Completely forgot about us. We sat for an hour and a half with the waitress never coming by after we ordered. Everyone around us got their food. She only brought half of our drink order. I get being busy but you can't just ignore a table- especially when you have forgotten to enter our food, which is my assumption. Solid diner! Love the retro vibes and that there is something for everyone on the menu. The pancakes were delicious - buttery, flavorful, crispy in a good way. AMAZING DINER FIND. Was in town for a business trip and stumbled on Moonlight Diner & Bar. This is an amazing little diner close to Denver Airport. It reminds me of Diners of old, retro design both interior and exterior, great atmosphere, great music and great food. Our server Misty was lovely and personable. She recommended the chicken fried chicken and it did not disappoint. The chicken was juicy and fried to perfection and the sausage gravy on top was hands down the best I have had in a very long time. I thought back in 2017 I ate the strangest thing ever eating Guy Fieri's Buffalo Chicken Pancake Wrap at a restaurant in New Jersey. That is nothing to the "Kitchen Sink" offered here. My husband ordered it. It's pancakes topped with bacon, sausage, sausage white gravy, eggs, biscuit, smothered in pork green chile, served with country potatoes. Seriously, this thing was AMAZING. So many flavors in each bite. I know it doesn't seem like it would be but it is delicious! I took three bites. Best pork green chile I have ever had in Colorado. I had the Corned Beef Hash. First-timer here! Even though I used to live in Colorado for five years, I always passed by Moonlight Diner without stopping. Now, during a layover to visit family, we finally made our way here and it did not disappoint! We went on a Sunday, so there was a bit of a wait, but it was absolutely worth it. A cute retro 50s dinner. Parking in the back, you must walk around the outside patio to get to the front door facing the main street. We were probably seated in a booth, with plenty of room for the four of us to despair. The wait staff took our drink and food orders and quickly returned with the food. We got a burger and fries for Reuben wings and barbecued brisket and ribs. The food was served cold, and the fries were old. Overall, the meal was not enjoyable. The weight staff will come by the table to check on us, and before we could respond, they promptly left. If I were to return to the area, I would not return to this location for food due to the poor service and quality of food A to-go order was placed and weighed, but staff became frustrated when we asked to place it. read more

After many (many) flight delays, we finally arrived in Denver about 3am. We went straight to the hotel and grabbed some sleep but woke up STARVING. The Moonlight Diner was just down the road from our hotel. It was perfect for me and my husband as I love breakfast and he isn't the biggest fan. Places that serve breakfast all day in addition to lunch fare is a great option for us. I got an omelette with veggies. It's a 3 egg omelette that is served with hashbrowns and your choice of toast or pancakes. That's a ton of food for $14.99. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The hashbrowns were the right mix of crispy and tender. My husband did a build your own sandwich. You pick your protein and toppings. He had grilled chicken with Swiss cheese and mushrooms. The restaurant looked great and lots of tables. After we came it got very busy. With that in consideration, we understood the service will be a little slow. Food came out relatively fast. My wife enjoyed her Chicken fried steak. My wife's friend found the Ruben sandwich a bit salty but otherwise good. My Brisket Frito Pie was cold. I told them and they remade it. For a $16 dish, I was expecting more. Like a bowl of chili with Fritos and brisket on top. Lots of parking in the back and the staff were nice. I don't eat pork and a lot of breakfast food is pork-based but I always ask if I can substitute turkey whenever the restaurant offers a turkey sandwich on their lunch menu and thankfully the diner was happy to accommodate my request for a turkey and cheddar omelette. We just arrived to Colorado and got our rentals and decided to try out a place near the area, plus it had great reviews. The business was easy to find and had good parking in the back. The eggs were fluffy and, this is a peeve of mine with breakfast burritos that they didn't fall into, it didn't have too much potato. The only execution flaw is that it was a bit lopsided with all of the brisket on one end. Overall about as good a breakfast burrito as you will find. It's just not necessarily great for "walking". Our experience here was fine, overall. While we had about a 45 min wait on a Sunday at 11am, our server was a delight to make up for it. I ordered the southwest skillet, and my boyfriend ordered the spicy sausage skillet. Truthfully we both found our meals to be average. It's large portions for relatively cheap in Denver (total price was about $35). There's lots of seating in many different forms including outside, bar seating, booths, etc. all in all I wouldn't actively search to go back but if I was looking for a meal after an early morning flight, I wouldn't be upset either. read more

We strolled in on a Friday morning - it was busy!! It's a school looking dinner - all silver metal outside. I'm kind of a plain breakfast lover so I was good with eggs, bacon, hash brown potatoes, and toast. You get a choice of wheat, white, sourdough so I got sourdough. The bacon was super crispy - the way I like it. My eggs were cooked as requested. Our waitress was very attentive. She made sure to keep our coffees filled and we never felt rushed even though we sat and did some work for a couple hours. Fun diner, with nice fresh upholstery and throwback advertisements on the wall. I had these signature salad and it had everything in it besides an egg. Even pineapple in it. We had a table of seven, and all the food arrived at the same time. There were a couple water glasses that were empty about 10 to 15 minutes before we were done that were not refilled. Associates, taking our order and dropping off the food. We're all very courteous and polite. My local friends say that they have never had anything from here that wasn't great.
