Truly the best! I've been going to see James every 6 weeks since August last year and have noticed a huge difference in my skin. My skin feels rejuvenated after each hydrafacial session. James is very friendly and professional and knows what he is doing with the hydra facial machine. This was the only spa that I found that I felt had strict Covid precautions in place. When I met him he was incredibly chipper, friendly, and a delight to chitchat with. He went over the list of services with me, showed me the equipment and rooms used, and invited me in warmly to get a glimpse of the hydrafacial treatment. I was taken back by his friendly and professional demeanor and high attention to detail. He asked about my previous skin care regime and experience with treatments and made me feel comfortable and excited to book my first treatment. Booking is very easy and James is incredibly efficient and organized, quick to reply and very clear and informative when relaying messages. My initial services with him went incredibly well. He made sure I felt comfortable and relaxed and described the process for me step-by-step, while describing the products used and how they will impact my experience based on my skin type. Everything went smoothly and he was kind and thoughtful to ask about my music choice during the treatment, and even offered small pockets of skin care education while getting to know more about me. Shortly after my treatment was complete we were able to arrange a date for my next visit and this time he created a brief overview of options for ongoing treatment. As I am scheduled to wed in August, James reviewed an outline for me to help sustain the quality of my skin before the big day. In addition to booking additional services, he kindly offered to host a day-long service for my bridal party who have also shown interest in his services. My cousin helped coordinate the big day and James and his staff (Justin, Andrea, and Mari) took amazing care of our group on a Saturday filled with merriment and relaxation. James and I were in communication for several weeks, planning out the big day of celebration to commemorate my birthday and wedding. He was on top of all the details and even provided us with a group discount for massages and hydrafacials to accommodate our large party. James gave us a huge window to work with and provided us with two massage therapists and a second technician (Justin) to work on back-to-back services among TWELVE girls between 8am and 3pm. Each of us received a combination of treatments. James was incredibly flexible throughout the planning process. He even suggested the option for catering services while we spent the afternoon together...and we did just that. We enjoyed pastries and mimosas throughout the morning and our lunch promptly arrived at noon. We had a lovely experience from start to finish. The ladies all met with their technicians/therapists in a timely manner and were each pleased with the quality and attention provided to them. Hi I was a bit nervous as usually when someone does extractions from my nostrils they hold one corner down to keep skin taut instead of just going at it ( I'm extra sensitive about that since I'm scared of more broken capillaries !) but it turned out well , as some spots are really clean. next time I'll ask for a bit more product and care around my t zone( don't know if there's any rules vs getting close to the lips, though). If you're looking for a good facial around the Peninsula, Moda is the best! I've been seeing James for hydrafacials since last year to address large pores and congested skin around my T-zone. I haven't gotten a facial in over 3 months and my skin desperately needed it. I went in last week and met Patricia for the first time. Now, I've only worked with James and he has set the bar pretty high so needless to say, there was high expectations. Patricia did a fantastic job with my facial. We had a lovely chat during the facial and she gave me some great advice on the products I was using and suggestions on what to use instead. She also recommended an exfoliant and serum to try and while I rarely purchase products from salons I decided to give it a shot because Patricia was so knowledgeable. It's been almost a week since my facial and starting the new skincare routine she recommended and my face is glowing! The products I tried were Dermalogica's rice powder daily exfoliant and PCA's hydrating serum. I'm loving them so far! I'm writing an updated review for the new MODA location in Burlingame. I had a hydro-facial experience with Laxmi yesterday and WOW, my skin felt so clean and smooth afterward. Not to mention the relaxing music, refreshing air quality, dim lighting and the way Laxmi was able to transition from skin treatments while gently massaging my face. She checked in to see how the treatments felt throughout. She used a warm compress to relax and clean my skin. I was in heaven! MODA uses the best products and has the latest equipment. It's been a signature since they won a design award for their Redwood City salon.
