A side of OJ, hash browns ketchup, and 2 different hot sauces made this breakfast over-the-top! The Avocado in the dish was a treat! Because I'm a visitor from the NY area: I sat outside with my meal from 9:30-10:30 and felt the sudden temperature rise. What a great experience! I was the only one out there, and it was nice. GOTTA HAVE ME MORE OF THAT COFFEE CAKE, THOUGH! I had the pleasure of trying out Mo's for Brunch a few weeks ago while I was in town for the weekend. I must admit, Temecula is so lucky to have such an awesome local, brunch spot in town. Upon arrival, we were kindly greeted and asked to patiently wait to get seated. Inside, the venue was southern-homey and filled with miscellaneous items such as photos and art of roosters, farms, and farm animals. It emitted a sense of welcoming, comfortable, and a home-style feel to it. Once we were seated, we were promptly asked what drinks we'd like and if we wanted a FREE, complimentary slice of coffee cake. "FREE?!", I said? WHY NOT?!? I'm sure glad I had said 'Yes' to the offer because it was, indeed, the best coffee cake I had ever tasted! As a matter of fact, it was so good that I ordered a whole cake for $5 to take home. The cake was fresh to order, nice and warm, and oh so delish! I can still taste the fluffy coffee cake topped with mini crumbs warm frosting. For my main entree, I had ordered Corned Beef Hash 'N' Eggs ($10.75) My order consisted of exactly what was written - corned beef, hash brown, and eggs served scrambled per my request. In addition, I was served a full sized pancake on the side, which, I eventually could not get to until later that day as I had ordered it to-go. The corned beef was tasty, meaty, soft, and very flavorful, which I appreciated. Their hash browns were a great addition to the corned beef as they were nice and crunchy and topped with a bit of seasoning to add a tad more flavor to a pretty basic meal. The eggs were refreshing to the taste, however, I did find myself adding a minuscule amount of pepper to it to liven its flavor. Service was quick and prompt, even though we came in during one of their busiest times of the day. Thank you Mo's for providing us with an exceptional experience! My mom had been raving about this place to me, so I decided to see what the hype was about. I'm always excited to try out a new restaurant to put my 2 cents in, or in this case $25. The place is spacious and was cutely decorated since Halloween is around the corner. The Food: Meh, was the first word to come to mind. Everything I tried wasn't bad, but I couldn't say it was good to the point that I was doing my happy booty wiggle in my seat. It was at best in my opinion just okay. The fried chicken was really crunchy, but lacked that certain umph in flavor for me. The sweet potato fries tasted like they were frozen, and some of them felt a little under done, so I switched it out for the potato salad which was ok in flavor, but very dry. They make this thing with at least 6 eggs, a balanced amount of veggies and you don't have to find the cheese! Not exaggerating, these are probably the best pancakes I've EVER had. They were fluffy, cooked perfectly, not tricked up with sprinkles or cinnamon or sparkles. Batter on a griddle and a cook who knows his/her stuff! I needed a wheelbarrow to get myself outta the place. Ok so on to what my uncle had and TURNED DOWN! These crazy people here give you 2 HUGE WAFFLES AND FOUR(4) NOT 1,NOT 2,NOT 3 BUT FOUR WHOLE PIECES OF CHICKEN. Yes, this is the spot to stop. Really cute and CASUAL brunch spot in Temecula. My best friend from San Diego and I were trying to find a halfway spot between both our homes... and luckily this area was a perfect location. Came on a Saturday morning around 10:30a and had to wait around 30 minutes. Luckily, there's a Starbucks right in the corner, so by the time we got coffee and came back, our table was READY! Basic brunch options: omelets, french toast, pancakes, waffles etc. But it's all made to order and you can customize it. Our server was really friendly and accomodating. We were looking through the menu and he brought out a warm piece of Coffee cake!! It's complimentary!! It tasted like it was fresh out of the oven!! Surprisingly the restaurant is much bigger inside with more smaller tables, so a bigger group might be more difficult to seat. But that definitely shouldn't discourage you from trying it out. It can be a little loud with all the customers eating but, love that my toddlers yelling was drowned out by the background noise. Food came out really fast so once you know what you want, be prepared to eat! For two people with 2 kids, bill came out to $40. You pay directly at the cashier which CAN take awhile since there's only 1 person checking you out. But they said it's a security issue, so servers don't have access to any credit cards/cash. They start out with a hot slice of complimentary coffee cake, really good. Boy was service fast it took less then 5 minutes for my food to come out on Sunday morning 8 am The super CA omelette was packed full of tomatoes, bacon, mushrooms, Swiss cheese and avocado, 3 eggs and oh so delicious. The ricotta cheese blueberry pancake was packed full of little blueberries with a ricotta cheese spread on top. I wasn't a huge fan of the ricotta cheese but if you like ricotta cheese you will love these. The service is a ten. Our waitress was amazing, she was patient and when I changed my mind after placing my order she quickly went to the kitchen and changed it for me. Since this place is the most reviewed and highest rated in Temecula, I decided to start our day at Mo's Egg House. By the time we arrived, there's already a crowd of people waiting outside. Good thing, there were some spaces on those long, flimsy, wooden benches to sit on. We waited 15 minutes before getting called to dine in. When looking at the menu, its totally American Traditional with some south of the border flavors and a few Hawaiian breakfast entrees. Also, there's other specialties on the chalkboard not seen on the physical menu. We were offered a round of complimentary coffee cake. Its a layer of cinnamon, inside its spongy buttery crumb all into one. The bread like textures were on the dry side. Other than that, it was just okay and its free. Under specials I went for the "Texas Style Chicken Fried Steak "N" Eggs" ($11.30). On the plate its one cutlet of steak with a Bisquik crunchy outside that's lightly seasoned, tender and moist insides. It wasn't Texas portions, but it did tasted really good and it's simple. I really liked the gravy on top it was thick and creamy. The side option, is to choose between potatoes or biscuit and gravy. The biscuit was pretty big and I couldn't finish it. I believe its the same gravy used on the chicken fried steak. I wasn't sure what meat was in it, it could be sausage pieces. Instead of Tapatio, I would use their bottle of "Pepper Plant" to add for a spicer and roasted pepper flavor. I've never tried this before and without the tomatoes and onions its like a Westernized version of a salsa. The sauce gives a little kick to it and I was amazed when I used it on my hash browns, sunny side up eggs and chicken fried steak. Customer service here was excellent. Our server was friendly and upbeat. She was prompt to our requests. Also, I notice everyone who worked that busy morning were all on smiles and welcoming. The family friendly environment here is what I was looking for. Mo's diner setting is clean spacious, and booth seating was comfortable. For solo and couples, there's a bar to enjoy a cup of coffee. There's a breakfast place across the street, but it didn't seem as popular. We arrived early although we were on vacation, and were seated quickly in the large open plan dining room. The decor is "country cozy," table covered in red and white checks, and very consistent with the warm hospitality we received from the hostess, our server and busser. The atmosphere was filled with people enjoying one another's company; few if any tables had diners' faces anchored by mobile devices. This place is popular with locals for many reasons we observed: good for couples, families, groups; the generous amount of food served including the giant piece of free coffee cake dusted with powdered sugar, which complements the bottomless cup of strong diner coffee. I hate wasting food, but I only took one bite because it was so sweet and I wanted to save my appetite for the Hot Rod omelette special. My patience was rewarded: fresh slices of avocado over a cheesy, chorizo-filled fluffy egg quilt. The homemade salsa was flavorful and fresh. I almost thought I was brought a burrito!!
