Went with my son last night. He is a big fan and he's been getting me to go since the start of the summer. I tried the Mad Dog pizza, which is a meat lovers type. I added a couple of veggies. It was well made, thin crust was just crispy enough in the right places and ingredients did not weigh down the slices too much. They have 3 sizes of pies. I had the medium or the Mod size and will probably scale down to small next time. One of their flavored iced teas were also excellent. There were families there that we knew so it definitely has a neighborhood hangout feel. Experience was overall very good. read more

I first thought this was very good. In recent weeks I feel this place is just ok. The crust seems to be lacking in taste and consistency. Choices are meager ad compared to new pizza joints like Blaze. I'll go here if I'm in a hurry but if I have time I'll drive to blaze. read more

My favorite part about Mod is the whole fact that you can build your own pizza! Its a wonderful concept, and Mod pulls it off very well. My first and last time to order here. I ordered a large pizza online to be ready for pick up at 7pm. I arrived at 7:15 and they still had to put the pizza together and cook it. When I got the pizza it was a small pizza that was burnt around the edges and the vegetables were all completely burnt. Their "large 11 inch pizza" was a tiny tortilla with burnt toppings that could fit in the palm of my hand. read more

They're also always staying on top of clean tables and making sure guests are okay which is surprisingly nice considering it's over the counter service. I like the idea of create your own pizza with unlimited toppings. They have a great selection, they make everything fresh right out in the open and you can watch it cook in the brick fire oven. This place is awesome! We had went to Grapevine, Texas for a weekend trip and tried artisan pizza for the first time. My husband is a picky eater and kept dreaming of the artisan pizza. Looked for artisan pizza places in Houston and came up on MOD pizza. My family and I loved it so much that my husband had requested it 3 times in the same week! You won't be disappointed! The pizza was good, food was fresh, but online ordering fell flat on its face. I ordered ahead of time, showed up to a packed restaurant and headed straight to the cashier. After some initial confusion, I was informed my pizza was in the oven and would be out shortly. 13 minutes later, no pizza. The cashier apologizes, informs me they likely gave away my pizza to someone, and had to make a whole new one from scratch. read more

Not sure what's happening here but this place has gone down hill fast. While some restaurants are going above and beyond to keep customers coming in during this tough time this location has seemingly gone out of it way to run people off. After completely jacking up a take out order recently ( no cheese on two of the 4 pizzas,missing salad dressing etc) we were told "we are so sorry, the next order is on us". Now I finally try and collect on this offer and they tell me to go ahead and order and come in and the manager will take care of it. I come out to the restaurant and wait to be greeted for 10 min when there is only 1 other person waiting for a to go order and 1 person in line ordering and 4 employees behind the bar. When they finally ask they tell me there is a balance owed- The full balance. I ask about the manager taking care of it and he says he doesn't know what I'm referring to. Huh? I tell him to pound sand and enjoy the pizzas they just made for me- no response from any of them as I walk out. Will not be going there ever again- too many other places who need and want the business. Went down the street to BB italia and got some great pizza and they were happy to have me as a customer and the pizza had cheese on it too! GFY MOD. read more

We've ordered twice online and the pizza has never been ready at the "Ready by" time. In fact, we have had to wait at least 30 minutes to get our pizzas. Case in point - today's order was supposed to be ready at 5:51pm...and we received our pizzas at 6:28pm. Not going to order here again. the concept is great and overall good pizza, we were a little disappointed on the quality. We came in yesterday and ordered 4 pizzas to go. Love this place. Great service and pizza. Plus draft beer! Excellent topping options and no nickel and diming - just a reasonable flat price. Great place to take children and parents alike. Also nice selection of iced tea and lemonade. Beware the cheap plasticware if you actually have to cut up a pizza like I do for my toddler. First and last time I will order from there. I ordered through door dash, excited to try the place as I usually go to my usual places. Order got delivered and we were missing the pizza from our order and then not one but both of the salads we ordered were wrong. Our ticket was clearly marked on the bag. They somehow mixed up what went in which salad. Most ingredients were there and they just combined them. For reference one salad was supposed to be the standard Caesar salad but somehow ended up with sausage and artichokes and no cheese. The other salad had the cheese (which was not ordered) and chicken, also not ordered but in place of the sausage that was ordered I guess. I waited 10 minutes to get someone on the phone and do you think I got as much as an "I'm sorry"? Nope! Girl on the phone was like "wow, did you order though us?" I said no through DoorDash and she says "oh, I can't do anything, you have to contact them" it was so irritating. Sorry would've gone a long way. It's a pandemic, restaurants are struggling. I don't care to patronize this business again nor would I recommend to anyone. I can honestly say if was out and about and had the option to go to another location, I wouldn't because I assume customer service is not the culture. It was too late to go somewhere else and with an infant at home. So, we just trashed the gross salads and made PBJs. DoorDash gave us back $15 so we lost $30 tonight my friend. Not worth it. Think before you order from here, is there a better place where they actually answer the phone before 10mins and care if they mess up my dinner? ‍ read more

I'm a regular customer. This is concerning the store on memorial and dairy ashford. It's very disappointing considering the traffic there is and I had to break my neck to eat here. This is usually my favorite one but not tonight. There was no blackberry lemonade the whole time I was there. The staff was extremely friendly, which kinda made up for how bad everything else was. The lobby was really messy, the trash was full, and I could barely fit my plate on the top. Somehow the staff didn't know which pizza was mine. A lot of people had to figure out their pizzas for themselves. The lady on dough had to make dough for each person that came up, which made the whole process slow. I don't think there was enough workers on shift to help out with the amount of people that came to eat. The people on staff were great considering the circumstances. read more

This is my favorite pizza chain, but all the locations don't have good food handling practices. Today I decided to visit the Memorial at Dairy Ashford location for lunch. The pizza line was fine, but there was one girl, who I assume was the manager because she was directing some of the staff around, that went back and forth between the cash register and making dough without washing her hands once. She also had a shirt wrapped around her waist which looked like she was using as an apron! Come on! Yall know I like good food, but I LOVE good food with good food handling practices! Won't be back to this location! I gave them a 3 star ONLY because I have experienced better at another location. Otherwise it would be a 1 star for bad practices. read more

Me my family came here for dinner . This place is just like subway but only pizzas version . The "mob" size is defiantly big enough if your really hungry . The "mini" is the perfect size for children or a small meal for an adult . The staff to me was like any fast food type place . There job is to get people in and out . No one was rude and they even told my husband "thank you" for his military service . Over all I enjoyed this place , although it was slightly pricey for a pizza we will come back . read more

My fiancé and I come here now and again when we want pizza. It's very fast and high quality pizza. The staff is very personable and they remember us when we come in thanks to our "unusual" toppings. As a self-described foodie, I prefer MOD over other chains because of the care put into each pizza and the stone-fired preparation. I can't even begin to describe the pizza's we ordered because we load them with all sorts of veggies and other toppings. We love it. read more

We love this place! I'm not sure what's best about our experience. The team that works this location is always welcoming and on point with their service and positive attitude. We love the thin crusts fire brick oven style puzza as well as the array of toppings available. They appear to be fresh and decent quality every time we drop in. The pizzas are light and crispy allowing one to really enjoy the flavor of the fresh toppings without all the heavy grease and thick dough(carbs!). I can eat a whole pizza and not feel the sugar/carb crash two hours later. I'm a bargain shopper by nature, all men are, so i love the fact that you can load up on as many toppings as i like, all inclusive. Awesome business model! We are iced tea fans also, and they usually have a fresh batch of gently flavored teas brewed. We are relocating out of state shortly and there are no MOD locations where we are headed! Booo!
