    BBQ Chicken Bowl
    Desiree R.

This place is now one of my favorites! We stopped by here for a quick bite after visiting REI and I was so impressed. As a gluten free gal, it is hard to find places that cater to you and you know you don't need to worry. I LOVE that they label all of their foods as to what is GF and DF. I got the BBQ chicken bowl and it was SO GOOD. I look forward to going back and trying more. The staff was incredibly nice and didn't make me feel rushed in my decision at all. I also really enjoyed the look of the place and how comfortable it felt. Definitely recommend!!

Lately, I have really enjoyed these places where you can enjoy a bowl with rice or salad with lots of healthy ingredients; you just feel great after eating the meal! This place was no different. I tried one of the bowls with shrimp and squash. It was delicious! All the different toppings complemented each other. One cherry on top would have been some sort of sauce/dressing. Will definitely try some of their other salads/bowls!!

I needed to have a lunch alone around Southlake area. So I searched on Yelp and decided to go this place. Very impressive that their Lox Salmon bowl has very thick and big smoked salmon slices which makes your tummy full and happy. All counters and tables are clean and well maintained.

Love love love the choice of "non deep fried aka brown food" that this places offers. Their salad bowls are amazing - pizzas not so much. We normally come during the busy lunch time slot and have always been amazed with the taste and presentation of the food. Yesterday we went during the slow time between lunch and dinner and I was a little disappointed with my Thai salad. The fresh ingredients were a little limp and the chicken portion was on the small side. I will probably not order the pizza again (my kid was adamant that he wanted it tho!)

A highly explorable menu, strong service and a plethora of health-minded options make Modern Market Eatery an easy pick for our dietary restrictions and for an overall enjoyable. Looking for something that satisfied my Keto plan and her dairy and beef allergies, we tried this place on a whim while shopping in Southlake. It's located in the Town Center, which I find tedious because of the difficult parking and the fact it just feels over-produced, like they are trying too hard. The dining room has a large wall in the center of it with a painted sign at one end saying "The line starts over here". We sauntered up like newbs to study the menu and had lots of questions for the girl behind the counter who answered them all knowledgably. We settled on a whole Pepe pizza on cauliflower crust, the Keto Smoked Salmon Bowl with a bowl of Green Chicken Chili. The pizza was delicious, though the crust was extremely thin. Still, it was plenty filling. The chili was also very savory. The salmon bowl featured uncooked salmon and a load of fresh ingredients but was a little lacking in flavor. Worth a mention is some extraordinary ranch I used to dip the pizza bones. It had a fresh sour cream and dill flavor. I actually brought some home. The only thing keeping Modern Market from a fifth star was the dining room, which needed a sweep and wipe down. The design of it felt confining in a few places as well. Two single unisex bathrooms are provided. Overall great experience. Will repeat!

    Modern Toast

When I saw the writing on the wall, I had a feeling ordering just the waffle would not be enough. I ended up getting the Modern Toast in addition to the Pearl Sugar Waffle. I decided to try the Modern Toast first, an egg-free avocado toast with a slight kick. I never had a spicy avocado toast. The combination of the togarashi and the green onions provided plenty of flavor and hint of heat to what could have been an ordinary avocado toast. With a few exceptions, I usually have syrup with my waffles. So having blueberry chia jam on my waffle was an interesting twist. It was as if I was having toast with jam. The waffle was light and fluffy enough to not require a knife. The toast and waffle was just enough food for a late morning breakfast. If I could have added an egg to the avocado toast, it might have been too much. Although I was disappointed with the lack of the usual coffee sweeteners (only raw sugar and Truvia were available), their creamer (not the stuff labeled almond milk) combined with the raw sugar did not make the coffee taste too weird.

    Farmer 2.0 half salad

I love a good healthy spot, and modern market is one of the best. They've got a variety of options to choose like salads, sammies, and plates. I opted for their summer special, the Farmers 2.0 salad (half size). The greens were topped with perfectly cooked chicken, strawberries, corn, goat cheese, watermelon radishes, and a delicious mustard vinaigrette. They offer full or half portions, and their half sizes are pretty generous. I tried a bite of the coconut curry salmon dish and it was also delicious. I would definitely come back here to try their other dishes!

Pros -Lots of healthy/food sensitivity options -Build your own bowls and half sandwich options -Homemade drinks and alcoholic beverages -Big open interior and outdoor seating -Good tasting food Cons -My Mac and cheese and chicken came out cold -Slightly more expensive then similar restaurants -Limited menu This is a healthy Jason's Deli/Panera with less options. I got the herb marinated chicken with Mac and cheese and a mixed green salad. The chicken was cooked great and tasted amazing but it and the Mac was cold when it came out. The cold food and limited menu is what put this at 3 stars but I encourage people to try this place out. I will certainly give it another chance due to the great tasting food.

    Street corn pizza
    Daniel J.

Had a quick break for lunch today and just happened to be in the plaza, so I tried this out. Honestly one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time! I ordered the street corn pizza, and I'm (not really) embarrassed to say I ate the entire thing by myself in about 10 mins. If I lived nearby, this would become a frequent lunch spot. Staff was also friendly and my pizza came out fast!

    Tammie G.

Came here specifically for a friend who has some dietary restrictions and it is a great place for that Lots of options for him and and the prices are reasonable and the food is fresh. You order at the counter and they bring out to you. They have wine and a few beers as well. I had the Blt and it was very good and I added a small salad on the side. I also had a glass of red wine for 3.00! I have a few issues - no coffee after breakfast(I will never agree with this) - no paper menus so you have to stand and look at the menu at counter so I took a pic of it so I could sit and decide at the table and not hold up the line Aside for that this is a good place for a healthy affordable meal especially if you have diet resteixtion

    Smoky Chicken Bowl
    Melissa L.

Delicious healthy place. Ordered on DoorDash for pickup. Got the smoky chicken bowl which had such delicious flavors! The sweet tomatoes, the tasty quinoa, the avocado green sauce, the cream on top and crunch from the red cabbage. Such great combo. My only hesitation about this order was the chicken was really overcooked/dry. The grass fed bowl with sides: fire roasted veggies and rosemary sweet potato mash was also tasty. The chimichurri sauce could use some salt.

Half salad & Half BBQ Pizza
    Erika C.

A nice spot to have a quick healthy lunch! A nice variety of salads to choose from. I got a half & half and the BBQ chicken pizza was surprisingly really good! Wish I would've gotten a whole one! Salad was great as well. If you're looking for something light & flavorful, give them a try!

Our server, Macy, made some excellent recommendations, and everything we tried was delicious. The chicken and waffles were a highlight--the chicken was lightly breaded, beautifully seasoned, and perfectly cooked. The pancakes were incredibly fluffy, and the waffles were delicious too. What really made this place stand out, though, was the exceptional attentiveness from the entire team. It wasn't just Macy; staff members regularly came by to refill our water, add ice, and refresh our cold-brewed tea. The manager herself stopped by several times to make sure our drinks were topped up and that everything was going well. That level of genuine care makes such a difference. It's the kind of service that makes you want to come back again and again and eventually make a place your local favorite. After noon, you can expect the crowd to significantly increase and it will become busy. We ran into that, towards the end of our visit. With the increase in traffic, it was nice to be tended by more than one waiter. I didn't think about it then, but I would have loved to tip the second person, as well. When going to Postino's, I always try to get something new and they never fail to impress. Drink: The Mockingbird (Mocktail) - bright pineapple, a touch of Italian orange, and toasted almond bitters. This was very good and is something I'd get again. The Board: Brie, Apple & Fig Spread - this is a repeat for me, I absolutely love it. The apples are always fresh, crisp, and juicy. This is so perfect! Prosciutto Di Parma, Fig & Mascarpone - another repeat, I can't go to Postino's without having this on my board. Mushroom & Mascarpone - If you're a lover of mushrooms, you'll enjoy these little bites. I did notice, we did not get the green onions this time around and I was okay with that. They were removed, due to the current outbreak. Great thinking, Postino's! Salami & Pesto - This always closes the board for me, I love this combination. Although, I will add, I think a different type of salami would work best with this combination. West Coaster Panini - (Smoked ham, smashed avocado, arugula, roasted garlic aioli, pickled red onion, Calabrian chili, feta cheese. For my side, I chose the tomato soup, my goodness, was it good. I must say, it is the best tomato soup, I've ever had. It was creamy, packed with flavor, and complimented my panini so well. Also, they add cheese tortellinis to the soup as well. So, good! This was very delicious, the ham stood out and wasn't muted. However, I think I will get another bread next time. I chose the focaccia, it was a bit too much bread for that particular sandwich. I will admit, it doesn't beat their prosciutto and brie panini; that sandwich is divine. Hot Donut Dots - (House made ricotta donut holes with salted butter chocolate, caramel and vanilla glaze dipping sauces.) These are superb and packs a lot in one bite. The cream in the middle is so smooth and full of flavor, but is very heavy. I'm not a cookies and milk person, but this dessert craves a tall glass of milk. They were hot, fresh, and I appreciate the fact that even when fried, they were not swimming in grease. The vanilla dipping sauce was my go-to, of the three sauces. They did well with this dessert, it hit all of the bases. Postino's is a great place to visit with friends, a date, or even as a solo-day/night out. They are one of my top 5 restaurants and I don't see that changing, ever!

We've driven past Craftway Kitchen more than a few times, always intrigued with a 'we have to try that place sometime'. Saturday night was sometime. Taking our chances as a party of three walk in's, the restaurant was full inside, and there were a few tables open on the patio. I generally don't like to eat on patios, because flies show up, etc. Not at Craftway... not sure what they were doing, but there wasn't a fly or other flying bug around. The patio wasn't just clean, it was meticulous. Welcoming too - It felt very much like an extension of the restaurant. Alex, our waiter was quick to bring water and menus. Returning to take drink orders, a margarita was ordered as was a glass of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc. Drinks were quickly served. Water was never allowed to become empty. Alex asked if we had ever been to Craftway, we informed him this was our first visit. His ask "any allergies?" to which we said no. He disappeared, returning with an appetizer sampling plate with three items - the Reuben egg rolls, crab stuffed mushrooms, and blue cheese chips. All were fantastic! Three entrees ordered, the Chicken & Fig sandwich, Chicken Milanese and the Cajun pasta with Chicken. Food arrived; each entree was fantastic. Cooked to perfection, flavors were amazing. Dessert, shared, was a bread pudding with ice cream, a perfect finish. Alex never let beverages become empty, delivered superb service. The Chef circulated the room checking on satisfaction and chatting with patrons. Giving Craftway Kitchen a very well deserved 5-star rating. The staff did everything right! Most of the starers are mouthwatering, even the unexpected Ruben Eggrolls are a delight. Less daring items like the coconut shrimp are equally good. Without a doubt my go to entree is the Beef Wellington. I remember La Madeleine had an affordable one on their menu in the late nineties, this is reminiscent. I do usually swap out the mashed potatoes for the chopped wedge as side, just seems like the classical steakhouse side for the task. The only thing I would say that is lacking is the wine list, despite being very fairly priced. Their most bespoke bottle of red is the Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon (2021), which while amazing for the $99.99 they charged, it was fairly flat, lacking the traditional vanilla perfume you'd expect from a pricey California Cabernet Sauvignon. Also took a bottle of GH Mumm Grand Cordon, which also did not taste as anticipated. I think the most plausible explanation might be heat damage, as both wines are usually well regarded but came up short.
