That level of honesty is pretty rare. They could easily have kept the work in-house or added a layer of profit, but instead they focused on what was best for me as the customer. They also followed up several times by email to make sure everything was going smoothly and that I was happy with the outcome. Great customer service and a company that clearly values long-term relationships over short-term profit. Highly recommended.

They gave us a sliding scale depending on labor for specific jobs. When they invoiced us, they included receipts for parts... this is something that we rarely see but it creates a sense of trust and honesty. There are no surprises. Our first job was a lesser, more simple, job-we had at few sockets replaced one of which was a very loose socket that we were concerned about arcing. The second job was more extensive as there were several "needs" in one day. They replaced overhead light fixtures (3 of them), replaced an old and VERY outdated (probably from when our house was built over 35 years ago!) smoke/fire alarm, and installed bedside wall mounted lights. They are GORGEOUS!! On their third visit soon, we will have heated flooring in our master bedroom installed. B. Henry's Quality Electric is the place to go for your electrical needs. The team is nothing but helpful, and professional. They are community oriented and are always there to help when you have an electrical need. It's nice to have an Electrician that you can trust especially when it gets to be overwhelming not knowing what needs to be fixed. I am very impressed with Moore Solar / Heating / Cooling staff and the new heating and air conditioning equipment they installed in March 2017. The furnace and A/C they replaced was 33 years old and has been having problems for a few years and was not very efficient. We made an appointment for a Design Technician to come to our home to provide a price quote. Eric Rossetti came out the next day in the afternoon and I was impressed with receiving a call in the morning from the office confirming our appointment and Eric calling to let me know 15 minutes prior to our scheduled appointment that he was on his way. He looked at our system, went into each room to check the vents, looked under the house, asked us if we were happy with the temperatures we were currently getting in each room, and looked up information via internet on our house for dimensions and other information. My wife and I wanted a system that was not costly but efficient to run. Eric presented options to us with no sales pressure and informed us the system we were looking would allow us to obtain around $1,850 in rebate money back to us. I was very impressed with their 100% Right or 100% Free Guarantee with no hidden installation costs, and the 10 year parts and labor warranty. Included in the quote were other repairs and improvements we needed for our existing ducting. My wife and I said we would get back to him with our decision in the next few days. Moore Heating is Diamond Certified which is an accomplishment to be proud of and it shows with the work they perform and customer service. We invited another reputable company to provide a quote and were not impressed at all with how the new equipment they were selling and installing was presented. It's a long story.......after going back and forth with the sales representative through several emails and finally getting him to send a copy of their contract I would be signing (a long contract). The contract was clear in saying that any changes or additions besides installing the furnace and A/C would be additional costs (this frightened me). The quote he provided was around $1,000 more than Moore Heating for less efficient equipment and less work to be performed than Moore Heating. When I asked him if any rebates out there were available he was quick to say there is not which I already knew was not true after speaking with Eric at Moore Heating. We decided to hire Moore Heating and so happy we did. The install took 2 1/2 days and a lot of work was done. They ran into a few extra things that needed to be done while work was being done to make the system 100% right and took care of them with no additional cost to us. The lead technician was Adolfo and did an excellent job to assure I was happy, and Ronnie assisted him in the installation. Later during the work days others came to assist them, here are some of the staff at Moore Heating that worked on our system; Austin, Trevor, Tom, Jessie, Troy, Oscar, & Jose. Brad came and charged the A/C system and tested it. And Kirk took care of our rebate paperwork. Every employee I met personally and talked to on the phone was very friendly and professional (I wish I had gotten the names of the women I spoke with in the office to mention their names (Thank you)), I was very impressed with everyone's costumer service and making sure I was happy with their work performed. Every time they entered the house they placed cloth boot covers on to protect our floors along with floor coverings. I appreciate the lead technician Adolfo making sure our house was kept clean throughout the process and letting me know what time he would be back the next day 8:00 am and then calling me the next morning to let me know he was on his way and on time. Archon Energy Solutions came (included in cost) and performed efficiency testing and everyone put on boot covers wherever they entered the home. They were very professional. Their test results were conducted to assure the system was efficient so we qualified for our rebate and we passed with flying colors. The City of Santa Rosa came and inspected and signed off on the permit after finding no problems or having any concerns. If you want to read my short review...here it is...amazing and thank you to all people who made this house a home again. In particular, Bob and Juan (technicians), and sales rep Joshua. Anyone who is thinking about using Moore, do not hesitate, do not be concerned, trust these guys with your home and your family and your pocket book. Now, here is my long review and it starts very negative. I originally had Sears do our complete HVAC system... I look forward to giving them their terrible review once I win in court after having to go to that measure after they destroyed our home. Sears cut gaping holes in our home we didn't notice till the second winter after the rats chews through new ducts, tore apart new attic insolation, and shit all over our crawl space and attic and walls. Sears not only opened our home to the element and rats, they did a terrible install and design. They didn't follow code, my ducts were on the ground and zig zagging, never was it efficient, it was loud, and did I mention Sears caused a total rat infestation??? We have had our entire unit shut down and vents sealed with plastic wrap so our children could breath clean air even if it was blistering hot or getting cold. I called in Moore because of yelp reviews and because Sears refused to take responsibility. I even kept with Moore after some companies bad talked them....they just wanted our business and if you don't think I have done my research, just contact me, I am a HVAC master now. We paid Sears 16K to turn this home into a nightmare and we had Moore sweep in like superman and save our space and our health. They are incredibly knowledgeable, hospitable, professional, clean, educational, informative, they go above and beyond...I can go on and I will. I contacted about 8 other companies and got quotes from all. Some were way less, some were more and some were right in the same range. The difference is that Moore is a lifetime guarantee or it's free. Ducts are not cheap and if you go cheap you will have our same issues I guarantee. If you have to spend 5k and your already spent 16k for Sears to eff up your home and not give a shit, why wouldn't you go with Moore? Just do it people, trust me please. I have been through 3 years of literally rat shit and a nightmare to now have a wonderful space to share with our three small children....whom all got to know everyone from Moore very well. They all took their time to sit down and talk with kids when they got into their space and Bob even talked with Vinnie through the vents which made his day to say the least. They fixed our Sears mess, they fixed the complete inefficiency of the Sears debacle of a duct design, and I have no doubt they are there for us in a drop of a hat. DO NOT HESITATE, DO YOUR RESEARCH, BUT BE 100% CONFIDENT WITH YOUR MOORE CHOICE. I only wish we would have gone with them instead of Sears 3 years ago. I want to start off by saying highly recommend Moore Heating & Air. Last year had them do a cleaning and check my system since it kept shutting off and on. I was hoping I did not have to replace it. The staff was very helpful in setting an appointment to fit me in as soon as they could. Josh came out after courtesy call to let me know he was on his way. The kept the appointment time and he looked over the whole system. Told me that the heating system was still in great condition by this is what the problem is and can fix it up on the spot. He explained everything in detail on how and why it was acting up. Also, I decided to sign up for the maintenance program which they come out yearly to clean it and inspect it. If there are any repairs get a discount and the repair is guaranteed for life. To me it is well worth it. So not only did I get the repair done and get my discount, he did an excellent job. I enjoyed it the heating for the rest of the season. Well, a year later and time for the yearly checkup...did it before the cold season kicks in and the heater will be going on. Again, got me scheduled did the courtesy call to let me know he is on his way. Josh checked it out and one part of the sensor that I knew was running a little off last year should probably be replaced this year...Josh explained could do it now or wait until it goes out...figured let's replace it now. He did it quick and got my discount. The heating system is running like a purring kitten. I have to say the staff is awesome, professional and friendly. Josh is one of those employees that a company should be really proud to have as an employee. While up in the attic he checked everything out and even told me that my vent hood was not connected...I had a new one installed last year and they did not connect it as they should have....he helped me take care of that on the spot after he asked if it would be ok for him to do that. I would have never known that it was not connected and really appreciated him not only doing the task on hand but making sure everything else was in good working order up there. Less than a week later, I get a follow-up call from their staff to make sure everything was done properly and I am having no issues. I appreciate that they actually check up to make sure everything is working well and there were no issues. Unfortunately, people have issues and never say anything then the company doesn't know....they actually reach out to make sure there are no problems and if so, they can resolve it...great customer service! The prices are fair, the work is exceptional, and the staff is friendly and very professional. Kudos to the whole team and you better believe I have my heating team for any of my heating needs. We just had a new furnace installed by Moore HVAC, and have been incredibly happy with the whole experience. This is a funky old 'river house' with no existing furnace or duct work, so we knew it was going to be a big job. It started with a rep coming to our house to do an estimate, and Brian was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He spent a LOT of time with us, answering all our questions and working out where the heat registers and air returns would go, which was no small feat considering the way this house has been added onto over the years. He also explained the PACE program for financing home improvements that creat energy efficiency gains, and the HERO program that would allow the financing to be a line item on our property taxes, rather than a conventional loan. We decided to go for it, and set the installation appointment for the next Monday. Right on time two young men showed up to start the installation. The were extremely professional, polite, and thorough. Tuesday morning they showed up with one more coworker, and Wednesday five of them showed up so they would be able to get the job competed in the promised timeframe. And true to this funky house, things took longer than planned, but they stayed until it was done... 12 hours! Thank you very, very much to Mikey, Ryan, Tommy, Adolfo, and Ronnie. You blew away our expectations and did a fantastic job. And... thanks to the price guarantee there were no cost increases due to the long day. Not only did they install the furnace and all the duct work, registers, and returns, they also did a great job cleaning up each day before they left. And they went truly above and beyond... here's an example: at one point we thought one of the registers would have to go in a corner under our cat tree, where the cat's dry food bowl sits. They pulled the cat tree away from the wall while they were figuring it out, and I saw some cat food spilled back there, and made a mental note to vacuum it up in a few minutes. We then decided the register would be better in a different place in the room, and I noticed a little later the cat tree was back in place. So I pulled it out to clean behind it, and the cat food was gone!!! They vacuumed it up while the cat tree was pulled away from the wall!!! I'm still floored by that. So when they tell you they clean up the job site as they go, and that one of their checklist items is to leave the job site better than they found it, they are telling you the truth. From beginning to end, the installation of our new furnace could not have been more perfect. Troy and Tommy were the technicians from Moore Heating & Air Conditioning on Airway Drive in Santa Rosa who installed our new furnace. From our experience we can thoroughly understand the many strong 5-star reviews on the Yelp and Better Business Bureau websites. Professional from start to finish. They gave us a quote and they stuck to it. Ryan was the first Moore technician to come out to the house. He thoroughly reviewed the problem and was able to diagnose what had gone wrong with both our furnace and the company that had tried to repair it before. Ryan was able to put a temporary fix on the furnace but told us our best alternative and gave us a price that was the final price to the penny. While work was in progress with the installation of our furnace, both Tommy and Troy kept us updated about how things were going. When they needed to be in our home, both wore protective "slippers" inside. The time estimated at the beginning to complete the work was accurate. When finished with the installation, except for the brand new furnace, you would never have known they'd been there. The old furnace had been removed, the new one installed, and the area Tommy and Troy had been working in was left completely clean and tidy. What was left were two happy and thoroughly satisfied customers. I can't say enough about Troy and Tommy's professionalism. Excellent technicians who answered every question we had about our concerns and gave us a thorough explanation about what had been done. We could not have asked for more from Moore Heating and Air Conditioning. Friendly, professional and expert work that has left this household very, very happy and very, very warm. 12/21/18: Follow-up visit with David. David was outstanding in every way. Followed up and checked the installation to make sure that everything was operational according to specs and State of California requirements. It was golden. David also did a spot repair on the sheet rock for a defect caused by the former (not Moore) heating company had caused and left without notifying us. David repaired it with a strip of sheet metal. It was perfect. Can't use enough superlatives for David. Everyone -- Ryan, Troy, Tommy and David -- at Moore who serviced us deserve a standing ovation. Moore Heating gave me the best service, by far, out of 3 different HVAC companies that worked on ONE problem that I had. The first company was recommended to me by an older relative who only used them (Ongaro & Sons). My experience with Ongaro was different: I do not trust them, and will never use them, nor recommend them. At minimum, they put no effort into ensuring that you get heat as soon as possible--they say that you have to wait for a part on order, when really your service location is just inconvenient for their techs until there's another appointment nearby. Same problem with the second company: if they don't have the right replacement part WITH THEM AT THAT VERY MOMENT to fix your problem, you go to the end of the line. Yes, someone else in the company could bring the right part, but too bad, you can wait five days without heat. Moore Heating is the complete opposite of the first two companies I dealt with. Ryan came out and had the same problem as the second company: the replacement part was wrong for my furnace. By the time we reached that conclusion, he was at the end of his 2-hour appointment window for me. No problem. He called his supervisor and then waited out in his truck for 45 minutes until a supervisor could bring an alternative replacement part. Unless they HONESTLY have to order a part for your furnace, they will fix your problem THE DAY OF SERVICE. I told Ryan that as long as we had heat before nightfall, I was happy to wait. But Moore Heating doesn't even ask the customer to wait one minute. As soon as Ryan reported he needed a different part, they delivered one to him immediately. I need a new furnace, and I couldn't imagine using a company that wouldn't do ITS BEST to fix a heating failure ASAP. The first two companies I used, they work at their convenience. Moore Heating employees are true professionals. Their job is to ensure you have heating & A/C. And they deliver. Oh, and by the way, they have 24-hour service--that is how committed they are to NOT having customers wait when they have problems. And moreover, if you hire them to replace a part on a failing furnace (like mine), they will credit that cost towards a new furnace. That means that their prices are completely fair, and worth every penny for the outstanding service that they provide. Thank you, Ryan! And Barry, you are a great supervisor! The second company I used had a supervisor who wasn't willing to support his staff, and they lost a customer who would've bought a new, 95% efficient furnace. read more

I've always been pleased with their work and found the technicians easy to work with, knowledgeable, fast and clean! But I have to say kudos to Bryan C. who went above and beyond in comparison! He asked me first if I had any cold spots in my house. Given that my son, who visited at Christmas, had to sleep in the guest room in full sweats with a beanie and socks under a new down comforter and wool blanket my answer was a resounding YES! I also asked him if there were enough vents. He asked if the ducts under the house had ever been checked before and I was sure they hadn't. So under the house he went where he took pictures of the damaged ducts. He was able to show me those and came up with a plan for repair and the use of dampers to move the heat differently to increase the warmth in the downstairs portion of my house. He asked about the upstairs where I told him things were fine but he went up into the attic anyway! Bryan came back a few days later on time at 9:00 am on the coldest morning, materials and tools ready to go to work. By 11:00 am he had finished showing me photos of the completed repairs. So much more heat was coming in! I think my son may be able to leave his beanie at home when he visits next Christmas! But when I say above and beyond this is what I mean. Because of my answer about this room being cold and question about the lack of vents he took the time on his initial visit to check that aspect of things as well. Bryan agreed with me and found a vent in the en suite bathroom that had apparently been installed but covered over by the floor. I never even knew it was there! So after finishing the repairs he took the time to see if he could place the exact location of the vent in the floor so I could have it opened. Needless to say my family and I cheered at the thought of not having to use a bathroom that could double as a walk-in freezer! As he finished up he took a few more minuted to address and agree on the lack of downstairs vents, suggesting that a couple more could be added during my annual visits. With some final adjustments I would have something closer to a zone system and giving me a warmer and cozier house! I can't thank Bryan C. enough! Finally decided to have the 50+ year old duct work replaced. The old ducts were sagging and obviously leaking loads of heat in the Winter and A/C in the Summer. Plus in the Summer heat in the attic, any insulation (or lack of it) on the ducts meant that the air coming out of the vents was not NEARLY as chilled as it was when it was first pumped in. In addition, we FINALLY added a vent in the vent-less kitchen. Checked Yelp and decided to call a couple of companies. All were friendly enough on the phone, but there was something especially down-home about Moore. Sorry, I can't be more specific. It was just one of those things that internally you know these are the folks you are comfortable with. Matt came out and did the inspection on the antique duct work, we talked about my expectations and he drew up an estimate. This is not an inexpensive undertaking, but several factors make it worthwhile: Quieter air flow than from the old, echoing metal ducts; desired temperature is achieved more speedily meaning the furnace or A/C runs less, saving $$ and wear and tear on the furnace and A/C unit; and the new individual feeds were fine-tuned so the air flow into a small bathroom isn't the same as that feeding the large living room or the master bedroom. Rich C. and Arik G. handled the installation. They called while loading the truck in Santa Rosa to give an estimate of their expected arrival time in San Rafael. (Nice touch!) They took time to make sure our two dogs were comfortable with them as they came in and out and then got right to work. We spent some amount of time working to insure the kitchen vent placement was satisfactory. It wound up a bit further from the wall that we would have liked, but that was simply a limitation of our sharp roof slope. Space-wise they got it as close as physically possible. I'm satisfied. The project took much of the day with Marcelus J. rolling in later to assist and take part in the testing of airflow. (He had finished his job early and came to assist, something he says is the norm for Moore workers who he called "family.") A couple of items to be aware of if you are considering this type of project in Marin: Some projects (like duct replacement) can POSSIBLY be eligible for a rebate. Duct work by itself is not, BUT if you bundle it with other upgrade (insulation, and so on) you may get some cash back. Check 'www.marincounty.org/EnergyUpgrade.' And then call Moore. read more

To start off, I don't normally write reviews; but this company deserves one and all of the other five stars you see here! Both my wife and I have been impressed with Moore from start to finish! It started with me contacting them via their website at almost midnight. By the time I got up for work the next morning (7am) they had already responded. This happened again with the scheduling of our free estimate appointment. Responded to them at almost midnight, within the hour had a confirmation via email which they followed up with an actual phone call a couple days prior to confirm the appointment between 9-11 am. At that time, I was told they would call me prior to arriving, (yeah I have heard that before) they actually did. Not only did they say they would be there in fifteen minutes and actually were, but the technician (Randy) apologized he wasn't closer to the earlier portion of timeframe they had provided. While in our home Randy was not only informative, knowledgeable, and professional. He was kind to both our animals and children. We scheduled an install that day and everything we were told would happen between the estimate and install took place exactly as explained. The installers (Jorge and Kazu) called and arrived on time. They came into our home and worked in such a manner that both my wife (whom works nights) and baby were able to sleep while they went about their business. They politely put up with our dog barking at them each time they came in and out, and answered all of our older son's 8 million questions. The finished product is professional in every manner! The work is top notch, nothing exposed; there is probably less debris in the areas they worked than when they arrived. They cleaned all of our vents (even my brother's room which required a lot of stuff to be moved to get to it). They took extra time to make sure our other appliances which had to be turned off while they worked were functioning properly before they left. They even were about to go to the store to purchase something to relight our furnace (which is hard to relight) before my wife said we had something and come back to finish before they called it a day. As long as this company exists, no other company will work on our heating or A/C needs! The only other thing I have to say is THANK YOU for everything Moore! Looking for the best in quality and service? Look no further than Moore Heating & Air. This company is the best group I have had in my experience owning and renting a number of homes. Jason was the first to check out my old furnace in Nov 2014 and installed a new thermostat. He explained the benefits of a maintenance plan and I am so glad I signed up because my furnace was about 28 years old and probably on the way out. In February 2015 my system had its first maintenance check. Dale was the technician this time. He showed me in detail the problems of the old heating system, but tuned it up nicely to keep it going - which it did for the rest of the winter with no further problems. He made me aware that there wasn't much time before it failed completely and suggested I research brands. I felt lucky he didn't push to replace right then as these units are expensive! All went well until the first hot days of spring and I tried to turn on the air conditioning! Matthew was the tech on this call, who gave the old system a thorough check, dealing with a number of black widows in the process! The air system was shot - also 28 years old and not worth finding parts. This meant I needed to replace the whole HVAC system. Yikes and Cringe!! Then Matthew sat with me and carefully explained to me about California First - a program to assist homeowners with the expense of replace their HVAC systems - which is always a high cost. Such a relief - Financing through CA gov paid with a small increase to my mortgage payment. Good to know folks!! He called CA first and set everything up, took care of the paper work and we were on our way. Today the installers came just in time as a heat wave has set in in Cloverdale with temps reach low 100's. Micah and Bryan were the techs on this one and efficiently installed a great quiet HVAC system and repaired all of my house vents. I am delighted with such an efficient system with savings to my gas bills. One couldn't ask for better techs - Jason, Dale, Matthew, Micah and Bryan. Polite, respectful of me and my home, friendly and knowledgeable in their work and explained how everything worked so I could easily understand and make good decisions. I needed air conditioning for the house, so I reached out to 4 vendors through their web sites to obtain quotes. I used Yelp to find local vendors, and I picked ones that were close and had good reviews. I take the reviews with a grain of salt, but in this case, Moore's top rating turned out completely justified. They really are that good! First, a little about the competition. Out of the 4 vendors, Moore was the only one that called me back. Right away. Out of the remaining 3, one of them eventually wrote an email, and the other two I had to call on my own. I tried to set up a quote with one, but their availability was so far off, I did not want to wait that long. Another one was only available on the days of the week when I am out of town. Doesn't work for me, sorry. Moore set up a day and time with me that was convenient for me. On top of that, they called several days prior to our appointment to say that they were available sooner. I thought, if I ever have a problem with my AC system a few years down the line, who would I want to work on? The guy who is only available on Tuesdays, books 6 weeks out, and never answers his phone, or the team that has someone answering the phone 24/7 and makes the effort to reach me? Eric from Moore Heating & Air Conditioning came out to see the house, evaluated our needs, and provided us with some options and a quote, which included all the necessary work and was guaranteed, even if they ended up having to do unforeseen extra work. "Other Vendor" came out and gave a quote as well, which was lower, but they said we would first need an electrician to come out, run duct work, etc, which would be more work and more cost for me to bother with. I choose Moore for their all-inclusive quote, their responsiveness, and their guaranteed work, and I was not disappointed. I know my house was not an easy job, and crawling through the attic for a few hours wasn't fun, but Jesse, Oscar, Mikey and Travis got the installation done within the day, and I had a working AC system! A couple of weeks later, Marcelus came out to test the system with the third party inspector. He was very quick, very friendly, and really made me feel part of the "Moore Family." We discovered that our furnace was only blowing air (no heat to it) the afternoon of Monday, 12/31/2018. The next day was a holiday, so we had to wait until Wednesday to call contractors to get bids. I called two contractors, one of which was Moore. The first one I called gave me a vague quote over the phone but didn't really seem interested in coming out to take a look at my unit. My experience with Moore was much different. I got an appointment for Jason to come out on Thursday to look at our unit. Jason looked at our current unit and while there noticed that the gas line to our water heater wasn't up to code and he said that he could have his guys fix that for us at no charge! He also looked at our duct work in the attic and under the house to determine whether we would need to replace the duct work as well (we didn't!) Jason then sat down and gave me all of the options available. He explained the pros/cons of each unit as well as the possible rebates (rebates depend on the efficiency of the unit - the higher efficiency units are eligible for rebates). He also explained all of Moore's guarantees and there are many! As Jason left, he gave me his card and said to call his cell # if myself or my husband (who was not there) should have any questions. That evening I relayed the information to my husband and I'm pretty sure that I missed something, so we arranged to speak with Jason on Saturday morning (yes, he made himself available!). Jason answered all of our questions, so we chose a unit and we scheduled the install (we also opted to have our ducts cleaned) for Monday morning, yes Monday morning! Monday morning, Alex & Jorge arrived and got right to work installing the unit. They even moved our treadmill in order to get to the unit (and moved it back when finished). Both Alex & Jorge were courteous and communicative. They did a great job and the work space was so clean you never would've known that anything was done. Added bonus - they were not bothered by my two dogs who were very "interested" in the guys! While we only really got two quotes, we are extremely happy that we chose Moore - each person we dealt with was very helpful and kind. We would highly recommend them. read more

I'm updating my review because the solar and electrical part of the home upgrade project that we hired Moore to do for us is complete. I would still give them more than 5 stars. We have had only one follow up call to adjust our water heater and verify our blow-in insulation level. Jonathan took care of both of those things for us, quickly and efficiently. And the Moore electrical team is the best! After the City and PG&E inspected and approved our solar system to be turned on, Terrance came out and set all that up for us. When he was finished, he explained to me how to read the solar console and understand what it was telling me. He made sure all my questions were answered before he left, and he was kind, patient, and respectful. The following week, when we were having the house painted, the painters removed a light fixture and a whole circuit in my house went out. I couldn't figure out why, so I called Moore because I trusted them to figure out what was wrong and restore power for me. David came out right away and identified the problem. It turned out that it was completely unrelated to the work Moore did (it was an odd quirk about my house wiring), but David patched it together for me anyway and restored power to my circuit while the painters finished their work. A few days later, when the painters finished their work and reinstalled the light fixture incorrectly, again I lost power to my circuit, and again I called Moore. Steve and Chris came out right away and re-installed the light fixture correctly and restored power again. As usual, they were friendly, clean, efficient, patient, and respectful. We have been so happy with Moore's level of service and quality of work, that we were really thrilled to find out that they now do electrical work in addition to HVAC and solar. I will definitely call them for any electrical work we need done in the future. I have already seen the quality of work from several of their electrical technicians (Chris, Carlos, Terrance, David, and Steve) and I trust Moore to take care of any electrical repair or electrical work we need done in the future. I called Moore Heating and Cooling as I wanted a second opinion about my furnace. I found them recommended on "Angies list". Angie was right. Ryan looked over my furnace and reassured me the "severe rust condition" stated by the One Hour Heating rep was not so severe and that some rust was to be expected. He did a carbon monoxide test on the spot to assure me I was not in imminent danger. One Hour did not do this quick test. One hour wanted another tech to come in and remove and check the heat exchanger. I was told before Ryan came by another company to not let anyone remove the heat exchanger. Ryan also stated removing the heat exchanger would be a bad thing. He spent considerable time going thru the heater and repairing some simple issues. He told me I did not need a new heater right now but that my heater would probably fail in a year or two and that it was on a recall list. The recall occurred 1 year after it was installed and I was never given notice. Ryan was courteous, professional, and made sure my questions were answered. After thinking it over I decided to get a new heater now, rather than wait a year or 2 for it to stop working. A week ago Ronnie and Troy arrived right on time and went right to work removing the old heater and installing the new one. From the get go they told me what the procedure would be and asked if I had any questions. There were a couple extra things I asked them to do which they accommodated without question. In the installation process, Troy inspected the ducts. Upstairs were good but the ducting under the house was in bad shape with holes that were not repairable. A big factor was most of the duct work was laying on the ground, not suspended like it should be. I have probably been heating the ground under my house for many years! So an appointment on saturday was made and Troy came back to install the new ducts. He went above and beyond to make sure everything under the house was as it should be to correctly and efficiently heat my house. Update: I moved homes - and in doing so, needed an AC installed and we decided on getting solar put in. Pros: - Corinna!!!!! I got to see that awesome gal again. Love her. She and I got through the estimate and financing help super fast and she was snuggling our pups while doing so. - Danielle - Essentially our project manager - she took over and helped us from beginning to end, even when things got SUPER rough. I'm talking - she helped us with financing, fixing the financing, dealing with PG&E at their best and worst, going through a VERY extensive and time-consuming process with getting permits in Mendo County and so much more! After much learning, stress and running around and jumping hoops for all the different things - we are at the end and I can't be happier with how well she handled it all. - I wasn't there for the AC installers - but they did an awesome quick and painless job. Thank you whomever you were! - Chris and Frank - these dudes rocked. They spent a very long, tedious day having to switch out and upgrade our main electrical panel. And I will tell you - they were sent home by me very late (around 7:30pm) because I didn't want them losing out on spending time with their family. They were fully prepared to go until completion, but I honestly couldn't let them. They were super nice, totally chill with the fact that all our retired geezers were just sitting and watching do their job all day since there wasn't anything better to do since the electricity was being worked on. They came back and finished, and all was fine and dandy! They did such a clean and wonderful job! Thank you! Cons: - PG&E can be really irritating, but don't worry, Moore handles them well. - I'm trying to think of more cons... give me a moment... - Eh, I'll think of one eventually. Anyway - they did a great job, they dealt with a lot of the crap that was thrown at them from all different angles, including myself sometimes, and they kept very professional, very kind and very on-top of things. This is my SECOND yelp review for Moore within several months, and I am not typically someone who takes the time to review on yelp. This is only the third time I've ever written a review on Yelp... and I was motivated to write two of them on behalf of Moore. Moore installed a new furnace/AC at our San Anselmo home last fall, and they did an exceptional job. I mean exceptional, as in how does a company have every facet of the business experience covered the way Moore does? Quality components, top-notch, courteous, knowledgable salesperson (Corrina), skilled, courteous and focused installers... excellent company back-up and follow through on the inevitable glitches and unforeseen issues that can arise as a complicated and involved job like this progresses.. I can't think of a thing I would change or correct on our experience with Moore last fall. So...fast-forward - our extended family owns a beach house at Stinson Beach with no heating system. My brother and sister have been looking into having a furnace installed for awhile, but this winter the beach house heater was moved to the top of the to-do list. They got several estimates, which makes sense of course, but after hearing of our recent experience with Moore, there was really nothing to discuss. No one could think of a reason NOT to go with Moore. There was just this overwhelming sense of confidence, we absolutely knew the job would be done right, for the price quoted and that the installers would be top-notch. Our installers were Austin and Jamison. They were skilled, professional, respectful and willing to do whatever was necessary to provide customer satisfaction. It felt so reassuring to know for a fact before the job even began that it would go smoothly. Installing a home furnace and ducting is a huge deal- an undertaking that can feel overwhelming and daunting, not to mention very costly. A consumer's worst nightmare ist to get knee-deep into an expensive job and have it turn into a nightmare experience. I assure you this scenario will be avoided completely if you just keep it simple and choose Moore! You will be so glad you did. read more

I interviewed and go bids from multiple HVAC contractors in the area. Moore HVAC sent to top technicians and installers who worked for an entire week on what turned out to be an entirely custom job. The expectation that the system simply needed to be replaced as it was. The laws in Napa had changed since the original installation when the system had to be installed outside the garage. That meant that it was drawing in exterior air rather than heating the air in the house. It was not a closed system and in addition lacked proper ruturn air ducting. I do not know how it was ever approved as originally installed 20 years ago. The new installation includes a high efficiency dual speed furnace and air conditioning system with the furnace located in the garage. In addition the original home was built with the intention of putting ducts in an existing space to the upstairs but couldn't be used when built when the house was built due to local codes. The old system also was improperly installed without any return air ducting. All of was all corrected with return ductlng installed as it should have been and with return air from the second floor ensuring that temperatures throughout the house -- all rooms have the same temperature now.. All this was done for the original price, no extra charges and guaranteed with follow-up and system adjustment to be done as part of the installation on request and in 4 months. This was a large and essentially custom HVAC installation ($25K including rebates fro the State which covered a significant part of the cost. All of the submissions and paper work were handled by Moore and guaranteed with no extra charges whatsoever no matter what they found had to be done in completing the installation --- that is they received the rebates directly and I did not have to pay anything in advance and then have to wait for the State to reimburse me.ting and/or air conditioning problem. I could not give a better review/recommendation to any HVAC company nor to anyone who has any heating and/or air conditioning problem. read more

I cakked Moore because i had received PGE bills, during a three month period, of $549.00, $664.00, and, a whopping $781.00. To make matters worse than just the bill itself, as usual, we were freezing our butts off, depending upon which room of the house we were in. The house has always been that way. I called PGE and they said to see if something was wrong with the heater, otherwise, those were just higher bills because it was cold out. I made the appointment with Moore. Jason Grant came out to see what was wrong with our 24 year old gas heater. He was very nice. Checked everything out. Said problem was, that whoever installed the heater, 24 years ago, had put in a heater that was WAY to big for the square footage of the house, which explained why the heater cabinet was hot, the hall was warm, one bedroom was warm, one cool, one cold and the frontroom so cold we sat with blankets on, and the kitchen was miserably cold. We bought a new Mitsubishi ELECTRIC heater/air conditioner from Jason, along with a Halo water purification unit (My mom is on home hemodialysis and the machine uses tap water that is purified inside the NxStage unit to make the dialysate) and we got an Air Scrubber/purifier that is attached to the heater, as my Mom also has respiratory issues. Well, they came in and did great work. Neat, cleaned up after themselves, pleasant, professional. The water sample we sent into the lab for annual testing of the safety of the water used in the hemodialysis machine was better than before, the dialysate water is so clean it doesn't register on the bi-weekly test strips, there is less dust in the air, the ENTIRE house is the same, warm (or cooled) temperature, nobody is sitting under blankets in the frontroom, and the desired temperature levels are reached rapidly. I've measured the ambient temperature, going from room to room, and the temperature is the same everywhere. Best of all, this month's PGE bill, the ENTIRE BILL, was only $63.00. I own the Cedar Gables Inn, a 10,000 square foot mansion built in 1892. We are a Bed and Breakfast. It was Memorial Day weekend and we had a full house. Everyone checked out on Tuesday morning and that evening our 3 Ton air conditioner decided to die. It was 8:30PM. We had a full house coming up the next Friday and it was hot. I checked the web and found that there were only 3 diamond quality companies listed. I called all three of them and left messages asking for them to get back to me ASAP. Only 2 of the three responded Wednesday morning. The first company came out, looked at the problem and told me that he would write up an estimate and have it to me Wednesday evening. He told me that they could probably get it done by Friday, if they had the parts in stock. The second company, Moore Heating and Air Conditioning came out on time for his appointment. He looked at the problem, told me that it would take him about 15 minutes to have a quote. He was back in 13 minutes with a full quote and gave me a thorough explanation of the project. Because the AC unit was on the 4th floor roof on the back of the Cedar Gables Inn, it would take a crane to lift the unit off the roof and then lift the new one back up. Not an easy task. He said they could shuffle a few jobs around and get this done for us by Friday. While Moore was finishing up I went in the other room and called the first company. They told me that they could probably order some parts and get me up and running next Tuesday. I told them not to bother. I signed with Moore. They showed up on Thursday morning and completed the job Thursday afternoon. It was incredible. The new 3 Ton unit (same size as the old one) is putting out twice the amount of cool air because Moore took the time to fix some of the duct work. The work was done professionally, they cleaned up after themselves, and they followed through with all the paperwork. I was impressed. I highly recommend these guys. -Ken read more

Last year on Father's Day weekend, the extreme weather really taxed our 29 year-old air conditioning system and we knew we were going to have to replace it before this coming summer if we hoped to avoid the effects of another heat wave. Called Moore-Solar-Heating-Cooling and they sent "Dustin" out to give us an idea of what we needed to have done to replace our aging system. He was very personable and professional and explained things in terms we could understand and answered our questions. He examined our furnace and based on its size, recommended a 3 ton, 14 Seer AC system appropriate for matching our existing central heating system. Going with Dustin's recommendation, we scheduled the installation two weeks out and were told the front office would call several days before the installation date to reconfirm our appointment, and the installation team would call the morning they were scheduled to let us know what time to expect them. Both calls were received as promised. Within an hour of receiving the installation team's call, Tommy and Ivan arrived and began the process of assessing where all of our system's registers and the return were, dismantling our old system and installing the new one. They worked through the day, taking only a brief break for lunch. I was impressed with Moore's attention to detail, including the sealing of all vents to prevent loss of heat due to poor connections to the register openings. All I can say is Tommy and Ivan were great! Finally, Moore sent Marceles (sp?) out a couple of weeks later to check the system and to ensure the pressure generated by the whole system met code. Again, very professional and completed the test in less than 30 minutes. We were very impressed with the professionalism demonstrated by Dustin, Tommy, Ivan and Marceles and glad we had them assigned to our job. And we fully expect Father's Day to be a lot more comfortable this year and well into the future. read more
