I wasn't expecting this pizza chain to be as good as it is, but they proved me wrong. It's fast, affordable, customizable and delicious. They don't skimp on the toppings, either. I usually get one of their menu posted pizzas with my own personal twist. The 11 inch mega dough is enough to enjoy half in one sitting, then the rest reheated later on that day, which is what I do. Their regular sized pizzas are small enough to be filling and finished in one sitting. The workers are generally friendly, there are one or two grouches, but I've learned to stay away on the weekends when the teenagers are working. Plus the interactions are minimal, but it's not cool when they run out of toppings and the staff decides they can't be bothered to go in the back to get a refill. I just brushed it off and kept moving. Utilize their curbside option, that's what I do!

This MOD Pizza is probably one of the better walk-the-line Chipotle style pizza places I've been to. I chose this because they did have a non-dairy (vegan) cheese option. They actually put enough cheese on the pizza unlike some of the other places who dust it on. It's also a good size and pretty filling for me (a big eater), so I'd imagine many people will be getting to-go boxes for their leftovers. They even had a balsamic drizzle to give it some extra flavor. The staff was helpful at answering my questions on which crusts and which toppings to get (veggies) and not get (meat) for my plant-based meal. It wasn't overly crowded as it was right before the dinner rush, but on the way out, there was a line, but it seemed to be moving quickly. They do have some beer choices as well, a few on tap, but the plastic cups are a bit small. It's the same size cup for soda pop as well, so if you're thirsty, you'll be refilling often.

I love MOD Pizza. We normally go to the location in Rivergate, but we were meeting someone else and wanted to go to this one to be closer to I485. After being a MOD Pizza customer for 3 years at the other location, I have come to find my favorite pizza creation that includes garlic rub, couple different cheeses, veggies, and meats, with red sauce dollops on top! I love that you can get as many toppings as you want at the same price! This particular time, I saw the sign for the cauliflower pizza crust and decided to give it a go. Unfortunately that was a mistake. I have had cauliflower pizza crusts before and have found them enjoyable! Here, it was overcooked - could not even eat the entire crust as it was too crispy and again, just overcooked. I did enjoy the overall flavor of it, but I would just stick to the regular crust here. I would still recommend MOD as I love the variety of topping options and the pizzas have excellent flavor! Probably won't be back to this location any time soon as we just have another location closer to us! I will also add in that while the staff was friendly here when ordering, they weren't has outgoing as you were coming and going like the location at Rivergate.

I prefer these type of chains than Pizza Hut , Papa John etc. With this pizza place you can pay one set price and get any toppings without paying xtra. I liked how they weren't stingy with the toppings. The staff was great. My pizza was very good.

July 2021. Hello my friends. Not gonna lie - I'm typically cool for Dominoes or shii like that but I think MOD's Pizza has kinda changed that for me. Even though it's slightly pricier than your typical chain pizza , I think it's pretty worth. Its thin form factor with pretty much unlimited toppings is a game changer in many ways. The crust is crisp and baked to perfection (or mine was at least). However if you're just tryna bulk and pack some cals/get full and do not need lots of toppings then look at other chain deals to get your calories worth. BUTT, if you're down to throw in some extra money for a pizza to get double(?) dough/crust, this will def be a great option. I have a suggestion if you're down tho: - 11in pizza, tomato based sauce, cheese, pepperoni, sausage, bacon, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, cilantro, spinach, then cheese again - seriously such a great combo. My staffer person was friendly and engaged! This location was cleannn. Will definitely come back for dis shi again.

Mod Pizza makes a great pie. I love the thin(ner) crust because it allows for a crispy, crunchy bite and a little charred flavor. Lots of great flavor, toppings and ingredients. I like the predetermined pies or "build your own" options, but the down side is the predetermined are all amazing, and on the flip side, build your own is exactly what you want. A great big open, well lite dining room with bar height tables, traditional tables. Very clean, organized and comfortable. Was able to relax and enjoy company and the food. Staff was really nice and focused on customer service.

I am a huge fan of this customization thing that seems to be taking over. Pick your base, pick your sauce, pick your toppings. Easy! I chose a classic 11 inch pie with the regular sauce and added chicken, bacon, sweet and hot peppers, red onions and extra Parmesan cheese, Despite all of these toppings, when the pizza was ready it was not wet or drippy at all. Flavor? Excellent. Crispy crust, well cooked toppings. Coke fountain with lemonade and sweet tea. They also have some OMB and other local beers on tap. Inside and outside tables.

First time at MOD Pizza. Never heard of the joint actually. It was a recommendation from a guy I was conducting a Craigslist transaction with. So my girl and I stopped by to check it out. Groovy place. Build your own pizza joint. Assembly line similar to Qdoba. We went freestyle and ordered a margarita with a twist (pineapple) and a meat lovers with extra meat. Dynamite flavor, great sauce, friendly service and the order came out quick. The price was even better! If we're ever in the area again we'll check it out.

I actually found this place on Yelp! and wanted to try it! It's like a Subway for pizza. You pay a base price and add all the toppings you want. I think there were about 30-40 things to add (different sauces, meats, cheeses, spices, etc). My wife and I split an 11" loaded meat pizza. The crust was soft and flakey, but crunchy from the brick over at the same time. The sauce was super yummy! We couldn't even finish it. We got just a fountain drink (their sweet tea is AMAZING), and our total for the meal was about $11. Highly reccomend if you love pizza, options, and a good price! We will be back! read more

This is not Pizza. It's a Pizza-like snack on a tortilla type crust. I like the customization and the varied options for cost depending on size. I ordered the preset BBQ mini pizza which was very sweet with the double dose of BBQ sauce. The cashier rang me out for the personal size and had to re-do my transaction. She was focused on balancing her till rather than getting my purchase amount correct. The dining room was mostly empty except for the store manager and an associate discussing personnel issues along with a couple more associates off on side having a personal conversation. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you really like flatbreads. read more

This is my new favorite pizza place! Why, you ask? The staff are super friendly and helpful. The dining room is clean. But most of all they offer a reasonably priced gluten-free pizza!!! I can add as many toppings as I like at no extra cost, which I love since I already have to pay extra for a gluten-free crust. Dine-In or take-out, MOD pizza is a terrific deal! read more

Visiting a college nearby & stopped for a quick lunch before flying back home to California. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and all the employees were so friendly & helped us with what to order and what their favorites were. Latoya, especially, was so welcoming & kind. Super nice staff!!! On top of that, the food was DELICIOUS! We ordered a caesar salad, pizza, garlic strips, & cinnamon strips. All of the food was cooked perfectly & with just enough toppings. This place had really good pizza! This was my first ever experience at a MOD Pizza and me and my boyfriend definitely enjoyed it. I love the casual atmosphere and chipotle-style build your own pizza style of ordering. Getting to customize your toppings is my favorite part, and you don't pay extra for them! This location had subpar customer service. The employees seemed rushed and didn't really answer questions that well. For instance, I tried to ask for blue cheese dressing and buffalo sauce for my pizza after it was ready, but was told they didn't have any blue cheese. But when I was ordering my pizza in line, I saw blue cheese, ceasar, ranch, and other dressings but they told me they put them on after the pizza was done baking. It's a small thing, but just make sure you get dressing before your pizza goes in the oven at this location! Also, tables were not very clean, and when an employee did finally come around to clean tables and refill napkins, he literally looked like he hated his job. I would come back to MOD Pizza, but maybe try a different location. read more

I went to this place with high expectations based on the reviews but left disappointed. The pizza wasn't bad, and for the price I can't really complain, but the service was spotty. It seemed the only one who cared about her job was the shift manager and she was surrounded by people who didn't know their job and/or didn't care about their job. I won't be going back anytime soon. Perhaps this review will be outdated soon if they get their employee situation straightened out. read more

Love this place! I was so excited to try your place because it's right around the corner from my house. I've been waiting for it to open and I was not disappointed. Normally I'm a fan of Blaze but I love the this crust pizza and the toppings they have. They even have vegan cheese and brussel sprouts! When you come in they say hello and when you leave they say bye. The energy is magnetic and the staff seem happy to there! read more

Wow! We are out of town, just visiting and found this place by total luck! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by at least three people happily making pizzas. The pizza, Caesar salad, and garlic and cinnamon strips are to die for!!!!! Yummy!!! Fresh!!! So tasty!!! And so many choices!! We met Latoya who was just super nice. It's obvious that the employees really like working here! Clean and cool environment! And, just found out that Mods has locations in California!! Try the Oreo shake too! read more

This MOD location is awesome! The last three times we have visited there have been new manager(s) ( I think they should be) and plan to get their names. They do not stop! One lady asked us how our food was and asked us if we needed anything. The other guy is just off the chart- he talks to EVERY customer and SO cares how your meal turns out. The customer service is excellent! The tables are clean and items are stocked for customers. The food looks fresh and kept very clean around the area where the nice staff makes your pizza/ salad. This is how it should be when you eat out! Satisfying! read more

Usually don't give ratings but today during lunch the women employees at this location was on point. When customers came in they said welcome and when they left they said thank you. I do not think they missed anyone. They were fast, precise, spoke clearly, and most of all friendly. My wife loves the sweet tea made there. My family loves the pizza. We will be back in the near future. read more

Overall the pizza is average but knocked a star for service. I've been here twice and everyone seems miserable to work there. First try I got a normal byo pizza. Crust was burnt but had a to go order so didn't know until I got home. I did use the online order and was on time. Second order I did the extra crust because I didn't care for how thin the original crust was. This pizza was under done, again carry out so no way for me to get another. Also this time was very busy and got my pizza right away but sat and waited another 10mins for my milkshake. So my pizza got cold and on top of it the milkshake was terrible. Had a gritty texture and clearly made up of a bunch of chemicals vs actual ice cream. Was hoping for more since right down the street but with less than average food and terrible service not sure why I would return. read more

So you want to talk about professionalism and the best attitude of all times, then let me introduce you to Sabrina the assistant manager of Mod Pizza. She made sure our experience and the product matched. In our opinion I was hoping she is next in line to run her own Mod Pizza because she has the customer service skills set that we all miss in other establishments. I could name a few but let's keep this on the up and up. The pizza is fresh made to your tummy's delight and the blackberry lemonade makes you want to sneak in the back for the recipe. If your ever in the area stop in and say hi to Sabrina you won't be disappointed. read more

I like MOD pizza in general but the service and quality is lacking at this location. They burn the pizzas a lot. They will redo them but it's frustrating to wait. Literally took 25 mins w no line to get one that wasn't black all along the edge and underneath. They try to "trim" the black edges and then give you the pizza so you don't even get the size you pay for. read more

We arrived at this location at closing time, 10 pm, on a Sunday night after an unexpectedly long and frustrating travel day. The pizza is pretty good, but the quality has been falling since our first visit back in November, primarily that the crust isn't being cooked for as long. The crust on our last few pizzas have been very soft. Multiple times the online orders haven't been totally correct. My most recent visit I ordered online and the pickup time was for 6:47 pm. I arrived at 6:45 and the pizzas were still being prepared, they weren't even in the oven. It seems like the staff is simply there for get a paycheck and could care less. read more

The thing that makes both slices so good is the garlic butter bath all around the crust that you can see them doing in the kitchen. Not just that, but the texture in the crust will make even non-crust lovers think again. You're basically left with big doughy garlic butter breadsticks. Definitely a 5 on taste. My only complaint, and I'm sure it is partly by design to keep people from staying long, the stools you can sit on to enjoy your pizza inside the restaurant are THE WORST I have ever placed my derrier on. Even for 15 minutes, it wasn't just uncomfortable, it was painful. It took me a couple blocks to start walking correctly again. Might as well just get rid of them and have people stand to eat. We did go back inside before leaving to get it straightened out, and they were nice about it. Service is good but a little slow when it came to getting things like extra napkins, drinks, etc.....and I could tell some waitresses were a bit more attentive to their tables vs. others. Definitely would return, but maybe more so just to pick up a pizza at the outside window and take it back home.

To top it off don't even think about leaving before you have one of their brown butter chocolate chip cookies! They are ridiculous and a must. If no room in your belly make sure to get one to go and you can heat it up to perfection when you get home.

The pasta salad it came with also lacked flavor, though very green and appearing loaded with flavor it was not. And when eating it, the texture was very gummy. Didn't finish that. Overall, it was okay but I'm not likely to return just because there are better options based on the things we tried. But taste is subjective and it just wasn't our vibe today. But check it out for yourself because we only tried three things and the pictures of the other pizzas do look amazing. That is all!

DRINKS We split a tentaka kuni 'hawk of the heavens' tokubetsu junmai saki which was earthy but neutral and great for slow sipping. I also had a very good old fashioned and capped off the night with a glass of miner family winery 'emily' (2021) cab. The restaurant is gorgeous and has very casual/elegant dining vibes. Very prompt and friendly staff made the night even more special. I was treated to complimentary "fried milk" for my birthday hand delivered by one of the chefs. Not to be outdone, the warm banana cake was the final dish of our 7 courses and was one of the best desserts I've ever had. The white coffee ice cream that accompanies it is just... chef's kiss. The hot rock is both fun and delicious (pro-tip: use both sauces in combination!). The bluefin chutoro, pork flank, and spicy crunchy roll were all absolutely top-notch. Another shining star to end the night is the fried milk dessert. Do yourself a favor and save room, because this is a next-level dessert unlike anything else. The flavor explosion from the actual fried milk balls is life-changing. For drinks, I highly suggest their signature cocktails, the Subarashi and the Nikko Martini. You truly can't go wrong here. Walked in and was greeted with a loud "HELLO, WELCOME", which was very pleasant. There was a huuuge line though, but they did get through everyone fairly quickly. People were going in and out pretty fast. People would get up and leave and then new people would immediately sit down, so the staff didn't really got to wipe down tables. The pizza was great. They charged a flat fee, no extra fee for extra toppings or sauces. Crust was great for dipping in their sauces. I tried the pesto and sri-rancha, both of which were delicious. Their ingredients were quality in my opinion, and the make table was clean. Usually in pizza places you see a bunch of ingredients mixed together on their make table after a while, but I didn't see that here.
