Cute little diner! It's caught our eye a couple times driving by and we finally got to try it. I had the spicy smoked sausage skillet and I was not really impressed though. I was expecting full sausages rather than ground sausage. Overall, the potatoes and everything else in the skillet was kind of dry. This place is sooooo cute! Has plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. It looks like a classic diner. We got seated right away around 9am on sunday. Our waitress was super attentive and quick. The menu is veryyyy big so if it takes you a second to decide, I would look at the menu ahead of time. The food. The portions are ginormous! We were shocked when we got our food. Definitely 2 meals. In terms of the taste, everything was pretty decent. I really liked the southwest cakes because I like corn bread and it was basically a cornbread pancake. This is the second time I have been there. I love the ambiance the old fashion look is great. But the service and food does not help with the quality of the restaurant. I had a grilled chicken sandwich. It was served without the onions and tomatoes that I ordered like that. But the chicken was ok it wasn't exceptional. And the service. I had two waiters. But when ordering the waiter snapped the menu right out of my hand and gave it to someone else. I didn't even get a second thought before it was taken away. GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! We needed a place for a good lunch before our flight out of Denver. Yelp led us here and we were very happy with our meals. I had the chicken fried steak with both brown and cream gravy on the side. I'm a Texan I thought we had the corner on good CFS. This was a nice sturdy steak. Really cute diner. Lots of parking (they need it - the place was full). We were greeted quickly both by the hostess and by our server. That's pretty much the extent of the service - service was absolutely awful. My husband found a carafe of coffee and refilled everyone's coffee himself. I'm currently digging for a bottle of water in my backpack - unfortunately we didn't find a water pitcher to serve ourselves. We had the brisket and corn cakes. I know it isn't a BBQ but they smoke their own meat - but I still should know better. The brisket had a nice crust but was chewy and extremely fatty. I wouldn't have even served the piece that I had - it was almost all fat. The corn cakes were alright, the eggs and hash browns were neither here nor there. Our friends shared the big breakfast burrito. It was huge. They said it was alright but they wouldn't order it again. We sat outside on the covered patio. It was a little chilly but inside was freezing. The restrooms were clean but the men's room was full of smoke from the smoker outside. Been back a few times and this remains consistently good. Easy to get to with plenty of parking. It is the old styled stainless steel diners of the 20's and 30's. There is a dining counter with stools, the tables and booths are period pieces too. The Reuben - excellent! The Southwest pancakes is one of my fav dishes here. My mom had a literal taco salad almost as big as her head. Dishes I've had from pancakes to waffles to omelets and burritos were spot on - right size, right sweetness, right heartiness. I am a fan. So my fam has been coming back here few times each year and we're still quite pleased with the food quality, cleanliness, and courtesy of the staff. The entire diner is a nostalgia bomb and, yes, you can still get a classic malted milk shake. The outdoor dining area is a real plus! This is classic American dining with local flavor. read more

I get being busy but you can't just ignore a table- especially when you have forgotten to enter our food, which is my assumption. It reminds me of Diners of old, retro design both interior and exterior, great atmosphere, great music and great food. Our server Misty was lovely and personable. She recommended the chicken fried chicken and it did not disappoint. The chicken was juicy and fried to perfection and the sausage gravy on top was hands down the best I have had in a very long time. I thought back in 2017 I ate the strangest thing ever eating Guy Fieri's Buffalo Chicken Pancake Wrap at a restaurant in New Jersey. That is nothing to the "Kitchen Sink" offered here. My husband ordered it. It's pancakes topped with bacon, sausage, sausage white gravy, eggs, biscuit, smothered in pork green chile, served with country potatoes. Seriously, this thing was AMAZING. What a fun throwback to the days of the Diner. Food was great, service was great (even considering a busy Sunday morning). Cocktails are available, coffee, tea and soda also. I had the Denver Omelette with only 2 eggs and it was more than I could eat. No one seems to be able to get hash browns crispy on both sides, so I won't fault them on that. We were probably seated in a booth, with plenty of room for the four of us to despair. The wait staff took our drink and food orders and quickly returned with the food. We got a burger and fries for Reuben wings and barbecued brisket and ribs. The food was served cold, and the fries were old. Overall, the meal was not enjoyable. The weight staff will come by the table to check on us, and before we could respond, they promptly left. The Moonlight Diner was just down the road from our hotel. It was perfect for me and my husband as I love breakfast and he isn't the biggest fan. It's a 3 egg omelette that is served with hashbrowns and your choice of toast or pancakes. That's a ton of food for $14.99. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The hashbrowns were the right mix of crispy and tender. My husband did a build your own sandwich. You pick your protein and toppings. He had grilled chicken with Swiss cheese and mushrooms. The food was terrible. I had the chicken tenders with sweet potato fries. I tried to like it but the fries were mushy and undercooked. There were flies all over by us and landing on our food. My daughter had the burger and the burger was so overcooked that she could only eat the bacon. I was not happy. The chicken tenders were unseasoned and tasted like bland chicken. Next was the service. It has been a long time since I have given less than a 20 percent tip. But our server was barely at our table and drinks were not filled in a timely manner.
