I called Ms. Lenora, the owner, and reserved a date and time. We got there early, and they found us seating in five minutes. We ordered a dozen chargrilled oysters Morrow, which was overloaded with crabmeat, a large gumbo, crawfish bread, grilled salmon, bread pudding and peach cobbler. The food was cooked and grilled and charbroiled to perfection. Ms. Lenora sent us a bottle of wine, although we already had two lemon drops. Ms. Laurin stepped it up and brought my wife a birthday cheesecake with raspberry sauce and topped off with a large sparkler. If that wasn't enough, she brought my wife a shot of Grand Marnier. We went here last night hoping to get a true taste of New Orleans. The atmosphere seemed very lively and high energy. Initially, the restaurant was too busy with reservations so we opted to order Togo from the bar so that we could enjoy what we heard was a pretty good food option. Unfortunately, I would never know! After attempting to order my food 3-4 times with multiple interruptions and the bartender leaving me to assist other people I finally placed my order. We waited 25-30 minutes for the food for our friends food. After 40 minutes of waiting the bartender told us they were plating our food. He then went back after another 15 minutes and still returned without the food he said was already being plated. After my friends went to the car to eat and we still did not get our food we decided to cancel our order. When so asked to cancel the bartender did not apologize for the delay or complete my request. He printed a copy of the ticket and disappeared into the kitchen making us wait another 5-7 minutes. I then asked the other bartender to complete my cancellation and she smirked and said 45 minutes is not that long. I explained I personally have overseen successful restaurants and 40 minutes is a long time when everyone else who has arrived after had their orders fulfilled and left already. After going back and forth they rushed our food out but at that point I didn't want it and demanded a refund. Rather than an apology or the manager speaking with us about our experience they acted as if we were the issue and immediately began to complain to each other and customers about us as if we did something wrong by expecting better service. I will never eat here and do not recommend this place due to bad customer service and lack of care for the people that support their business. My meal was as $75 and for those prices I would expect better. I didn't order off a dollar menu. read more

I absolutely fell in love with this place! This was some of the best food I had in New Orleans. One of my favorite dishes from the restaurant was their spicy barbecue shrimp. When I tell you guys that this had so much flavor... It's insane how delicious this was. I also ordered their crawfish pasta and that also was amazingly delicious. It came with fried catfish on, And that was cooked to perfection. The vibe of this restaurant is so lively and friendly, and this is an amazing spot to come and get drinks and delicious food with friends. I definitely recommend this as a must to visit place in New Orleans, and I am already planning my next trip back. We got there at 7 and finally decided to leave at 10 once we realized they were never going to give us a call. I think this is unacceptable especially when people showed up after us and was able to get seated at a table somehow. There needs to be some kind of policy implemented for this. My experience here was ok. It was the day before Mardi Gras so there was definitely a wait but out 2 hour wait turned into 40 mins . Our waiter wasn't that attentive and it was wasn't because it was busy it seem to give more attention to certain tables. ‍ I ordered the fried chicken with red beans and rice and the collard greens. Let's just say the hot sauce was my friend. The collard greens has a lot of what I think was vinegar (they were very tangy). The red beans no taste and actually tasted burnt. The chicken was decent. We also had the crawfish bread for an appetizer. I enjoyed the crawfish bread and it was VERY cheesy. The music here is EVERYTHING! I really feel like you'll get the best experience here at the bar. If it's your birthday they play songs that have something to do with birthdays. Really kute! Gratuity was already added but idk if it was only for Mardi Gras or if this is all the time. Go go go! This place was great. From the service to the food they were great! I had the sweet potato pancakes. You don't need butter or syrup on them. They are delicious just as the come. If you go add any,it will only enhance the flavor. The pancakes were fluffy and moist. Very filling. Came in s stack of 3. The oysters Morrow's are wonderful. They are topped with crabmeat! This was some of the best tasting twist on the original I have had! You have to try them. I tasted the shrimp and grit and have no complaints there. Nothing on the table was bad! Everything was so good! I can't wait to go back! The Mamosa washes it all down nicely. If you are in the area you should make plans to go have brunch here. There is usually a wait . Rapper Drake is amongst celebrities that frequented Morrow's. I never liked gumbo until I tried it at Morrow's. I kept going back for more. They had the best one in New Orleans if you are going to eat out. Drinks were rather strong and delicious then again almost everywhere is NOLA drinks are like that. From the French bread to crawfish pasta everything was delicious. The oysters can be on the salty sides for most and I will tell you where to get the best in a separate review. Everyone in the restaurant was professional and courteous and willing to go above and beyond. If one is unhappy with a meal they quickly fix it based on my personal observation. I did however, order from UBEREATS where they dropped the ball and did not follow my instructions. I called and was told to come in the next day for a free meal to make up for it. Morrow's has a nice vibe. It is not a big restaurant, it is somewhat cozy. If you don't have a reservation, you could spend some time waiting for a table. Our party of three opted to sit at the bar, because we were hungry and couldn't wait an hour to be seated. I believe the food is made to order, because it took thirty minutes for our entrees to come out. Appetizer: (came out 15 minutes later) Sautéed crab claws in a butter sauce, came with a piece of bread. The claws tasted old- maybe they had been sitting out for a while, or were left under a warmer for too long and dried out. Either way, I probably would not order this again. Entrees: 1. Shrimp salad (fresh shrimp on salad greens) My friend did not eat even half of the salad, but she wouldn't say why she stopped eating. I'm hoping she just got full and it wasn't something else. 2. Shrimp platter (fried shrimp and fries). The shrimp were fresh and fried well. We hate when restaurants add pounds of batter on seafood, and then you're eating mostly batter. These shrimp were perfectly fried. The fries were good. 3. Crawfish Ètouffée The dish was good, but they tasted better in the FQ. Dessert: Brownie Sundae The brownie was delicious. Probably the best restaurant brownie we have ever eaten. It is a must-have. The ice cream was average, but the brownie is so good the quality of ice cream is not that important. The hostess' really needs better training & communication skills. i'm more than patient, but when you leave me in the unknown about something I have no choice but to grow impatient. Once seated the service is just so so maybe you'll get a good server maybe not. Visited Morrows for brunch last weekend and it was incredible. I had the fish and grits but also got to taste my family's lobster mac and benedict dishes. We also shared the sweet potato pancakes and bacon and a pitcher of peach mimosas. Everything we ordered was delicious. We came here on a Friday night around 8p. There was a 105 minute wait. It's a fairly small restaurant. We opted to walk up the street to another bar for cocktails because it was standing room only inside. When we returned, we ordered stuffed mushrooms and charbroiled oysters for apps. The mushrooms were over stuffed with crabmeat and simply delicious. The oysters could have had a bit more flavor but were otherwise good. My sister and her husband ordered the reddish. It was very rich and buttery. For our entree, we shared the seafood platter because it was huge! There were fried oysters, catfish, shrimp and fries. Good flavor and a large portion. Best wings I have ever eaten. Full stop. Perfect fry,perfect seasoning and sauce ratio. Steak and garlic potatoes were, again, perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. We get to the hostess and was told it's a 30 min wait. Well that ended up being over an hour wait. Ok fine. I see the restaurant was very small so it's hard to accommodate a large amount of people. So after an hour, we finally get our seat. Takes another 10 minutes just to even get some water for the table. We finally order our food and another hour goes by! At this point, we become very upset. We see everyone around us get their food. We even saw people that came way later than us get their food. So we have to go search for our waiter because he never came back after taking our order. And then our waiter says something "was wrong with the internet and they didn't put our order in". But everyone else was had no problem getting their orders in. I was disappointed that our waiter never came back. A whole hour went by of just sitting at our table and he never checked on us. When we finally get our food and it was really good. They have a full bar, but the main drink on the brunch menu was mimosas. They don't have Bloody Mary, which was slightly disappointing but I pregnant so I didn't care too much it was for my husband. He had two big tables but made sure we were good and didn't get impatient with my partner not being ready after checking on us a thousand times. So she ordered the oysters with crabmeat, which she thought were divine. It was her first time having oysters and she was not disappointed. I got regular chargrilled oysters, which were good and buttery. I also ordered the fried chicken because it smelled so good passing by. However, I was not the biggest fan. I would've liked a little more seasoning and it was a tad overfried. Definitely not something I would order again. The salad that came with it could use a little makeover. I would've liked to have some croutons with it. It was only lettuce, cheese, dressing, and a slice of a tomato. I got garlic mashed potatoes on the side and they were good. I've had their gumbo and it was great. The drinks are also pretty good. I've had the "All Bets on Me" and the "Henny-rita", both of which I enjoyed and they are half off during happy hour. The service is a little slow and not the friendliest but is not terrible. It's a really cute space and subtly decorated. I REALLY love the music.
