What was the point of making an appointment? Also I noticed that all the required paperwork from the DMV and town that they had posted was expired, so that was fun. I had them put shocks on my car. A few days later I noticed one of my wheel locks was missing. I went back to the shop and told the woman at the front desk about it and her response was. Well, the keys to those locks are delicate and I tell my guys not to torque them. I said they need to be tightened enough to not come off. Her response was, sorry nothing I can do about. Not sure if I'm more pissed about having to replace the $30 locks or that she thinks that that I'm stupid enough to except it and not say something. Incredibly disappointed. They open at 7:30am, I was here at 7:15am and the first one to be signed in. I was asked if I had an appointment, which I told them I did not and was answered with no problem there is not a wait. My car was not even taken into the garage until 8:15am & only because I asked how much longer it would be. I was then told the technician just showed up. I relayed it would have been nice to have been informed 45 minutes ago, instead of being told there was no wait. Not to mention I went to ask bc I could see 3 people just standing around talking on the other side of the door!! At 8:35am I was told they just needed to put the oil in and my vehicle would be all set. It's now just about 9am and my vehicle still is not finished. A simple oil change has had me sitting here for an hour and a half (still waiting) and now made me extremely late for work. When asking why it's taking so long to add oil I was told there was some sort of leak (nothing was leaking prior to coming here) and that everything had to be taken apart again. Zero communication until asking why it's taking so long! Absolutely ridiculous - would not recommend coming here to anyone at all! read more

Went in for my scheduled appointment for a brake check and oil change and was told when scheduling it would be "in and out quickly", so instead of being dropped off I planned to stay and wait. I arrived and was told it would take about an hour. Fine, I can wait an hour. Then I proceeded to sit there for TWO hours. Over 2 hours later, they finally told me that they had a quote for the brake work. They said they would have 3 guys working on the car and it would take no more than 40 minutes to do the work. So, I waited again. Another Hour and a half later, still waiting. I was there for a total of FOUR HOURS before they were done!! I wasted my whole day sitting at the car shop waiting area for no reason. Had they just been honest about the timing to start, I could have dropped the car off and come back to pick up when done. Horrible. Check engine light was on, and had a diagnostic done at a different auto shop that I needed a thermostat and a new battery. Took it to them and they said it wasn't either but the battery wasn't secured. Charged me 120$ and the light came back on 300 miles later and it's the same codes on a code reader. Crooks. read more

After paying 2,500$$$$ they still didn't fix my car issues instead give me more issues that wasn't in my car before, after taking my car back and for like for 2 weeks, need to bring my car to Nissan because they couldn't figure out, need to tow my car because it even started!! I called about five minutes before we would arrive and they checked if they had a bulb available, which they did. They replaced the lights quickly for us. They were very helpful and friendly. I came here for an oil change with a handful of free inspections thrown in. They also changed my wipers and a brake light that was out. They could have done a better job at keeping me informed of delays. Originally they said it'd be a half hour, and it took probably closer to 45 min. They also accidentally charged me an additional $25 because the wrong service had been selected in the system. Make sure you look over your receipt before leaving! I love the fact that Monro has a price match guarantee. If you can find one of their flyers, you can even get a competitor's pricing at a 5% discount. To save on the hassle of keeping a coupon around until I need my car serviced, I just save the receipt from my previous transaction, and there's usually no issues with them honoring a price they previously gave you. read more

Very helpful and capable. I had what seems an easy job. However, Autozone could not get the boot off to replace the passenger front daytime running light. Lynch Toyota said they might have to charge an hours labor if they have to take the bumper off etc. Miguel the manager at Monro said he would try to get at it without doing that. They had difficulty getting the bulb out, spent 45 minutes. I waited 1 hour. Patiently, they got it off. Because I had the bulb $14 in all. Worth it! Monro was professional and excellent. Toyota Yaris light bulb changes can be difficult because you may have to take everything apart! read more

As I was waiting for a friend that had dropped her car off for service I guess I was slightly blocking the driveway for maybe 10 seconds before I realized it and moved, this UNPROFESSIONAL RECKLESS "Mechanic" floored the accelerator of the customers car and whipped around the corner onto the dirt lot in back and then into the garage. I got my car serviced from Monro Muffler (Manchester location) for new brake pads, rotors and tires on 09/29. This is by far my best auto service experience in past 10 years or so. I saved $1,000 as compared to quote given by Pep Boys. Miguel, store manager, is absolutely the most genuine and transparent person in the business. I was told by Pep Boys that my car needed new calibers but Miguel was confident that it might not be the case without even looking at the car as my car is fairly new. He really tried everything in his arsenal successfully to save me every single dollar he possibly could. Did I mention that I brought my car to workshop at 4:30 pm and it was ready by 6 pm, the same day. He stayed beyond his business hours to hand over the keys to me. Worked with this place in the past. Employees seems to seriously lack either knowledge, care, or both. The first trip was to have an oil change. After leaving, didn't even drive 10 yards before my car was out of oil!! Called from the next parking lot over (as that's as far as I made it) and was told the oil filter seal wasn't right. I've performed a few oil changes in my day, appeared more like they forgot to put an oil filter on. Forgive and forget could have been an honest mistake. Second trip was for new tires. Price was about on par with the market, no great deal. But once the car was returned, it did not ride correct. There was a pretty nasty shutter all the way around. Thing was, they were supposed to have balanced them as well. Was told when we received the car that it needed new rotors. I thought it was odd as the car just had a brake job done. Was quoted about $800, but I was more than capable to do it myself. In an attempt to take off the tire, my impact wrench couldn't take off the lug nuts. I found it odd. Took it back and asked them to loosen the lug nut. They took it in back, brought it back out and returned the car. Brought it home and the nuts weren't any looser!! I went out and got a torque wrench to get to the bottom of this. The vehicle recommendation is for the lug nuts to be torqued to 110-120 ft/lbs. They were over 200 ft/lbs each!!! Long and short they lack the basic skills to complete a job as well as warped my rotors by over torquing the lug nuts, tried to sell me new ones even though it was their mistake at a higher price, then didn't perform a simple loosening correction! Management needs to re-evaluate their staff as well as customer service. Truly disappointing. read more

I went to Monro yesterday to get my rear brakes checked. The Manager Scott gave me a price of $475 to do my brakes...I said fine...he said it would take about 45 minutes..I said great.....30 minutes later Scott came out and told me it would be about 15- 20 minutes longer, That there was a problem with one of the calipers , but he would do his best to fix it without having to charge me more...20 minutes later he came back to me and said...everything is working properly...sorry for the extra few minutes wait...he said. I do every brake job like it's my own car....I was very impressed how Scott took the time to keep me informed, and assuring me that my brake job was done right...I will bring my car back to Monroe and have Scott work on my car since I now know it will be done right every time...Scott even brought me out a bottled water during my wait ..... read more

I agree with the other person here, the place is a DUMP!!! I had rear brakes done there in the past spending hundreds of dollars. The calipers seezed up twice. I reciently went there to check pad wear. They had my care in there for an hour and a half on the lift and told me of $2800 of work that needed to be done. I went down the road to another place and they told me a CV joint for $45 and 2 rotors for $25 each. That totals $95 and not $2800. They are very shady and would never trust them again. I also have been to better bathrooms in the Ghetto. One star is way to high for these people. read more

Sometimes you have to take the good with the bad. I brought my car in for a mechanical issue that had been driving me crazy. They diagnosed the problem and repaired it for a very reasonable price. My favorite part was there was no hidden fees or up-sales they literally did not tell me i needed an air filter, wiper blades or anything which was refreshing you cant find that anywhere. The bad was I got my car back on the fifth day it took way longer then it should have to replace a sensor one hour job tops. They told me I would have back on a certain day and they called me ten minutes before close and said they didnt get to it and pushed it back another day. If i needed my car back in a pinch I would bring it somewhere else but if i wanted fair and trustworthy service and had another vehicle to get me around while it was in the shop I would definitely bring it back. read more

My van broke down on me April 2 2015 i had it towed to Monroe in Manchester the manager told me i could leave it overnight and in the morning they would take a look at it and give me a call he told me that i most likely needed a new transmition and that it would cost me abot 7000 dollars but that he would try and help me. The next day i get a call from the assistant manager that their was a misfire in the transmition and that they couldnt fix it their because it had to be dismantled first.. I had spoken to a friend that happens to be a mechanic and he told me it could be my axel i told the assistant manager and his response was that they checked everything and the axel was fine. I was still unsure about the whole thing so i had another mechanic look at it and as soon as he turn the wheel clear as day you could see my axel was broken. Maybe they didnt want to put up with the work or maybe everyone was lazy that day.. But i dont recommend this place they over charge and dont want to do the work dont know how thwy have a business really read more
