    Spam Musubi

Good food. Musubi was very well made and didn't fall apart. Great service. We will definitely be back.

Been here a few times and it never disappoints. Chicken Katsu is delicious! The staff is always friendly and welcoming. They also cater, so I had them cater my partners bday party!!! Sooooooo good!!! Favorite spot in downtown Portland!!

Chicken katsu plate lunch, Deep Fried Spam Musubi, Tofu Katsu Musubi, and 2x Classic Spam Musubi. Utter perfection!

This place has the most phenomenal musubi I have had in ages. Everything is beyond delicious. I would particularly recommend anything with their chicken katsu, it is delightfully crispy and fried to order. Oh! and the mac salad is the best, no contest, including any restaurant in Hawaii. Also I'm not generally a fan of tofu, but the tofu katsu musubi completely turned me around. And the deep fried musubi is simply superb! Service was super fast and friendly; the chef made the feast in the attached photo in less than 7 minutes.

Everything is delicious but my favorite is definitely the deep fried spam musubi! Have to get one every time we're in Portland!

They also claim that they make matcha ice cream in-house, I will have to try it next time. I ordered a large ube bingsu to share with my husband. First of all, the presentation of the bingsu was perfect. We figured that the whole bingsu measured to about the size of my husband's hand! As I was taking the bingsu to my table, I was worried that the ice cream would tumble to the floor. It was like an art. I absolutely love the presentation! The ube ice cream scoop was huge. Sitting on top of the perfectly sculpted shaved milk, it was almost too gorgeous to eat. The shaved milk was the correct texture. It came with a ribbon of red bean along the edge of the bowl. I was impressed that the shaved milk was built to the edge of the bowl. The bowl was nicely chilled and was quite deep. I think a large could easily serve 3 people but 2 people was just right for my serving :) There was also red bean around the ice cream. The bingsu also had some shredded coconut, sliced almonds and some sprinkle of ube dust. It was so perfect that I will be using my picture as my wallpaper on my cell :) The best thing about bingsu is that I don't have guilt after eating it. It is just like having a large glass of cold milk with red beans. I think if they also come with some mochi pieces, then it would have been 100% perfect.

A minimal cat theme is cute, but could be a lot more meowsome with more depth to the decor. Quaint dessert stop when walking Hawthorne.

It honestly reminded me a lot of the decor of dessert shops Korea, so I felt right at home. We ordered a small Mango-cheese cake Bingsu to share, and it was bigger than we expected. The presentation was impressive and we finished it all in no time at all. The Bing Su ice was fine and ceramy, while the mangos were ripe and fragant. Oveall, we liked it a lot and would return to try more flavors when we are in the area.

I could see someone behind the kitchen curtain standing. There is a large Touch screen standing near the counter so maybe there's no customer service? The menu has a lot of options and some are confusing with the photos. We rang the bell to ask for service and some girl employee came out with a snappy attitude, guess she was on her break? We asked her to clarify which is the menu item matches the mango on display (the fake food sculpture). She said it's the mango cheesecake which didn't sound good. We just wanted mango and the employee said just order a regular with mango. Order arrived and the same female server slammed the tray right in front of us. For a first time the impression was horrible. Bingsu flavor was ok. Everything was portioned into a separate cup which is odd. The mango was also just a small portion. The milk shaved ice wasn't as finely shaved with ice chunks. Flavors could have been better. Ingredients portioned to save on costs. Probably won't be back anytime soon. Expensive for bad service and quality

We picked up the large order of the Kahlua Pork, and the Hamburger Steak, for a quick dinner on the way back from the river with the kids. We were very happy with both quantity and quality, as well as how quickly our take-out order was ready, and the combination of both entrees ended up being (more than) enough for two adults and three kids, which is pretty darn impressive, for the price! Both the pork and the Hamburger Steak came with rice and mac, of which the former was wonderful, and the latter not to my tastes: kinda bland, and too much mayo. The Hamburger Steak was thick and meaty, and the gravy-like sauce, over rice, is pretty heavenly, especially with some Sriracha to complement it. And you really can't go wrong with Kahlua Pork anywhere. Although I tend to avoid pork, my wife raved about Ohana's, and the always-picky palates of our kids were apparently appeased, since their plates were practically licked clean. That's the best compliment you can ask for! I'm satisfied enough with Ohana that we will definitely be back, and not just for the shaved ice.
