When I visited Mod Pizza in Concord it was my first experience with Mod. The store is kinda like subway in that you can tell them what you want on your pizza, and they will make it right in front of you. It is much faster than waiting for a pizza from Papa Murphy's. They have some classics you can chose from if your not sure what you want. The people were friendly and despite being a little crowded I didn't have to wait very long for my pizza. It's really cool how you can watch them cook the pizza in the oven. I give them bonus points for not charging people for sauces on the side. Its always annoying to have to fish for a quarter to buy sauces at some restaurants. When I was walking to my table after picking up my pizza I stepped on my shoelace and accidentally dropped my pizza. Thankfully it landed on the bottom and I picked it up. I would have eaten it anyway's because I hate wasting food, plus it didnt look too bad but the manager offered to make me another pizza free of charge. I left full and satisfied! 5 Stars! read more

It was my best friends younger twin sisters birthday, and we wanted to take them out, but didnt know where to go. We kept suggesting some where in San Francisco. The twins kept insisting we check out this MOD pizza spot. It is local, great parking, simple directions. We did not know you could costomize your own pizza in so manny intricately yummy ways! We had an amazing time and there was one employee in perticular who had the the greatest customer service I have ever seen in all my years of being in the food industry! I have worked from family owned to high end and fine dinning when I was younger, and I could honestly say Savanna is amazing and is one of the main reasons I am having the pleasure of writing this review. Let me start off with saying how much I love this place. My boyfriend and I went for a date night out. We had tried the MOD pizza in Brentwood and thought it was alright have not gone since. However, we decided to give the concord one a try. I am so glad I did! I had ordered a pineapple and olive pizza and my boyfriend got his meat pizza. Man kills me sometimes. Anyways, the staff was so warm and friendly. Our service was pretty fast we did not wait very long. While we were you can tell everyone around really felt a welcome vibe. First time at MOD pizza and I had an incredible experience! I came in exhausted and didn't want to cook and the staff instantly changed my mood around. As soon as my mom and I walked in they were lively and energetic and gave us an instant welcoming! Both my mom and I had no idea what we were doing and David and Bernard were patient and fun as we added every ingredient to our pizza. They even gave us samples of things we wanted to taste! Even the cashier Brooklynn greeted us by name as he rang up our order. The rest of the staff (Allen, Kris, Joe, Sal, Alcides and CiCi) even checked in on us to make sure our pizza was cooked to perfection! We recently ate at MOD Pizza and had a fantastic experience! The pizza was create your own and delicious, with a perfect balance of flavors and a crispy crust. My favorite was the cauliflower crust which costs a few dollars more, but worth it. Ambiance was casual. What truly stood out was the outstanding customer service - the staff was friendly, efficient, and went above and beyond to make sure I had a pleasant dining experience. From the moment we entered we were greeted by a warm welcome from the staff. They are very knowledgable about their products as well as what combinations taste best together. This MOD is very fast and the pizza came out looking great. I found the staff to be very pleasant. They were quick and knew a lot about their product. My Husband and I got a Lucy Sunshine with some suggested ad-ons that were great. During our meal one of the staff came over to check to make sure our meal was ok and if we needed anything. Very Impressed. I came in after seeing a movie and the was greeted with smiling faces. They seemed to be understaffed at the moment but that did not stop them from being quick on their feet. They all seemed to move like a well oiled machine. My boyfriend and I were impressed with how easily they seemed to flow with each other. Our pizza was cooked before we even finished paying. I walked in not knowing what to expect and was helped by Christa. The staff and her were very friendly and they made me feel welcomed. Took about 10 minutes to get my pizza, which was faster than i expected and sat down with a couple of friends and enjoyed our pizza. 2nd visit after a month and still excellent pizza, excellent service... This time, I wanted to place an order online and somehow managed to send it to Novato location.
