    Pizza coming' in H.O.T.
    Lance L.

In my lifetime, I've only come across 3 different guys named Moe. One was a comedian. One was a bartender. And on my most recent trip to Paso Robles... The newest Moe, was a Pizza Maker! Yes, I'm talking about Moe from the 3 stooges, Moe, the fictional cartoon character from the Simpsons who is the grumpy bartender of Moe's Tavern and now, my new favorite Moe.... The Owner and Founder of: Moe's Pizza in Paso Robles. While one of these Moe's will certainly make you laugh... The other Moe is just simpler to laugh at.... (Thanks to Bart Simpson and his prank calls) But.... The final Moe, probably my new favorite, is all about making you smile with a simple little trick... Pizza!!!! Yes, when on vacation, sitting in your hotel room and debating if going back out with 3 kids for dinner after a long day exploring the area sounds like a good idea.... Suddenly, getting Pizza sounded so much easier, and a heck of a lot cheaper. So my wife jumped on Yelp, found Moe's Pizza, placed our order online and off I went to grab us a Pie. Yeah, a little Pepperoni, a dash of pineapple and a whole handful of Parmesan cheese packets, and before we knew it, I was back in the room handing slices out, watching a little Netflix and Chillen in the comfort of our hotel room. A little Netflix & Chill action at its finest! The pizza itself was pretty tasty; Moe's definitely doesn't skimp on the pepperoni or the pineapple for that matter, and the cheese, the sauce & the crust absolutely matched the vibe that the 2 main stars of the show were puttin' down. Had I done a little more research on this place prior to heading over and if I wasn't with my wife and kids, who ALWAYS just get pepperoni and pineapple, I probably would have opted for one of their Specialty Pies that actually sound pretty good and are different than I've ever seen before.... Maybe, Next time. Yeah, Specialty Pies such as their: Mo's Special: crispy chicken, ranch, Canadian bacon, mozzarella AND actual BACON!! Tell me that doesn't sound BOMB.com Also, if you are feeling a little Pizza from the East (and I'm not talking the East Coast)... Check out their Shawarma & Gyro Pizza! Their Pizza's do come in multiple sizes so no matter the size you need.... Moe's has you covered! 16" 14" 12" 10" And if you just need a taste, they sell by the Slice! Of course they offer other goodies to complement that pie, so don't be shy! Salads, cheesy bread, mozzarella sticks, buffalo wings, pasta, and a few different desserts including Baklava just to name a few! Now..... Turn off the 3 Stooges on Tubi, stop prank calling Moe's Tavern trying to impersonate Bart Simpson and get you little buns over to Moe's Pizza in Paso Robles and order that MO's Special and report back to me ASAP!!! And in the words of my guy Notorious B.I.G who reps the East, and definitely loved him some pizza... "Mo Money....Mo Problems"

Almost forgot the take picture of the Chicken pizza by the slice. Yummy

Gentlemen here is always nice. It's a small place, more for takeout but there are a few tables. I have been here a couple of times for the pizza by the slice. Always good and always seems fresh. I also love the fact they have chicken pizza by the slice. Will return for sure.

I can't comment on the ambiance, as we were staying at a nearby (in city limits) campground and ordered delivery. But being in the mood for some pizza, I looked on the web and found Moe's web site, https://pizzamoes.hungerrush.com/Order/OrderType , and fired off an order for a pizza with mushrooms, olives, pepperoni and extra sauce. I was given an estimated delivery time, and BEHOLD, the pie actually showed up on-time at our local (Paso) campsite! I could tell immediately the pizza was gonna be good, as the box had some weight to it. Sure, enough I was rewarded with a heartily topped pie, with decent-good quality ingredients. The next time we're in-town, Moe's will be my go-to when I crave another Paso pie, as it reminded me of the hefty, but soft & tasty crust, heavy topped pizza-pies I used to enjoy as a kid living in Kansas City.

Moe's pizza is usually on point. Tonight ours got forgotten in the oven I suppose as it was well done crispy tonight. Love the toppings Moe's uses. Always generous with the cheese.

Moe's has very good pizza. But I love the gyro salad. The flavor of the meat is delicious. It's very tender and moist. It had feta cheese and tomatoes on it. The dressing is very good too! I highly recommend this salad. He has others that are very good too.

We got the 24" & it was a Huge pizza! We did BYO half and half with sausage and pepperoni one half and the other with ham and bell peppers. Worth it!

Our server, Danny, truly made the evening special. He was welcoming, friendly, attentive, and had such positive energy throughout the night. We had our little ones with us, and he was incredibly accommodating and patient, making sure everyone at the table felt taken care of. It's rare to find service that feels so genuine, and Danny absolutely knocked it out of the park. The food was phenomenal from start to finish. We started with the bone marrow appetizer and turned it into a luge--which was such a fun experience! We also ordered a basket of fries with the goat cheese ranch for the kids, and even those were amazing. For our entrées, we had the Pork Chop Milanese, the Wagyu steak, and the Etto Truffle Pasta. Every single dish was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. It's hard to pick a favorite because they were all outstanding. The cocktails deserve a special mention because they were an experience all on their own. We ordered the whiskey-forward cocktails, with one arriving in a smoke-filled box and the other presented in a lit, smoke-filled chest. The presentation was theatrical, creative, and so much fun while still delivering incredible flavor. To top it all off, Danny surprised us with sparkling wine to celebrate my husband's birthday, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. From the exceptional service to the unforgettable food, creative cocktails, and warm hospitality, this was one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. Thank you, Danny, and the entire Alchemists' Garden team, for helping make my husband's birthday so special. We can't wait to come back!

So I took them up on their and went to Etto and spoke to Mark Leduc, one of the owners about my experience. He apologized my bad experience and offered me a refund of my bill but also asked me to return so that they could make it right. After discussing the offer with my wife we decided to return and give Etto another chance. I called Mr. Leduc and made a reservation for the day after Father's Day, hoping to avoid the crowds. When we arrived the place was packed but we were seated promptly at our Reserved table and almost immediately greeted by our server Ellen who promptly told us about the specials and took our drink orders. Ellen returned promptly and asked if we had any questions. My wife mentioned she would like to order the chicken fried pork chop served with a lemon-arugula/olive oil sauce but that she was allergic to lemons. Ellen said they could eliminate the lemon from the sauce which my wife agreed to. I ordered the Cioppino which came in servings for 1 or 2. I ordered the serving for 1 and imagine my surprise when it came in a large bowl which could easily feed 2. I was assured by Ellen that this was the 'small' service for 1. We also ordered the sausage, peppers and onion appetizer. All the dishes were delicious and we even had leftovers to bring home. Finally, our server Ellen and the manager (Scott?) urged us to try a dessert from their dessert tray. I ordered the pistachio cheesecake and my wife ordered the chocolate ganache (?) cake. Both were excellent. Overall, my wife and I agreed that the service and food were exceptional and the fact that they reached out to us to make up for our previous visit is more than we expected but show what great owners and management do to please their clientele. A definite 5-star experience. . It came down to three local restaurants, and Il Cortile won out based on location and the type of cuisine offered. I made reservations a week ahead of time to ensure we'd have a table. I did ask for an inside table, but we were seated outside in the courtyard -- which, as it turned out, we actually preferred. Inside was quite cool; mind you, it was still in the 80s when we walked to our 6:30pm reservation. We were greeted and promptly seated right outside the front door, and the patio area was lovely -- much quieter than what we saw and heard inside. Our server greeted us, and we ordered a round of drinks as a small loaf of crusty bread was served with an olive oil and balsamic dipping sauce. Our drinks arrived and we were ready to order. For antipasti, we chose the Caprese Salad and Carpaccio di Tartufo. For primi, we went with the daily sea bass special and Agnolotti di Mais. The presentation on all the food was excellent. The salad was super fresh, with wonderfully flavorful tomatoes. The carpaccio was thinly sliced, with a nice sauce and shaved truffle. When the sea bass arrived at the table, it looked dry to me, but the inside was quite moist and full of flavor. The agnolotti was rich, with a great use of sweet corn, truffle, and pecorino Romano. All in all, a wonderful dining experience. We ordered cannoli to go before settling up the bill and heading out. Would love to return at some point.

Instead of being seated, we were told to come back in 20 minutes. When we returned, we were then told it would be another 25 minutes. At that point, it became clear that the reservation system meant very little. What made the situation worse was the lack of any proper waiting area. There was no lobby, no comfortable place to stand, and no bar seating available while guests waited. The dining room also looked extremely crowded, with tables placed very close together, which did not create a relaxing or upscale dining atmosphere. The front-desk experience was also poor. The host seemed very young and inexperienced, and there was little sense of professionalism, apology, or customer service. When a restaurant is running that far behind, especially for guests with a reservation, the staff should be trained to communicate clearly, apologize properly, and offer some kind of solution. For a restaurant that presents itself as a nice Paso Robles dining destination, the experience felt disorganized, overcrowded, and poorly managed. Making a reservation weeks ahead should mean something. Instead, we were left waiting with no real hospitality and no confidence that we would be seated anytime soon. Unfortunately, we left very disappointed. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Il Cortile Ristorante, especially if you are planning a special dinner, visiting from out of town, or relying on a reservation.

This cheese shop is clearly doing something right. The space is charming, the selection impressive,…read moreand the quality of ingredients speaks for itself. But if you're planning a visit, build in serious buffer time. We stopped in on Memorial Day and, with several parties ahead of us in line, didn't place our order until nearly 20 minutes after arriving. By the 45-minute mark, our food still hadn't come out for two paninis and a soup. What made it especially frustrating was watching parties who arrived after us get their cheese orders and drinks served before anyone had even started assembling our sandwiches. It was clear the shop was understaffed for the holiday weekend, with one person managing the counter and another in the back prepping. We ended up asking to take the sandwiches cold just to get out the door, only to have both stuffed into one small bag, sloppily wrapped. The soup, unfortunately, came out lukewarm regardless. None of this felt malicious. The shop has an unhurried, artisanal quality that's part of its appeal, but that can't fully account for the gap between the experience and a nearly hour-long wait for a simple lunch order while others moved ahead of us. Come for the cheese, come for the atmosphere. Just don't come hungry with anywhere to be.
