She was very helpful escorting us to our table and explaining to us all about what the winery has to offer. We didn't even get to sit for five minutes or try the food because we had two supervised teenagers in our group. We came out here on a Sunday and the manager kicked us out because weekends are 21+ only. This was not mentioned nowhere in the reservation process nor emails, which caught us off guard. We were really looking forward to this winery and get together but now we had to change our plans because of basically nothing. Might I say that we drove one hour from San Diego just for this winery. We are very upset and will not be coming back. Oh well, they are just losing a lot of business this way. read more

TIP: $5 off a tasting with Yelp check in. Met Rina and Josh from Monserate Vineyards & Winery at a charity event in Orange County and received a 2 for 1 tasting card, so decided to check them out on our next trip to Fallbrook. The winery property is gorgeous and there's so much parking it's ridiculous. The tasting room is bright, airy, and offers plenty of indoor and patio seating. Park like setting with a beautiful lake, views of the vineyards, and sprawling grass areas for sitting out on your blanket. On our visit, Candy poured for us, but the entire staff was very friendly and quite helpful. They offer rosé, sparkling, and white wines, but only four reds. My favorite was the 2019 Fedele (red blend of Estate Italian varietals), but most of the other wines were either a little too crisp/acidic (whites) or light bodied (reds) for our taste. In general, I think the wines are young and they will continue to develop over time. As I always state, wines are very subjective and what we like may not be your taste, so definitely try for yourself. Now, the highlight for me was the food. We had friends meet up with us and we ended up ordering a Charcuterie Board ($24), and three pizzas: Margherita ($16), Meatball ($19), and Truffle ($24). There's an outdoor kitchen off the patio and the pizzas were fantastic! Not an extensive menu, and a little pricy, but I'd go back just for the food and the winery's scenic property. read more

We've been members since 2022. We love all staff members. Our probleml is the handicap parking. There is enough parking for us. It's people who park behind the Handicap parking. It's hard to back up and clear the space.As always we had the sausage pizza and it was delicious. read more

Took a little time to get meals since it just opened, but between appetizers and wine, the time flew by! Sam, who we've had the pleasure of working with for 2 years, was wonderful as usual! Portions were smaller than expected specifically scallop dish which tasted delicious but left me wanting more than 2 scallops. Dessert was delicious! Already counting down to the next time. Monserate winery is the biggest and most beautiful winery I've been to in North County San Diego. It's lush and green, there's plenty of seating and lawn activities to do. It's stunning! They also have a good selection of wine. I'm a red wine drinker and they even had some white wine I liked. They have a pizza vendor there too which is so nice. Great place to hang out all day! I love this winery. It was such a great time sitting on their really big outdoor patio. It had multiple tables and outdoor lounge furniture with umbrellas. Their pond in the middle was so pretty and great for pictures. I really enjoyed their pizzas that they baked fresh and the live music. This is our second time at the Restaurant for lunch. We are local here in the area and work in the food business (catering, beverage and restaurant business). We love the winery and the wine it offers. However, the food quality should improve. The pasta today came out very dry and the soup of the jour was (bean, potato and mushroom). The soup's beans were hard. There is no manager on the floor to discuss these issues with the Chef. The deserts are amazing. If the qualify improves, it can be rated as a great restaurant for Italian food. read more

This place is very beautiful. The lake and vineyards in the background are very picturesque. Theres a lot of seating and the staff is wonderful. We tried the taster cards and it was 6 for $20. Id say it was pretty good deal. Their wines are great. We were fans of their whites. We also got their charcuterie board for nearly $30. It was worth the money. I recently visited Monserate Winery as a guest to attend my friend's wedding. This winery is beautiful! Plenty of parking spaces at the parking lot. Upon walking inside, everything is clean and well kept. Ceremony, cocktail hours, reception and restroom are all in one area. If you're looking for a venue for your wedding, definitely check out this winery. As a bride getting married next week, I wish our venue looks this nice! read more

Update: We were looking to visit this winery over the weekend with another family. While looking through Yelp reviews and the menu, I noticed a few changes. I am SO disappointed that they now are banning children from Friday-Sunday. Like, when else can working class families visit? You have literally blocked out any possibility of visiting the winery for this population. I see both extremes of reviews- some say they love it now because it's 21+ and others saying they won't be able to enjoy the winery because of the 21+ policy on weekends. It's sad and unfortunate. The reason I visited here previously was because of my friends who also had children (they were members). This WAS a great family friendly place. Restricting access to minors Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday will only hurt the business, in my humble opinion. This is no longer a nice meetup spot for families on the weekends. That's too bad, if I didn't feel welcomed the first time I came, now I certainly don't. It's a shame some parents left children unsupervised that ruined it for all. And it is a shame that the winery is only catering to a specific population on the weekends. Could there not have been another option?! Like designating outside grassy area for families? There seems to be a bar area and seating just about side the bar area for adults to enjoy. I don't think this was the best option. Perhaps, allowing families again on Sunday's? Allowing families during the day as opposed to evening? For being a family run business, I don't see this as very family oriented. Also, I just looked at the menu and there are STILL no vegan friendly options. That's a shame, and please spare me the comment about the salad... vegans don't just want salad. We also don't want to pay a hefty price to have several ingredients removed from a dish just to make it vegan. I guess I won't be back after all. I gave the new venue two tries and decided to cancel my wine club membership. While the new building is lovely, it no longer has the casual/locals kind of vibe. It feels more like a corporate kind of venue and lacks the intimate charm we enjoyed before the move. The member pick up party was a bit sad....held in their private event space with most tables in the blazing hot sun. While the view was pretty, it just felt impersonal and cold. I had great expectations and was looking forward to the grand opening but was disappointed. I'm sure it will appeal to a certain crowd and I wish them success. I appreciated the prompt response and offer from management when I requested cancellation of club membership. They still have some great wine but in the end, the new set up is just not for me. read more

We joined Monserate Winery when we first moved to Fallbrook/Rainbow in 2021. We loved the small feel community, rural vibe. But Monserate winery had plans to grow into...a Resort type, "first class winery" which no longer allows the whole family to attend. (Probably due to irresponsible parenting and dog owning practices, but those things can be addressed personally so the responsible ones can still partake, as wineries have done worldwide, rather than simply excluding all children and dogs)Which is so sad because there are MANY HIKING trails near the winery. I can't go to Monserate winery after a hike with my dog. Maybe Monserate winery wants the type of people who aren't family oriented, active and outdoorsy. It seems that way. There is a great selection of white wines. The Sparkling Malvasia Blanca is so delicious. However, I am a red wine enthusiast, and aside from the Sagrantino, the reds don't do it for my palette. I feel the wines are released far too early, which basically means, I just wasted a good chunk of money to wines that are too young to be enjoying. Too much disappointment, and too much time spent trying to make the wine taste good by adding fats to my palette so the wine is enjoyable. I just feel disappointed by the winemaker, it's his specialty, and I feel bamboozled!! There should be a recommendation to age the wines. After all the 2022 Pompeii we received in August 2024, was much better in February 2025, but this wine will be worth it's price in another year or 2. That's the winemakers wheel to turn, and I feel it wasn't done right to start leaving us members with young wines at the price of a much more mature wine. Around 2021 I cancelled our Orfila membership, for this exact reason, wines release too young, they dont taste great. At that time Monseraye had a lovely Fedele, so we joined. I want so badly to find a place where I love their reds. Unfortunately, as each new red came out, I couldn't find one that I really loved. Since the new building has opened I feel the vibe has changed. It used to have a community, family vibe, now feels more elitists. The wine club members area feels stuffy, no charm. I don't know if they are going for Old World Charm, but its just not for me anymore. Which makes me sad because I like belonging to a place since the beginning, and growing with them, not apart. The food is really good. Honestly, it's what has kept me from canceling our membership. However, the pricing has become quite extreme. I end up paying about $30 for a chicken Ceasars salad. Although my wine is "free", I think $30 is a bit much for a chicken cesar salad. Most of the time it is so hot outside that my lettuce wilts and my Sparkling Malvasia gets warm before I can finish it. Unfortunately, last summer I was not aware of the members lounge, so I had been sitting outside it the hot sun everytime I came. Which again, sad, a member didn't know about the members area, am I the only one? Anyway, maybe a great place to visit, like if you are a tourist, it is a pretty venue. As far as a local place to call "home away from home", for me, Monserate Winery doesn't have that welcome locals we are glad you are here, I miss the come as you are vibe, so they get 3 out of 5 stars. read more

Went in for a tasty professional wine, servers knowledgeable about their wines I drink at once and all of them are great then we had lunch great food, the margarita, pizza and calamari. It was great. My son-in-law's mother is a member at Montserate. We had a party of 12 for a birthday lunch. The service was terrible, it took forever to even have a server take our order for lunch and the air conditioning in the dining room was either not working or working poorly. Once we were done eating, no servers were available to clear the dishes. We asked multiple times to have the dishes cleared from the table to no avail. One of the guest in our party, took some glassware to the hostess stand and asked that someone clear our tables. Still, Many minutes went by and no one cleared the table. So we took a bunch of the plates and put them on a table that was near the bathrooms that had no chairs so that we could clear space for dessert/cake. We asked the manager multiple times to have the table cleared. We talked to the servers to no avail. When we asked for the cake, they just brought it in the box and put it in front of the person whose birthday we were celebrating. When speaking with management, they threatened to kick us out for putting our dirty dishes on "random tables". I assured the manager that was not the case rather we had given them to the hostess and put them on a table that had no chairs next to the bathroom because no one was clearing our tables after multiple requests. They were very argumentative and it was a terrible experience for the person we were celebrating their birthday. There seem to be no concern or accommodation on behalf of the management, rather just a blame game. I understand when establishments are busy, but this was beyond unacceptable. read more

We recently had our baby shower at Monserate winery and have gotten non-stop compliments! The venue is gorgeous, and not only that but the wine and food were both incredible too. We are so appreciative to Tristan, who coordinated our event from start to finish. He was incredibly helpful and made sure our day ran perfectly and matched our vision! I've been going to this winery for years; at first it was a tent, then a small tasting room while they built the main building. I talked a girlfriend into checking out their new build in July, and we met Jacoby, who quickly educated us on the wine, the history of the property, and gave us some great food recommendations as well! We immediately became members! Dorian is always incredibly friendly and helpful as well!! Part of the reason we drive from Temecula for this winery is due to the amazing staff and atmosphere!
