I purchased this gorgeous design Couch at Designer Plus Consignment in San Francisco - but needed the Couch moved to Santa Cruz. Their service was excellent! They had to get the couch up a set of stairs that turned a corner - but they did it perfectly. The couch was carefully wrapped in plastic so it was in terrific shape. Moover's, Inc. helped me move three times in the last 3 years due to very unfortunate events. In 2009, I moved from the Benicia townhome I was renting because it was put up for auction. In 2010, I moved from the Benicia condominium I was renting, because an awful downstairs neighbor didn't like children and my kids and I couldn't keep walking on eggshells. Lastly, during July 2011, my landlord's foreclosure of their residential home, left me and my two kids to forfeit our Disneyland vacation to move out of their rental home, so they could move in. So now I'm in an apartment complex. Small, but I've learned to heavily downsize. Because of all the moving, I have never been able to take my kids on any vacation post-divorce 2008. My son is now 7-years old. But the important thing is, we have a roof over our heads. This last move had to be the quickest move ever from a 3-bedroom 2-1/2 bath home to a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. Juan, Manuel and Pedro packed up the furniture in the house in 1-hour flat and moved me into the apartment in a matching 1-hour. Pretty amazing to see all the furniture being assembled and placed exactly to my instructions. Nothing broken or damaged. A single mom like me couldn't ask for better to make my life easier!!! The staff I worked with at Moovers, Inc., were all professional and easy to work with. Our move was from Elverta (near Sacramento), CA to Austin, TX. The assessment of weights and costs was very thorough, and included several tips on how to save money (assessing value of heavier items and whether to move or sell and rebuy, using our own boxes, the costs of packing durable items vs. more fragile items, where best to focus our time if we're boxing up a portion of the load ourselves). On arrival, the truck driver, Michael, creatively navigated his rig into the tight space in the apartment complex, letting traffic through, and quickly moving as needed to let individuals out of blocked spaces. The local company they subbed to unload the truck were quick and nimble, and one could easily see the friendly rapport as they egged each other on to stay on task. All were friendly and my whole family of six felt at ease around them. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others. read more

Amazing! We moved from Fairfield to Suisun City last summer, and there were many difficult items to move that Moovers handled with ease and respect. Some items included aquariums, huge terrariums, glass and fragiles, and above all a HUGE antique upright oak piano that had to seriously weigh 1000lbs+. They did not mark/dent doors, walls, or the new hardwood floors and tile. The move was flawless. The best part was that they had a great attitude, and were fast workers-which was appreciated since they are paid by the hour. Synopsis - excellent service, all items arrived in good condition, nothing broken, no hidden fees. When we decided to move from the Bay Area to Atlanta, my husband and I interviewed some national companies as well as Moovers Inc. Moovers Inc was very honest and straight-forward when we got our estimate. The representative had good recommendations for what we should have the movers do and what we should do ourselves, and she was honest about how we could save ourselves some money by using our own moving insurance. She also had good suggestions for our "hard to pack" items. Moovers Inc had the lowest estimate and was the only company that didn't make us want to take a shower to wash off the slime after talking to them. On moving day, the guys packed our stuff very quickly; they didn't goof around. We had them pack our dishes, framed pictures, and furniture. We had done the rest ourselves. Then stuff was packed and on the truck in less than 4 hours. Then they stored our things for 8 months in their Bay Area warehouse while we did some traveling. When we finally arrived in Atlanta, they drove our things across country and delivered on the agreed-upon date. Everything arrived in great condition - nothing missing, nothing broken, even all of our fragile wine glasses made it. I had heard horror stories about moving companies charging extra money at delivery and how you should expect a certain percentage of your breakables to be broken. None of that happened with Moovers Inc. I had an excellent experience with Moovers Inc and would recommend them in a heartbeat. read more

We used Moovers Inc to move our house contents from San Francisco to Seattle in June (2015). To be upfront, the actual movers on the day of pickup and subsequent delivery (via National Van Lines) was just fine. We paid a lot of money for 'packing services' to be included as part of this move. On the day of packing (June 16th) the crew showed up - seemed like 3 nice enough guys - we even bought them lunch and gave a good tip. However, much to our huge disappointment when our stuff showed up in Seattle: - We found that my wedding ring(!) had been stolen from a downstairs bathroom in addition to a new bottle of cologne. We know this because all my other cologne bottles showed up and my ring was always in the same place in the same locker. I was so busy in days leading up to the move I forgot to pack it away myself. - Most of the electronics were packed without any protective wrapping (paper or bubble wrap) - My printer was smashed and stereo receiver was broken. Needless to say the stolen items has caused huge upset for us - you expect that a 'licensed and insured' company such as Moovers Inc would use reliable and trustworthy packing crews that are being let into your home. Its equivalent to daylight robbery. Now you may ask why i wasn't wearing said wedding ring - I typically wear my engagement ring and leave my wedding ring for special occasions. Unfortunately Moovers Inc were neither understanding or helpful on the stolen items - because i didn't meet all of the following criteria (per them): - Able to prove items were tendered for shipment - this is normally done with the inventory or in this case should have been listed on a high value inventory form - Able to prove that we failed to deliver the items - this is normally done at check off with items noted as missing, or cartons that appear to have been tampered with - Must be a determinable value - which you have placed but there is no support of the amounts claimed I was never notified about a 'high value inventory form', didn't have any checklist or receipts for my wedding ring bought 10 years ago. Unfortunately it really is my word against theirs. They did reimburse for the electronics but nothing on the stolen items. To make it worse the Sales guy (Charles) never returned my calls - everyone is friendly until they get their check and then nobody cares. read more

Having completed our move just hours ago today and being extremely satisfied customers, I thought we should do our bit to give glowing reviews to Moovers Inc. When my wife and I decided to move from Berkeley, CA to Portland, OR, it took us quite some time to zero in on our movers. Like all thorough people, we did our homework in comparing different movers in terms of quotations, moving times, word-of-mouth and Yelp reputations. Moovers Inc seemed to have hit-or-miss reviews, but we still decided to have them give us a quote and add them to our options spreadsheet. Turned out to be a great decision. Just FYI for people reading this review for long distance moves, it always helps to have your stuff moved in a shared van in terms of the price point, as opposed to individual movers. Of all our mover estimates, since Moovers Inc seemed to have the best combination of end-to-end pick-up to delivery times (4 days), price and quality of service (based on our interactions with them), we decided to go with them. The price also turned out well for us since we were close to the 2000-lb minimum weight limit. Apart from the standard 60c/lb insurance for free, they also have additional insurance packages for moving valuable goods, but we were happy with the basic coverage and moving the valuables (TV et al.) ourselves. A big thumbs up for Mike (the estimator), Anthony (the person at the office who co-ordinated the pick-up/delivery dates), and two big thumbs up for the guys who actually did the move - Tom and Carlos at Berkeley, CA, and Chris and John at Portland, OR. At delivery in Portland, since the truck could not get closer than 75 meters, Chris and John had a hard job carrying our stuff over - so special thanks to them. I must also add that at both ends, the movers were very swift and professional in the way they handled our stuff - not one scratch on either our stuff or either of our houses. Scheduled move 1month prior. Moovers cancelled my move the day before. No accountability.

Based upon the reviews, we had originally wanted to use Moovers several years ago when we came to California from the East Coast. We were a little concerned by the self-estimate, however, and ended up going with a local company who would come and do the estimate themselves. That move went ok, but when we needed to move again, we called them up. After a few false starts from a communication perspective, we got through the (somewhat) painful process of the self-estimate with their assistance. We scheduled a range of dates when they might arrive and waited. Early that week, we finalized that they would come in and pack on one day and then move on the next day. This was a bit of a pain as we required moving permits to keep people from parking in front of our building, but they recommended Moving Permits (http://movingpermits.com) and that became a non-issue. The day they arrived, we were informed that they we were going to get packed *AND* moved on the same day. This was great news. Tom and his crew were amazing. Not only were they good at what they do (and have fantastic tools to expedite the process and protect your things: pads, shrink wrap, Speedy Pack boxes, etc.), but the entire group of five guys was positive, friendly, respectful, efficient and all around upbeat. Toward the end of the day, they asked if we wanted our stuff delivered the next day. The driver needed to get his mandatory sleep break, but they said after that, they'd make the trek up (400 miles away) and deliver our stuff the next day. We had someone meet them on the other end. By the time we arrived, all of our belongings were in the new house basically in the right place (bedrooms, living rooms, etc). We ended up being under on the estimate in terms of both weight and packing count. It represented about a $700 difference between their not-to-exceed estimate and what it actually was. They were willing to stand by their estimate, but given that we felt somewhat responsible for the estimate being low and our overall pleasure with the experience, I had no problem paying the difference. One or two small things were broken or damaged in the process, but having moved somewhat frequently throughout my life, I know that it is almost inevitable and don't hold it against them. Overall, it would have been difficult to imagine the process going more smoothly or quickly. I imagine the experience you have is fully a function of the team you get, but the company is doing something right with the crew we got. We will absolutely contact them again if we move again. read more

Okay, so I should admit right up front that, based on horrible experiences in the past, I am pretty antagonistic about moving companies in general. However, as we were moving a 5 bedroom house to a much smaller hillside home only 30 miles away, and it absolutely had to be done in one day - I reluctantly agreed to go along with my husband's choice of movers. After Michael came and surveyed our home, explaining the costs in detail, Moovers submitted the least expensive bid, and were incredibly responsive to our repeated contacts regarding tree limbs in the way, the steep slope of the driveway, and my over-the-top suggestions for how to do their business. Oh, and 8 friendly, competent guys showed up: head guy TOM (awesome customer handling!)... with a crew that works together alot - Jason, Hector, Mike, another Mike, Howard, Darrel, and Jake. They drove 3 of the larger 26 ft trucks up the driveway, along with the 14 ft truck we didn't need to use as a shuttle after all. We even rented a small Uhaul, (which we used but only because it was there) because I was so nervous about how this would all work out. It was so easy that my husband was able to run off and do an errand while I just sat on a chair calling out room names as the guys came walking out of each truck. TRICKS AND TIPS: I bought room label kits from Uhaul, drew a map of the new house, and labeled each room where the box should end up. For my own use, and as a backup, I wrote in black pen the contents of the box. After the first hour of unloading, the guys could tell each other where each box would go. My husband joked that we wish we had a voice activated assembler like Tom had: "go assemble the master bed frame" - and it was done! Bottom line, the whole job came in under their quote, in 10 rather than 13 hours, and with not a nick or break in anything at all. We packed our own things, and it should be noted that the only breakage was three wine goblets that I packed and then brought over in my own car! Good grief. So for those nervous nellies like me, take a breath, call Moovers and let them handle your move. (And yes, I give my husband 5 stars for insisting on this one!) read more

So I've used Moovers for local move in the Bay Area. The moovers were on time, and that's basically the only good thing about them. Here is a list of bad things that happened: 1. They packed our kitchen and left behind 3 or 4 drawers full of things. 2. Broke the coffee table top glass and then shrugged it away, saying that they are only responsible for 60c per pound ($15) for the glass. 3. Didn't put together the bed properly. Minor things: came without toolbox, so they relied on me being able to dig out the tools from the packed boxes. read more

Do not use Moovers Inc. We have moved cross country several times and have always used large national companies. We took a chance with Moovers Inc and have been regretting it. Our issue has been with our claims. We filed our claims for damaged items in December, it is now almost June. The fact that it is taking SIX MONTHS for a $1500 check is ludicrous. And now I'm continuing to get the runaround, no one is returning my calls (Anthony) and I doubt I'll ever see this money. They are getting one star because they were prompt in providing a refund on the packing charge. Terrible crew at the origin city that packed horribly, and Moovers Inc very quickly sent a check for that. So even more perplexing as to why this claims check is taking SO LONG. Never before experienced this with any other company, I absolutely cannot recommend Moovers Inc. If something miraculous happens, I will update my review. read more

We moved with Moovers Inc 2 weeks ago, and we had never moved with professional movers before so I was a bit worried about the process and about my things! Mike came over to give us an estimate and I have to say that of the 4 people who came over to give us estimates, he was the nicest, the friendliest, and the most straightforward. Plus, he was on time and not completely creepy like the first guy who came to give us an estimate. It's strange having someone come over and look through all your stuff, but he made the process comfortable, so I pretty much decided I was going with Moovers Inc from the start, regardless of their estimate. But it ended up that he also gave me the lowest estimate so that was a bonus! I needed to change my moving date from Apr 28 to mid April so on a Monday I called the office and asked how soon they could move me and they said Thursday - that was perfect! They said it would take 2 to 8 days to deliver my stuff to my destination 700 miles away, but I would likely have it by Sunday. When Tom and Rob and their moving guys showed up at 9:30am on Thursday, they said they would deliver on Friday!!! Needless to say, I was thrilled! As I watched them pack up all of our belongings, I couldn't believe how efficient and careful they were. Everything was packed really well to the point that I was not at all worried about my stuff making it here safely. Tom was very professional and I definitely felt confident about him handling the move. So off we went at 11pm to drive to Arizona to make sure we beat Tom and Rob to the destination! They showed up 2 hours after we did - perfect timing! The guys who unpacked us were not as professional or as careful as the guys in Davis, but it was a local crew, and Tom and Rob were still there to make sure everything went well so we still felt good about the move. There's only one thing I'm disappointed about and this may be my own faulty expectations - they put the bed back together, but I was under the impression that anything they take apart, they would put back together, so I was disappointed that they drove away and my curio cabinets were not reassembled. But that's not the reason I deducted a star. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that we can't find our TV remote controls anywhere!!! We looked in every single box and they are nowhere to be found! We are 2 people with 4 TVs so it's pretty obvious that we are TV people and cannot live without our TVs, which means we cannot live without our remotes since some of our devices (Apple TV, Roku, Amazon TV) can't function without the remotes. Now I have to go purchase new remotes for all of these devices! Tom, why why why didn't you guys tape the remotes to the TVs??? read more

TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! This place was recommended by 2 trusted friends. I am not sure what happened but this place is ridiculous!! First the movers BREAK my West Elm desk because the idiots did not break the table down before they put the shrink wrap on it. So the leg was snapped in half! They called me in and said "oops, we broke your desk". And then they say "yeah, we told our manager about this shrink wrap, it's done it before". Oh really, then why the heck are you still using it!!!! The guys were very annoyed with my furniture, in that they had to break down my bed to pack it. Well, sorry for the inconvenience but you are movers!!!! Now, I had a 2 week window. They never had any communication with me. When I called them to check on my belongings, they seemed annoyed with me! Today I call them since he said that it would be here by July 13. Now he say oh the truck broke down and we don't know where or when the part will get there. I was clearly upset! And the manager Keith begins yelling at me!! Wait a minute, these idiots screw up my move and then I get him yelling at me. Oh no!! So now they cannot give me an estimate on when my stuff will get there (including the West Elm Parsons desk the idiots broke). I ask the what happens if the move that the said will be here within 2 weeks does not make it in that time frame and he says "I don't know". What? How can you not know? So this has never happened before?!? I doubt it. I took off 3 weeks before my new job starts to get settled and still looks like that will not happen. Me getting settled that is. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND MOOVERS INC. They are incompetent, break your belongings, lack of communication with you, rude, delay your shipment and are incompetent. I am a physician who now has to sleep on my make shift cot for another week while trying to take care of people who are likely in worse situations than I am. I am humble and realize, I have much to be thankful for. But I am trying to prevent anyone else from dealing with this ENORMOUS inconvenience I am currently going through!! read more

We recently moved from NYC to San Francisco, and were a little nervous about it, after reading all the horror stories on sites like Movingscam.com. After a lot of research, we settled on Moovers. Our move went absolutely as smoothly as it could have. Our driver, Donny, stayed with our shipment through its whole journey -- Moovers doesn't subcontract, which is good. And the guys they used in New York and San Francisco were all great. They were all quick, very careful and friendly. Our stuff is mostly still in boxes right now, but it appears to be in very good condition. We'd definitely use Moovers again. read more

I wanted to like these guys, as they were all personable and friendly. The problem in is the inconsistency of the packing they did. One gentleman packed my entire kitchen, 12 entire dishpacks full of fragile and precious items. He did it perfectly, taking his time to wrap and pad everything. And it all arrived without a bit of damage. A different gentleman, actually the leader of the group, packed my entire office and library, about 40 boxes of books and valuables. Many looked like a child had literally tossed whatever was on the shelf or in my desk into the box. This included decorative art objects, porcelain and ceramics, glass picture frames, clocks, lamps, etc. Multiple precious items were broken, as they were completely unwrapped and loose in the boxes. Several boxes arrived collapsed. Now really, why would you toss a ceramic bowl or glass framed photo without any wrapping into a box of loose books? Simple laziness and disregard. I hired this full service moving company based on the yelp reviews. But now, I cannot in good faith either recommend them or use them again. read more

You would be wise to avoid these guys, even if their quote looks good. They were completely unprofessional and damaged a lot of our office furniture. We have moved a number of times in the past with no problems. It was amazing to see this outfit take zero precautions to protect what they were moving. It was like the gathered a group of guys from the local pubs and streets to do this job--they were nice but knew nothing about moving furniture. And the supervisor couldn't have cared less. To top it off, I bought insurance through them for the move and when I tried to make a claim, they said they would send their "repair guy" over. Like I would ever let anyone from this company near our furniture again! So pay a little more and get a professional group for your next move. You'll be glad you did! read more

I had a great move with Moovers from San Francisco to Connecticut. From the beginning, Moovers was professional and more accommodating than the large van lines. Mike came out to survey my apartment within a few days of my call, and gave me a reasonable estimate, whereas the van lines were saying it would be weeks before they could survey, and their minimum weight requirements (and thus their minimum cost) was much higher than Moovers' quote. I was even able to negotiate with Moovers a little bit on the final price, and I was impressed that they were willing to work with me on that. On the loading day, the movers showed up a couple of hours earlier than planned and had everything loaded and wrapped in about two hours (I packed most of my belongings myself). My shipment arrived promptly and everything was intact (they picked up Aug. 4 and were ready for delivery on August 14). I had to delay delivery a couple of days because of my work schedule, and the New Jersey office that was doing the delivery was, once again, very accommodating and professional. I was afraid I would get charged a storage fee for the extra days, but they didn't charge anything. Delivery went very smoothly. I noticed one glitch with the bill -- I was charged about $85 more than I was supposed to be for insurance -- but I called Moovers and they sent me a refund check in a couple of weeks with no hassle whatsoever. I highly recommend using Moovers. I was amazed at how smoothly my move went, and I will use them without hesitation for any long-distance moves in the future. read more

These people deserve -5 stars. There are so many things wrong with them that I don't know where to begin, but I will try to swallow my anger and just list the most major stuff in bullet points. -Broken, before even opening boxes: One nightstand (both legs fully broken off), one large bookase with glass doors, dining room table badly scratched, one dresser Driver was trying to evade responsibility by saying stuff like "What do you expect from a nightstand that is only supported by this thing!" ("this thing" being 4 FAT wooden legs) OR "This thing should have been taken apart before being put into my truck" (when the Moovers themselves had chosen not to take it apart when packing it). Imagine seeing your belongings visibly damaged and getting this attitude in response. -Lost: Not one, but TWO rugs (and haven't done full inventory yet). -Attitude: Worst I have experienced with any employee of any company anywhere in the world in the 25 years I've lived on this planet. The SF movers actually had an OK attitude, but the Boston crew (and especially the lead/ driver) would not STOP complaining anytime I told them to get something to the top floor of my apartment. hello? Isn't that their job? They would also take furniture in the house, leave it somewhere randomly before I had the chance to tell them where it goes (they never asked), and then would refuse to move it to the right room saying their responsibility was simply to deposit the stuff SOMEWHERE in the house (where in the house? According to the Moovers, who cares!!). -Experience: Minimal. The Boston guys had to coordinate for 5-10 minutes to lift heavy items and it seemed just like I had just pulled some random guys off the street. The SF guys were better in that respect, but not careful at all with any small items or items that needed special handling, and VERY disorganized (tossing items in boxes with no regard as to where these items had to go in the house, whether they were getting dirty, damaged etc). They tried to pack fancy dresses from my wardrobe in the same box as my mop and cleaning supplies!! -Accommodating: Not at all. Brought my stuff into town on a day when my husband was actually not even there to help with the move (traveling for work). When I protested and tried to reschedule I was told that I had to accept the shipment since their terms state that I have to be ready for the shipment on ANY OF the 14-day window they gave me... Again, why care about people's lives or commitments? -Unlabeled boxes: The majority of the boxes they packed where not labeled, so I have NO idea what is in them or if they were deposited in the right room. This is all before even opening my boxes. This company is so unprofessional, clumsy, inexperienced, MEAN, that I am sincerely afraid to do so. I think that I'd feel better just donating all the boxes they packed so that I don't have to open them and deal with the frustration. If I can even convince one person not to use these guys and save them one of the worst experiences of my life all my time writing this review will have been 100% worth it!! A V O I D!!! We used Moovers, Inc. last month to move out of our 3-story condo/townhouse in Hayward to a 2-story single-family house in Pittsburg and had a fantastic experience. Moovers Inc ended up being the only company we had come out for a consultation. Once they told us we could move with a 3-man crew and a 26-ft truck there was really no need to have others come out. At that point we just did price comparisons and Moovers Inc came out lowest. Plus they provide wardrobe boxes to use on moving day for free! It came out to $145/hr for a 3-man crew. Mike quotes a 7-hour move + 2 additional hours for double drive time. We ended up doing it in a little over 4 hours with 1.5 hours for double drive time. The key was that we had EVERYTHING packed the night before and moved ALL boxes down to the garage. That way they only spent their time coming up and down stairs to move furniture (which we had also disassembled). This saved TONS of time. They are more than willing to disassemble and assemble your furniture, but you'll be paying for it, so if you can do it yourself, I highly recommend it. This was our first time going with professional movers. The others times I've moved I've gathered up bodies and we've spent ALL DAY moving and it's just tiresome and stressful. The crew was professional and efficient. They actually KNOW how to load a truck efficiently and protect all of our stuff. We didn't have any nicks or dings either. I would highly recommend going with professional movers if you're on the fence, and once you do make that wise decision, go with Moovers Inc! read more

This was my second cross-country move, and the experience between Moovers and the shady movers who moved me from Boston to San Francisco in 2009 was a world apart. This first time around, I didnt know as much, but the second time, from San Francisco to NYC, I definitely knew the right questions to ask. In terms of management, Anthony, who came and did my estimate, was responsive to my questions in the weeks following and could be easily reached at the main office. The pickup crew in SF arrived on the dot. They also packed my stuff, and were very very thorough and careful. I asked a lot of questions of the crew leader, Art. I also asked him to estimate the weight of my stuff, and he took a guess that was less than the official estimate (I'm not sure I understand what one of the reviewers wrote about "overestimating to get a minimum price?")...and this was easily less than half of the claimed weight my Boston to SF movers claimed (those liars). All in all, it took them 2.5 hours to pack my stuff. Art also told me he would be driving my stuff to NYC and leading the delivery crew. AND he gave me his cell phone, and encouraged me to call even if I just wanted to check up on him during the week! (I didnt.) This made me feel more confident already. (You have to understand what a relief this is to me, given the runaround the last movers I used gave me for 4 weeks.) In NYC, my apartment is a 4th floor walk up. And it was a hot, hot muggy day. The stairway in my building is narrow, windowless, and HOT. I apologized to the movers i advance but they brushed it off, "Nah, not a big deal. You dont have much... only two heavy/big items" (the sofa and the credenza). Even more, the apt was much smaller than my place in SF, so the living room and kitchen filled up fast with boxes. In spite of this, they were efficient, careful, and did not complain. The entire move came in $800 less than their do not exceed estimate! The only small nit I have about Moovers is payment on delivery. They prefer a cashiers check or cash only. Credit card payment came with 3% surcharge. In this case, my company was moving me, so the surcharge was not an issue. Even then, they wanted me to run the credit card the day before delivery (as delivery day was a Sunday). I didnt, simply in that I will only make payment upon actual delivery. If you offer a credit card payment option, you need to be the flexible one. I hope to not make another cross-country move, but I would use Moovers again without skipping a beat. They were professional, through and through, and Art is awesome! read more

I can't be happier with the move. The reason I called up Moovers is because Flat Rate Movers (their review is in Yelp) asked me the entire amount upfront a few days before the move. Moovers gave me an estimate by visiting my apartment the same day I called them. I requested for a pick up the very next day and they showed up the very next day, right at the tie they said they would. They packed almost all of my stuff, were courteous and friendly. The items were picked up on a Tuesday. And the biggest surprise was when they delivered all my stuff the next Sunday morning. The driver was there at my new residence exactly at the time he said he would. Not a single thing was broken or was out of shape. I will refer them to any of my friends if they need to move. read more

Moovers Inc. is a good company. It was started by Delancey Street graduates who worked at Delancey Street Movers. They were very courteous, on time, and quick. They picked up stuff at two places and it took only 5 hours. I started in San Jose, stopped in Newark and finished in Alameda. They charge $90/hr for two men, $120 for three and $180 for four. They only accept money orders, certified checks or cash. Will use them again. read more

Absolutely fantastic! We just used Moovers for our move from San Francisco to Brooklyn, NY and it couldn't have gone smoother. Everyone that we dealt with in the office was wonderful, our driver Richard was courteous and kept us on top of everything. I honestly cannot recommend them enough. read more

We used this company in March of 2017, to move from Pacifica to Sonora Ca. Never again they damaged, scratched, broke a lot of our items, we put a claim form into the company, and they have filed for an emergency bankruptcy. We used Moovers to move from New York City to San Francisco including our car. They packed everything from start to finish. The crew was professional and fast. Price was transparent and fair. The work order worksheet did not have hidden costs unlike some of the other major national moving companies. The quote was straightforward and easy to understand. I dealt with the Moovers staff in New Jersey and CA. Both great and professional. And I even had to reach out to them two years later to get an invoice for my tax audit. They got me the documentation in minutes. We had a few minor things that were damaged not surprisingly given the distance. It was super easy fill out claim forms. Unlike some of the horror stories I have heard with other moving companies. I will definitely use Moovers again. read more

I was very hopeful and really wanted things to work well, but alas, it wasn't exactly the case. There were two problems: one was the owner, whom I had the unpleasant experience of talking to. The other was the discrepancy between what they said about the estimated delivery date and when the stuff came. About the dates: they kept pushing the date further; I kept calling and the stuff hadn't even left the departure place when it was supposed to be already delivered. Beware of what they say and don't trust them about schedules even if they sound confident because they'll just move your schedule regardless, and won't even bother informing you. The worst part was actually talking to the owner, John, when I had to discuss the payment with them at the end. He struck me as the rudest man who only cared about covering his ass. Extremely aggressive, petty, and unpleasant. He kept repeating that his workers are being paid while I'm talking to him and threatened me that I'll be charged for making the movers wait and that my stuff will be taken back to the storage. A bully! About the cross-state driver, Randy--amazing guy. He talked to me several times while on the road to update me, and he would get back to me very promptly. He showed great concern and care. Thank you, Randy. About the movers on both sides--great work. In short, great workers, very nice and professional, and a rude and off-putting owner, a bully. These workers would run a fabulous company without him. read more

Moovers moved me from San Francisco down to Pasadena in January 2010 and did a great job. They also included 30 days storage in the Bay Area at no charge while I found a place to live down south. I have not found any damage to my furniture and the movers were fast and generally professional. I would use Moovers again. read more

These guys just helped us move into our new library in Los Gatos. They moved the ENTIRE library. These guys worked so hard, and were always so polite. Pushing huge crates of books from one place to another, they would always stop and let us get by them making us really feel special. Loved the politeness considering all of us were also running back and forth with computers and monitors to move. One of the movers, Woody, went out of his way to pick up and move a couch for me. That was so not in the agreement. What a nice guy. I was just so impressed by this company. They were professional, knew how to talk and interact with the customers and were just so dang friendly. If they messed up anything I wasn't around to see it! Thanks guys for making our move so much easier. I'd hire you to move me if I ever get enough to buy a new place in Los Gatos. hahah. read more

This was our first experience hiring movers and it was WONDERFUL. I don't think I'll ever go back to trying to move things myself after such a good experience. We had four guys (Saul, Mike, Juan and Manuel) and two trucks and moved from Folsom to Mid-Town Sacramento (about a 30 mile distance). We opted to pack our boxes ourselves and we had everything ready when the guys showed up (right on time, might I add). They worked so fast -- it was amazing. Friendly, willing to accomodate and they didn't damage a thing. We were very impressed with everything, from start to finish. Don't forget to tip these guys - they rock! I called and asked if a specific date was available for moving because that was the only option due to work, etc. They said that date is available and wanted to schedule an inspection. After a few days, they come for inspection and tell me that date is not available anymore. They totally wasted my time. Now, I have to look for another company that has availability on that date. read more

We used Moovers last week to move from San Francisco area to Colorado Springs. I cannot believe the wonderful service we received from start to finish. Always there on time when I was told a specific time. They packed us up so fast and perfect. From Mike who did our "not to exceed" estimate (which it came in lower and we paid less!) to Randy and Marilyn who helped pack and Randy was at the finish line as driver.
