    Indoor at Moodz....

So this Illy Philly is headed to a work meeting, and I needed some vegan goodness in my life. I stopped at Moodz because I'm so excited that they now serve vegan Wings, vegan Steak Rolls, vegan Chix wraps & sandwiches, Vegan Shrimp Po' Boys, and vegan Fish sandwiches!!!! What is this whole vegan loveliness?!!!!!! They also had some fabulous dessert items for very vegan treats like Strawberry Crunch cupcakes, Banan Nut Muffins, Cinnamon Crumb muffins, and the cutest little Apple Pies!!!! I ordered the Vegan Steak Rolls and baaabbyyyyyy, what!!!!! Soooo good!!!! If you need breakfast, a smoothie, lunch, or just a treat, and you're vegan, gluten-free, and leaning towards organic, make it over to Carson St. on the Southside and get into it. It's a Mood....

It's the PORTIONS for me... The food I tried was delicious! I tried the pasta salad, fsh sandwich, steak sandwich, and buffalo chicken fries over the course of a few visits. Pasta salad was a bit sweet for my taste, but to each their own. With the world we live in (higher costs and less product), I assumed the portions would be great. Trust me - you won't leave hungry. Great vegan option, especially for this city!

Once again the food was absolutely amazing. The loaded fries are the best. The fries by themselves are great, but you throw all this great stuff on it and it takes it over the top. The inside of this place is great and if the weather wasn't so nice i would've eaten inside. The guy that helped us could've been a tad nicer. It seemed like we were bothering him a little but it might have been a long day. Regardless of that, I'll be back. Another thing to keep in mind, you can't change make any substitutions. You'll have to buy a side sauce. Great stuff though.

Moodz is exactly what southside needed!! Killer smoothies and bowls! Love the cute atmosphere and decor. The guy working was so awesome and very helpful in crafting the best smoothie bowl possible. I can't wait to try everything on the menu!!

Cool new smoothie/juice bar in South Side. The decorations are super cool. Love the Funko figures and basketball hoop...what a fun place to drop in and have a smoothie. I tried the PB &J smoothie bowl. It was pretty good, but I think the chocolate chips should be shavings instead because they got very hard in the smoothie. Also some consistency on the menu would have been helpful. The smoothie bowl said to choose toppings, but the toppings were labeled as boosts on the menu. Also, maybe grouping the fruits and vegetables separately would help the avocado, kale and spinach from getting lost in the huge list of fruit.

Moodz Co. new local spot for fresh juices, smoothies & smoothie bowls! Located on East Carson street in the South Side. Delicious fresh product! I recommend the 777- all the berries!!!!

Parking is metered on Carson or side streets. Very friendly and helpful staff. The mango smoothie was refreshing. I can't wait to go back and try a bowl!

So excited to try Moodz smoothies and smoothie bowls. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I loved the colorful vibe of the decor. One of my favorite parts besides the smoothie was signing my name on the wall. I got the N7 smoothie and got another in a smoothie bowl to go. It was delicious and reminded me of cinnamon crunch cereal. Definitely a must see smoothie and juice bar to check out when you are in the Southside.

Friendly staff and delicious and refreshing smoothie. I got the Guava Mama on the recommendation from the staff. It wasn't too sweet (which I liked) and had lots of fresh fruit. I will definitely be back again with my son, who is vegan, and will love how big the vegan selection is there.

This business is a mess. I've dined in, gotten take out and delivery, and each time there was a major problem with my order. They regularly close up to two hours early with no warning and no explanation. The menu inside the store is never updated or accurate, and the menu online is so screwed up it shows half the items as out of stock (some are, some aren't) and the other half of the items are actually out of stock, but are shown as in-stock. I ordered the golden BBQ chickn sandwich, banana pudding, and macaroni salad through their website, which requires a $25 minimum order and an EIGHT dollar service fee. An absolute racket. My food showed up 2.5 hours later, and I only received the sandwich. I called them to ask where my other two items were, and the guy just said "our website is messed up, but we refunded you for the items you didn't get." They hadn't. Two days later, the refund finally came through. But I still paid $26 for a sandwich, which was so overly smothered in sauce it was a dripping, soggy mess and almost inedible. I've given this place 4 chances now and they have never redeemed themselves. Never again.

It was huge, crunchy and tasty. It made him nostalgic for the veal cutlets his grandmother used to make. The Fresh-cut Fries were good but weren't seasoned well enough. I also wish they were crunchier. We saw a man order the Stromboli and it was ginormous but looked delicious. He was a big guy and only ate about 25% of it. That it was takeout only presented a dilemma for me, as I was just visiting the North Side for the day by bus and foot, and had no place to take my order. I wound up walking two blocks downhill to a park with benches. Second, that all orders are cooked to order and take 25 minutes. Fortunately there is a branch of the Pittsburgh Public Library across the street and it was open, so that occupied my time. The food: the chicken and catfish are fried in light crispy breading, very fine. The chicken wingettes were delicious. The catfish was not easily flaked and was ever so slightly rubbery, which would have been a very bad sign if it had been any more so. But it wasn't too bad. Green beans are a good side dish at this sort of joint, and these were good, seasoned with meat and sautéed onions mixed in. The white rice was entirely plain but tasty.

The salad buffet was great, offering a bunch of options, all of which were pretty tasty. I didn't try the dessert section, but it was also pretty large. The layout is wonderfully chaotic; half of it is a restaurant and the other half is a packed antique shop and vintage clothing store. You're literally sitting at a mismatched table surrounded by creepy old dolls, retro lamps, and racks of 1970s jackets while you wait for your food, which is just the coolest vibe. The service matches the aesthetic...it's laid-back, totally unpretentious, and run by folks who just let you do your thing. But let's talk about the food, because it's some of the best vegetarian and vegan comfort food you will ever eat, hands down. I always crave their Seitan Reuben (and I'm not even vegan), which is so perfectly savory and messy, and if you go for their famous Sunday brunch, you have to load up on the sesame peanut noodle salad and grab a slice of whatever vegan cake they have out that day.
