Today I had the Monterey moo with garlic fries. It was sooooo yummy. I think the garlic fries was a little too garlicky but the ranch kind of neutralized it. I tasted my sister's southwest beef melt and it was also very delish. I'm really happy with this place. The wait staff was very friendly. Went in again and enjoyed a great green salad with added bacon and avocado! Service was great too and this place is always very clean. Even though I was enjoying a somewhat healthy meal I watched a few shakes being made and couldn't resist trying one. I ordered a chocolate malt and I asked for extra thick. It did not disappoint! I really wanted to like this place. I saw the menu online and was excited by all the different burger creations they have. Seven of us went so we were able to try seven different burgers. The patties were all overcooked and dry. We also ordered fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings -all very bland tasting. I am giving it two stars instead of 1 star though because our server tried to entertain us with cow puns and I appreciated that. read more

Brand new in Rocklin, have eaten at the Lodi location before. Had crispy fried chicken Caesar salad, not bad, dressing could have had more tang. Wife had tasty hot pastrami and we shared garlic fries. Will come back again for their burgers and shakes. read more

Before I get to the food, I must say, the service here is excellent! A very friendly staff, we always enjoy our visit. Ok, the grub: "TOP NOTCH" is all I can say about it. The Breakfast Moo is my favorite, make sure you ask for it with Avo. And no, I don't care how many calories are in it, its worth every single one of them! And the fries...delicious. Love this hidden little gem. Great tasting food from the burgers and fries to the chicken salad and sandwiches. Basically you can't go wrong with anything on the menu and I'm pretty picky. Never had a bad Server either but Calvin stands out as our favorite by far; he always has a smile, is cracking fun light hearted jokes and is great with our toddler son. Ok food, however the 1 star is for the service. Hands down some if the worst service I have ever had to deal with. Been there 3 times and all 3 times were painful. The first time I was there, my food took 45 minutes to come out and it wasn't even what I ordered. As soon as the food was placed in front of me and I threw up my hands and walked out. The 2nd time was almost 6 months later. The burgers I ordered was pretty good, but once again it took forever. The 3rd and final visit was about 3 weeks ago when I decided to give them 1 more shot. I explained to the person that sat me that I was in a huge rush and that I knew what I wanted before I even sat down. He wouldn't take my order because he didn't have his pad of paper to write it down on and said he would be back in a bit. At that point I watched him go to 3 other tables and ask them if they needed refills on their drinks, then asked another table if they wee ready for their check. He then proceeded to to get refills and checks for those tables. All the while I am still sitting there and haven't even got to order my food. I then see him standing at the register and socializing with one of the delivery people that had just walked in. After a few minutes of that I had finally had it. I grabbed my things and bid farewell forever to this sad restaurant. I don't give it another year before it closes down. Not unless they make some serious changes. Even so, I will never step foot in that place again. read more

Today after getting my daughters hair cut next door I decided to order something to go. When we went inside a lady greeted us and it was not busy by any means so I decided to stay and just eat there. I ordered a Monterey burger with coleslaw and ordered the kids Mac N Cheese and a corndog. My burger was ok, nothing special. Red Robin's is much better. The Mac N Cheese looked like it was Kraft Mac N Cheese with some grated cheese put on top to make it look like it was made fresh. The cheese was not even melted all the way. The coleslaw I had was Blah, no flavor whatsoever, I can definitely make better coleslaw. My daughters corndog breading was a bit overdone; I will say slightly burnt, fries were ok. The employees we encountered were nice but nice alone is not going to keep customers coming back. The food has to be good, better than this. It was not busy at all, and I saw our order sitting under the heat lamp and Calvin looked at it and asked out loud where the lady server was (can't remember her name) and where she keeps disappearing to. After he chatted it up with a couple leaving, I asked can I please just have what is ready? He brought our food right over. It was like our actual server had to bring it over? When our server re-appeared he kinda loudly asked her where she had disappeared to? She did not answer and just walked by. The place is clean, I did not use the restrooms so can't comment on that. This was my second time trying their food, the first time the food was brought next door to the salon a few months ago and I was not impressed then either. Overall, if they want to stay in business they have to make some better food. There are a ton of burger restaurants around our area The Habit, Krush, Smashburger , Red Robin, Squeeze Inn to name a few... Moo Moo's has to get an edge to set them a part from all the rest if they want to compete. read more

We've been here a few times and each time it's great. I get a roast beef chile sourdough melt each time. I can't remember the name. The milkshakes are fun and there are plenty of flavors to chose from. The service is great each time and Ramsey the owner even came to our table to do magic with the boys. I won't say there was anything BAD about the burger I had here, but the patty was pretty bland. Definitely hot and juicy though. When trying a new burger place I always tear a piece of the patty off so I can taste test just that and nothing else - a lot of places have a pretty weak patty masked by good sauces and toppings, this place is like that. I also noticed that despite being fairly busy there was no burger smell whatsoever in the restaurant - that's usually not a great sign. Their onion rings were among the best I've ever had, but with the word "burger" right in their name I'm focusing on the burger here. We received a much better burger than Five Guys. Clean restaurant and good service as well as a selection of sides.
