My AC unit is as old as the house (almost 20 years old) and I was grilling him a little to see if I needed to replace my unit (if that doesn't work then what...... then what after that..... and worse case scenario is.....) he never pushed that I needed to replace the whole unit and didn't try and upsell me. Monks just told me they wouldn't be able to service me any longer AFTER Gary Monks left without completing the job he came here to do! Gary also scolded me about not doing homework I NEVER received and which Gary was unable to do. NO ONE told me I had to have Google Home & the Nest app downloaded and set up prior to his visit. Now if they come back and say I was rude to the Office Staff, that is probably true because they cut in to a VERY important call I was on and the girl that called did NOT STOP talking so I had to raise my voice and STOP her before I lost my important call! And yes I should have ignored their call but I just moved in, I have no family to help me and I couldn't have kids so yes throw that in my face if you want to but I have A LOT of irons in the fire and I have no help. I moved to a more affordable city that is extremely far (Burbank & Santa Clarita) and I didn't want to ask for them to drive that far just to help me. And, Yes I am very independent; I trained, rode & showed horses my entire adult life until recently when my 2 BAD accidents; actually 3, 1 non-horse related, that have caught up with me so now I am in pain 24/7; sometimes I can be a bit grumpy--you would be too if you had the pain I have. Couldn't ask for better service. Decided to get a second opinion after the "home warranty" company said I needed a new furnace -- uh, no, I don't think so. Come to find out that contractor had completely put in the wrong part, that's why the furnace wasn't working! Gary replaced the tiny part that was wrong, and what do ya know, furnace working just fine. Reasonable, too. They've also replaced some tubing that needed to be copper that wasn't, and I'm having them do some other work. Monk's is legit! So, we had quite a saga with our A/C system over the last few months. One day, back in May, it stopped cooling properly. We got another company (the only one available) to come out and charge up the system. It was 6 lbs low. Not good. We had a fairly significant leak, but were able to work through it. We had a weird circumstance, but long story short, the original company we called wasn't able to do the work for us to replace our compressor unit (diagnosed as the problem). Enter Monk's. We called them out for a consult, they agreed that the compressor needed replacement, and quoted us. Set up the install, and we were good to go. They did the install yesterday, and I couldn't be happier. Very professional, quick work, and excellent quality. The replacement unit started up great, and started cooling the house immediately. Monk's not only did great quality work, but they did everything they could to provide us with a reasonable price. Ended up paying less for Monk's than I was quoted by other companies, and probably got a better service. You won't be disappointed with Monk's! read more

We have two A/C units on our Menifee property that are serviced every year. One unit was leaking from outside of the home which was odd because I personally never seen this happen before. It's been about two months since Monks Air came to our house and installed two new units. WOW! First...Tiffany, who is your first contact when you call Monks Air was very responsive, attentive, and communicated very well with us. Gary and Mr. Monk both came to our house and installed both units. The care, professionalism, and timely manner that they used to carry off this installation was GREAT. Living in an area where it gets very hot in the late spring all the way to early fall - having a reliable working A/C unit is very important. Their new Carrier Units that replaced our 2004 units are so much quieter and efficient. The cost of replacing our two units were very reasonable and beat out the two other quotes that we had from different companies. Second: Once I described the symptoms, Jerry said, "It's probably the capacitor" - popped the cover to verify, replaced the part and the condensor immediately came back to life - that part took about 3 minutes flat.
