These cookies stole the show at our recent magazine launch event. They came out much better than expected and size of the cookies were very nice. The packaging and the box they came in were quite sturdy, I dropped a box and not one broken cookie. We had nothing but rave reviews all through out the night. Our executives loved the look and the taste was great as well. Really appreciated how they went above and beyond to send a sample, asked me about the fonts & lettering, really appreciated the detail. There was a small hiccup w the pick up date but nothing that they didn't remedy right away. The only thing I could ask for is maybe a vegetarian/vegan option in the future but all said and done, these cookies were just perfect! Thank you Modern Bite!

The cookies were fabulous! I bought them to celebrate friend and author Ann Suk Wang. Her debut book, The House Before Falling into the Sea, is a very touching story from her mom's childhood, when their family gave refuge to scores of people who were fleeing from North Korea's military. The beautiful illustrations by Hanna Cha bring to life the memories of how Ann's mom learned to open her young heart to those in need. ModernBite created a perfect cookie with the sweetest image from Ann's book. They allowed me to pick up on a Saturday just before Ann read her book at Vroman's. The cookies were each individually wrapped and packed precisely in a box to keep them safe. I was thrilled that the order could be fulfilled with short notice and that they came out exactly how I imagined! So many possibilities with this company -- highly recommend! They will pack the cookies with bubble wrap and ship nationwide.

I order 50 cookies for my mom's birthday and I received beautifully made cookies that tasted wonderful! The packaging was done so nice and neatly! I was also extremely impressed by how accommodating they were with getting my order to me on time. I ordered online but spoke to them on the phone to confirm exact pick up. The person I spoke to got back to me quickly and she was so kind and helpful! The cookies were a hit and my mom got very emotional. Definitely worth every penny! read more

Wow, this place really impressed me with some ideal creation of making a statement out of cookies. Cookies are delicous and tastey in a different way. This place has been phenomenal. We were hosting a baby shower on Saturday. I got an email from Incredible Cookie, where I had placed an order 1 week prior with expedited shipping, on Friday morning, informing me they were unable to deliver 'due to unforeseen circumstances.' I called this place, they returned my call within 2 minutes. I explained the situation, sent a pic of the product requested, and they said they could do it! They would have them ready by Saturday, however, they text me same day with pic of cookies informing me they were ready! 40 customized cookies ready in same day! they tried and were fast but the phone service was terrible. and the proof was just the same. Hopefully the finished product is better but whoever answered the phone knew nothing about anything and really didnt care to do any more. I feel bad writing this as I know she probably thought she was amazing but I also think the owners would like to know why I would not place an order. When I ordered, I wasn't asked about my preferred sweetness level, nor was I told there were different options available. When I went back inside to ask if it could be remade, the original employee wasn't there. The employee who helped me seemed inconvenienced by my request and responded by saying, "Well, you have to tell them," even though I had no idea sweetness levels were customizable. Her body language and tone made me feel like I was asking for something unreasonable before she finally agreed to remake it. The replacement coffee was much better, but the interaction unfortunately took away from what could have been a great first impression. The bakery itself is clean, and the food has potential, but customer service is just as important as the product. Based on my overall experience, I don't see myself returning.

Do you have any sense?! Anyway, turns out that person was upset that their order got canceled on DoorDash. If that person ever saw the line at Lou's, she'd understand why. As for ALL of the items at Lou's "Oh, aimé-je" it does NOT get any better. The croissants are hands down the best in America. The sandwiches (all of them): finger-licking good. The éclairs are the most delectable in town, as are the other pastries. And with ALL of that, somehow the best thing is still the customer service. I have yet to walk in there without seeing Lou personally chatting it up with customers, the man is everywhere. On sunny and rainy days he's passing out umbrellas, and on Mother's Day he's handing out wonderful gifts for all the ladies. The staff take their lead from him and are every bit as splendid. If you haven't tried it yet, it's not too late -- run, don't walk, this weekend. Your taste buds will file a formal complaint if you don't.

We had wanted some croissants and apple tarts but unfortunately they had run out of the Apple tarts by the time we ordered (another excuse to return next time). We were convinced by the nice lady at the register to pick up not one but two almond croissants because they were fresh out of the oven and I'm SO GLAD we did. It was still hot/warm when we took our first bite after walking back to our car -- flaky amazing lamination with a steaming frangipane filling, for sure the best almost croissant I've had. The regular croissant was also good but not fresh/warm like the almond croissant so it left less of an impression but I can imagine it also tasting amazing if we got it fresh. Burbank is not necessarily close to where I live but I'm so glad we happened to stop by to finally try this spot out! I'd love to try the sandwiches and tarts next time!

Also, if you ever have to go to the urgent care off Pass Avenue, one silver lining is that Handel's is *literally* right next-door to the urgent care! Or if you have a child who needs some bribing or a post-appointment reward, Handel's can handle that for you! Parking is plentiful, but keep in mind that there is a Starbucks and a 24-hour Vons in the same parking lot, so certain times of day will be busier than others, and some people are bad at heeding the one-way arrows down most of the rows. Best bakery in Burbank area. A great selection of freshly made customized cookies, and cakes. My favorites are Rhoda Collections and the Rufus Collection cookies. Anything you get here is delicious.
