Heard about the Hydrafacial and finally scheduled one for myself. I was really looking forward to this type of facial as it hydrates your skin and good Lord, everyone needs a hydrated face, even if you're oily, which I am. Turns out, according to James, my skin is combination. Even though I'm oily, my skin was dehydrated and congested. So of course, I'm excited to see how my skin was going to be afterwards. The whole time, James was gentle and explained every thing he put on my skin. My favorite part are the masks that he paints on with the brush and the Hydrofacial suctions. I literally can feel moisture being infused into my hungry ass skin. Due to my aggressive and impatient nature, I truthfully would have preferred a more assertive touch when he was cleaning my face, but I let him do him do his thing and my skin was shining from the glow and not the oil. I have been a very happy client at Moda for two years, so when I found out that they were offering spa services now, I was excited to try the hydra facial. Not only did I appreciate the quickness of it (45 min max.), but I also valued the result. The facial itself takes some getting used to (it's like getting a thousand kisses), but it is never uncomfortable, unlike a regular facial, where extractions can be quite painful. Agnieszka is a fantastic esthetician and very likable. With the help of the machine, she was able to make my skin feel amazing. I have been able to go out without makeup because I feel less conscious about my skin. Even days after, my friends commented on my glow! Wow!! I booked my appointment for my first ever HydraFacial with Laxmi. The results of my skin complexion definitely surprise and exceeded my expectations. Laxmi did a fantastic job and my skin was left glowing and radiant. It is very difficult to trust just anyone when it comes to handling your skin but I made the right choice by attending this spa. This is a new facial/wax place at burlingame downtown, they are having $145(originally $199) special for hydrafacial treatment so I think I should give it a try. Maybe because it's new, they don't have any table/desk at the front desk, also their treatment has no place to store the clothes/bags when you are in treatment, I had to put my belongings on the floor, which was a negative experience. The main reason for the 2 star review is because of the facial, their website and my previous experience told me the hydrafacial treatment should take 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, but the facial I had at Moda was only about 20 minutes!!! There was no massage, no LED light treatment or any mask during the facial. I asked them why it took such a short time, they said that's how it is..... never mind, will never go back again. read more

Best Spa in Burlingame. LOVE this place - it is so clean and beautifully furnished. I did a facial and went back for bikini sugaring. Usually, I do waxing, but this time I tried sugaring with Juliette. She made me feel comfortable right away. My skin has never felt this smooth. Had an awesome hydrafacial here at MODA- Justin did a fantastic job! Super relaxing, I am now about 3 days after the facial and my skin is so cleared up. I came in with a lot of acne on my forehead and he did the LED blue light on my face during the facial and it totally calmed down the acne!! My skin already looks so much better. Love the hydrafacial technique in cleaning skin, without doing traditional facials of extractions which always lead to scaring.
