Wow! Another fabulous dining experience in Bend! The service was tops from everyone at the restaurant. We had spectacular meals. I look forward to trying other options though I'm not sure I'm going to try another soon. I had the mango chili grilled cheese and it was absolutely amazing. Pretty sure I'll get it again next time. My husband had the Kobe Sisters burger. I was very impressed with his as well. Flavors were fabulous! If you can, come in with cash. It's not necessary but they'll donate 3% of their cash sales to local charities. That makes me want to eat there more often. read more

First, food was good. Second, service was good. But adding 4% to my bill for using a credit card is rather ridiculous. I travel for business all over the US and have never seen this before. It's rather insulting, to be honest. It isn't the money, it's the principal. The owner said we can always use cash. It's 2023. Who uses cash on a regular basis, especially for business meals? Cute theme. I've been to this restaurant about 4 times and the last two times was disappointing. The prices are very very high. I ordered the dinner fried chicken and it was raw the last time, this time I went for lunch and my meatloaf was burnt and not so tasty as well as my daughters cheeseburger meal. Her burger was dry with a piece of cheese and burnt. I also feel the service was very much lacking. It did not seem our waitress was happy to be there nor was she very attentive. We have been regular long-standing customers of Moose Sisters. Love that we can carry on a conversation with friends, because it is always quiet. However, we will only go on rare occasions now. The hours are odd--who starts breakfast opening at 9 a.m.? And they have priced us out. They've always been expensive, but yet worth it to us. Now they are more expensive, smaller servings, and no longer worth it. We feel like we are being charged extra to pay for their lack of business and to keep the place open. I'm traveling for work and came here for a solo dinner tonight. I was greeted by a pleasant hostess who faltered at seating a single woman. She tried to cover it by saying she thought I was meeting someone, but not the best way to greet a single diner. Not a big deal, except it was basically repeated by the server. She greeted me then said, can I get you a drink while you're waiting? Except, I wasn't waiting and there was no indication on the table that I was. I don't mind eating alone, but some people do, and I think restaurant staff should be cognizant of this. Regardless, I had the prime rib salad, which was good. Not great, but interesting. There was a bit too much dressing, but the roasted tomatoes and roasted cashews were a nice addition. Overall a pretty good low-carb dinner. read more

I agree with one of the other reviews about trying to be upscale but lots of stuff piled up and around. The place needs to be neatened up. They were not very busy yet our food still was slightly lacking. I had the elk burger, it was a pressed frozen patty. In this day and age, for our dining out experiences and food, you need to be above the norm. The restaurant is also difficult to find. Additional signs ground level or in the parking lot (which is a distance away) would help. On the other hand our server was very good. It certainly isn't her fault that the food isn't anything to write home about or recommend to others. We will probably come back for one more visit. The restaurant has the opportunity to have a very nice atmosphere but they are missing it. It feels like a cross between upscale and Denny's. read more

Wow what a hidden gem!! Our experience here was amazing. The martinis are poured large and were delicious. We started out with spinach artichoke dip, which was great. At our table we had two orders of the crab ravioli SO GOOD, the fried chicken- probably some of the best I've ever had, and the prime rib. Then finished it off with key lime pie and chocolate martinis, so yummy. We cant wait to come back and try more items off the menu. read more

This is our second time here normally i would have gotten the same as last time since it was great. I tried the New Orleans style pasta. It was absolutely great. Spent over $200 here. Service was atrocious. After waiting over 45 minutes to even place our order. (We waited at least 10 minutes before anyone came out to even take our drink orders)..in an empty restaurant. Every single order was wrong, we got things we never paid for, we were charged for items we didn't get, and one person at our table never even got the meal he ordered. We mention this to the manager/owner and she didn't seem to care..blaming it on being a new business and them working out the kinks. That's fine, but she didn't need to charge us for things that we didn't get. We ended up eating the whole bill after some disgruntlement with the manager. No discount, no apologies, not a thing. She actually mentioned that she didn't want our business if we were going to complain like that. Wow, extremely unprofessional and rude. This is a new place and you can tell they aren't from Central Oregon or anywhere nice. I have a feeling they aren't going to last in our friendly town. We will never be back. Save your money and spend it elsewhere. Mr. Owner had put a lot of money in this place and the decor is good, and food decent. My family has been coming here since they first opened. Quality is consitently good. We always seem to find something that keeps each of us happy. Bartender does a good job. I like their 'Old Spice' cocktail -- it tastes like an atomic fireball jawbreaker candy. The arugula house salad is my go-to here. So glad to have this beautiful restaurant in our town. Came in for Happy Hour (3-6 pm). Called to make reservations to be seated at the sunny balcony, and got out wish. In a good day you can clearly see Sisters, so it's really heart warming. As we were seated, Angela took great care of us. She attended to not only us but also our young son. Very attentive service, accommodated to our request. For drinks we took the house Sangria, this one is made of Champaign and orange juice with fresh berries. I personally didn't like it, my husband said it was ok. Next, we chose the house arugula salad with the cold beef sliders, and a side of the fried basket. We've changed the shoelaces fried with onion rings (which were delicious). Our son got chicken tenders and fries, he was thrilled. I've tasted it and loved it as well. The one thing I would ask if any change we make to the menu changes the price, our fries basket as charged extra, and we just wanted to know about it before hand. The food at Moose Sisters is usually pretty good, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. More than once, when arriving with a group, we have been made to feel unwelcome. On Labor Day weekend, we had had a large family gathering and I suggested we all go to Moose Sisters for lunch. When we arrived, the owner made it clear that we should have made reservations, even though there was only one other couple in the entire restaurant. My husband was ready to leave, but I encourage him to give them a chance. Not once did the owner make us feel welcome. You would think that a large group would mean a large number of orders and in turn a great tip. But she didn't look at our group that way. She was less than welcoming for the rest of our visit. We had a 6:15 reservation for people, when dining with friends, we like to have a drink and sit and chat, were reminded several times that they close at 8:00pm promptly on a Saturday night! At the end of our time my friends again brought up the weak drinks to waitress. She brought the owner over she was defensive from the get go-her body language was closed and aggressive-she refused to even acknowledge my friends' points about the drinks. I have never witnessed such a lack of professionalism in a restaurant. She left our table in a huff. When one friend went to the bathroom she confronted him and accused him of bullying - yet she had been the aggressor at the table. Under-cooked chicken made my husband ill. My friend and I dined there on Oct 12. We both ordered the fried chicken as my friend had ordered it in the past and the waitress raved about it. It's a generous portion as it's a leg, wing, thigh and breast. The breading is delicious and the sauce is as well. I at the breast, which was cooked to perfection, she ate a thigh. She commented that it looked a bit under cooked near the bone but continued to eat it, avoiding that area. Upon returning home I gave the other 3 pieces I had not eaten to my husband. He was watching TV in a mostly dark room. He started with the leg, thinking to himself it tasted off. He then ate the wing, and left the thigh. At 5am he was awakened with terrible stomach cramps and spent the next hour back and forth to sit on the toilet. The remainder of the day the cramps continued. I pulled the bones out of the garbage and, as you can see, found the leg to be VERY under-cooked. It was not ready for consumption. I don't know how my piece was perfect and the others were not done, but that's how it was. I called and spoke to Marlene (one of the owners) at Moose Sisters, explaining to her what had happened. She did not ask for any details, nor did she comment on my husbands condition, she quickly said "thank you" and that was it. No apology, no offer of a refund or a gift certificate for our "troubles". I wondered if she believed what I told her about the "raw" chicken so I emailed her the pictures. I received no response. This is not the way I expect to be treated. We will never eat here again. The food is great. The view is nice. The staff is friendly. . . . The owner is the most aggressive and arrogant person we have ever dealt with. Her actions tonight were enough to make us never go back (and we use to eat here every month or two and bring lots of friends). Here's the story- our table of 6 ordered 2 bloody Mary's. Both women took a drink and agreed something was wrong with them as they tasted bad. We informed our waitress Summer (who was kind and helpful the entire night) and she returned them to the bar. When the bill came, both drinks were still on it. We asked about removing them and Summer informed us that the owner said to keep them on. We thought that was strange so we asked to speak to her. She approached our table and from the start had no interest in anything we had to say. She started telling us how we denied a taste of the drink before ordering, and her Bloody Mary mix is delicious and we should have taken a taste. I was shocked at her blind arrogance and lack of interest to even consider that her staff had made a mistake. We tried to explain that we were never offered a taste test and that the drinks were not good. Even as we spoke she backed away from the table as if we were wasting her time and she had better things to do. She continued to interrupt us, telling us that we were offered a taste, and she has been doing this for 20 years and stands by her staff and even mentioned that we were a difficult table. Anyway, by the end on that conversation, we agreed there was no possible way we'd ever return. We thanked Summer on our way out (who looked scared) and went on our way. There are plenty of restaurants in bend with good food and views, and owners who will treat you with respect. Please choose one of them. read more

This used to be a good restaurant. Not on my last and final visit. The food took forever to come out, I mean a really long time that we had to flag someone down to ask. Meanwhile one of the owners, Marlene is roaming around and never once checked on us, or even offered a consolation for our delayed meal. She certainly found the time to adjust napkins, while ignoring us. We watched another table wait forever for their food as well and no one ever checked on them. Having a problem in the kitchen is one thing but being ignored by the owner, while she walked all around us is another. Wow, what a hidden gem! Went here yesterday for lunch "with the girls." There ended up being 6 of us and they gladly split the birthday girl's ticket up - after they'd already rung up each tab. Excellent service - and the food was FABULOUS! I had the Chinese chicken salad which came in a huge bowl with cabbage and glazed cashews. Everyone at our table ended up taking home a "doggie bag," as the servings are super-generous! I'll definitely be back!! Update: took my husband here for dinner last night. We had some excellent crab cakes for an appetizer. He had the halibut entree, and I had the halibut fish and chips. He said his fish was cooked perfectly, which halibut frequently is not. My fried fish was puffy and light, with shoestring fries. Too much for me to finish!! We really should have shared a dessert, but each of us got one - his was a strawberry rhubarb crisp and mine a carrot cake parfait. Again, both were delicious and way too much food. I regret that this review is unsatisfactory as I had been looking so forward to dinning here. They have been advertising on the radio nonstop, so I thought I would check it out. I did look at the menu before we headed out and knew the prices were higher than some of the dinning downtown, but thought, 2 sisters family owned, lets support them and see what it is all about. My husband ordered a special cocktail, $15.00 which seemed pretty steep, it was very sweet. Our starter was $18.00 and was okay, spinach parm dip. He ordered the KOBE burger ($23.00), I order the Alaskan Halibut ($34.00). I stepped away to go to the ladies room, came back and the meal had arrived, it was nearly stone cold. The piece of fish was the size of a deck of cards, and it did not have the side order that I requested, in lieu of that they gave me shoestring sweet potatoes, also cold. I wanted to send it back, but had trouble flagging down our waitress, who seemed pretty new to the work, but she was very nice. When the owner came by and asked how it was, I asked if this is the side that I requested? She said no, that was a mistake, and brought me a small plate of the roasted potatoes, about 5 or 6 of them steaming hot, making my meal seem even colder. My husband enjoyed his Kobe Burger, and I tried it, agreed it was the way I should have gone. We were stunned to see the extra charge of $3.45 (I think, did not keep the receipt) and that they did not accommodate the fact the side was incorrect. We tipped our waitress the 20% as we never want to take it out on the server, but over $100.00 for a meal with one cocktail? I think they need to move to the WESTSIDE. We eat gluten free and the ravioli was delicious! It's easy to ruin GF pasta. Presentation of all the dishes was great as well. We will be back to try more items. Great variety on the menu with a number of gluten free options and desserts. Our server, Katrina, was wonderful and very knowledgeable on GF options. We highly recommend this restaurant. read more

PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE! Words cannot explain what horrible experience my friends and I had here. We decided to go out to a "nicer" dinner on a Friday night. We made a reservation for 6:30. We arrived at that time and were seated immediately. The menu prices are much higher than most restaurants in Bend but hey, we were willing to try it. We ordered the "Fork and Knife" to start out for $18. It arrived on a plastic tray from what seemed to be the dollar store. It was toasted sandwich bread with Brie spread on them along with a few clusters of red grapes and a sliced Granny Smith apple.... $18?!!! We then get our food. I ordered the Halibut fish and chips for $24 and it came served in a plastic fish shaped bowl (again probably from the dollar store) with what tasted like frozen fries. The fish was AWFUL. Sooo chewy and overcooked and the worst fish and chips I've ever had. My friends ordered crab ravioli for $33 and a burger for $26. It came with 6 ravioli and the burger was incredibly bland. On top of the shitty food, the service was AWFUL. We were asked multiple times in a row if we were ready to order and our waters were never refilled. When discussing whether or not we wanted to order more drinks amongst each other, our server overheard us and said "the bar is actually closed". We asked what time they closed and she replies "8:00, but we start early". It was 7:30. Made sense as to why she was rushing our orders but also... why even book a reservation an hour prior to your closing at a "nice" restaurant? At check out we asked for her to split the bill. We were charge $2 each as a "check out fee". I understand if that's the way they operate but perhaps mention it before people choose to split it. I cannot believe they're still open.
