I rarely give negative reviews but I really had a bad experience at this place. For starters, I was not greeted like a customer. I felt like they didn't need my business and I wasn't in their "clique". Honestly, I could do this myself but sometimes I want to be pampered! They recommended the gel so I said OK. I don't think she prepped my nails properly and she seemed in a rush. No surprise that it started peeling off the very next day! I have been trying to redeem a gift card that I received for four years now. The first time I went in with an appointment and went to pay, they couldn't find the gift card in the system because they had recently changed to a new system. I had to pay cash for the manicure and was told I needed to speak to the owner, Georgene, about the gift card. I did speak to Georgene around that time and she stated that I can come in and receive cash for the card. I went back to the salon and the manager on duty didn't have authority to give me the cash and still did not have the means to look up my gift card. I left my name and number for Georgene to contact me. She didn't. Long story short, I've been carrying around this gift card ever since. Every once in a while I will visit the salon and try again. Inevitably I am told the same exact thing. Manager can't help and Georgene will contact me. A few months ago I happened to be getting a notary with my husband at Postal Annex and asked him to try to redeem the gift card with me. We were told they have no authority and to contact the owner. My husband contacted Georgene and she told him that she wouldn't redeem the money, but I could have a credit at the salon for $30. Comical! Something tells me that the person on duty wouldn't be able to honor that and I'd have to pay out of pocket again and contact the owner. At this point it's just the principle of the matter. Georgene pocketed $30 and doesn't really care. Disgusting customer service. read more

I really like how all the seats are in thiet item booths and elevated. The staff is very friendly and engaging. They have great colors to pick from. I only got the express pedicure for $25, but everything else is pricier but liiks line it would be worth it. They offer complimentary drinks , wifi, and neck wraps. I really liked the vibe here! Awesome place, nicely decorated with modern and Art Deco pieces. The splash of teals, grays and whites gives the feeling of a chic, upscale yet serene environment. I originally had an appt. w/Holly but she was a bit backed up so the owner offered to have another manicurist (Shay) do my nails. Shay was so great- very professional, took her time and created a cool design on my nails and left them looking stunning! Walked in and asked the lady sitting at the first station how much a nail polish change cost. Her reply was " I think $7 or $10". I said so is it $7 or $10". Her reply was "it's $10". ShayLynn is wonderful! Salon is clean and various service options are excellent. Worth a little extra cash for the pampering.

First, the salon is beautiful and they do make an effort to make you feel relaxed by offering a warm neck wrap and cold drink upon getting seated. However, I found the seating to be uncomfortable. It looks clean and modern, but after 20 minutes I felt cramped. I made an appointment for a $40 classic mani/pedi that said it would last 55 minutes. Immediately I felt like I was being up sold to a different package with scrubs or the special of the day. I repeated myself that I just wanted a classic pedicure, but the manicurist then said "let's just go with the special. it's a little cheaper than our full packages" offensive! During my pedicure she gossiped about women that come in the morning for a pedicure and ask for a glass of wine, but mentioned she had "no judgement"! She cut me so bad on the side of my foot with a callus file while listening to the ladies next to us and smiled when she apologized. At this point I was far from relaxed, had been at the salon for 50 minutes, and hadn't even started my manicure. The manicure took just as long, so I was there for over 2 hours! I regretfully asked for nail art on my ring finger. It took her over 20 minutes to do a few polka dots on two fingers and really didn't look clean. Some were huge, some were tiny. She tried to fix them, but I should have waited and done the art myself. Somehow I left the place spending over $60 for some scrub, lotion, and a bad paint job. The owner gave me a 10% discount for it being my first time, but it really didn't make up for the uncomfortable experience. The cut on my toe is still painful 3 days later and my nail polish chipped the next day. read more

It's honestly such a relief to have a clean nail salon in the area! As soon as I walked in I could tell this salon wasn't like any other in the area. Nikki did an excellent job on my fill. Honestly so good I've realized I've been settling with subpar fills this whole time. While I was getting my nails done the owner was in and she took the time to talk to me which you don't see too often. When I did check out I did think the price for a fill was a little much, but now thinking about it with that good of service I don't mind. read more

I recently moved back to NP and was so thrilled to find that a nail spa had opened up in the Trader Joe's shopping center - so close to where I live!! I popped in an hour before they closed and was warmly greeted by the manager, Candis. Usually when you show up an hour before a nail salon closes, you can tell you really aren't wanted. However, Candis really took her time to explain the services they offer and gave one of the best pedicures I've ever received! I don't know if anyone else gets like this but I'm always super overwhelmed by how many nail polish colors are offered. But here, another employee took the time to narrow down my options and recommended a color I absolutely love! The decor of the nail salon was on point! So adorable and classy. I loved their chairs, I felt like I was sitting in a thrown and the flower petals in the foot bath was the perfect touch. 100% going back to see Candis!! read more

Nice surroundings, very clean and friendly staff. But and this is a very big BUT (no pun intended) the seats are unbelievably uncomfortable. Straight back with only a cushion to help brace your back, I was almost in agony by the time the pedicure was over. Sorry to say, because otherwise I'd go back in a minute, but next time, back to a salon that has the vibrating chairs, or at least something to sit on where your back gets support and you don't feel like you're being tortured. I think they sacrificed comfort for trendiness...and not in a place that you, the customer, will find acceptable. If you didn't have back problems when you go there, you will when you leave, sorry to say. read more

Anyways, this place is modern looking and very clean. I got a gel manicure and a regular pedicure - both done in 1 hour which is amazing. Everyone was nice, fun atmosphere. I've been to Polish'd twice now, and I don't think I will go back. There are some things they do right - it's nice to be offered wine or a cold water and the plastic basins are sanitary. Unfortunately, the seating is uncomfortable for me and pedicures feel cramped. My pedicures were both fine and comparable to others I've had. Today, I was extremely disheartened by a conversation amongst some of the employees (and some customers) that included some very negative and bigoted comments - both about other salons in the area and potential employees. I'd rather stay away from that kind of atmosphere. (I should point out that the lady who did my pedicure did a fine job and did not participate in the uncomfortable conversation.) read more

This very much depends on what you are looking for. There is no doubt that this place is nice. This not your place for a quick and inexpensive nail job. This is a higher end experience. That being said...I have been going to my same spot with the same few nail technicians for years now. I prefer a perfectly executed mani pedi with a strong massage rather than a mediocre job at a some what fancy spot. The cost is out of range for this location 100%. I don't see much value here. It's obvious that they put a lot of effort into the interior but that doesn't necessarily make for satisfied customers. read more

I used to go here all the time to get hard gels. My biggest issue here was actually with my first visit ( I had continued to go after because I loved my nail artist) I had gotten a pedicure and a full set of hard gels, I had a great time and the whole experience was pleasant I paid left as good a tip as I could afford and left. The next time I go in I was informed they forgot to charge me for one of the treatments at the end of my mani pedi and were going to charge an additional $60 to make up for the error. When is it good business practice to charge someone for an error at the register? I also don't see how after a month they would remember if it was my service that wasn't charged or someone else's. After that I stopped getting pedicures there and left when the nail artist I liked did as well. I easily spend $200 each time I went there but could never forget being told I had to pay more because they forgot to charge me once. I'm also not too certain they hadn't charged me correctly the first time. They didn't ask if I was comfortable paying the additional $60 they just did it and they didn't apologize for the mixup either. What would have happened if I hadn't had the money for the extra fee, I definitely wouldn't have been able to tip the people who did such wonderful work on my nails. I still avoid the place if I can simply because of how terrible the customer service was that second trip in. It doesn't matter how great the services are if you embarrass the customers or make errors in POS. read more

I wanted a classic mani pedi to kick off my Christmas vacation, and Polish'd delivered!! Mari was so nice, and really made me feel pampered. She is detail oriented and did not rush through my services. My nails were perfect when I left, and they are still perfect one week later! Thank you, Mari!! Bonus details that made the experience nice include the fact that the place is really pretty and clean, Mari offered me a beverage, she gave me a warm neck wrap while my feet were soaking, and the foot tub had rose petals floating in it. What an excellent nail salon in the Thousand Oaks area! I've never had such a pleasant experience at a nail salon before. The salon itself is gorgeous, with unique pedicure chairs that are almost like small couches with individual basins to soak your feet in. It is spotlessly clean and also doesn't smell like chemicals, which is what you experience when walking into most salons. I was greeted by Georgene, who was incredibly sweet and friendly. My beautiful pedicure and gel manicure was done by Shaylynn, who was also very easy to talk to and extremely talented. She was able to do a hard, buildable gel on some of my shorter nails to make the lengths of my nails look consistent. The salon is a little pricy, but the quality you receive is wonderful. I am so pleased with my nails, which I was getting done for my honeymoon the next day. Thank you for a great experience! read more

This places Is close to my house so I always walk by when I'm at the shopping center. Recently I had a busy day preparing for an event I was attending that night. In the late afternoon, I was rushing to try & squeeze In a quick-fix coat on one of my nails that had lost its polish. So I had one nail without any color, and I really didn't wanna go to this event with one unpolished nail. I didn't have time to get a new manicure & my usual nail lady couldn't squeeze me In early enough to fix my nail so I walked into Polish'd after I ran into CVS. Immediately, I noticed how Clean, Organized, Professional and Comfortable the environment was. Such a cute setup! I showed the girl at the front desk what I needed, so she grabbed Kristin. Kristin found the exact match of the Gel Nail polish I had on the rest of my nails. They only charged me $5 to fix it. Even though I was charged for one nail, Kristin did a great job & the experience was so nice. I've also seen all the different styles of designs they do with their manis/pedis, they literally do everything & do the best possible job. I would be a regular here, but I unfortunately can't afford it. I pay the absolute cheapest amount for my manicures & go whenever I can afford it. But you get what you pay for and I pay for a decent job. This place is worth it if you are looking for the best possible experience, quality, service and environment. I highly recommend Kristin & Polish'd. The CVS parking lot is a plus too, even though it gets busy, parking is not an issue here and neither is anything else. When I can afford it, I'll be very happy to call this my nail spot & referring others who compliment on the quality of my (future) manicures! I visited this salon a month ago and it came on a day where I had received some bad news. Keith the owner totally made made day better/special and my experience there was not forgotten! I'm confused by some of the negative reviews. This is my fourth time at this salon and I think it's great. The prices are more expensive than you'll find at some of the more traditional nail salons we've become accustomed to but it's your choice as to whether you want to continue coming or not. I personally love the vibe and hospitality and will keep coming back for my brow waxes. People, please keep reviews objective. Like one reviewer said, give them a chance to iron out the kinks.
