The staff is rude and besides the nice decor that matches the hotel the food is not that good either. A mix of all these things and a city full of restaurants. We had a terrible experience here. When we sat down the first thing the waitress said was "are you ready to order?" No introduction, no specials (it was Valentines Day), nothing. Our appetizer was brought to wrong table, then brought to us FROM THAT TABLE, after person dropped some on floor. Charcuterie board was bar green olives and sliced deli meat with two crackers. Our food came at same time (dry salmon). The waitress then took my wife's glass and never came back. We are our entire meal without drinks. The next time we even saw her was to get the check. Very pretty view of the River if you sit outside. Appetizers are over priced due to their portion size and quality. We got the charcuterie board and it came with 3 pieces of each meat, 3 pieces of blue cheese, 1 piece of Brie, and 3 pieces of a random cheese with a couple olives and a few crackers (18$). Barely enough to feed 2 people. The entrees were very subpar. The "flat breads" were the equivalent of greasy frozen thin pizzas you get at Costco. The waitress was very nice but it always takes them 10 minutes minimum to come give you water and take your drink order (and they rarely come and check in on you / often forgetting parts of your order). Overall, a fine place to go for a prettify view and a drink (maybe an appetizer depending on the kitchen that night). read more

I wish I could review the food. We stayed at the Hyatt and attempted to grab breakfast in the morning. The line of people being ignored waiting for tables was ridiculous. The two women working were making their own coffees and ignored them all. The only reason I'm even writing this is because while waiting I witnessed one of the two women (they were both wearing medical gloves ) go from drinking her coffee , to wiping her spilled coffee on the floor with a rag , to mixing something that was being served , to touching more plates being served without changing gloves . At that point the whole line walked away. There were only two tables seated at the time but they also weren't being served and were trying to get the women's attention. If you are staying at the hotel and happen to be starving I suppose it's good that there's a bar, so you can drink until you pass out so you don't have to eat here. The food (salad, potato dumplings, and a burger) was either old or undercooked. Literally could not chew some pieces. If you are coming to Savannah for a great food experience, skip this place. Experience is the key word here - once we informed our waitress that the food was blatantly not up to par, after 25 minutes it was taken care of, however no manager or anyone else came to check on the experience or why we had sent the food back. Granted again, hotel restaurant here, but not worth your vacation $$$. read more

Dad was tired so we decided to eat in at the hotel. Restaurant is newly renovated. I was here last year and they improved so much within a year. I love the new modern open space look. I love the open space in the oven fire, so cool. We ordered honey glazed wings, crab soup, buttermilk fried chicken, angus burger, and a salad. Honey glazed wings were sweet and just a bit spicy. It was juicy and delicious. Crab soup came with one oven baked tomato in it. Don't see the point but it was good. Soup had plenty of crab meats. Buttermilk fried chicken is a huge portion. Came with 4 pieces (breast, thigh, wing, and a drum stick) in a black iron pot. On the side, mashed potatoes and green beans. Very tasty. Only downside is fried chicken seems to fried too much and it was very chewy. Salad, can't really go wrong with. Angus Burger was my favorite. I liked it so much that I ordered it Togo the next night. Thick juicy burger grilled to your liking with bacon, cheese, and fried onion strips, with pickle and choice of fries or sweet potato tots on the side. I recommend the sweet potato tots. Overall, food I give about 3.5-4 stars. Service was very attentive and manager stopped by many times asking how everything was. When I ordered Togo the next night, they were really busy. The lady who took my order apologize and informed me that it may take a long time. I didn't mind because I was sitting by the window looking at the river. It's beautiful. While I waited, the same girl brought my Togo and again apologized for the wait. She put in a fruit cup on the house. Yay! Anyhow, great service and knew how to keep customers happy. read more

We popped in her for Savannah burger week. They had a delicious burger on the menu. It's a hotel restaurant so it's not anything over the top special. Service was meh. The chef sat us and took our food order, the actual server didn't come ask our drink order for like ten minutes! So service was not great. We sat done for every waiting on our check. Stopped in for a late nite drink and snack. The place had 2 tables of people inside, and a couple outside. The bar tender was busy but the wait staff was cleaning and resetting tables and just mulling around. After waiting fifteen minutes with no one showing up to take our order, I went to the bar and asked if we could get served. A while went by and finally a lady came, asked what e wanted. I said e needed menus please, she brought some over to the table, threw them down, and told us we would have to go to the bar to place our own orders and huffed off. So we went to the bar, placed our orders,then I asked the bartender what our servers name was. Chiandra or something like that I was told. So if you go here, ask to not have this server. Absolutely inexcusable. I have eaten here two other times and had excellent experiences. Hannah waited on us Wednesday night, was fabulous. Antoinette waited on us this morning, great breakfast buffet and great service. read more

The food was below average. I ordered breakfast for delivery for salmon biscuit, chicken sausage, fresh juice and fruit bowls. Biscuit came without salmon, and the delivery guy told me the salmon was not available. I wish I were informed of this before being delivered. Sausage was overcooked and tasted like a cheap processed one. Fruit bowl looked like the one you can find in gas station, and fresh juice was the one you buy in publix or kroger. We threw them away after trying one bite. And plus, the food price was pretty high. Zero plan to come back to this place ever. read more

Stayed at the hotel where restaurant is located. Ordered pick up since I didn't want to pay extra for room service. Ordered buffalo wings & salmon first night. Wings are pretty average, salmon was not bad but the sides (roasted veggies & red rice) were mediocre, both screamed for acid though I suppose I should have asked for lemon. Second night ordered fries which were average as well, stayed crispy. Also got caesar salad & paid extra to get chicken added which was the driest piece of chicken I've ever had! Cornbread croutons were awful as well. Comepletely overpriced. Staff was nice, though. Much better options outside the hotel, mainly was getting it for convenience. read more

We ordered while staying at the Hyatt...I've never had a more burnt burger in my life. I'm talking dry and hard to chew burnt. For 16.00 I expected something at least edible. I ate half and just decided it was too gross and I'd rather go hungry. My husband also had the burger and ate it despite not liking it. I woke at 4 am vomiting the undigested burnt burger from 8pm. My husband spent a good portion of the next day on toilets from intestinal distress if you get my drift. This very uncommon for either of us. Not impressed with the food at all. The cauliflower is straight out of the refrigerator despite the description stating roasted. I took one bite and almost gagged on the amount of lemon in it. My daughters goat cheese and strawberry salad had no goat cheese I it. A baby smear on the bread but that's it. The waitress could obviously see I didn't touch my food but made a point to hurry with the check so I didn't have a chance to tell her it wasn't good. And having a full bowl she knew it wasn't because she didn't even offer a box. $27 for a piss poor meal that I know have to hit up a drive through. Pricey but expected since it's a hotel restaurant (inside Hyatt). The bartenders are very light on their pours so expect to pay more for a lighter drink than other nearby bars. We got the wings and pimento grilled cheese. No one around us seemed to like the flavor or lack of crispness of the wings. They weren't good but the grilled cheese was delicious. Highly recommend. Being a Saturday night, the restaurants on River Street seemed a bit too busy, so we headed to Moss and Oak in the Hyatt. We were seated outside overlooking the river and the action on River Street. We ordered the cheese and meats for an appetizer. This was a little different than expected because there were hot pretzels instead of crackers, but they were great. We also ordered the blue crab flat bread which was good. Our favorite was the shrimp and grits - not too heavy and great flavor. Our server was attentive and helpful as well. Lastly, the host and server knew it was my husband's birthday and brought out a complimentary dessert of chocolate chip banana bread pudding, which was delicious. Overall. Don't forget to ask your friendly and efficient waiter about the fresh honey and the various herbs grown right on top of the hotel for use in the restaurant. Disappointed is an understatment. We visited the Moss and Oak on Thursday, February 17th 2022 with the intent to have dinner. Our party of four had a gift certificate that had a $163 balance and expiration date of 12/ 31/ 21. Before being seated I made a point of showing the hostess the GC so as to avoid an issue when settling our bill. She denied us the use of using this GC. Considering the whole "covid" situation, I completely expected that they would honor this GC, not to mention that the Federal Gift Card Law, Credit CARD Act of 2009, states that gift certificates and store gift cards CANNOT expire for five years. However, issuers can still charge an "inactivity fee" if the card has not been used within twelve months. (15 U.S.C. § 1693l-1). We spoke to the hostess, the manager, and an off duty manager was called. We were advised to call the number on the back of the gift certificate for further help. The next morning we did just that , and we reached a personal cell phone number. I tried again, the next day, to make contact with management at Moss and Oak, left a voice mail and heard nothing back. We are home now and have no further plans to visit the city in the near future. What a shame, and what a slap in the face to the people who purchased this certificate for us. read more
