Great service and a Pino . Great find. Traditional fine food with a great wine selection. Not packed, great for an intimate dinner.

The 'OG' double has those perfect crispy, lacy edges that you can never quite get at home. Simple, no-nonsense, and fairly priced compared to everywhere else in Bend right now. Pro tip: Don't skip the loaded fries.

Look. I've eaten burgers in a lot of places. Airports. Gas stations. One time outside a golf course…read morethat didn't even technically sell burgers. But this place in Bend... this is serious burger territory. First thing you notice: they're not messing around with the menu. Just burgers that understand what a burger is supposed to be. Double patty. Brioche bun. Cheese doing its job. America. I ordered The O.G. because I respect tradition. American cheese, caramelized onions, burger sauce. Simple system. Works great. Like a pickup truck that starts every time. My buddy got The Popper which is basically what happens when a jalapeño popper and a burger start collaborating. Bacon, jalapeño cream cheese, ranch. It looked like something a scientist made to test the limits of happiness. Fries were solid. Soda cold. No weird nonsense. Just burgers doing burger things. Only reason it's 4 stars instead of 5 is because if I lived closer I would probably eat here too often and that feels medically irresponsible. I'd give it 6 stars if Yelp understood burgers better.

Between the exceptionally good food at Hook and Plow, a most pleasant hotel experience, and a memorable trip to the High Desert Museum; our trip to Bend turned out to be a pleasure instead of the miserableness I expected. We had the Steak Tartare, the Chef's Board, the Blackend Crabcake, the Pear and Burrata Salad, and the Bone-in Pork Chop. We each got the cheesecake for desert and split the other dishes. This was more than enough for the three of us and we left full, happy, and with three large to-go boxes. The flavors of the various dishes were amazing. While all the dishes were vvery good, the standouts to me were the steak Tartare, the Pear and Burrata Salad, and the Cheesecake.

Loved this place!…read more We've been having mediocre meals out in Sunriver so it was nice to finally find a spot that had great food, service and vibe. Service was lovely - warm, friendly and attentive. Shout out to Logan for being great with my daughter as well. I ordered the lunch combo special and highly recommend - you can 2 items off a list of 5-6 for $18. I had the tempura battered fish tacos (2) and a cup of seafood chowder. Tacos were well portioned but still handheld and well seasoned. Chowder was delicious and the croutons were perfectly crunchy and buttery. My daughter had the kids fish and chips and the portion was excellent - fish to batter ratio was great and she loved the fries. The restaurant is clean, airy and well decorated. My daughter loved the cow print wallpaper in the restroom too. Highly recommend if you are in town, lovely meal.

Food: Really good artisan cuisine, this is way better than typical "pub-fare" Their pizza is amazing too! Grab a beer, get some grub, and grab a shirt before you leave. You must go there when you're downtown window shopping. Prices: $$ What you'd expect for such a great place! Parking: This is downtown, so before rush-hour, it's not bad (be mindful of the parking time posted on the signs). You probably don't need reservations, I never have, but if you have a large party, might be a good idea! Very enjoyable!

Well, except the wings which were a little dried out, but still edible. The fries were hot and fresh, the Nashville chicken sandwich had a great spice and was freshly made, the size caesar salad was small, but fresh and flavorful, and the Margherita pizza was one you'd expect in a brewery, but won't make you think you're in Italy. We didn't partake in beer since we were off to work in the afternoon, but looking at the menu, I didn't see anything that was for me. I'm a wheat beer fan and didn't see anything that would entice me to return for a beer later.

I'm still a fan of supporting local culinary training schools, like Elevation. But it is also fair…read moreto say that since Elevation has raised their dinner prices in the last 18 months from $19 to $21 to $23 and now to $30, one might fairly expect more for both food quality and service at that price than was delivered in our last two experiences here. Last term we had under seasoned food on some dishes, served undercooked on others, and warm instead of hot on still others. Elevation has now also changed their lunch service to a la carte ordering from the small lunch menu. A nice change but ordering that way with shared small plate to start, two just so-so entrees and two soft beverages brought my friend's and my lunch tab above $40. Service for this meal, while friendly, was lackluster and the food just OK. I realize this is a teaching school, so is CIA in Hyde Park and the SF culinary academy and the myriad of other schools, from big names to community college based where I've enjoyed meals over the years. I expect neither food nor service to be perfect at culinary school dining rooms and that is part of the fun, being guinea pigs for the students. But now for $30 prix fixe at dinner and the prices at lunch (fish tacos = $14, burger = $15) I expect both to be better than they have been during the last three meals at Elevation. In fact, after dropping $150, with wine before tip, for four people at dinner most recently our out of town friends commented that they probably wouldn't consider this as a dining destination next time they were in Bend given the cost for just OK food in that meal and learning curve service. We'd agree were we visitors, we might think twice before spending $60 / couple for the food alone. As residents we'll continue to go once a quarter, as opposed to twice as we did before, to support the students. But with the myriad of other dining options in Bend at this price point, it's fair to have higher expectations. Were this any other table service restaurant that raised menu prices by 33% in less than two years, diners would have fair expectations of elevated (no pun intended) return for the price increase. THIS N THAT: 1) Lunch menu used to mirror dinner menu but lunch is now an entirely different menu. Nice change. But you can also end up dropping $30 at lunch. Mains (for example, burgers and cobb type salad) are in the $14 - $15 range, add $5 if you have dessert and another $8 if you also pick from the starter menu and the total can quicikly approach that $30 mark. (lunch menu: http://elevationbend.com/menu/lunch-menu/) 2) Summer term means outdoor dining is available for lunch and dinner.

I hate being the first patron inside an establishment, and we arrived promptly at opening; however, it didn't take long before other customers starting taking seats - both inside to watch the World Cup and outside on their patio. We had good service and quickly got our order in, which included two flights (10 pours per person), wings to start, Mac and Cheese with pulled pork for me, and nachos for him. The food was absolutely dynamite! It's exactly what you want out of bar food - warm, comforting, and so delicious. Food paired well with our flights and although we couldn't customize them, I appreciated that I helped us explore a lot of the menu. We ended up leaving with two many 4- and 6-packs. The brewpub is more casual and relaxed, and you can tell that it's well loved by how many people there were on a Monday early afternoon!
