Why haven't I been here before? I had the best time and I actually dined alone. The draw--Moscatiello's brought back its $5 clams special on Wednesdays starting at 3pm. That's $5 for a dozen steamed clams. I've received the emails. I think I saw tv ads, too. They've offered this special for years. I regret I didn't show up before because the clams were delicious! They also came out of the kitchen super fast. And the promotional worked, too. The large parking lot was packed with cars. All around me. I could hear people ordering dozens and dozens of clams. "How many dozens of clams would you like?" the server, Nichole, asked me. She was fabulous at her job. She was attentive, friendly and helpful with a winning smile. The only condition to the promotional is that diners need to order a drink or an entree with their clams. I only ordered one dozen clams because I wanted to save room for an entree and Saratoga water. I had the Chicken Marsala which was great. So was the warm, freshly baked bread which went well with the Saratoga water. As for ambiance, it's a pretty restaurant that serves as neighborhood gathering spot. The patrons, especially the ones at the bar, seem to know one another. It's a place where people come to talk, so there is a din, but it's a sign of people having a good time with good company and food. I never found the noise level to be excessive. I wish I had photos of the interior to share but all of the tables around me were taken and I don't photograph people dining out without their permission. I actually think the restaurant deserves more Yelp stars than it has. I look forward to coming back and you know, I'll be ordering more clams. read more

It's been years since I've been to Moscatiello's, I always enjoyed the mozzarella sticks and entrees. My family ordered Chicken Parm's, Chicken Sorrentino's and Veal Sorrentino's. I don't have pictures because we were all disappointed when the food came out. Everything looked and tasted like it was fried earlier that day, kept in a warming pan and smothered in hot marinara before being brought to the table. It was disappointing especially at their prices. The fresh bread was a cold hard roll cut into thirds. There are much better options in the area. I'll gladly pay the same or more for quality freshly made meals. The service was very good, waitress was attentive and very nice. read more

Moscatiello's is another one of my favorite restaurants. They cook up the linguine perfect and it has a perfect mix of minced clams and about three little necks on the half shell mixed in. Parmesan cheese was provided on the side as well as a roll with butter. I also selected broccoli in the mix as well, as I believe it complements the linguini and clam sauce with the broccoli mixed in. The meal was reasonably priced. The takeout meal is very smartly wrapped up in saran wrap to prevent heat loss. The order was delivered on time and delicious. I noticed that the staff was very attentive to me and other customers as well, despite being busy, which is very important. Well done once again Moscatiello's! read more

I have been going to so many restaurants in the sate over the last few months and I am so happy to review these great places. It's nice get off Long Island and dine in such amazing places. We were initially a group of 20 in the side room for a Kiwanis meeting. A very spacious bright room that was ideal for a meeting. The restaurant put our vegetables, dips, cheese, etc... for an appetizer during this meeting. A small group of us, about 10 stayed for dinner when we were finished. Glad we did. Our waitress immediately came over to us (It was late at this point and we were the only people in the restaurant. She was very attentive to detail and took excellent care of us through the rest of the evening. I had the Chicken Parmigiana and I could not have been any happier. Perfectly cooked, tender on the inside and a nice crispy coating. It was served with a side of Spaghetti. Their marinara sauce was wonderful full bodied rich-tasty sauce that went so well with both the chicken and pasta My wife had the personal pan pizza, simple and very tasty. She truly enjoyed this. We dined at Moscatiello's on Wednesday night during lent. They have a wonderful special on Wednesdays during lent: a dozen steam clams for $5.00. The clams were a mix of cherry stones and little necks. My husband had 2 dozen and thoroughly enjoyed every one of them. I had the small salad for my appetizer--fresh, fresh greens, tasty tomatoes and red onion ( I requested no olives) and their house dressing. My husband's main course was penne Alfredo with sausage and I dined on their lasagna. Both were very good, I wish I had requested extra sauce to place on my leftovers. We were only able to eat half of our portions so we had the rest for dinner the next evening. Molly our server was gracious. A very nice meal out. read more

Food was tasty, the restaurant was not full or very busy at all. There were 3 other tables besides ours that had patrons. Looking over the menu we wanted to start with the obvious; hot bread which is a staple. Our waitress told us the restaurant was out of bread. I Have never heard of an Italian restaurant running out of bread. So we ordered mozzarella sticks and garlic bread. The garlic bread should have been substituted for the absence of their hot bread. We ordered our drinks/beverages and had to ask our server for refills I had a cosmopolitan and would have had second one but we could never find our server My husband ordered a calzone and there was a lot of cheese so much so it was gagging him but there was very little Italian sausage or pepperoni inside. We come here every year with our family. The meal I had was semi bland in flavor. Was hoping the sauce had more flavor but it didn't. Over all for all of us the meal was just ok and our server was either not feeling well, lazy, first day at wait staff job or is the generation of the effortless, careless lack of work ethic individual. Dozens of us were there for a celebration of life. Their kindness, compassion, professionalism made the situation so much better. So many of us were arriving from out of town and out of state that several of us arrived before the scheduled start time. The room was ready, the food was brought out, the bartender was ready; they were nonplussed and welcoming. All of the food was delicious (a variety of appetizers), replenished when running low, and the hot food was kept hot. Many of us lingered after the scheduled end time (many of us had not seen each other in far too long); again, they were nonplussed and did not rush us out. I never write reviews for anywhere, but as soon as we left this place I needed to write one. Our experience was fantastic, we went for an anniversary dinner and we will be going there every year from now on. The food was excellent! Our waitresses Sophia gave us the best service! She was so sweet! I got the chicken sorrentino which is now my new favorite dish! My husband got the calzone which was a good size and tasted amazing! The appetizer we got was also great! When i walked in, i was surrounded by a nice comforting vibe. We were brought to a separate room, as a team, and the staff was very polite and amiable. We sat for approx 10 minutes before we got our salad and bread. The salad was good and the bread was warm and airy. Though when we were finally served food a weird smell occurred. The food looked questionable and quite liquidh but I didn't let the appearance affect my judgement yet...Soon after the food entered my mouth I realized I should've used my prior judgement. The food definitely could've fulfilled my senses better. The mariana pasta was spicy, and the penne alla vodka was soupy (from experience not meant to be soupy) and tasted like feet. Then in hopes of enjoying more bread we asked for a second basket but unlike the first the bread was cold and tasted of chemicals. Overall great establishment, food could use some work. Great food, great service, great drinks, and relaxing atmosphere. My wife enjoyed our dinner. The bruschetta was the best we've had.

It started off on a bad note by waiting about 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged my friend and I. Others had come in after us had drinks and bread already. The waitress was not told we were hers. Once we were acknowledged the waitress apologized. Hayley (waitress) was pleasant but could have been more attentive to drinks and removing plates clutter from table. Veal Parmigiana and veal with peppers were good meals. Noise and comfort were better than many restaurants today. We didn't complain when we waited for so long. At end of meal and when paying a gentleman apologized and admitted the error and removed the drinks and appetizer from our ticket. It was just enough to make us happy and raise the stars from 1 to 3.5. read more

At one point Moscatiello's was a good value for a few beers and a tasty bite of food. Pints of Miller Lite (with a 2-3 finger head) are now $5.75 - way too much for a domestic macro. Food prices got a good bump too. Taste is still there and wait staff remain professional but IMO gouging on beer prices (and probably drinks as a whole) and the food pricing has moved exponentially higher. Will we be back? Not sure, as there are other offerings in the area at better price points. 2 stars due to the shocking changes in price in addition to losing banked reward points when they switched to a new system. read more

Took family here several times and have yet to have a bad meal, staff is always friendly, food is a little pricey, but worth it, booths are a little tight at times and if you get to the bar area it's mostly table and chairs and depends on the crowd if it's noisy or not. A must go and I wish I could give it more stars than 5! read more

We dined here last night in celebration of my mother's graduation. We were able to make the reservation for 20 and they booked it without a flinch. The confidence they expressed with our large party size was excited. When we arrived we were seated right away. They had created a large dining table for the whole party in a semi private room. The level of service we received was fabulous! There was plenty of bread, water, appetizers were placed appropriately for everyone to enjoy each of the options available. At no point did anyone feel the need to request anything that our waitress had not already offered. The food - The portions were more than enough. You really get what you pay for here. Large plates loaded with food. I personally enjoyed the bruschetta the most, I've never head of raw onions on it before but the bread, olives and tomatoes were delicious. They also had some very beautiful desserts brought out to other guests but unfortunately we brought cupcakes for the occasion and sold ourselves short. Next time. ;) read more

Where do I begin? We had another local company catering for our housewarming party of 80+ people when long story short 2 weeks prior to the party I found out they couldn't cater our party and never called to tell me. I would've expected food the day of and it never would have come!! I reached out to Moscatiello's in a panic as my family uses them a lot. It is wedding season and only 2 weeks before and I spoke with Kristina and Mike Jr. Unbelievable service and they assured me they could cater our party no problem. I was so upset with what happened with the other company and both of them were more than helpful and accommodating of all questions and allergies. Our delivery was done by Kyle and he was very personable and friendly. The food is AMAZING and you definitely get what you pay for! I had so many people asking where the food was from and how delicious it was and you bet I told them where it was from. I was so happy when we had leftovers because it was so good!! My aunt recently passed away and when family got together for the funeral we needed a last minute place to eat. The staff here was so accommodating and understanding; amazingly they were able to seat all 25 of us together. The service was much faster than expected for such a large group and the food was delicious Italian comfort food. We are all so thankful for the care they showed our family. Busy place for a Thursday which is always a good sign! The wine, Manhattan and Black Russians were big and served quickly. I'm very impressed with the wine by the glass selection and especially when I see a Willamette Pinot noir!! Our server was obviously new and it's early after Covid to be trained, but write things down! Appetizers were calamari (please offer seasonings and serve with lemon) and mozzarella sticks (so good). For dinner: steak and steamed clams, which was plentiful and a bargain in my mind (29.99 very large steak and 10 clams), shrimp champagne, chicken parm and penne ala vodka. Portions for all were "take some home size" and containers & bags were provided. My husband had dessert, peanut butter pie. He was happy! We really enjoyed our dinner this evening at Moscatiello's! I started with the Pasta Fasul which alone almost filled me up. The bread was also fantastic, warm and fresh. I ordered the Veal Piccata (Veal Sautéed in a White Wine with Fresh Garlic, Lemon & Caper Sauce together with Mushrooms & Olives. Served over Spinach) and couldn't believe how big the serving was. The taste was exactly like I want it, just a slight lemony flavor. Our server was extremely attentive and that makes a dinner perfect. My wife enjoyed the Eggplant Parmigiana (Fried Eggplant Layered & Baked with Marinara Sauce, Romano & Mozzarella Cheese. Served with a Side Dish of Spaghetti with Marinara Sauce) and our granddaughter enjoyed Salmon Milano (Sautéed in White Wine with Fresh Garlic, Lemon, Capers, Roasted Peppers, Fresh Tomatoes & Served over Linguini). I know, your mouth is watering right now... Go and try them out, only don't be in a hurry, all meals are prepared once the order is placed. read more

While a nice alternative to chain restaurants in the area I can't say I found this to be my go to Italian restaurant. Our party ordered mozzarella sticks as a starter (simple staple at an Italian restaurant). They came out over cooked, the restaurant needs to change their fryer oil. They were cooked so dark I thought they were burnt. They also had a distinct freezer flavor to them that made me think they were really old. For entree's we had the veal saltimbocca and chicken Marsala. While mushrooms are part of both dishes they aren't supposed to be the majority of the dish. I had to scrape a lot of them off. I thought they used an entire pound. The pasta was over cooked and soggy. This was on both dishes. The Marsala wine sauce. Well, there was not a single tase of wine, it was almost grey in coloring and basically had no flavor. Again this was both dishes. Normally, I'd rate this restaurant as a one star but I'll give it two only because of the service, our server was actually pretty attentive. So kudos for that. I was going to take pictures of our dishes but once I commented on the meals everything was spirited away very quickly. My advice, for this level of Italian food, go to Olive Garden. I am so allergic to the high prices at many local red sauce places that I am doing backflips to find a bowl of pasta with "mom's meat sauce" and even a side salad or bowl of minestron' for $9.99. Of course you can spend a lot more and tonight we did... a shared table managed to generate an average bill over $25 per person probably by ordering expensive (but good) wine. The atmosphere is absolutely nothing to write home about... your basic diner setup with cushier seats. But the dishes had integrity and the red sauce was a cut above. If you find yourself wanting a place to have a dinner near HVCC or the technology park, this will do just fine. read more

We stopped in here after a local fish spot was closed and glad we did! Something for everyone in this family style local Italian spot. From chicken Parmesan to rustic Salmon salad to roasted peppers and sausage, this place has it all! Went here for lunch today after hearing nothing but great things about it. Not the least bit impressive. Ordered off the lunch menu. Our waiter was apparently the only server. Spaghetti was not even warm when served. Meat sauce was questionable-no discernible meat. Requested parmigiana cheese. Waited 10 minutes and requested it again. Very bad experience. Ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich on Italian bread. The meat was inedible. I ate the mushrooms and cheese and onions that were glued to the bread, but could not even chew the steak it was so tough. Told the waitress and she saw the pile of steak on my plate and even though I told her I couldn't chew it because it was inedible, she did not even reduce the price a bit. Paid $11.99 for a terrible sandwich. Will never eat there again and don't recommend it to anyone. Wish I could give it no stars, but can't back out unless I give it at least one. It didn't earn one. After posting my honest review of the Philly steak sandwich I had, I got a nasty message from Mike Moscietello. He said "You're a piece of trash. You wouldn't know good food if it smacked you in the face." Since he doesn't know me I find it surprising he would make that assumption. I don't usually eat at smaller, less expensive, lower end Italian restaurants since I am Italian and am very discriminating when it comes to good Italian food (and good food in general). I suggested he try Mario's in New Lebanon and Mazzeos in Pittsfield-both higher end restaurants-if he wants to judge my taste in what I think is "good food." Lashing out at dissatisfied customers is a great way to run your business into the ground. Have a nice trip to loserville. read more

Eggplant parmesan, ziti with meatballs and meat sauce, Cesar salads, Chardonnay. Large portions for entrees, good sized side salad. Overall I left happy and satisfied. Good flavors, good service. It was pretty loud in the dining area but it was 6:30 on a Friday night so it's to be expected. My only quams were that no one noticed our empty water glasses and for the price I was expecting some fresh grated Parmesan cheese on top of the dishes. All they had was the shake cheese on the table. We were also missing olive oil, which the other tables had. No real complaints about the meal, we just went in with high expectations and they weren't 100% met. I will say the host and two servers we had were great. We were seated right away, although they didn't notice our empty glasses, when we asked for refills they came out quickly. We were in and out in an hour and 15 min and spent less than $60. Came with my friends, we each ordered a kale salad and calzone ( found out later they just discontinued the Kale salad) Meal was fresh & beautiful.
