I always come here whenever I shop at 168 market. It's super clean and staff is always friendly. My favorite drink is the lychee tea with yogurt foam. It's so good and refreshing especially on a hot summer day. I usually adjust the sweetness level at other boba places but I don't have to for the lychee tea. The amount of sweetness is perfect for me. The funny thing is I haven't tried their boba yet. I always seem to forget to add it to my drink, but at the same time I'm so satisfied with the tea that I'm ok without it. Hopefully I'll try it next time alongside their other drinks. read more

Gave this place a try because of their BOGO deal and so far I like it! I first tried their white peach oolong milk tea and was hooked after that. It's a good balance between the white peach flavor and the oolong milk tea, which I like. I think oolong can also be a bit overwhelming sometimes and the peach makes it quite light which I like. With COVID-19 they have been practicing safety protocols and it's been pretty chill. It is in the 168 Market plaza so I wouldn't be surprised if the parking ever gets crazy when everyone's going to the market. Props to this business for opening during COVID! It's not easy even for existing businesses, much less a brand new one without an existing following of customers. For those who are lactose intolerant, the milk tea options are non dairy. Staff did not quite understand "non-dairy" but they clarified that the milk tea powder will not "make you go the bathroom" for people who are allergic to milk. FYI most boba shops use non dairy milk tea powders but it is always wise to double check! The milk teas are a great option for people who want to try the purple yam without fresh milk! I ordered the White Peach Oolong Milk Tea w Purple Yam topping (+$2), half sugar. It tasted really good! I would recommend the milk tea both with or without the purple yam. Sweetness was perfect at half sweet, but those who don't like sweet should go 25%. The BOGO50 offer made the price quite reasonable and gave me a chance to try the specialty without hesitating about the price. Maybe I could get another visit in before the offer ends... I got the lychee yogurt foam and really liked it! It had lychee bits in it which was really good. It is also the perfect amount of sweetness for me. The inside is very clean and they have hand sanitizer out for customers. One problem was their cup holders for drinks. Made out of plastic and very flimsy. The holder is a bit too big for the cup therefore allows the cup to tip over. read more

Been going here on and off since they opened. My favorite drink is the salted cheese purple yam smoothie. Had it about 5 times and it always hits the spot. The right amount of salted cheese, purple yam puree, and ice. It does contain milk so will trigger your lactose intolerant stomachs. Their fresh milk with purple yam, boba, and egg pudding is also great. Today I tried a new drink - peach yakult milkshake. It seems to be yogurt, peach bits, yakult, and ice all blended together. Did not upset my stomach, so I am guessing it doesn't have whole milk in it. Extremely tasty drink, finished it all ok the drive to work. Perfect for the hot summer day. This small boba store surpassed all expectations I had. They remodeled the old boba store that closed previously, so that the interior is very clean and bright. The boba milk tea was $4.25 including the boba, and I found their half-sweet milk tea to be just perfect. It didn't taste too creamy either like many places that overuse creamer. The texture of the boba pearls were actually one of the best I've had in the area, especially for the price. They also prepare the milk tea by drizzling a tiny amount of brown sugar on the side, which makes a basic milk tea feel quite elevated! However after twirling it around and getting a good amount of pudding with it, I came to like it. It's definitely aesthetically pleasing and everything was clean and spacious in the store. Moo Tea is definitely a good spot for boba! The boba is nice and chewy, but I personally think that the strawberry milk tea is lacking strawberry flavor. The pineapple chunks in the Pineapple Tea with Yakult Foam are sweet and chewy, though when you mix the tea and the foam it may look a bit strange. However, I asked for no ice, and the current worker there had said it was blended with the ice, when clearly it wasn't. Besides that, the taste of the drinks are overall pretty good, and they come in exceptionally large cups (for a regular). Overall, the store is pretty cute, the cups and drinks are very aesthetically pleasing and it's decently priced (I guess). 4/5 read more

Decided to treat myself to a milk tea after a run and looked up local boba shops in the area and came across Moo Tea. I got a regular milk tea with 50% sugar and less ice and it was good! The tea flavor was definitely present but not as strong as other places in the area. If you're a bit more sensitive towards sweetness in your drinks, I would stick with 25% as I found the 50% to be a bit too sweet for me. I came at around 4 PM on a Sunday and the store was empty so the service was undeniably quick. There's a kiosk to order from so you can take your time and look through the menu. Overall, friendly staff and great drinks. Unfortunately, I haven't been patient enough to take pictures before I finished my drinks lately. This place is pretty consistent for what they serve. None of the drinks are crazy sweet to me although I'd probably take the sugar level down a notch the next time I go there. Lets go with the cons first though. **CONS** Pricey - I know drinks cost around this price around the SGV, but part of me still can't help but think that some of their drinks are priced more than what it should be for its taste and quality. I haven't been wow'd to the point I'd come here all the time to pay $6/drink, but it'd probably be a treat every once in awhile. The grand opening promotion was great though. Got the opportunity to try everything I wanted to try! Drinks... White Peach Oolong Milk Tea (5/5) - This was a surprising one, but probably one of my favorites (top 3). The peach flavor isn't overwhelmingly syrupy like other some other shops. It's well blended with the oolong tea. My friend told me before that there's 2 types of oolong (green & black) and based on their menu (in Chinese), I'm assuming...this is the green version. It's pretty light to me and well balanced overall. If you're worried it's a tad too sweet, just decrease that sugar level. I think it goes well with boba because their boba here isn't coated in brown sugar or honey. Their boba has been hit or miss for me though. Pineapple Tea with Yogurt Foam (5/5) - Also pleasantly surprised -- Normally, I'd hardly stray from my classic teas, milk teas, slush, but since I saw it was one of the tops, I went for it (or my bf did). Yogurt foam top was surprisingly good. It's almost like a Yakult blended to a super foamy top and it mixed well or stayed at the top well for this drink. I was a bit skeptical at first, but glad I tried it. This one was the best of all the yogurt foams in my opinion. Super refreshing on a hot day. Cheese Matcha Smoothie (4-5/5) - Matcha flavor is really good and the smoothie has a perfect icy proportion. The whole drink is well balanced with that cheese. I'm not a huge fan of the cheese portion. If they made it closer to brulee-ish, then I might like it more, but that's just me. For people who like the cheese, this is really good. Purple Yam Fresh Milk (4/5) - It's pretty good. Maybe I'm not a huge yam lover that's why it didn't pop out to me, but this one's solid, too. It's worth trying and not super sweet either. Peach Tea w/ Yogurt Foam (4/5) was pretty good, nothing particularly memorable though. Jasmine Green Tea w/ boba (3/5) - Honestly opinion...tasted like I could get it at Quickly's with the boba so it's solid in that sense. Nothing stands out and if Quickly's were about the same price, I think wherever I buy at makes no difference. Jasmine Green Milk Tea/Milk Tea (2-3/5) - Nothing stands out. Not my go-to drink given my options in the SGV. Lychee w/ Yogurt Foam (2/5) definitely was my least favorite even though it was top on their list. I realllllyyyy wanted to like this place, but I can't bring myself to love it. I really hate to halt my amazing delicious boba streak, but alas. I blindly drove to one of my other boba spots only to find out I was 10 minutes too late and they had already closed. I decided to open up Yelp, and quickly remembered I had this place bookmarked. As we walked in, I definitely experienced the awkward stare-down by the staff as one fellow Yelper pointed out...no big deal. I ordered the purple yam and the lychee Yakult as those were the most popular drinks I saw on the reviews. It was just meh. I had such high hopes for the purple yam, but it was so lumpy and bland...I felt like I was really wasting my treat for the day on a very...subpar drink. The boba also had this super rubbery weird texture to it that I could not quite put my finger on. My bf liked the lychee yakult tho! Happened upon this place today and was surprised to see they had opened a day or two ago! I love purple yam drinks so I figured I'd give this one a try. We phoned our order in and once we got to the store there were "stand here" social distancing stickers on the floor. It was pretty empty when we came in around 12 PM. There is a clear partition between the cashier and customer when paying/ordering and hand sanitizer is available. I love their purple yam with fresh milk!! It's not too sweet and perfectly creamy. Definitely satisfied my craving! Their boba is also on par with other good boba shops in the area and was warm when we got our drinks. My sister got the peach tea with yogurt foam and it was delicious! I highly recommend their yogurt foam and I'm sure it would taste great with any of their fruit drinks. Her tea was fresh and had strong fruit flavors with the tea flavor taking more of a backseat. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out and will be back to try more if their drinks.
