Real weird dinner tonight. I used to eat at/from Mona Lisa all the time and every dish was incredible. Tonight we got delivery...two dishes, Chicken Francaise and Shrimp Parmigiana. The Chicken Francaise was $18, which included one thin sliced chicken breast that was cut in quarters and plain (not coated in batter). The Shrimp parm was $26 and again, no breading on the shrimp. The total came out to $55 after tip and tax, which I wouldn't mind spending on dinner if it actually came out the right way. This was just a very weird experience. Maybe a new cook? read more

We are long time (at least 6 yrs) customers of Mona Lisa. We go 2 times per week, a weekday for pizza and Saturday for dinner. The service is impeccable but tonight we got our bill and we had ordered 2 cheesesteaks, on the menu the price was $12.75 the bill reflected $15. Called over the waitress and she said I ll get you the manager. The manager came over and asked if we had been to the food store lately. We obviously have but how can you charge someone $2.25 more than is reflected on the menus in front of you. It's $4.50 not enough to really worry about but it's the principal. We asked if he could do anything for us and he said I ll get you a cup of coffee. Asked if he would honor menu price and he said no I can get you a cup of coffee. Needless to say we will not be going back. I get he can't lower the price every time we go in but for tonight he could have said I ll honor it but next week you ll have to pay current pricing (even though it's not on his menus that has almost every price adjusted with pen). Very sorry to not be able to go back because the wait staff and service they give is above and beyond what you would expect. A little respect for a long time faithful customer would have been nice. read more

Terrible customer service! Waited over 2 hours for a food delivery that never came! There was nothing done to make this right- it was one excuse after another. No delivery guy and no one called to let us know. Finally, 2+ hours later they sent the food to the wrong address. Spoke with the manager and he was no help! No dinner after hours of waiting. If you want real authentic Italian food this is the place to go. They cook shrimp to perfection. The food is always fresh and hot. The lobster bisque is creamy and thick, just right. This is the best Veal Cutlet and Shrimp parmesan we have had in a long time! We ordered delivery and it arrived earlier than expected. What can I say? The only great veal parm before that I had was in Howard Beach "Pizza City" I don't even know if they exist anymore. My guy had the Spaghetti with Meatballs. The sauce was bland and the meatballs lacked flavor. I had the Fusilli Alla Mona Lisa. I was really looking forward to it as it contained everything I like... artichokes, olives, sundried tomatoes, garlic. But it was completely drowning in seasoning and very fine bread crumbs that was not complimentary to the dish itself. I expected the dish to be robust with flavor and it was not. I only ate very little of it but did take home as I hated to toss away that much food. I have to admit, however, we ate this "cold" as a side dish the next day, and it tasted much better served cold. The large Round 18" is only $13.The gourmet pizzas range from $16- $20. These pizzas are incredible combinations like a chicken Cesar pie, lasagna pie, fried eggplant pie. Bought a large Sicilian Pizza from Mona Lia Pizza. The delivery was on time and the driver was courteous. The pizza was not hot, however, along with being tasteless. Chef needs to add some fresh basil and more seasoning to the sauce of which there was very little. With some tweaking, this pizza could be excellent. read more

The issue when receiving or order was that we only received 4 and most were small pieces. LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER - Don't usually have to write a negative review but today is the exception as the new owner didn't make right on a botched order. What happened was this: I called in an order for a grilled chicken wrap with roasted peppers and mozzarella. When I got home and opened the package I found an eggplant wrap with no chicken. I called Mona Lisa and tried to explain to the girl who answered what happened but instead she started rambling about a misprint in the menu. I asked to speak to the manager and she said he wasn't available. I drove back to Mona Lisa and showed the girl the receipt which clearly said grilled chicken and what was given to me. She still didn't get it saying they were remaking me a veggie wrap. When I told her "No, I want chicken". She seemed perplexed and nearly disagreed with me. I again pointed to the receipt and told her I wanted what she originally ordered for me, a chicken wrap. She then went to the kitchen to tell them the order. Next I saw the owner so I approached him and told him what happened showing him the receipt and what I got. He said, "That's eggplant, mistakes happen, they they are making you a new one" and walked away. Ten minutes later I'm still waiting for the replacement item and I approach the owner again and ask him to refund my $8 for the inconvenience of going all the way home with the wrong item, having to come back and wait. He says "No, I'm not doing that, they're making you a new one." Disappointed at his poor response and actions I walked out of the restaurant, no food in hand and went to Manga. I picked up a variety of food last evening. "Garbage" pizza (that's what it's called) was excellent!! Chicken franchise was very good. Fries were good. Very good. Grilled chicken wrap, sausage and peppers hot hero and turkey,provolone cold hero were also good , BUT, the hero bread was very hard on the ends (ends could have been cut off for a better sandwich) and the wrap completely fell apart when it was picked up to eat. I'd recommend the heros and wraps be wrapped in butcher paper or foil as apposed to being packaged in a box. So..... great food but a little better on the take out packaging. Mona Lisa is my favorite Italian restaurant in Jackson. The food is delicious. I always get chicken parm in some form, which is friend perfectly without becoming too greasy. If you love garlic knots, you can't go wrong with the chicken parm garlic knots. My only piece of advice is to never eat in during the busiest times. I love the grandma pizza here, but the one thing that really bothers me during a pandemic and restaurants being open which I will support them as long as they follow the rules that are set in place. But more importantly someone should not have to tell someone making pizza and cutting up calzones that they should be wearing gloves because there's so much bacteria under your nails but during a pandemic you should be wearing gloves when you're handling the food that people are gonna be taking out of the restaurant after it's been cooked. The workers that are working behind the counter and at the register should have a mask on and the people handling the food should definitely have gloves and a mask on. read more

I work is this area in Monday's during the summer and this is by far the best pizza place in the area. So you may ask why the 3 stars? Well one thing Mona Lisa pizza fails to realize is that people stopping in for a few slices during lunch break don't want to be forced to have table service. If I'm sitting on the pizzeria side I can handle getting my food and throwing away the trash. The last thing I want is for a waitress to come over with a bill that includes everyone at the table( despite ordering at the counter separately) and being forced to tip. If not for this annoyance, I would give Mona Lisa. 4 or 5 star rating. The food all taste great and despite the table service being forced on you, the waitress is friendly and courteous.
