I am not a dentist person. I go every 6 months, but I have never been a fan. The smells, the sounds...takes some discipline to go in. After moving to OC I knew I needed to find a new dentist, and I tried out Dr. Goodarzi today. She did the dental cleaning personally and was very kind and personable. First cleaning while pregnant and she was informative which really helped. Her front staff helped me with my insurance benefits and made sure everything was nice and organized. This office is extremely clean, covid procedures are in place (hand sanitizer everywhere as well as purifiers in each room), and the place is beautiful. Honestly have never had a better time at the dentist's office. I have had horrible experiences at the dentist most of my life. I'm a redhead, I'm from a region of the US with absolutley absysmal quality dental care, and a lot of anxiety about the state of my teeth. But absolutley everyone in this office, from reception to Mona herself, were so incredibly kind, funny, and gentle. I've never actually had my issues with anaesthesia taken seriously, I've felt the entire process of root canals and scaling so many times, like medieval levels of feeling everything, but she got me fully numb on the first try. If you have any history of anxiety around going to the dentist or resistance to anaesthesia, this is the office to go to. The cost of her services is also really reasonable. I was expecting to pay through the nose for such a nice office but everything has been super affordable, even the amounts she cites as worst case scenarios if my insurance didn't cover have been super acceptable as someone who spent most of my life without any kind of coverage. read more

One of the sounds I hate the most is the sound of a HIGH-PITCHED tool that is meant for the interrogation room. With my negative experience with this tool, I told myself I would never be captured....I mean...be sent to the Dentist. The drill that spins faster and faster that can penetrate any part of the human anatomy with such force is scary enough. It had been years since I last visited a dentist. I think I made the right choice. Time for me to make the right step towards the chair and visit my new dentist, Dr. Mona Goodarzi in Irvine. Located at the HOAG Office Building at 16300 Building to the furthest south near the Alton Parkway/Sand Canyon Street on the 5th Floor in Suite 506, you will find the office of Dr. Mona Goodarzi. Even before I arrived to this Dr. Goodarzi's Office, I emailed a courtesy letter that I am interested in becoming a patient. The staff is very prompt on responding and getting my information before I arrived. One less worry because they can do their homework on your Dental Insurance. The staff also gives out courtesy calls to make sure you will be able to make your appointment. When you enter the office, you will notice the white color scheme that your teeth will never see...until Dr. Goodarzi works on it. The staff greeted me with welcome arms and got me working on some small forms to initiate the my records here. I had some questions and even Dr. Goodarzi stepped out of her office to help me out. Now, when was the last time a Doctor/Dentist stepped out to help you fill out the paperwork?! It usually never happens. When your Doctor/Dentist, does help you out, you know you have someone who will help you during your entire tenure. Now, that stole my heart right there. Dr. Goodarzi's Office also includes a Dermatology Clinic as well with a relative of hers, Dr. Heidi Goodarzi. I guess they have a family business going on that looks darn successful. I guess sisters go strong together than apart. After filling out the form, I was already called in to "THE CHAIR". Memories...Oh how I hate "THE CHAIR". As I sat down, I had a beautiful view of Irvine. I think they want information from me or they had a perfect office for their patients. I met with one of the Dental Assistance, Belaine (Excuse me if I got the spelling incorrectly). She was the one who wished me a "Happy Birthday" the day before. Really, this office stole my heart and my business. She comforted me with her experience and just her day. Unlike my predecessor, I was on "THE CHAIR" and drilled as if I had any secrets to divulge. Belaine took X-Rays of my teeth for Dr. Goodarzi to examine. Finally, Dr. Goodarzi came in and I didn't know it would be her that would be my Dentist. I thought her name was just a name on the board like a law firm. Well, I am glad she will take care of her patients with her own hands. She gave me a breakdown of the procedure and after-visit patient care. When it came down for my dental cleaning, she was very delegate with my teeth. As I mentioned, my previous Dental Practice, didn't even give me a warning and went straight in and didn't give me a break. When your mouth is open for so long, you'll get grouchy and fearful of going back...LIKE AN INTERROGATION SCENE. Like many other reviews, they are POINT ON about Dr. Goodarzi's methods. This is Dr. Goodarzi's selected profession and she has done very well for herself and the nearby community. The Trust is there and not many businesses have that these days. We are just a number on a file. As much as I hate going to the dentist, this is as close to saying, I would prefer Dr. Goodarzi than another firm to take care of me. I have been at Dr Goodarzi's office for a cleaning once. Her staff, Vanessa, is very insufficint at what she does. When I went there for a second time for filling tretment, she asked me for the payment first before letting me to proceed with the treatment. Since I thought my insurance coverage should be higher, I asked for the cost breakdown. Unfortunately she was unable to explain and I asked simply if she can double check this with my insurance later. She instead called the insurance while I was waiting for my appointment. after spending maybe 5-10 mins and not being succeful to get the information, I decided to pay anyways and trusted her judgement. Oddly right after I paid, she asked me to rechedule and come back another time as it was too late then and they needed to work on the next patient. it was not even 10 mins!!!! She could have simply let me to proceed with my treatment and gather the info during the same time instead of making me wait. Just a way to refuse me as I asked for more clarification. I had to cancel my appointment and go back and start this over with a new dentist, while I already drove over half an hour in the middle of work day to get there. No respect for their patients. Better to just close your eyes and give them th money, otherwise they find a reason to kick you out of the office. this is not how to run a business and treat a client. read more

I went to Dr. Mona Goodarzi initially for a teeth cleaning and check up. I suffer a bit from anxiety when going to the dentist (who doesn't?!) as well as TMJ, which puts a lot of pressure and pain on my jaws during the treatment. Both the Dr. Goodarzi and her staff are very kind and gentle, but thorough. They have calm demeanors that ease the stress of dental work. When I went back to fill some cavities I was very happy that the doctor explained every thing she was doing as she went along and really empathized with me about my jaw pain. She kept checking in with me to see how my pain was and gave me breaks when I needed it. Their office is very beautiful; I love the all-white decor and the wall art as well as the silent movie projecting on the wall. All their equipment is new technology and I feel that Dr. Goodarzi goes the extra mile to be a great dentist. I have nothing but wonderful things to say. Let me start from the very beginning. I called Dr. Goodarzi's office to make an appointment for my daughter. The office manager (Jacqueline) was extremely helpful, friendly and professional. She researched what my insurance covered and updated me with all the charges and coverage. I was very satisfied with the level of service I received from her so I decided to give it a try (being new to California I didn't know what dentist to go to). I then took my daughter to see Dr. Mona Goodarzi for a tooth extraction. The office was beautiful, very clean and inviting. Dr. Mona Goodarzi was so sweet to my daughter. She let her touch all the tools and answered the 100 questions my daughter asked her. She promised her that if anything hurt she could just raise her hand and she would immediately stop. What could have been an awful experience for a 5 year old (tooth extraction and anesthesia) ended up being a fun thing (she cried a little which is normal) Everyone celebrated when the tooth came out! They even polished it and placed it in a nice bag for the Tooth Fairy. Dr Goodarzi connected with my daughter by discussing the movie Despicable Me 2 which my daughter adores. I, as a mother, felt very comfortable and the whole experience was stress free. My daughter came out feeling like a princess with all the extra attention she received.
