Found this gem on Yelp! I was craving a burger and Moo Moo's Burger Barn was close by with great reviews. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Geraldo with a smile and immediately seated to a clean, sanitized booth. I ordered a vanilla milkshake which was DEEEEELISH and had whip cream! My burger arrived with onion rings and I was not disappointed :) The buns golden, burger juicy, pickle fresh and crisp with each bite. I was amazed with the quality of the burger from the bun, meat and all the fixin's. Mouth watering and smiling with each bite. I had the pleasure of meeting co owner Ramzi who is friendly, funny and all around great business owner who has a great team beside him. I will definitely be back. I've been to Moo Moo's on several different occasions, both before and after COVID. I can say with great confidence that they know what they're doing here. Have tried several different burgers between myself & Hubs and we have NEVER been disappointed with the food!! We've even come for breakfast, eaten out on their small dog-friendly patio, and again have enjoyed every visit. Service is always friendly, music is awesome, & if you happen to get seated in their booths near their 'bar' area up front, they also show awesome classics....like B&W classics! Today, I brought the office crew in for lunch so they could come to know the great food, and the TVs were showing some old Spencer Tracy stuff! I've previously seen Dracula showing. The music is oldies too....think 50s doo-wap diner tunes! A little disappointed they don't have a PB burger, but was told it's due to allergies. That shan't deter me since their burger selection is outstanding....so many choices! Today's lunch was the Oinkin' Moo, which is only available at select locations, and comes with BBQ pulled-pork & coleslaw on a Kaiser bun. Yum-O! And pulled-pork is not my typical go-to. That would be their Monterey Moo, which comes with bacon, avocado, & Monterey Jack cheese....mmm that's my jam!! But the Morning Moo that comes with that fried egg & bacon....can't go wrong. I always request my burger be cooked to medium, as their default cook is medium-well....a bit too cooked for my liking. Medium cook is just right to get that burger flavor & juiciness that's perfect for my tastebuds. I can't forget their milkshakes either!! Sooo good & thick, exactly how I like it. I live around the corner from this place, and finally getting around to eating here. Man, I wish I would have come years ago! The inside is pretty good size, lots of seating. The decor was cute. Even with a neat atmosphere, you'll come back for the food. My burger was so good, along with side of house salad that had nice fresh lettuce. I was impressed! Though the service, not so much. Initially, our waiter was pretty attentive in taking down our order and serving it, but I don't know what happened to him when I needed more water or my friend who probably could have used a drink while eating her lunch. I drive by there every day but have never been until this evening. The restaurant was clean. The staff was friendly. But the food? Not so much. $15.97 for a burger I could have gotten at McDonald's for 1/4 the cost. For For the cost, I would expect the burger patties to be hand-made, not frozen. And the deli sandwich, also $15.97, was a couple slices of melted velveta cheese and 2 thin slices of turkey lunch meat. Definitely do NOT recommend this place. read more

We were in Rocklin finalizing a deal on an RV and we had to go the nearest Credit Union. Luckily for us, I spotted this place and suggested we stop for lunch. The place would definitely fit in the "diner" criteria. My wife ordered the classic burger with pepper Jack cheese and onion rings. I ordered the Pastrami Moo with grilled onions and beer battered fries. My wife loved the burger and enjoyed the onion rings and fries (we shared). My burger was excellent, not dry and the pastrami was bomb. The onion rings were great with a nice, light batter. The beer battered fries were on point also. Great mom and pops diner feel type of establishment. I didnt know they served breakfast but on Fri-Sun they have a breakfast menu. The wife and brother got chicken fried steak and I got the Morning Moo which is a breakfast burger type of sandwich so that I could try their burger patty. Dont let the shitty looking county gravy fool you, it was surprisingly good. Texture was a bit congealed but flavor was great. The hashbrowns were average, but the country potatoes were perfect. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I liked the portion of the side biscuit and gravy also....it wasnt massive and was perfect. For $1.85 it also makes it substantially more affordable than most other places. Our server was super attentive and friendly, always checking in on us and making sure we were stopped off. The country fried steak was perfect. Soft enough to cut through with a fork, but surprisingly crispy. Even 15 minutes into the meal there was still a good crunch and didnt turn into mush. My husband and I stopped at Moo Moo's today for a late lunch/early dinner. I had the Classic while he had the BBQ Moo. The burgers were juicy and cooked perfectly and the fries were crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. Our server was very nice and attentive. My lady and I stopped at Moo Moo's Burger Barn for lunch today. While we had passed this restaurant several times, this was our first time to stop-in. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted. We found our own seats and were quickly provided menus and .... our drink orders were taken. The menu options were numerous and, in many cases, enticing. We opted for a Salad, Onion Rings, and a BLT. The Crispy Chicken Garden Salad was very good. It was made with a Romaine and Iceberg Mix along with Tomato, Olives, Red Onion and Croutons. Our salad was topped with Fried Chicken stripes ..... along with our choice of dressing (for us, oil & vinegar). The BLT was traditional - white Bread, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato and Mayonnaise. The Cold Slaw that came with - was fantastic. Finally, the Moo's Beer Battered Onion Rings were fine tasting (I recommend). Pricing was most reasonable. read more

Served us a pickle with a bite out of it on a to-go order. My wife almost threw up when she saw it. Rest of the pickles were cut. French dip had two small slices of meat... I called, spoke to "Ramsey", the manager. He was unreasonable and just kept yelling. If I knew this before we ordered, I wouldn't eat here. I suggest you don't either.... Placing a health code complaint on Monday. I would post a negative star if I could. (Edit) I just noticed the owners response, which indicated I wasn't reasonable. I called to let the restaurant know about the issue, Ramsi first explained it was the food to you driver until I explained we picked up the meal directly from the restaurant. His tone changed, kept raised his voice talking over me saying there is no way that happened. I'm confused to why all of the other pickles were cut, this was the only "broken pickle" happens to look exactly like a bite has been taken out. I didn't ask for a refund or a new meal, just called to let them know there is an issue. There wasn't a comment on the two pieces of meat for the French dip, the picture speaks for itself. Last time I visited I ordered our food and waited. A meal went out on a food to you menu and the kitchen started yelling and swearing at each other the wrong order went out, they sent the order with a customer in the store so two wrong orders sent. I'm talking about Moo Moo's Burger Barn, where you'll find a wide array of some of the best burgers that you've ever had the pleasure to enjoy! As you enter the restaurant, you'll be greeted and seated at a table, booth or counter of your choice. Moo Moo's specializes in burger and sandwiches, but it's a full-service restaurant, complete with a friendly server and a menu. Take-out menus are placed on the counter, which you can take home with you if you want to enjoy your meal elsewhere. All items are the menu are available to-go, as the restaurant serves a large to-go clientele who prefer to order online, or by phone. The dining room is very large, spotlessly clean, decorated in a contemporary decor, and will make you feel comfortable and at home. The furniture is a mixture of tables and booths, and there is counter seating around the kitchen. There are also several large television monitors that were tuned to news programs. In keeping with the spirit you enjoy at Moo Moo's, when you order a milkshake at Moo Moo's, you get a REAL milkshake, and it's made by the staff, by hand, as you watch. I would love to meet the creator and inspiration of this amazing burger, Lisa H., as the lady possesses culinary talent in the first degree. My choice of side was the "Beer Battered Fries," which turned out to almost "flatline" me, as they were so delicious. As I ordered my burger, Nina asked me how I wanted my meat cooked, as she explained that burger patties cooked "medium well" are the standard. As I "sit on the fence," I simply ordered my meat cooked medium, and my amazing 1/3 pound of choice beef arrived on my burger, lightly seasoned, juicy, and cooked medium, as per my order. Chef Martina, who was taking care of business in the kitchen, has talent! The amazing patty of choice beef was sandwiched on a grilled Kaiser roll, which was fresh, tasty, held together well for an amazing burger experience. Veggies included fresh Romaine lettuce, tomato slices, avocado slices, dill pickle slices, and a couple rings of red onion. The veggies were fresh and added to the taste of this fine burger. "Moo sauce" - a Thousand Island knock-off - covered the burger, which made this burger to taste very "old school" and made adding mayonnaise, mustard or ketchup simply unnecessary. Here's where things got interesting, and put the "moo" into the "Moo'na Lisa" burger... Jack cheese, bacon slices, battered sliced jalapenos, and an egg, fried medium, topping off the burger! I have no idea what inspired the creator of this one-of-a-kind burger, Lisa H., but the lady has genius, and will go down in history with the likes of Shakespeare, Beethoven and Monet for pure genius. All ingredients blended together for a burger, the likes of, I'd never enjoyed before, and made today's lunch a BURGER SENSATION! The "Moo'na Lisa" burger is the "stuff" burger legends are made of, and should make any burger connoisseur swoon. By the way... I chose "Beer Battered Fries" as my side dish. The menu lists the fries as a "side dish," but it seemed more like a small mountain of beer battered fries. I picked one of them up, hot and juicy from the kitchen, dipped it into a cup of house-created "Ranch Dressing," bit into it and nearly "flatlined!" I have NEVER enjoyed such an amazing side of fries during my 70 years of enjoying burgers and fries! The fries were on the large side, very similar in size and texture to steak fries, which I love, as there are few things better in life then biting into a large fry. Each large fry was lightly coated in beer batter, and fried just right to a beautiful golden brown. When I bit into each fry, I noted they were light and airy, and thanks to the light coating of crispy batter, I was rewarded with a "CRUNCH" with each bite. Oh my!! I wanted to try something different than my usual burger, so I asked Carlos if they had the pulled pork sandwich available. He replied that they did. We left with our food, only to get home and realized that my Pulled pork sandwich had less than 2 ounces of meat on a full sized hoagie roll, completely hidden under a mound of onion rings. I used to go to this place a lot when I lived in Roseville (live in SoCal now) and I freaking loved it. When I was done eating, I would go to the outdoor dining section and play super Mario with my siblings but only if it was empty (something like that) and it was really fun. Today we stopped in for lunch with my Mother-in-law for the first time and enjoyed it. The waiter and staff were all very helpful and friendly and it was close to Tiny Tumblers only a few minutes away, so we didn't have to drive too far, which was pretty convenient! The decor was fun and the name of the restaurant was so cute, they also had fun names for the menu items! Now onto the food! I ordered an old fashioned chocolate Oreo milk shake hold the cherry and grandma ordered an old fashioned mint chocolate chip shake with an extra cherry, which came in a huge tin with whip cream and it was thick! Very filling and we both had to get to-go cups, soo delicious too mm!! We both ordered a burger being it's iconic name, grandma had the Moo Melt with a side salad and said both were very yummy! I had the Pastrami Moo and sweet potato fries. The burger was yummy, next time I think I will ask for it medium rare tho, it just brings out the flavor more, but forgot to mention it to the gentleman who took our order! This time it took awhile to be served and the person working the front(not the owner) seemed annoyed that he needed to help me.
