I was understanding as to the cancellations as we were having a hot summer and I am sure that they were busy with air conditioners... my concern was heat, so I was not in any rush. Yes, waiting once a week for months wasn't ideal, but I wanted the unit repaired. The technician finally arrived in the end of August. Nice guy and he diagnosed the issue without really doing a lot of troubleshooting (the main panel was bad as I suspected all along). They had me sign a contract that specifically says '...Buyer may cancel this transaction at any time prior to the midnight of the third business day after the date of this transaction.' Additionally, I was required to pay a $306 deposit for the repair. I called this morning to cancel as I had already (2 weeks earlier) rodered a mini-split system (I thought keeping the pellet stove would be a good Idea, but thinking it through, not for $1700. The person who answered the phone (a man) asked why I was canceling - I told him why. He then proceeded to tell me that they had already ordered the part. I told him to send it back. He then asked what they were supposed to do with the part. He then stated that my deposit was non-refundable. On the contract, it CLEARLY states 'If you cancel, any property traded in, any payments made by you under the contract ... will be returned within 10 business days. Up until today, all my contacts with this company had been cordial and professional. Once I went to cancel, I got bullied. I don't feel that the cost of replacing a small panel is worth $1700 and seems a bit predatory. I will be reporting this business.

The people that came out from Chappel were Philip who is the owner and Alex, (technician), and Brad ,(Certified Spacepak Technician). I had Chappel out last Thursday and Friday and today. The Owner, Brad, and Alex all were great people and all of them did an excellent job! My Spacepak was reinstalled correctly, The return was installed to a larger and correct size, 4 new supplies were installed, 2 new refridgerant lines were added and repaired. The first contractor who I hired to originally install the new Spacepak didn't do any of the things that Spacepak requires.
