The food, decor and customer service were wonderful. The portions are generous and the quality was great. Although I have not eaten Mediterranean/Turkish food often but this is really inspiring me to try more.

Really cool Turkish place in oceanfront! You know I would've never realized that there would be one here, especially by the beach. We got the Turkish coffee with chocolate, which was an amazing drink to wind down because it's way too hot to drink in Wingo lol. We also got the tea, which was nice and very very hot. And we've got the lamajun, which is like their Turkish flatbread. Definitely worthwhile to go, especially it's in the middle of the oceanfront.

We enjoyed our meal at the the Mosaic Cafe in VA Beach today! We got the mosaic omelette, Greek Omelette and the Chocolate Chip Pancakes. The pancakes where delish! But, unfortunately the eggs where very overcooked. Otherwise, the Decor and service was great! I would recommend for anyone staying near the Oceanside in VA Beach!

Disclaimer: am rating a carryout order of kunefe. The service rating was that staff asked how I can be helped and for my online order being ready when I picked it up The kunefe was alright, nothing outstanding. Having lived in DC/NoVA for 30 years there are more authentic and delicious kunefe. Another issue I have is that the photos of kunefe shown seem to have a scoop of ice cream? But my carryout order just had the kunefe.

Great variety of food options from breakfast to lunch. We ordered the egg and cheese sandwich with turkey bacon and the Mosaic Pide--both were really good. As someone who doesn't eat pork, I appreciated the peace of mind knowing it wouldn't be served by mistake. The restaurant has a cute atmosphere, and I liked the touch of Arab-style seating, though the chairs could be a bit more comfortable. Service was solid--nothing exceptional, but nothing to complain about either. This is a must-stop for me, whenever I'm in Virginia Beach. I look forward to having it!

Amazing authentic food. Wonderful service and tasting. Large booths so you can sit at least 8 comfortably. Friendly staff. They shared ideas of what to eat and upcoming events. Their future plans. Possible air BnB coming decorated Turkish style.

What an amazing food experience very close to the beach. My husband and I decided to try something different and we found this great Turkish restaurant thanks to Yelp after visiting the aquarium. We ordered the platter for 2 which was plenty of food for both of us and also my very hungry toddler. My husband ordered the Turkish coffee (which he said was very authentic and brought him back to his time living in Turkey). Our server was so kind and attentive and even prepared a special coffee that was not on the menu for me since I'm not a huge fan of strong coffee, - it was so so good! The food was delicious, the service was amazing and even though my somewhat feral toddler was at times crawling around the booth, they were so understanding and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant for those who want to try something different and delicious (they also have an American menu -burgers, pizza, smoothies, etc.) l. My only recommendation to the owners is perhaps to get a high chair that it's lower so babies/toddlers are at the same level of the tables that way they can eat as well. Also, idk if we got lucky or the timing was great but we were able to park a block and a half away, a maybe 3-4 minute walk on the street for free.

My friends and I were looking for a place to get food to go for the beach. I got the mango smoothie and the chicken tender combo which was a lot of food and it includes a drink. My other friend got the same thing and we could've easily split it between the two of us. The food was good though. The staff were really friendly too.

This was was so good! We stumbled upon it after two unsuccessful attempts to eat somewhere else. Third place was a charm! The staff was really nice and sweet. The Turkish are always welcoming and these folks carried on the tradition. My husband and I spit the Mosaic Pide. It was fantastic! Chewy with just the right amount of crunch. We added a little of the hot sauce for some extra kick and it made it even better. My son had the Mosaic Burger and fries. He loved it! He said he figured it was better than any place he wanted to eat at first. We also had the hummus. We had extra and were able to snag some extra pita when we carried it out. I'm sure we'll go back for breakfast before we leave. Do not skip on this place!

My friend found this place scoping out places to get desserts and hang out. It's located on Atlantic Avenue on the strip. So parking can be a bear to find. The inside decor is confusing, because it has western rustic cabin style furniture/seating mixed with pretty middle eastern/Mediterranean lights and decor. It's a huge space with plenty of seating. To the right when you enter is the counter where you order your food and pay. Once you pay they provide a table number for you to sit and they bring the food to you. I would have preferred to seat myself or have had the choice of choosing where to sit. We ended up grouped next to other tables already occupied. I'm thinking this was done to make it easier to serve the food? We were astonished by the massive menu they offer. I honestly didn't browse further than the desserts and drinks because I found it overwhelming. The tea options looked pretty good. I didn't choose any Mediterranean desserts because I was more in the mood for something chocolatey. But the smoothies and other fruit drinks sounded and looked divine. The mosaic milkshake was good, but not phenomenal. Honestly, you can't go wrong with peanut butter, bananas and chocolate unless of course you don't like any of those things or are allergic to it. However, I don't feel the shake warranted an $8 price tag. I know I've paid $15 before at the Yard milkshake bar, but that diabetes in a mason jar tasted really good and basically had mini cakes and extras added to it. My sister later ordered some Turkish coffee. The presentation was pretty cool. I loved how it's served on a silver tray with chocolate that looks like tiny colored rocks and in a dainty cup. The presentation alone is worth it. My other friend had the mangonada. It's a nice clean space with a lot of options, but I think because it's located at the oceanfront, the prices are on the higher side. It's a better choice and reprieve from the other touristy eateries on the strip. I would be willing to go back and try their entrees if I'm at the oceanfront or if it's during the off season. I personally am not a fan of going to the oceanfront due to the lack of parking and busyness. The oceanfront is just too chaotic and not relaxing for my taste. But if you're staying at a hotel on the strip or at the beach, anyway, definitely give it a try! PARKING: We opted to save time and just park at the lot across from peabody's. I wouldn't recommend parking there unless you plan to stay a good portion of your day at the oceanfront because it costs $10. If you can I recommend either finding meter parking/street parking or biking there if you live in the vicinity or happen to have your bike. If you're staying at the hotels on the strip, just walk to it.

Adana shush kabab wrap, Yes I ate it and it was good!
    Charlene W.

I loved Turkish food when I was in Ankara and after talking about Turkey I decided I wanted Turkish. Mosaic happened to be right around the corner and I'm so glad! I ordered the Adana shish kabab which has lamb and beef. After the initial confusion over my order they brought my lamb and it was delicious! Seasoned perfectly, spicy, with traditional yogurt sauce on the side to cool the tongue. If you're in Virginia Beach I highly recommend Mosaic for the Adana! I also had the chicken kabob, provided by accident, but it didn't come close in taste to the seasoned Adana! If you're not a spicy person maybe the chicken kabab is for you I highly recommend a visit.

This place is fantastic! Beautiful decor and very clean! Staff were extremely friendly, our service was extremely quick. Our drinks were delicious and fresh. Our food was rich and had so much taste to it. Very reasonably priced.

It is fully shaded which was nice considering we had some young kids with us. Service staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. I'd encourage them to be more targeted when describing some recommendations on the menu, she simply listed about the entire menu she asked "what are some of your favorites". Drinks were delivered very fast by the bartender. 2nd rounds were offered prior to the drinks being empty which shows good serving habits. The serving portions were very plentiful and played very well on the brunch theme! Burger was cooked medium well but still very juicy with a delicious mayo based sauce. The chicken and biscuit was juicy and the biscuit was flaky and delicious. It would have served the dish well TJ have a little more syrup. I also loved the unique hash tots. The line moved quickly, and while the food took a little longer to come out, it was clearly made fresh and was flavorful and worth the wait. One thing I appreciated was how dog-friendly the atmosphere is, with dogs welcome both inside and outside. The seating is very much community-style, with shared tables and a family/neighborhood feel. We didn't mind it, but if you prefer more personal space or private seating, the close quarters may not be for you. Breakfast sandwiches were reasonably priced, generally in the $13-$15 range. My only real complaint came when I watched the top of my sandwich fall off while a crew member was moving plates around. The employee picked it up and placed it back on the sandwich with their hand after touching several other items behind the counter. It wasn't enough to ruin the experience, but it did bother me and left an impression. Overall, the food was fresh and tasty, the atmosphere was lively without being too loud, and the dog-friendly environment was a nice bonus.

I'm a chef myself and travel to different restaurants regularly, so I try to be understanding. That said, the service we experienced yesterday at Stock Pot was unfortunately some of the worst I've had in quite a while. We sat outside, and it honestly felt like we were being deliberately ignored. The restaurant wasn't busy, yet we had to wait long stretches just to get basic things. At one point near the end of our meal, we asked for a box and our check. Instead of bringing it over, the waitresses stood around talking with other waitresses, while we continued to wait. After sitting there for quite a while, we eventually had to ask for the check and box, a second time. Throughout the meal the service was inconsistent. We had three different waitresses checking on us, but were left to sit for about 30 minutes alone at one point, and it took almost 20 to have our order taken, once we ordered, we had to request our appetizer again, after waiting another 20 or so minutes. Upon asking, again, we found out they were out of part of the appetizer we ordered. After that it came out quick. The food, however, was excellent and definitely the highlight of the experience. That's why this review is disappointing to write -- the kitchen is clearly doing a great job. I just hope the service side improves, because it didn't match the quality of the food.
