Made an appointment for an inspection. The office worker, never called me back to answer a question after telling me he would call. The tech took my car for a "Test Drive", I couldn't figure out why a test drive would take 20 minutes, until he returned, I saw he had stopped and picked up food and an ice coffee in my car from Dunkin Donuts. All around, profoundly unprofessional. Strongly recommend people to avoid this shop. read more

These folks do a pretty descent job. I took my car there around August 2012 for a radiator change. I was told I had to leave it overnight and return for pickup next day afternoon. Due to some unexpected changes in my schedule the following day, I got off work late and arrived in the evening for pickup. Oh, the radiator had been fixed but they also took the car for a joy ride. I had full tank of gas in it before I left. When I came back, there was barely a quarter of gas left!! It was raining all day and there was mud everywhere! on the mats, seats, you name it! They do a descent job but if you don't pick up your car early, someone will take it for a joy ride after the work is done. Since that incident, I take my car to Curry's Auto Service. They are right next door. They are a little pricier but I leave my car overnight and can be rest assured that no one will be partying in it! read more

As good as it gets is an understatement for the exceptional service you receive from James an his team. I needed a tune up an some other minor things done to my crown vick. I had been taking my car to a gentleman who's shop was by centerway. I was unhappy with the prices an the quality of work done. My boss and my mother told me that they take their cars to the Montgomery shell on 355. I called an made an appointment, once I arrived I was seen immediately and within 45 mins my car was done an running like new. James walked me through the process of what was fixed an what work he advised I fix as soon as funds were available. Not only was the price roughly 100 but James told me a little background about my vehicle an how to maintain it better. Took over an hour to do an inspection that has always taken 30 minutes at other places I've gone. Failed on one aspect which they offered to "diagnose" for $98. I fixed it in the parking lot in less than 10 minutes as it was just a harness that was disconnected below the dashboard. They then said I would need to make another appointment a different day for the reinspection... to look at a single light... Inefficient crooks, take your money elsewhere. read more

I took my car to the shop on a recommendation from my friend Kevin who owns a transportation company. I believe he actually has a review on here as well. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and expertise in the shop. Their pricing was extremely fair, and my issue was fixed within the day. James was wonderful. I would highly recommend the shop to anyone who is having any sort of car problems. I Drive a 2004 Acura TSX and I know that I'll be bringing my car there in the spring to fix my AC compressor which has been broken for over a year now. I'm glad to have found a car shop that I can trust that is close to my house. I actually already referred them to a friend of mine who is also having AC problems and she will be taking her car there in the spring as well. Great guys, great shop. This station used to be good, but no more. I got gas here this evening and was ripped off (cheated out of gas points) and treated rudely by a very arrogant and stubborn attendant. First, my card didn't work at the pump so I had to go inside. The man inside told me that I must be "doing something wrong" and walked out to the pump with me. He did the same thing I did (twice), pushed the same buttons, and got the same "See Attendant" message. Then he told me we would have to do the transaction inside. He promised me that I would get all of my Giant gas points, even with the inside transaction. He ran my credit card (he refused to run it as a debit) for the specified amount, then told me I saved 10 cents per gallon on gas today. I was very surprised because I should have saved 6 times that - I had over 600 gas points. He insisted that he could do nothing about it, and that my points must have expired, but gave me a number to call to discuss it with Giant. I called the number and guess what - disconnected. I got gas anyway - I usually wait until I'm on empty to make the best use of my gas points, then went inside for a receipt and to ask for a number that worked. He insisted that the only receipt he had was the one he gave me for my credit card transaction and that there was no way that I could get a receipt with the number of gallons on it unless I had done the transaction outside, which of course I wasn't able to do. He also checked the phone number, realized he made a mistake, and corrected the number on the scrap of paper he gave me. He then walked out to the pump and wrote down the number of gallons on another scrap of paper and handed it to me. (I could have done that!) He still insisted that there was no way he could print it from inside the store. At that point I asked to talk to a manager. He pointed to a guy who was speaking to another customer complaining about bad parts that he had been given on a repair. So while I was waiting I stepped outside to try to call the Giant phone number again. This time I got a recording saying they were only open during business hours Monday through Friday. I went back into the store and the "manager" was nowhere to be seen. The attendant told me that if I was unhappy with the transaction I should have cancelled it before I put the gas in my car. When I asked for the manager I was told that he couldn't speak to me because he was on an international phone call. I waited another 10 minutes, but no sign of the manager. I repeated my request for a "real receipt" because I wanted to have it for my (future) conversation with Giant in order to verify the number of gallons of gas for which I should have been able to use my gas points. He reached over, pushed a button on the machine and handed me a real receipt WITH the complete information on it, including the number of gallons of gas purchased. When I asked him why he hadn't done that the first time I asked for it, he stumbled on his words and mumbled that he didn't know he could do that. Isn't it his job to know how to print a receipt? He obviously DID know how to print it because he did eventually print it. I told him that since he lied to me about the gas receipt I thought he was lying about the manager's availability and about the gas points, but he insisted that he couldn't get the manager for me. He then slammed his hand down really hard on the counter in an effort to scare me away and very loudly said, "next customer." I told him this was the worst customer service I had seen anywhere and that I was planning to report him. Still no sign of the manager. I left the store, but will be following up on this. My next stop was Giant, where I spent less than $20 and received a receipt telling me that I now have 500+ gas points (100 less than previously since 100 points were used to give me my 10 cent / gallon "discount"). So I know that my points have not expired as the attendant tried to tell me. I wouldn't normally go to this station because they are so much more expensive than others closer to home. But when I have 500 or more gas points, a 50 cent per gallon discount does make their price lower than any of the others. read more

My tire was leaking air because there was a nail stuck in it, and I just got it fixed from this Shell station. Iman fixed my tire quickly and he was really nice. He let me watch and also explained what he was doing. Thought the service was great! read more

Don't come near this place, their inspection takes forever and even if you took an appointment except to wait for HOURS

I went to the Shell station to get a state inspection on November 27, 2013. The shell service station misrepresented what services my car would need to pass inspection and furthermore damaged a lug nut on my wheel, it was stripped and was not placed properly back onto my car. They then attempted to bill me to fix damages that they themselves had caused. I confronted the manager of the Shell station. He requested that I not file a police report and that we settle this on "friendly terms". I agreed so long as he paid for the damages and reimbursed me for the false services that they provided. I brought my bill and statement to his station later that day. He was supposed to contact me of which he has failed to do. read more

I went here to get my MD state inspection. There were a few things on my car that needed to be fixed including removing the tinting on the passenger windows. When I went to pick up my car, I noticed that some of the tinting was off on my rear window. When I asked, they said that they started on it but then realized it was a mistake. I should have asked for a refund or for them to fix it but I am not going back to them!!! read more
