I've eaten here 4 times in total now, and I can confidently say I'll never be back. The latest visit was after church on Christmas Eve, with my entire family. We had a ordered a huge spread of everything breakfast, lunch and dinner. Something was wrong/bad with everything single dish. I'll start at the beginning: Cole slaw was bad, and not just "it didn't taste good", it was actually spoiled. It was warm and spoiled. It was sent back for a safer salad. A breakfast special plate was served with broken sausages. Yes, the sausage were actually broken and they still served them to us, instead of giving us whole intact sausages. What restaurant is so cheap and lazy that they serve broken sausage pieces instead of a whole link. Plus, who knows what happened to them or why they were broke- did it fall in the floor!? I scooped the broken link onto another plate and asked for new ones. They were brought out. A chicken tender dinner was by far the weirdest plate we were given. Every single tender was cut into. What?! You're asking. Yes, you read that correctly. All 5 of our chicken tenders were cut into right down the middle. It looked as if someone started to cut into them to eat, like it was someone else's dish first. WTH is up with that!?! Why are you sending me out THIS dish!? I was so baffled and confused. My husband was so annoyed and grossed out by now that his stomach was in a knot and he had lost his appetite....he was ready to just go home. But there's more. Our sliders were ordered medium for our twins and they came out just past rare as was evident by the pool of pink blood the buns were sitting in. Kids wouldn't touch them. The tomatoes in the side salad and in our chicken pita were bad. They looked about a week old. They were picked out and removed. Oh this was the icing on the cake. My kids chicken tender dinner included a veggie, which wasn't brought out. So when our waitress stopped back at our table I mentioned it to her. Her reply was, "oh we usually don't give a veggie with that....." Um, but it was included with our dinner so why wouldn't I get it!? She continues to argue with me that no one eats the veggies so she didn't bring any out. Ok, so based on what others may or may not eat, you just assumed to not bring me my veggies!? Then she just stood there looking at me....I had to matter of factly tell her my meal included veggies and that I did in fact want them. It was like a debate with her over my veggies. And then get this. She brings my veggies. They are 11 green beans on a plate. 11 beans on a plate. It was the most pathetic thing ever- like she was mocking me. Needless to say, it was by far one of the most awful meals and on top of it, worse service I've ever experienced. All on Christmas Eve morning none the less. It's apparent this restaurant doesn't like to waste anything, even at the cost of serving bad/spoiled food to its customers. Like I said, I've been here 4 times and I'm not the only one who I've seen send back food. Should have been a sign the first one or 2 times I came here. read more

Ordered carry out on a weeknight a few weeks back. Ribs for husband and gyros for me. Neither of us was disappointed. Ribs fell off the bone. Gyros was tasty, not bland or greasy as it can be at some places. Place was empty at 5pm so hoping they survive. read more

Very disappointing. Got a carry out. Mashed potatoes out of a box , no gravy. Hubby's fries half cooked. Chicken wings super small. Called about the lack of gravy and told they don't even have gravy. Strange! Also need to update menu online. Prices were much higher than listed. read more

Gross food! We were there for dinner. Ordered the cheeseburger and stuffed peppers. The hamburger was a basic frozen burger one could pick up in any grocery store, not very tasty. Ordered a side of Cole slaw. The worst Cole slaw I've ever had. The stuffed peppers were stuffed with rice and I'm not sure what else - it wasn't meat! The mashed potatoes - a very small scoop, were cold and covered in a not very tasty tomato sauce. The restaurant was clean the staff was very courteous, but that's about the only good thing. Since I'm seeing good reviews for breakfast I'm thinking that's how they have an almost five star rating. read more

I was very much looking forward to trying this restaurant based an a friend's recommendation. First, the restaurant is extremely clean, with open visibility to the grill, and pleasantly welcoming. The staff was very friendly. Sadly the food was lacking. I am almost certain the omelettes are made with an egg batter (in this case, eggs thinned with milk). The result is a flat, dry omelette. The hash browns were anything but brown. If you enjoy crispy, cooked, hash browns, you best order them well-done. Also, the sausage 'gravy' was very thin. I would try this restaurant for lunch, and maybe for breakfast one more time in hopes I had an off experience. read more

The waitress messed up my order horrifically. I told her I changed my mind and didn't want pancakes while she took the order she forget tho and ended up writing it down and serving it to me. Went here for breakfast. 2 stars because the owners were really nice and it was cheap. The food was just not that good. The hash browns were mushy not browned much at all. The Mushroom and Cheese omelette was almost good. It just wasn't fluffy and way over salted. The eggs were ok but We could do better at home. Sausage was good. They were busy but I expected better based on the 4.5 star review. I'm not sure if I'll try this place again. read more

The ice cream on top of the waffle is tasty. I also loved the bananas on top also. I am glad that you are able to add meat to the dish. My boyfriend loved that they had egg sandwich section on the menu. Not a lot of places do that according to him. It was decently priced for two people. read more

Went for breakfast on mother's day so it was busy. Couldn't get enough coffee because their coffee maker couldn't keep up. Service was so so but like i said it was a busy holiday. I had eggs sausage and hashbrowns and they were good. Now for the bad: my wife found a hair in her coffee and when i told the manager he barely acknowledged me. So we went back to eating and I see 3 or 4 strands of blonde hair in my wifes (brunette ) skillet breakfast. So once again i tell the manager and not even an apology let alone a discount. Shared two omellettes off of special list.a German with sauerkraut and bacon that I never had before. Other omelette was a spinach with a ton of other ingredients. Both were very good. Came here with my family after church one Sunday morning. We were seated right away, which always is a plus. Once seated we immediately ordered our drinks, which came in a very prompt manner. After looking over the menu, I stumbled upon the 2-2-2 meal which is 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon, and 2 pancakes. Our food that we ordered arrived in a very quick fashion. The eggs whites that I ordered weren't cooked all the way to perfection, but the bacon and the pancakes were almost perfect! The food was put together very nice and tasted great! Overall, I would recommend Moni's to any friend due to their pleasant staff, tasty food, and fantastic atmosphere. 9/10 overall due to the under cooked eggs. Can't wait to go back to try some more of the good looking options on their menu! read more

When I entered the restaurant all I got was a bunch of dirty looks from the owner and another young man. I sat at the counter and the waitress was at least somewhat civil. I ordered the corned beef hash skillet. Full of grease and was told "That's how it's made" no it is not, I have had skillets before and they were not sitting on top a 2 inch pile of grease. And corned beef lol barely any in the skillet . I don't like to say bad things about places but, between the bad attitude of the owner and the young man and the crappy food I had to write this review. Plenty other restaurants willing to make things right without being disrespectful. read more

Very fond of Moni`s. We`re Sunday regulars. Our family of 6 gets lunches and breakfasts with great results. The omelettes, coneys, hanis, club sandwiches and burgers have all been spot on. Glad to see this place survive the road construction. read more

They were very busy but we got a table right away. The waitress was fast and friendly and the breakfast was served without delay. Most everything was good. The sausage was exceptional. The french toast was wonderful. However, I would urge Moni's to find another source for their bacon. read more

Went here a couple days ago it was dead. We should of turned away but decided to give it a try. I wouldn't have even given it two stars if it wasn't for the nice waitress. The food was cheap, but gross. The fish was so tiny and over cooked as well as the chicken. I hear good things about breakfast maybe that's what they are best at. read more

A little expensive for my taste especially for frozen food. They underpay their workers ( pay the bare minimum the can, not even Michigan minimum wage just the minor minimum wage)(7.25) they try and squeeze every penny they can. I don't even think they are paying that much even, my paycheck seems much less then it should be. They also smoke in the back I can smell it when I'm doing the dishes there. Terrible place to eat, even worse place to work. And NEVER coming back. Just horrible. read more

I was a bit nervous before going in because it was a Sat. nite and it was not busy...we had 5 very hungry kids with us so the fact that we didn't have to wait was a huge bonus!! I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this place!! Our food came super fast, it was hot and delicious, the portions were generous and it was reasonably priced!!! The service was fantastic (to the point of almost being annoying!) and the place is spotless...I can't figure out why they aren't busier...this is truly a hidden gem in Macomb!! read more

Didn't now about Moni's in this area until I seen it mention on the net. Decided to give it a try for ourselves even though there were many negative reviews. The place was clean, the waitress was pleasant, but only 3 others in the restaurant. Didn't take long for the food to arrive. My husband ordered the cod. There were only four small and very, very thin pieces for $9.00. Not very good he said. He gets better at Joe-Jo's all you can eat on Wednesday and Friday's for $10.99 and they are large pieces and as many as you want. So he wasn't impressed. I thought since there was good reviews on the breakfast I'd try the 2 for 2. My scrambled eggs were cold, my bacon I asked for crispy and wasn't, my hash browns were cold and just lightly cooked. That was ok because I don't like them cooked hard, but I do like my food HOT. Toast was soaked with margarine and I don't like margarine. That was my fault I should of asked if they use butter or margarine. In all for $22.00 with tip for one dinner, one breakfast, a coffee and a tea it was not that good and will not go again. I look at reviews, but also like to try it myself even if there are bad reviews because it could just be a bad day for cook and staff. Now I'll add my review of our experience and there are to many other restaurants with better food and served hot to go to around here. I LOVE Monis! I go there almost every weekend for breakfast, and order lunch at work at least once a week. The staff is friendly, and the service is really fast. One thing that a lot of people don't know is that they also deliver which is a major plus. To anyone reading this I recommend the Greek chicken pita and waffle fries, it's delicious. read more

Ordered a Ruben and there was like one slice of meat balled up in the center of the bread. My wife ordered a coney and I sampled it with a fry and it was awful. Not likely to go back for dinner, maybe breakfast is better. read more
