Bought my 6th car from Moss Bros last week and it started as a great experience. Loved my new car. Had to take it back because the bumper was coming loose. The car has been there for 3 days and I've been without a car. This morning I get a call from the finance manager that they can't get me financed because of what I owe on my old car so they are going to keep the new one and bring back the old one which incidentally is listed for sale on their website for $4500 more than they gave me for it, which is how much more they wanted from me to make the deal now. Seems to me there was some room there to absorb that $4500. Plus the manager said part of the problem was "they" didnt get approved for the rebate. Seems like the finance department is to blame here. I spent 4 hours there when I bought it. Another hour and a half when I took it in for repair. Paid a penalty for withdrawing the down payment I gave them plus a fee to stop the old car payment. Switched my insurance, signed up for OnStar bought floor mats, all for nothing. After 6 cars I will never go back to this dealer. The finance manager got very curt with me and then after completely ruining my day and breaking my heart tells me to have a nice day! If they told me day one they couldn't make a deal I would have been fine, but to come back later and take my new car is just plain unacceptable and unprofessional! He is terrible to women and treats you like a second class citizen. He will talk down to you as though you know nothing about cars simply because he knows you need help. They don't want to stand by the warranty on the car and mine was still under warranty! They put you off and put you off telling you oh, put another 1000 miles on and come back and then we'll check it again. It's ridiculous! You can go anywhere online and see the problems the Equinox has with burning oil, they all know it but they try to delay fixing it so your warranty runs out! And PHILLIP is such a poor excuse for a manager, he's right there, leading the pack of terrible service! Avoid this place! Need to start by saying George was great. Polite and helpful. This is mainly an issue with management and their marketing tactics. I was interested in a truck they had advertised and I got a quote from them for a specified amount. Made an appointment to see the truck and do the paperwork. 100% planning to buy and drive the truck away. Got to the dealership and the truck I was given a quote for was approx. $8000 higher than they said for that specific truck...had the vin number on the quote even. They kept pointing to the fine print that said the quote didn't include dealer installed equipment. I had asked for some pics ahead of time and was sent a file pic of a stock truck with stock wheels/tires. They pulled the truck around for the test drive and it had custom wheels/tires. They wouldn't put the stock wheels back on even when asked. I spent several hours of my weekend driving out there and dealing with them and trying to get them to honor their original quote with no luck. Wasn't a bait and switch...was the exact truck. They just failed to disclose the fact that it had $8000 worth of "extras" before I got there. Don't deal with them. Other dealers much more honest. Oh man where do I start? So first off I truly feel that I was swindled (or at least almost swindled). Justin in the service department helped me and I have lots of problems after leaving and thinking it over. I went in to get a diagnostic done because my AC is not working and my air bag has a deployment issues. Fortunately onstar was able to accurately give me the exact info needed for the airbag so no diagnostic was needed just service. This didn't fly with Justin though and he wanted to charge me $150 just for the diagnostic. Usually it's about a $100 and that would run all the problems. He wanted to charge me $150 three times for all three diagnostics for all the problems. The AC, the airbag (even tho I told him the problem and have the info from onstar to give him but he refused to take that) and the check engine light. I also explained the check engine light is on (as onstar informed me) because I had the gas cap loose for a while without knowing. He said nope that doesn't make the engine light come on. Refused to listen to me about it. Well Justin yes it does and after filling up a full tank and waiting two days like onstar said it went off. So mr know it all doesn't really know it all. He wanted to charge basically $500 just to see what the problems were. That was no work involved. I already knew what was wrong with the airbag and check engine. He just wanted to take advantage of the fact that I am young and don't know about cars but my husband does and he agrees you were way overpricing me and charging for uselesss bullshit. You want someone honest dontgo here. A diagnostic should cover all the problems at once, all you do is hook up the car to the machine in my case, so why would you charge me $150 three times for one service? Ridiculous. Luckily I said no way and went somewhere else. So Justin said the AC was probably freeon and my console being broken and yada yada yada. My engine was running rough cus of check engine light so must be really bad he said. Oh we have no way to know about the airbag until we look inside. Um no. Bullshit. Another tech I went to at another dealership quickly resolved the airbag issue and was FREE considering it's a safety issue. He also fixed my AC with freeon. I called to schedule an appointment to turn in my vehicle it is the end of my lease and I was told by GM that I could take it to any of their dealerships. First I called at 9am and asked to make an appointment I was told I would need to call back, fine I called back at 11:20 someone answered put me on hold and after 2-3 mins hung up on me. I called back again and was asked if I purchased through them I said no, and was then told they could not accept the return because they are too full. WTH I asked for the guys name he said his manager Jose Herrera had told him that. He apologized but I told him I was told I could turn it in to any dealer and he said we are a very small location and we have no space. I told him that's not right and that's terrible customer service. no wonder their rating is so low. DO NOT go here. DUTTON MOTORS in Riverside was soooo much nice. They scheduled me right away with no issues. And I gotta be honest I have been to both sites and DUTTON is smaller. Always having some kinda trouble when it comes to taking in my car for an oil change or some kind of maintenance. I schedule an appointment within time and still have to wait two hours to get it seen. In that case why make an appointment ahead of time. Point less I think. Never have the car ready in time, The guy at the survive center isn't really friendly or approachable. I bought a brand new Denali from them with the agreement they would install a video/DVD system like the one I traded in the was all inclusive and functioned from the front seat since I have 4 children under 5. I was told by Jose for over a year the part to make it function correctly was on back order. My pickup order form when I took possession of the car stated this also. I have contacted their relations department and Amer himself SEVERAL times and he does not return phone calls or emails with pick up order attached since they could not locate their copy and they continue to ignore the problem. We even took the car to sounds plus and the original installer and they all said it needed a new console. Beware of this dealership....they just want the sale... BUYER BEWARE!! GO ELSEWHERE!!! Zero stars!! Amer, please get you facts straight the DVD player was bought and installed prior to possession being taken. Your sale associate lied and dragged us out way over a year,telling us a part was on back order. I can see if I bought a unit and after two years voiced my dissatisfaction but the whole time we were told it would function from the front seat or I would have waited for another denali to hit the lot. We even got a rental from jose for two days for the install company to make it work right which was when we were told the item was back ordered. As I sent to you the email from your sales associate stating it was fixed and was functioning from the front seat upon taking possession it still was not, I was told to place on pickup order, which Jose kept instead of turning in to service like he was suppose to and got strung out for yes the almost two years and then in desperation I contacted yourself and your customer relations, which have done nothing, including follow up with this response. read more

Gave a one star because I didn't have the option to put anything lower. This place is by far the worst dealership to get any service done by. Scheduled my first oil change after buying my truck for a Saturday due to my work schedule. When getting to the dealership they informed me that I had a couple recalls that needed to be taken care of which was fine because I had the time. They then Informed me that they did not have any mechanics on staff to do the work on Saturday. Still wondering why I wasn't told when scheduling my appointment that there were recalls that would need to be taken care of during the week rather than Saturday. Beyond annoyed at this point the simple 30-45 minute oil change then took over two hours, ridiculous! I then set up a follow up appointment for Tuesday morning which I took the day off work specially for. Dropped off the truck at 9am and was told it would be finished by the early afternoon. I waited until 2 in the afternoon to check up to see if it would be much longer and they said they had no record of the service and that someone would call back. I never got that call back. Again I called and finally found out no it would be done between 4:30 and 5. Waiting until after that time with still not a call. Finally got so irritated I went to the dealership and still at 5:30 the minor recalls are not taken care of. This dealership is not capable of the simple services that most of us come in for. I recently had my 1995 Buick Riviera serviced for a steering issue. They replaced the rack and pinion and fixed the tilt steering at the price of $2000.00. I still have the problem and now I have a squeak in the steering column and the horn does not work. They said that I had a bad idler tension pulley and that is the cause of the steering issue and that they had to order the part. I called the dealership and Jay said that they finally got the part in. I've not received a phone call to install the new part. I have experience in auto repair and It definitely is not the pulley. It seams to me that they made a bad diagnosis at my expense. I bought the car from a single owner and it is in great shape and I am very meticulous on the performance and maintenance of my now, classic car. SUPER PISSED OFF!!!!! Forgot to mention that 7 CD"S were stolen out the of the cars glove box that i can't find in the stores and 5 dollars in quarters and you call that customer service? read more

MOSS BROS. BUICK GMC IS THE WORST! DO NOT GO TO THEM! I REPEAT DO NOT!!!! I bought a 2013 Buick Regal from them in 2015. I was very happy, it was my dream car. In 2016 I received an oil change from them. They did the standard fluid check, brake check, battery check as and everything was all good. Two days later, my car breaks down on the side of the road with a dead battery. There was so much corrosion on the battery. They NEVER checked my battery when I brought it in for the oil change! They also stopped giving me complimentary oil changes because I would not service my car through them, but when I bought the car, I was told I would receive lifetime complimentary oil changes. NOW let's fast forward to a month ago.... I took my car in on March 27th due to my check engine light being on. They had my car for a week. I picked my car up March 31st and paid $1,000.00 for the service. When I picked up my car, they told me everything was fine, and they didn't see anything else wrong. The next time I needed to bring the car in would be after 12,000 miles for a regular service. I didn't drive my car the rest of the day Saturday or Easter Sunday. Monday morning April 2nd, I start my car to go to work and it didn't start. I tried it again, this time it started and the check engine light was on. I had to take my car back to Moss Bros Buick GMC 2 days later. They stated I had a dead cell in my battery, and I needed to buy another part, which was the same part I bought when I brought the car in the week before. So this totaled up to $200.00. They also had my car for about 4 days for this issue. They even assured me after this incident my car is good to go. Now I've had my car for a week and I'm driving home from work. The check engine light comes on for the 3rd time, the car is overheating, and I break down on the side of the freeway again!!! My car just completely SHUT OFF! I was in the WORST spot possible. The tow driver did not want to help me because I was in such a dangerous spot. I tow my car back to MOSS BROS. Now they are telling me I need a brand new engine and it's going to cost me $8,000.00 and GM (General Motors) is not paying for anything. My car has been there for 2 weeks now. read more

I stop by a few weeks ago, was given a price for a GMC Terrain when i said i wanted to look around i was encourage to do so and when i return they would not honor the price but the sales manager was quick to raise the price a thousand dollars. the reason i was given by Mr. Ali was that the rebates were no longer available gone after just a week ( how convenient). switch and bait, yes they will tell you it is legal but Is it right? Bought a Buick from Moss Bros back in November. I couldn't be happier. The sales department was friendly, the process was painless and I love my new car. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because the service department has been very difficult to work with. First, they're impossible to get a hold of. Plan to call 4-5 times before anyone will pick up the phone. Then, make sure you ask them to bring out the old part that's being changed out or fixed as proof that it's actually been done. I needed a quick part change on something that was working intermittently. After three long trips to the service department I supposedly had it fixed. It worked for one day. Seems fishy to me. I'm tired of making the long drive for sloppy work. The worst part is that I have to get the work done at Moss Bros for it to be covered by the warranty. read more

We brought our hybrid i for a couple of different issues. The first being that the car had a number of odd sounds and the AC was not working correctly. The electric function of the hybrid was not working correctly also. The first time we brought it in, it was kept over a weekend because the company we had the warranty with took a couple of days to approve the replacement parts. As it worked out, we were able to use my sisters car while it was in so it wasn't so bad. The diagnosis was that a transmission part was bad (not covered) and the master cylinder for the brakes was going out (an odd sound coming from the dash), also not covered. The AC compressor was replaced and we had to pay for two different diagnostic fees. We took the car home and within a couple of days the car was driving worse than before and stalled in an intersection with my wife driving it. We brought it back in. We were unlucky enough to have this happen on a Thursday. The service rep (Jon) was really good and got us a rental for the weekend. The only mechanic for the hybrid called in sick on Monday and it was turning into a long stay for the car again. This time around it was diagnosed as a "module" issue and that the problems from before were all related to this. The part was brought in and replaced. the problem we had was that the fees we paid for the first time should have been returned as they were misdiagnosed to begin with and were not the problem after all. Your service rep was really good throughout the ordeal, and tried to help as much as possible. The biggest concern that we had was the issue of not having enough trained personnel to work on my hybrid. I understand that it's a different animal than what they are used to but it took a very long time to get this resolved and was a great inconvenience to us, and involved over 10 days without our car to get fixed. The front end of the show was great, the back end...not so much. read more

I suddenly became very important to them once they learned I had purchased from another dealer. They sent me several emails trying to figure out why I didn't purchase from them. Yes, I was frustrated that when I called I got transferred to 4-5 people before I got in touch with the person I was calling to talk to. I was also frustrated that no one called me back even though they said they would, I had to call to find out the status of the deal. I was a serious buyer and felt like I had to get a special favor from you to buy the car. I don't feel like people were upfront and honest - just told me what they thought I wanted to hear so they could string me along. What vehicle did you purchase? I purchased the vehicle that I was trying to purchase from your dealership; 2012 GMC Yukon 4WD. Where did you buy? I bought from a local dealership that was happy to have my business; Temecula Buick GMC What was it that made you decide to buy from them? I was on my way to your dealership on Friday (Dec 14th) when I got a call from Theresa saying that they couldn't get the approval from the bank. Knowing that when my credit was initially run I had a credit score of 761 and my mom had a credit score of 845 I knew I was getting the run around. I was appalled when Mike called me to tell me that we could only get approved with 4.99% financing. I had purchased a vehicle in September on my own for 0% interest and I knew my mom could get 0% financing without any problems....even with me on the loan. I am upset that my credit was run by your dealership so much that my credit score dropped to 680 over a period of 2 days. I also got $2000 more for my trade from Temecula Buick GMC. They WANTED to sell me a car and made the numbers work to fit my budget instead of ignoring me like your dealership did. The salesperson was upfront, the sales manager listened to me, the general manager insured that I was getting the best deal and wasn't being treated like I was from Moss Bros, and the finance manager got us approved for 0% without any difficulty 10 MINUTES AFTER WE APPLIED FOR CREDIT!!!! Your dealership took TWO DAYS to decide to screw me with 4.99% interest - thanks but no thanks! Honestly, getting the run around from your dealership cost you 2 car deals from 2 people that had cash in hand and were serious buyers. Not only did I get my Yukon, my mother is buying a new Buick Lacrosse from Temecula Buick GMC. This is because we both want new cars and Temecula Buick GMC was upfront, honest, and made us feel good about our purchase. I tried to buy the Yukon from your dealership for TWO DAYS! I even offered to put a down payment on the Yukon I wanted from your dealership and was told that your dealership couldn't take a deposit because the car was on special....which was another factor that really upset me. Due to my frustration with they nonsense run around I was getting from Moss Bros, instead of driving to your dealership Friday night, I called Temecula Buick GMC, told them I was ready to buy and told them what I wanted. Two hours later they found my Yukon at another dealer and we were signing a contract. Thank you for your offer of 10% off my first service at your dealership, but I will not be taking you up on it. Temecula Buick GMC is giving me my first service for free. In addition, because of the excellent service I received from them, they will be getting all of my future business. I plan to share my experience with Moss Bros vs Temecula Buick GMC with the BBB as well as Google Reviews and Yelp. This is a customer satisfaction oriented society, so in my opinion, if you wish to stay in business with a good reputation, then you are going to have to work hard at making sure your prospective customers don't get the run around I experienced. I went there to trade my 2013 Honda crosstour in that I bought from there in December I got a letter saying they would give me 120%blue book value for my car so after looking I decided on a car Sharon told me the last crosstour they sold was $ 8,000.that was an out and out lie because the week before they had 3 crosstours on car gurus listed from 17,000 to 23,000 and when I got there the day after labor day they only had one left so I doubt they sold one for 8,000 I gave her my letter she told me I don't think you can use this here,but then I never saw the letter again.I also drove for a hour to get there.The crosstour of mine has no dings or dents it looks the same as when I bought it.I cant believe in 9 months it depreciated that much so I don't recommend buying a car from them theres more but I'm tired of typing..thanks read more

I submitted an internet request for a GMC Terrain and was given several quotes from dealers via Edmunds. I was told by Moss Bros GMC in Moreno Valley that they had a vehicle for me that was available for same day purchase. After driving 70 miles I arrived at the dealership to find the sales person Keith Allen had went home. His manager had gone home as well. The car I was told would be there was not even in stock. I was then offered another vehicle. I have never dealt with this kind of unprofessionalism when buying a vehicle in my life. The next morning I called the dealership to complain and spoke to Kacy who told me that he would rectify the situation. All they could offer me was some accessories. I want other consumers to know that Moss Bros dealership in Moreno Valley was very deceptive to us. Out of all the dealers who contacted me, this was the only dealer who did not provide a vin number for the vehicle. Ive never had issues at the service department. In fact, the service was always A+, until recently! I had an appointment for an oil change at 7:15 am. I was promised my vehicle within an hour and 30 minutes. 3 hours later, my vehicle hadn't been touched. I was livid! Justin & Jeremy were unable to give me a time frame of when my car would be ready. The answer I got, "your vehicle will be done shortly", wth does that mean??! 30 minutes? An hour?? Ridiculous men they have in customer service. Thanks to Jose who was professional enough to resolve the problem and my car was ready within 30 minutes of speaking with him. The next day my husband takes his truck in.......the truck hasn't even put in and already they are quoting services without looking at the hood and Recommending brake servicing because it looks dirty???Very shady and dishonest men in there!
