Came here with some friends and it was my first hot pot experience. We were seated fairly quickly with no reservation. They have 2 options, with the higher tier being wagyu. We went with the standard. They had beef and pork only, no shrimp which I'm told some places offer. There were 4 of is a d they gave us an option for 2 broths, and we did tonkontsu and another with tomato. It was supposed to have spicy miso but it didn't treat spicy, so we agreed some of the spicy green sauce from the self serve sauce bar. They had plenty of fresh vegetables in the salad bar area, along with some fish balls and tofu which I'm not a fan of in general. There were also little bowls of Ramen and Udon. They're was also some gravy type dish that was good with rice. I enjoyed all of the food, and once we doctored up the broth with sauces it was all very good. They brought out plenty of meat in the 90 minutes time frame and we left very full. They also have a drink bar that is self serve with flavored tea.

This place has become my all time favorite AYCE hot pot in San Diego. I have came here multiple times and every time I left satisfied by the food and the service. MoMo Paradise is AYCE shabu shabu, which is basically Japanese hot pot. When I first came in, I was slightly disappointed by how little their meat selection is, but I soon know why. Even though their selections are few, but every single selection was quality. None of the meat I have received thus far is frozen and all were freshly served. The presentation is also very on point. All the plates, bowls, and even the dishes that carried the meat resemble that of a traditional Japanese kitchen set. Makes you feel like you are eating at Japan without actually being in Japan. I have tried both the normal menu and the wagyu menu. Normally, I don't go for the wagyu option for hot pot since you can't really appreciate the quality of the meat in hot pot as well as kbbq. However for some reason, I could actually taste the difference. The wagyu option is definitely tastier and slightly more fatty. However if you are not willing to pay the extra price, the regular option is just as good! Parking is very spacious. MoMo Paradise is conveniently located within a ginormous plaza. Even during peak dinner time, you should not have trouble finding parking.

Man! What a slam dunk experience, full circle for my wife and I. We were one of the very first customers at this establishment roughly 3 years ago. It slays all the same. A sukiyaki broth that ends up more flavorful the later in the meal it gets (because the boil steams out the water, leaving behind the broth goodness). Sad to hear it's coming to a close, but I hope this review accomplishes a respectful send off. The meats are fresh, not sight of it ever being frozen, Dan the GM and Tiff the lead server, both gave us a family first experience and were always one step ahead of our wants and needs. The smell walking in, the lighting and the spacing between tables leave for a great date experience. You will be missed momos!

My favorite AYCE hotpot spot in Mira Mesa! They're located in a plaza so there's plenty of parking. When ordering your soup base, you can split it and choose 2 broths. Their meat quality is always high quality and you can opt for their premium menu which includes wagyu. They also have curry and rice which is my favorite thing to eat while I wait for my broth to heat up.

Delicious for japanese hot pot! I go here once a week and enjoy the hotpot a lot! I love their pork belly as it's very thin and soft! They have a bar for getting noodles and vegetables. They also have curry and rice at the bar which is savory and sweet. They also have a drink bar which is additional charge. After dinner they have dessert which is included; ice cream of whatever flavors they have that day.

I love this place! It's all-you-can-eat Japanese hotpot, and the meat quality is surprisingly good--fresh, well-marbled, and not overly frozen like some other places. The side bar is a great bonus too, with lots of tasty options to add to your pot or snack on while you wait. And the best part? They give you ice cream at the end! Always a satisfying experience and a solid neighborhood gem.

This is a great place for AYCE Japanese shabu shabu. The meat choice was relatively simple, but the meat quality was great for AYCE. And the underdog of this show was definitely the curry. For a shabu shabu place, I did not expect the Japanese curry to be SO good and I paired it with the red pickled radish. For a few more bucks, you can also get AYCE drinks, which included milk tea and tea with toppings. There was agar boba and coffee jelly, which was a great addition to the meal. I left this place super full and satisfied. i would definitely be back again with my family.

This is a delicious option for all you can eat hot pot in San Diego. There are a couple things to know to get the most out of your experience. First, if you are dining on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night you need to make a reservation. Multiple walk in parties of 4 or less were turned away when I went on a Friday night. You can make a reservation on their website. You can also text Mo-mo-Paradise with specific requests. I couldn't find a 6:30 pm reservation for a Friday night online but was able to text and get one. Second, you have 1.5 hours total with last call occurring at 60 minutes so you need to keep this in mind and know what you want for each order. Pacing is very important and you will be asked to vacate your table promptly at 1.5 hours. This is understandable as they run an efficient ship to ensure your table is promptly ready at your reservation slot. Our server Gavin was fantastic. He was attentive and came by frequently to check on us. My favorite meats are the chuck eye beef and pork belly. These are their higher fat meats and taste delicious. The vegetable bar is serve yourself. I really enjoyed selecting high quality ingredients from the vegetable bar. Something I noticed about Mo-mo is that their vegetable bar has higher quality ingredients than other hot pot joints and the area is much cleaner and more well maintained. There are dedicated workers by the vegetable bar at all times ensuring the ingredients are well stocked and the area is clean. Some will say I'm not getting my moneys worth by doing this but I enjoy the curry rice and udon and ramen noodles that you can get by the vegetable bar. They provide a delicious complement to the meal. You can also order ice cream at the end of your meal! The flavors change each time and I usually try all of the daily flavors. I definitely recommend giving Mo-mo-Paradise a try!

This is one of my favorite hot pot places in San Diego! Though what they lack in the number of side dishes they offer (fish balls, vegetables, etc) they make up in their higher quality meat. You get to choose 2 different broths and there are 5 different cuts of meat between pork and beef. I appreciated that they had curry as one of their side dishes. Be warned that the drinks are not free, it comes with a ~$3 AYCE drink charge. I also enjoyed what seems to be a house made sesame sauce. The service was fast and we got seated right away but that was on a Friday at 6 pm. And I do love how this parking lot has a lot of spaces available. The place was clean and I liked how they organized the places. One thing I noted was that we got told it was last call about an hour after eating. There is a 90 minute time limit here. I've never been to an AYCE place that had actually enforced the time limit on my table before. I was suprised because it wasn't super busy, but thought it was maybe because they start closing their kitchen early... despite that, Momo paradise doesn't disappoint and I'll always come back here every now and then!

First time here in Mira Mesa location and first and foremost...Yes! The service was Fantastic!! Skyler our server was just an angel!!! She was so helpful and friendly, making sure to refill our broths. For this place, I love the fact they give Senior Citizens a 20% off discount (60 and over)!!!!Seriously love it. It's nice and big here. Lots of parking. Food was delish as always. They have the Drink Garden also. It's a good vibe here.

Though I enjoyed my initial visit at Mo-Mo, it did not meet my expectations as my first visit. The food is great, and I like the variety. They have so much different meats, sides, and curry/rice. But the service was not what I expected. The server seemed aloof and was more willing to serve other customers, checking up on them and ignoring us when he passed. In addition, he didn't bother to explain the menu, which is really confusing now compared to before. Solid place but I prefer consistency.

I always hear about Mo-Mo Paradise and finally got the chance to try it out recently! We came early on a weekday so it wasn't too busy, but the place started to fill up over the course of our meal. They did end up enforcing the time limit for us. They have a few different meat options, but we tried a few and ended up just ordering a million beef short plates since it was the best one in our opinion. Their all you can drink special is pretty worth it if you enjoy having a variety of sweet drinks with your meal, but for me personally I'd rather save space in my stomach for more meat. They have a decent selection of veggies, carbs, and other add-ins at their self-service salad bar. Make sure to try their curry! Service was quick and our waitress was super friendly and helpful! They used to automatically include 18% service charge, but it was recently removed with their menu update. Overall, good food although the price is a bit steep since it's AYCE. I'd say if you have a big appetite or are feeling extra hungry, you could make it worth your money, otherwise you'd probably be better off going to another hot pot place and ordering a la carte.

I'm absolutely in love with this place! Hands down the best shabu shabu I've had all year. The quality, the flavor everything is spot on. Highly recommend! The Sukiyaki set is absolutely amazing! Big thank you you Lia and Tiff for your assistance and kindness.

Multiple birthday parties going on, so the atmosphere was very alive with conversation. It was like one big family picnic in there. Initially, they could not find my reservation, but they found it and accommodated us with a table right away and even threw in a Halo Halo for my birthday. The hostess was really nice and jovial. Upon walking up to the door, we noticed the closed sign but there was some tables filled already. Asked the young man if they were open or had a private party, he didn't even realize the closed sign was still on. He asked if we had reservations, we did not then he told us to wait outside to be called on, there were tons of empty clean tables, but we didn't argue. As soon as we stepped outside, before I could sit down we got called right back in by the other lady to come inside. Okay. Weird quick game of musical chairs lol. She explained to us how it goes. Drinks on this side of the room. Food on that side. Check. First plate: garlic fried rice (Sinangag), fried eggs, longoniza, Filipino spaghetti, lechon, and a bowl of arroz caldo. Also grabbed two cups, one for water the other for what the waitress said was mango ice tea (spoiler alert: no mangoes were hurt in the process of making this ice tea). Second plate: watermelon and pineapple slices, menudo, kare kare, ube pancake. First the sinangag tasted like it's been left out too long even though it was just brought out. Lots of hard pieces of rice. I decided to not finish it. Next, the fried eggs and longaniza. Fried eggs felt too rubbery for maybe just me. And the longaniza didn't taste anything like longaniza. No spices no garlic. Just a basic sweet hot dog. Maybe I'm wrong and it's just a hot dog. I can say the Filipino spaghetti did taste somewhat like actual Filipino spaghetti, sweet. But not too sweet but also didn't see any hot dogs in there! Now the lechon. Tasted exactly like fried pork. That has zero spices and kinda been out for a while. The arroz caldo had some shreds of chicken I think but I had to fetch for it in the pot. Unfortunately there's no boiled eggs to add but you can add everything else to it like the fried garlic, spring onions lemon etc. Now the drinks. What's up with the non mango mango iced tea? It just tasted like iced tea and if I was told that id be okay. But I love mango drinks and was looking forward to it. The water is the only thing I could say I wasn't disappointed with and only if I didn't have to get it myself I guess would be the only downside lol. I did try to get a second plate. Consisted of some watermelon slices and pineapple slices, menudo and kare kare with white rice. The kare kare and menudo did look like what they were called and that is about it in comparison to what I've had in the past. The menudo had no tomato paste taste to it and was rather bland and the kare kare was also bland. Their kare kare sauce was very watery, missing the thick savory peanut buttery taste. And unfortunately, it was the watermelon slices that made me quit and lose my appetite. It had a weird rotten taste to it. I almost had to vomit. First I thought it was soaked in something maybe vinegar, or I dunno. But I just could not eat anything else. I hope today was just an off day and the food is better. Unfortunately, I doubt I'll ever come back or even recommend my friend or family to come eat here.

We ventured to Flama Llama, delighted by the wonderful atmosphere and friendly service. What I was not mentally prepared for was the most enlightening culinary venture that I would ever undergo. Flama Llama provided for my companion and I both a satisfying afternoon meal, and perhaps the most poignant dining experience I have enjoyed thus far in my life. The meat was tender and juicy. The vegetables more flavorful than I ever thought possible. The noodles seasoned to perfection. The chicha morada subtly sweet and divinely slaking. And the sauce -- the sauce was orgasmic. I used to not believe those who claimed that good food tells a story. Before this meal I was blind, but now I see the truth. Tension, melancholy, tenacity, and elation. So rich in intensity and meaning. To descibe in human tongue this meal that transcends language would be a disservice to its biblical splendor. I can only in good faith describe the effect that it had on me. I have never cleaned my plate like I did in this restaurant. I have never performed with such steadfast resolve. I have never been turned into a beast of a man and immediately satiated by such postprandial bliss. I was a mad, esurient dog, and Flama Llama's cuisine a gentle hand guiding me to fulfillment. How the sweet meal sang to me, beckoning me into this nirvana like Saint Peter at the pearly gates. This world is a savage one, but the food at Flama Llama has reminded me that no matter how crestfallen, no matter how mired in anguish we as humans have become, beauty endures. I am, in all likelihood, Flama Llama's #1 fan. Still, I wish I knew enough about cooking or creation of any kind so that I could appreciate it more. I wish I had it in me to become so skilled at preparing food that I could develop something even remotely close to this. And while I have my eye on other endeavors, I will never stop being inspired by Flama Llama. Such artistry I will be hard pressed to find elsewhere. I can only hope that one day I will be responsible for something that touches someone as deeply as this food has touched me. An incredible experience if ever one there was. I may no longer seek love from a human companion because I have found everything I need at this establishment. I do not say this lightly: Flama Llama has changed the course of my life forever. afterwards we went to costco and got a hotdog and it was pretty good too
