I really like the idea of a themed restaurant. Moo cows are udderly adorable, so why not drop by and check this place out? The staff were warm and welcoming. It's a fun group of guys and we were happy to playfully banter with them. I got a big kick out of the menu since all the burger items had "Moo" somewhere in their name. Just too cutesy, right? Today I gave in and got a burger but lucky for me they had a Turkey Moo. A white meat turkey patty on a wheat bun with the usual burger fixin's of Moo sauce (they say it's like a thousand island dressing), lettuce and tomato. I asked for my red onion grilled and lucky I did because it was packed with onions. Really, it was just a run of mill turkey burger. No extraordinary flavor. Nothing special really. Meh. I wanted to be Moo-dazzled. I opted for the beer battered fries because they intrigued me. Meh. Sounder better than they tasted. I wanted something crisp and flavorful but I got soggy greasy fries. My dining companion got the Chili Moo. It sounds exciting, right? Meh. The burger was warm (no, not hot) and the chili was lukewarm. Bleh. Hot! Serve a dish hot unless I'm a little kid or a senior citizen. I want hot food served hot please. The chili wasn't award winning. The chili was unremarkable. Nope. Not impressed at all. He chose a side salad instead of fries. I liked that they put olives in the salad but the taste was overwhelmed by the huge serving of chopped raw onions piled on top of the salad. Too much. If you LOVE raw onions, definitely order this salad. The taste of the onions were just too over bearing and drowned out any other flavor. I like onions, but I don't LOVE them. I wish the food lived up to the awesome service. I wish it wasn't one or the other because both would be optimum. No thank you Moo Moo's Burger Barn. Maybe I've been spoiled with good food.. I'm not sure. Place is definitely over-hyped. In short: Shake was Bomb, food is wayy over-hyped and expensive. Wouldn't go here again. Got a decent chicken sandwich, I enjoyed it but had to add ketchup which is never good. Coleslaw was alright, on the peppery side. Friends steak burger was "just okay", a bit on the dry side and could have done with more A1 then mayo. Chili fries were also okay, chili was a bit flavorless and salty. We also split an onion ring which while the portions were good, we didn't finish cause they tasted pretty stale. Just didn't stand out as good as most of the reviews hyped it up to be. Classic underwhelming diner food at a high price through door dash. To me, why go here when you can go to Raisin Canes for FIRE coleslaw and fried chicken. Shake shack, in n out, five guys, even B-Dubs for a bomb burger, maybe even IHop if you want to stick with the diner burgers. Wont buy moomoos again. We were fairly disappointed with our delivery order. I ordered the (cod) fish and chips, but substituted cole slaw instead of fries. My wife ordered a burger. The fish were clearly a frozen fish stick product, containing a small amount of fish and a substantial amount of breading. There was also no tartar sauce or anything included in the order. The slaw was not bad. The burger was okay. Nothing special, but edible. I'd expect much better from a branded specialty burger restaurant. I don't mind spending good money for good food, but it's supremely disappointing to spend $56 for below average food. For fair disclosure, the $56 included tip, delivery, and two milkshakes that are not pictured. Still, high price, poor quality. read more

This is my first review of a restaurant before I even leave. This place has been amazing. I came in about half an hour ago, one of the first of a tidal wave of hungry people attending an event at the nearby Bayside Adventure Church. I was about the only customer when I arrived but it was soon totally filled. And I think there was just one server. She has remained cool, calm and collected. The manager jumped right in and got to work, and he also pulled a young busser from dishwashing to start serving. Somehow, the manager managed to wrangle up 2-3 other servers within 10-12 minutes. Everyone went to work, none of the staff complained about anything and from my spot at the counter, it looks like they have a restaurant full of customers totally satisfied. My meal was prepared quickly and tasted great. It was the Double Moo, fries and a salad. I'm from out of town and would definitely return the next time I am in the area. read more

I first came here to see if the beer battered fries were as good as my memories said they were (yes indeed), but this has now become a favorite stop for my kids and I on Saturday afternoons. Tasty burgers. The BMS burger was the winner. The patty melt came in 2nd. We also ordered the appetizer platter. Enjoyed it even though it seemed like fried frozen items, but they were done well. Came with an assortment of sauces that we all enjoyed to. What I didn't enjoy was trying to get the attention of the 2 servers to order the appetizers. Not sure if they ignored us because we were waiting for 2 to join us. They were delayed in the rain. That's why I thought we'd get appetizers ordered so they'd be ready when our other party joined us. First I waited for the servers to notice we wanted help. They were on their phones and not looking up. One turned our direction and I asked my hubs if it was rude to wave. Maybe flag one down. He said no. The server turned away still intent on his phone like the other guy. I then did a small whistle and that's when the hubs leaned over and said now that is rude. It was our first time trying Moo Moo's Burger Barn and I'm so satisfied with our decision. We ordered 3 different entrees and every single plate was basically empty by the time we were done. We ordered the Moozzarella Sticks, Moo's Farm Spinach Salad, Flamin' Moo Burger, some classic chicken tenders and fries, and a chocolate milkshake. All delicious. The woman who welcomed us had great energy and seated us right away. Our server was incredibly friendly as well. Based on the receipt, his name was Brandon. You're not going to get fast food prices either, the burgers are served on real plates (not paper or styrofoam) so you'll pay more than you would at C's JR. Once you enter, you wait for a table, they seat you, place your order, la-di-dah! You know the routine. They have lots of different burger choices along with a good selection of sandwiches as well. I ordered the Classic Moo and hubs ordered the Double Moo. The burgers come with Moo sauce which is similar to Thousand Island. I'm glad it was on my burger because the burger was on the dry side. Hubs agreed his was overcooked but the cheese along with the Moo sauce was his saving grace. We ordered the burgers medium well but it came out well done. The fries and onion rings were tasty but would've loved it more if I got the Tabasco I requested. I really think that this place has potential, the staff is very friendly and work their booties off. I was craving a big juicy burger after gorging on lobster rolls the day before so we hit up Moo Moo's Burger Barn. MMBB is located in a shopping center pretty close to Dutch Bro's Coffee. There are a wide variety of specialty 1/3 pound burgers which go for $7.50-$8 ala carte. We tried the Pastrami burger and Oinking Burger (pulled pork) along with an appetizer sampler $10.95. The burgers were just okay my Oinking Burger had way to much strong tangy BBQ sauce which drowned out the sweet coleslaw. I also thought the texture of the pulled pork didn't pair well with my burger. The Pastrami burger was much tastier in my opinion with a better balance of flavors. The appetizer plate was huge with: 3 chicken tenders, jalapeno poppers, onion rings, cheese sticks and zucchini all deep fried to golden brown perfection. Service was fast friendly and attentive. Overall I didn't find anything special about Moo Moo's other than the cute name, but in a pinch this isn't a bad spot to satisfy your burger craving. read more

We decided to try this new burger place Moo Moo's Burger Barn for dinner tonight. It was clean inside and to me it had the "new restaurant" smell mixed in with grilled burgers. Our waiter was friendly and greeted us with a smile. My wife ordered the classic burger and I ordered the pastrami moo burger. We got our drinks quick but waited about 20 minutes for our food. When our burgers finally arrived they looked appealing visually. Unfortunately, my onion rings were cold and oily and my wife's fries were warm but undercooked. It's kinda tough to mess up fries, right? What I can say is that my pastrami moo burger was tasty and well-prepared. My wife's classic burger was also good. My pastrami moo burger was $10.75 and my wife's classic burger was $8.30. Thankfully the burgers tasted good but the sides were disappointing. If the fries and rings were better prepared, then it would be a 4 star for sure. I wouldn't count them out and would give them a second chance. Hopefully, it will be better next time. read more

They just opened on December 21, 2015 so it's still pretty new. The first thing I noticed when walking in was that the place smelled faintly of men's cologne. There didn't seem to be much air circulating inside the restaurant so it seemed a little stagnant there. I asked my husband if he smelled the cologne and he said he did, and he felt the place smelled "industrial" (probably being a new building and all). We came on a Tuesday evening around 5:30pm and there was a steady flow of customers coming into the restaurant. The menus were cute and easy to read but I was disappointed that their salad choices were mainly Caesar. No Cobb??? We are glad we read some Yelp reviews before coming, so we knew it was a sit down restaurant instead of a quick fast food burger joint. We were seated quickly and our server was friendly and attentive. Drinks came fast but food came slower than we were used to. Probably around 20-25 minutes from the moment we ordered. The burgers seemed pricier than I would have guessed for the way the restaurant felt. I can see paying $10 for a gourmet burger at Red Robin, but here it felt a little too high. But that's ok, it was our first time--if the food was great, we wouldn't mind paying a little more. The burgers were served on plastic plates, kinda like cafeteria tray quality. That didn't strike me as being a higher end burger joint, but made it seem cheaper. If they want to do a sit down restaurant, why not invest in "real" plates? I felt like I was at a college dorm. Husband got pastrami moo and I stuck with the classic moo burger. Husband asked me to taste an onion ring and the one I tried was SOAKED in oil. A subsequent onion ring was a little better but that first onion ring was just too greasy! My fries were terrible. I can see why the Yelp reviewers commented about the regular fries being bad. It's no joke. I can't figure out if they're just poor quality (possibly more inexpensive) or just not prepared well. I don't think I'm usually picky about fries but these were bad. Management might look into changing vendors because these fries are not going to entice customers to come back (like Red Robin or other places do). Burger was ok. It came with a side of ranch, which was needed because there wasn't much flavor to the burger. Maybe they need to put more moo-moo sauce (Thousand island) on the buns or something. The consistency of the burger was good. It was a pretty big patty and didn't seem overly greasy. Ambiance was ok. I felt like the tables were way too close together; we could hear entire conversations of everyone around us. 80's music was playing in the background. When you finish your meal, you take your bill to the front register to pay. Probably will get better after they are open for a few more months. As of now, everything is just okay. Nothing too bad, but nothing too fabulous. read more

I got a basic moo burger + cheese and bacon with reg fries and ranch. Also got a Hershey shake. Burger was dryyyyy, produce wilted, and the fries tasted like they'd be fried twice in old grease. Every time I order from this restaurant on grubhub, I see a delay of at least 20 min. I've since discovered that many fast food restaurants have a policy of not starting orders until the driver arrives to pick them up. This is purely and simply unacceptable because it is a waste of the customer's time, the driver's time, and ultimately costs the customer more money because greater tips are expected by drivers for the wait. Absolutely wasteful. I've called this restaurant 4 times this evening and have gotten a voicemail each time with no chance of reaching anyone to confirm why my order is delayed by 30-40min every single time I use grubhub. Went back in again. Not just to support local business but because they also are really good. Way better then the chain places which most of us have had time and again. I've had the chain places burgers many a time before so I already know what's up with that. Not missing anything there that's for sure.
