast friendly service. I will definitely be back if in the area in the future. read more

Omg I came in on a Sunday afternoon and they ran out of at least 2 ingredients that came with my order and I wasn't notified until the order was already fixed. There was no citrus dressing fir my salad and no arugula for my pizza. Also all of the teas were empty and there was no root beer. I won't be coming to this location again. read more

This was my first visit to the Berewick MOD. I've had them before and was never really blown away. The plain pizzas are very good and the price point is fair, but I usually judge them by the gluten free pizzas. My wife is celiac and like any normal person loved pizza before she was diagnosed with the disorder. So when we see Gluten free, we run to try it. The GF pizza from our other MOD visits always left something to be desired. Always soft and nearly undercooked for our tastes. The ingredients are very nice, but the crust is what makes it. On this visit the pizza was great. The crust was crispy and not burnt. The staff was lovely and my internet order was ready right when I arrived. No complaints about the Berewick store. Today was my first time here. Their customer service was excellent. They help you with the choices. It reminded me of a Chipotle pizza style! They do have a great variety of options. The pizza is made thin crust so if you are a fan of thin crust then this is definitely the spot. The pizza was delicious and I will definitely be going back. The only negative thing I can say is that part of the crust was burnt so it had that smokey taste. I think it might have been from me overdoing the meat toppings and them having to make sure it was cooked. read more

Today was the total opposite of the last time I visited MOD. The three women working here had some super nasty attitudes. I had several different orders to make and she was intensely focused on how many pizzas I was getting instead of what I wanted on each pizza. She had an attitude when asked for more of an ingredient and didn't seem too interested in listening to what I had to say. They were very low on broccoli and were too lazy to go get more. They were asked twice to warm up chicken for a salad and there were eyerolls like it was the end of the world. I had intentions on ordering more salads with my pizzas but their attitudes steered me away from spending anymore money here and burdening the staff with my order. During my visit, a lady walked in and all of the staff greeted her... no one spoke when my sister and I walked in and we were the only people in the store.I did not feel welcomed here at all today. The two stars is not a reflection on the taste of the food, just the service. read more

This is my go to lunch spot. The pizza is great and you can make it to your own liking. Restaurant is clean and the staff is pretty friendly. My only complaint thats not really a complaint is that the employees sound so dead when somebody walks in. They say a cringe worthy "Hellooooo" upon somebody entering and a sad sounding "thank you" when you exit... It sounds so forced and uncomfortable. Thats my two cents...have a nice day read more

We love Mod Pizza.... Have for years.... From Napa, CA to Lexington, SC. Eating at this location made us think Ashton Kutcher would be coming out to say we had been Punk'd.....1 of the 3 employees wore a mask. The (maskless) pizza maker shook his hair vigorously in the kitchen and used his bare hand to swipe old food and filthy receipts onto the kitchen floor. The food bar was disgusting. The lemonade and punch dispensers were empty with only crusty remnants stuck on the inside of both. One napkin dispenser with napkins and 2 empty. Not a single clean table. And we were only people there. The fact that we opted to go to a hardware store instead of using their restrooms, should say enough.....rolls of toilet paper soaking up standing water on the floor and liquid soap everywhere. Naturally, no paper towels in either restroom. No problem.... We'll use the hand sanitizer on our way out by the drink station. Ha!! Of course it's empty. read more

Went here after reading all the reviews and was not disappointed at all. The crew was attentive, had all the fresh toppings you could imagine. I got the mod with meat and veggie mix. Was surprised that onions weren't diced like bell peppers were but not that huge an issue. Pizza crust is actually where point was lost on me. Cooked a little thinner than I liked and burned a little more than I liked. Maybe I should have gotten the thicker crust but it looked fine preprepared. Still would recommend for someone looking for fresh pizza outing. Think the pizza itself was just under $9 and fountain drinks including teas and lemonades were just over $2. read more

Unfortunately, this location has become a nightmare. Ordering your pizza is like talking to a brick wall. They're not listening, they skip steps, they keep putting cheese on my pizza even though I literally said no cheese 10 seconds ago, and they don't bother to ask if you want a finishing sauce anymore. It's a struggle to get the attention of the person standing right in front of you making your pizza, then they slop some ingredients on it and look at the next person whether you're done or not. No more thank yous, no more pleasantries, no more good service. Probably not coming back when there are hundreds of other places to grab food that don't treat you like you're an inconvenience for giving them business. - - - - - This is exactly what we've been waiting for on this side of town. Quick, easy, cheap, and freaking delicious. I love that I can easily get a vegan pizza without having to make a bunch of special requests, and the staff is always super friendly. They yell hello and goodbye as you go through the door which is cute, and the line always moves very quickly. In fact, I was just there to pick up an order I placed online and I showed up a bit early. The guy apologized for my pizzas not being ready and gave me a drink on the house while I waited. I'm so happy to have MOD pizza in our area. Most of my friends don't like it but I love it. The folks are always quick to greet you as you enter the restaurant. They all seem to be happy and enjoy working there. I love being able to add whatever toppings I want but this time I opted for just pepperoni. Watching them make it is a plus for me. I love cheese so I always ask for extra mozzarella and they will pile it on for you. It's a nice place to eat and hangout especially since there's an outdoor patio for those nice cool nights. Then of course as you are leaving they always thank you and say goodbye. read more

Good quality pizza with fresh ingredients. You make your own pizza here, so don't even look at the preset menu on the wall. One time I tried to order one of those and the employees kept asking what I want on it (ummm, the things that are listed?!). They also have a few Old Meck (local) beers on tap. Says $2 draft Tuesdays. Staff is friendly when you go. They always greet you when you come and go, think Moe's "Welcome to Moes!" Plus there are usually about 15 people working at any given time. Think assembly line concept. Style inside is modern and sleek. Think concrete floor and rustic wood table. Overall a great place to eat. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed. read more

This location is the worse one, custom service sucked and the supervisor was VERY unprofessional. Was told on a Saturday that they were only doing online orders due to lack of employees, it was clearly 4 employees, and 1 was on the phone holding a full conversation with a friend. Well I can say I really enjoyed this pizza joint , I wish the guy who helped me was a little bit more helpful seeing that was my first time here . But I figured it out on my own . The pizza was great I really enjoyed every bite, doesn't look that tasty but it really was flavorful, I got all veggies on mine I got my son a pepperoni pizza and he enjoyed it also. Do not go to this location ! They literally just charged me 1.47$ for some damn ice. I'm fighting a cold so I didn't even have the energy to argue. But I did question the girl that gave me the cup & I said you charged me 1.47 for this? She literally walked away she was so damn rude. This is my second time going to this location& my last. the first time I came & they rise I just figured oh no they just opened so it's okay. No this is what they do!! Get some new workers with respect! This shxx is ridiculous! I will be calling tomorrow to speak with the manager hopefully my damn voice is back by then ! I will happily go to the Steele Creek location with no problem as I've never had any issues...shxx is ridiculous read more

First time today and thoroughly enjoyed it! The best thing about this is the people. Super friendly and efficient. I loved the many different options. All the toppings were fresh and delicious. I ordered 2 pizzas and they were ready exactly when they were supposed to be. Can't wait to go back and try other combinations. I got pepperoni, 3 different cheeses, mushrooms (fresh, not canned) and roasted garlic. YUM. Hubby got pepperoni, mushroom, onion & spicy sausage. Sausage was too spicy for me but he loved the combination. Oh forgot to mention the crust - has good flavor and just the right thickness. read more

I used the iPhone app, while out and about, to order a Mad Dog, add olives, cooked well done. It was perfectly cooked and ready when I walked in the door. The crispy crust and the tasty toppings made for a wonderful experience at this MOD pizza. Keep it up! read more

The staff here is really friendly like all Mod locations, guess you could say they took a page out of the Chick-fil-A handbook. The food is consistently good. It is one of my favorites out the personal pizza franchises. I also really like their salads & drinks. Fun little spot to visit. read more

The pizza and price is outstanding, however, the service...not so much. I live near this location so I go often. Each time, they have teenagers working the line that seem to have NO CLUE what is goin on and the personalities of a rock. I tried to tell myself in the beginning that it was a new location and they are just getting it together. But still, the scenario remains. I cant for the life of me figure out who is in charge in that place! I hate it for MOD because the food is so good. MOD, just because you say hello and goodbye does not mean the customer service is great. It's the moments in between that have prompted this review. read more

Did not enjoy my pizza nor my experience here. This was my first time here so I wasn't sure what to expect. At first it seemed just like a blaze pizza, which I thought I was going to have hit exceptions. The menu was a little confusing it didn't mention anything the pizza crust. I ordered the " Tristan " classic pizza with chicken, I receive no chicken and I didn't know the classic pizzas came with a thin crispy, flatbread like crust, which had no favor to it whatsoever. I felt rushed to order, and the staff have having more fun then worrying about what's going on. I'm all about working being fun but there's a time and place when you need to be professional. The price was also a bit on the expensive side since I got a pizza with just cheese/pesto/garlic/peppers. I just didn't have a good experience and I probably won't return unfortunately. read more

Had the worst experience at this Mod Pizza. Ordered a mini pizza to go. Paid for it and watched for over 3 minutes as my pizza set by itself without going in oven. Manager with beard had his laptop up on table by drink machines. He walked past my pizza twice with no regard to it. The other 2 employees behind counter apparently cannot put them in. I just left. Pretty good, despite smaller portions and toppings than their competitor. The staff appeared happy to me, so previous reviews for here must have reached the right ears? Good to see them washing hands, cleaning counters and changing of their gloves. Prices were fair. Would try some other options if I am in the area, but not worth a special trip. read more

My only complaint, and I'm sure it is partly by design to keep people from staying long, the stools you can sit on to enjoy your pizza inside the restaurant are THE WORST I have ever placed my derrier on. Even for 15 minutes, it wasn't just uncomfortable, it was painful. It took me a couple blocks to start walking correctly again. Might as well just get rid of them and have people stand to eat. But check it out for yourself because we only tried three things and the pictures of the other pizzas do look amazing. That is all!

Walked in and was greeted with a loud "HELLO, WELCOME", which was very pleasant. There was a huuuge line though, but they did get through everyone fairly quickly. People were going in and out pretty fast. People would get up and leave and then new people would immediately sit down, so the staff didn't really got to wipe down tables. The pizza was great. They charged a flat fee, no extra fee for extra toppings or sauces. Crust was great for dipping in their sauces. I tried the pesto and sri-rancha, both of which were delicious. Their ingredients were quality in my opinion, and the make table was clean. Usually in pizza places you see a bunch of ingredients mixed together on their make table after a while, but I didn't see that here. Been Hook fro. The first time I tried it, I like the true idea of having it to your way, exactly the way you want it and the staffing us outstanding they make you feel like you are part of the team. Best location ever , very clean , well stocked and the best staff I got the Issac mod pizza and the sweet girl working recommended I got mozzarella cheese on it and it was the best thing ever ... all the young females working early this morning were very upbeat and cheerful ... great story to the Issac pizza as well .... the pizza was cooked just right and I ate all of it and I can't wait to be in the area again read more

My intentions were on eating fuzzy taco shop but it was closed so I've never been to mod pizza until tonight I walked in before a group of 20+ people and the staff was so excellent I got a gluten free pizza and it was so good ... with my pizza the lady recommend I got a fig finish Sauce and omg it was my fav ... I will be coming back for sure read more

I've gone to this location multiple times on my lunch break. Consistently greeted with a smile by the manager and accompanied by staff. Excellent customer service and very good pizza. It's nice to be appreciated when spending money that you're not required to. I recommend Berewick. read more
