Ordered a steak burrito today. The steak container had a few dried up pieces of steak remaining so I requested they cook up a fresh batch, though they should have been prepared for a customer to ask. The employee then disappeared for a moment and came back and asked me to verify I wanted them to cook some edible steak for me when the steak was "cooked" (still really underdone at this point) the employee uses the spatula he had used on the raw meat to transfer the cooked meat to my burrito and contaminated it with the 6 little pieces of steak he took from the grill. It was half of what any other Moe's would consider a normal portion of steak. I asked him to use the portion spoon to put on the correct amount of steak rather than the cooking utensil and he offered to give me the full portion of steak for extra money. I asked a different *manager* to do something and his response was to inform me that "the cost of steak has gone up so he can't do anything about it". So basically I paid full price for a steak burrito that had a bite of steak every 3 bites. No wonder this location always has a totally different staff every 2 weeks, these people suck at customer service. MOE's: Just shut this location down, it's never a positive experience. read more

Met friends for lunch today, haven't been to a Moe's in years. Service was ok they seemed to be in no hurry even with a line but food was good. They have more options of toppings to choose from than competitors so that's nice and every order comes with free chips. The chips are almost the best part. I love a nice super thin tortilla chip and they have multiple salsas at the salsa bar to pick from. Friends had the queso it was really good. read more

She has been extremely rude. Every time I come in, she makes rude remarks. I buy a small meal and she says, you coming in back and forth. You cant return to use the restroom. I have seen her telling multiple guests they cannot use the bathroom. When they tried to go, you follow them and say you can't use the bathroom. The times I was able to use the bathroom, it is very dirty, always out of toilet tissue, and nothing but the thick brown toilet tissue which clogs the toilet. The women's restroom is always out of toilet tissue and dirty. the water shoots out so hard it splashes all over the hands and short. It is guest out super hard. The women's restroom is not clean and smelled bad This new black manager who has just been hired needs to be terminated. She yells and makes rude remarks to customers. The food served is very low-cooked and lukewarm. Multiple times I have had to toss the food because was too lukewarm. I asked to heat the food more and always disagree. The food appears to not be fresh and reused from previous days before. The portion sizes offered are also a lot smaller than supposed. I notified the staff about the small portion sizes and have made no fixes. The new black manager is very unprofessional. She denies guests the right to use the bathroom and when the order is too small, asks them to leave and says can't keep coming in and out. In addition, the MOES location only leases the space that it is in and does not own the building, space, restrooms, or outdoor seating. The property owner of shoppes at southside complex has gotten on past moes managers about unlawful trespassing of guests. The only result is all the staff terminated and then new ones hired including managers that do not follow the rules. The new hires are always nasty and rude to customers/ The store employee attrition rate is sky high and has gone through 5 different managers and 5 entire employee turnover rates within the past 4 years I have been coming here. A nice friendly store manager Jose was forced to quit and once he quit, all the staff quit with him as they feared another nasty store manager would come. THE REPLACEMENT, THE NEW BLACK WOMAN is awful and needs to be terminated. THERE IS ALSO FOOD THEFT AT THIS LOCATION THAT NEEDS TO STOP. I HAVE WITNESSES STAFF giving free food and drinks to several different frequent vagrant visitors. A number of them have refused food and only come in to buy a drink or use the restroom. when they refused, they are harassed, told they cant use the bathroom, or can't return. I have witnessed them telling staff no and then certain staff aggressively approaching them to take food they do not want. This needs to cease. There is high food theft at this location. The Starbucks is under renovation and the only public restroom on the property is at the BestBuy location and they have only one stall. the chic fila restrooms are always in use due to the high customer volume something needs to be done so the new black store manager is terminated. the store is always empty, not making much sales and profit, very slow, and dead. The current day and night workforce is all new staff compared to 4 months ago. The guests are not allowed to use the restrooms, have no toilet tissue, have old food, are smaller than normal portion sizes, yell at, and are not being treated with due care. The new black woman manager is a liability and should be terminated asap. On December 23rd, around 5 PM with the family, the line around Chick-fil-a was two-wide and wrapped around the building. Moe's next door was empty so we went there. Then I found out why it was empty. I walk in and one of the two people behind the counter walks off. Apparently, after about a minute, he was getting gloves. Hmm. shouldn't those be handy?? (COVID- 'cough') . Well, the young lady was pleasant but the restaurant food area was disgusting. Today I went in for a simple Quesadilla with meat, beans and cheese, to-go. They were moderately busy for a Saturday lunch time. Everything was great until my quesadilla hit the grill. The man who retrieved my quesadilla ripped it with the spatula, making it difficult to eat without a mess. He then proceeded to place it in a basket like I ordered it for dine in. I politely told him that my order was to-go. His solution: just dump the basket into a to-go container. He must have thought that placing the quesadilla inside on top of the paper was too difficult a task. The employee also did not place the order in a bag, he just slung it across the counter to me. Lazy employees lead to poor customer service. Will NEVER return to this location. Do not go if you want your food handled properly or if u dare expect to be treated with respect. While refilling my drink, I observed one of the employees dumping chips into the trash can, with the pan touching the bin. She then proceeded to return the same pan back to the dispenser for fresh chips, serving additional customers. She further wiped her nose several times without washing or sanitizing her hands. Went here because I didn't realize the mall location closed. It was clean and no one was in line so the service was very quick. However, we dined out. I always look forward to the chips to try their newest sauces (love the Carolina reaper and Space B Green Us) however they gave me about 1/4 the bag for 2 entrees. Ok, so it was near closing time when I stopped in to grab a bite to take away for dinner my bestie. It was his suggestion as it was getting late after I picked him up from JIA after a long flight home and we decided on Moe's. First, there was no "Welcome to Moe's!!" Shouted out. So I missed that believe it or not. We even asked if they were closed and the guy answered in the negative and went directly into "what can I get you?" Even though a few staff members were precluding the dining area the food prep area was stocked and steam was rising from the surface of the items. Bestie ordered for us the Southwestern Bowls with everything but the kitchen sink on it and chips. I must say the chips were crunchy good and the bowl was quite tasty. Thank goodness we didn't get the end of the shift lukewarm remains as I might have told him to pass for me. Juicy J. was a delight. He was the kind of food preparer and cashier that made the not-so-warm reception better. He was swift and efficient and not because he wanted to go home. He was still engaged and had a sense of humor (he better with a name Juicy J.). I liked his vibe, his catchy nickname and the way he handled business. For the tasty end of the work day fresh food, his cool demeanor and genuine thanks at the check out, it's a firm 3. I still wished for the "Welcome to Moe's " upon entering regardless of the time of day because it never gets old to me and I've come to expect it. read more

On our recent visit, one of the staff there accidently mess up my husband's burrito. Actually, not "mess up", but more of a in a daze, tossed his burrito into the trash can instead of handing it to my husband. Now picture this, it was a busy dinner rush hour for them. Besides us, there were maybe a dozen or so people standing in line, and we ALL witness how she casually tossed the already made, wrapped up burrito into the trash. Poor girl, because once everyone realized what she did, the staff and the customers all busted out laughing. She quickly made another burrito while apologizing continuously and the supervisor comped us that meal without us even mentioning anything (we weren't gonna, it was quite entertaining). This place is hit or miss on taste. Sometimes it's fresh and awesome, other times your food tastes like you just took it out of the refrigerator even though they made it right in front of you. I would feel better about the taste if it wasn't $13 to have lunch there. It's mostly a miss on the employees. I get it. They probably don't want to commit their lives to Moe's but it seems like people don't care there. I've been to other Moe's where the employees at least looked like they cared about you and your business. I've taken my kids here twice. Both times the latches on the high chairs were broken which always upsets me. It's a cheap fix, how hard is it to make that a priority. read more

I am only giving this place two stars instead of one because the staff was friendly and they have a very cool Coca Cola drink machine which dispenses dozens of varieties of sodas. This is a Chipotle knock-off, and a very poor one. I had the pork burrito, and it was very bad. Even the tortilla was bad, the worst tortilla I've ever tasted in my life, almost inedible. The guacamole had large chunks of unripe avocado in it, blah (and I love avocado). Last night, (1/21/21) I originally was planning on dining at Chic-fil-A but I decided to check out Moe's, because I hadn't had that in years. From arrival to departure, the service was great. One young man and young lady was working the line, and I could tell they both worked well together by the amount of personality they added to the atmosphere. The teamwork when I was observing them making my order was exceptional and I could tell they both had their strengths and weaknesses but worked it out together quickly. Covid-19 precautions were taken (masks and gloves), the dine area was clean, not too busy. I got home and my food was still warm and fresh, and absolutely filling. Called & explained my situation & of course I'm frustrated that now I have to go to the store to get my food that was supposed to be brought to me . I am titling this FOOD AND FIGHT: Worst food I have ever seen and worst staff. I have heard people speak of Moe's in such a good light I decided to try it. I went in at lunch time during the week. The place was busy, I have no idea why, and it seemed like it would be a good fit for me. I saw the ingredients that are supposed to be FRESH but actually look canned, but I decided I am here everyone says it's good and it's busy so I will give it a try against my better judgement. I sat down to eat and took a bite literally it all tasted canned. People who like this place or have eaten here must not know what REAL fresh food tastes like at all! I spit it out. I went to their free " salsa bar" my complimentary chips tasted stale weren't hot and the salsa bar just looked gross. I was picking at my food when a customer asked an employee to clean the table off because there were no other tables and it was a mess. He took the same towel that he used to clean the salsa bar off with and then continued to clean the garbage can/tray area with it ( the towel was by accident or other placed into the dirty garbage can slightly upon cleaning the rest of it) this employee then proceeded to clean off the customers table. The customer complained to him saying it wasn't clean because the towel had gone inside the dirty garbage can. The employee got in a verbal fight with the customer then threw the towel at the customer and ran into the back. The manager was called over who apologized profusely and had the employee who did this come out apologize and clean the table a second time the correct way. At this point I was overly DISGUSTED! So I told the manager the food was awful and I would never return. He gave me a refund which is the only reason there is one star up there. After being at the opening of the the new Moe's last Wednesday at the River Place location, our visit to this older location was very disappointing. Thomas was the 1st to greet us with a very lackluster Welcome To Moe's but at least he said the corporate mantra. The other 4 employees didn't even try. In fact, they all seemed miserable. The 2nd employee didn't appear to even want to be there. It was very slow, not many customers for 6:30pm in a Saturday, but she was leaning on the counter, arms spread and head hanging down. It appeared as if she may have even been ill or just to tired to work. I couldn't get her name as the letters in her name tag was small due to a lengthy 1st name. I think it started with Ch... But like I said it was hard to make out. Whenever she did stand erect she wore a frown. Anthony was next in line who helped give us a cup of quesso as ordered but no chips to go with the cup of quesso. He, like Thomas and "Ch..." never smiled once. In fact nobody did. We watched them while we were eating and the employees didn't even talk amongst themselves. It gave a very unfriendly vibe. C'mon Moe's!!!! Send Corporate down here and retrain these duds. I will add that Courtney was the cashier and at least said thank you, it was without a smile so it obviously was obligatory as the last employee (older than the others) appear to be the manager and was watching over her. If I had the option to not give this place a single star I would , horrible customer service this lady that was not wearing her name tag, gloves or a hairnet and was the rudest , really bad attitude , we came in 20 minutes before closing time and she straight up told us that we couldn't eat inside because they close in 15 mins even though we told her that the food was for here they gave it to us to go , so we had to eat outside where it was freezing cold . Very disappointed I use to love this location and come here every week but that's it for me they made me feel unwelcome and basically kicked us out . It's a shame that people don't take their job seriously and if you don't like being nice to customers then that shouldn't be your job . Also while I was seating outside saw the same lady grabbing chips from a bag that was going into someone's meal . I find this Moe's location to be very "meh." I work right across the street so sometimes it's the easiest place to pop in and grab food. During lunch time (maybe 11:30-1:30?) the parking lot is a total zoo and I refuse to have anything to do with it. For an early or late lunch, no problem. The service is mediocre at best (on a recent visit the guys making my food were friendly, when I got to the register the woman working the register and another guy chatted for another minute or so before either even looked my way). I tend to get a jr burrito at Moe's since it's a little more manageable and doesn't make me so full I can't stand it and the jr burritos they make here seem way smaller than other locations. It's not the worst choice you can make but not worth going out of your way for. read more
